Heroic Chihuahua Saves Owner's Life

A two-legged Chihuahua named Champ became a real hero by alerting his owner to a heart attack before any symptom showed up. The dog belongs to 63-year-old Andrew Kusik from Locust Grove, Georgia. Champ has disabled front legs, but walks fine on his two normal back legs. One day, Champ started hugging Kusik's chest and winding in a way he never had before. Kusik knew something was off because it was totally out of character for the little guy, that unusual behavior turned out to be a lifesaver. Kusik rushed to an Atlanta hospital and went straight into emergency surgery. Doctors saved him just in time. Without Champs warning, things could have gone very differently. Kusik and his wife have adopted six special needs Chihuahua, including Champ. They give these dogs a loving home despite their challenges. Kusik feels deeply grateful and believes he owes his life to Champ. He even says a higher power plays the dog right there to watch over him.
