It's March 5th, let's get into entertainment and celebrity news. Deadliest catch Decan Todd Meadows died at age 25 on February 25th after falling overboard from the fishing vessel, Aleutian lady, in the Bering Sea. The incident happened about 170 miles north of Dutch Harbor and the crew recovered him unresponsive around 10 minutes later. Despite first aid in resuscitation efforts, he could not be saved. The sea was flat and calm that day, but the water temperature hovered just a degree or two above freezing. Coastart Tray John Greene, the third shared details of the desperate rescue, saying he spotted Meadows swimming and keeping his eyes on him from the deck. As the boat turned back, Greene explained that the crew's designated rescue swimmer jumped in with a life-sling attached to a crane, but the harness broke during the lift. Meadows made it into the sling once, only to fall back into the water when he was almost aboard. The team pulled him out a second time, but he was lifeless by then, turning blue after just three or four minutes in the water.

They performed CPR for 30 to 45 minutes and used an AED defibrillator, but nothing worked, and the captain eventually called it. Captain Rick Schelford called it the most tragic day in the boat's history, praising Meadows as a hardworking new crew member with a contagious smile. Discovery network expressed deep sadness, and the Coast Guard confirmed the details of the recovery. Quick thanks to today's sponsor, see the description for more.
