Headlines: Israel bombs Syrian capital

Israel has bombed the Syrian capital of Damascus, its third strike on the country this week.
Australia’s unemployment rate rose to 4.3% in June, up from 4.1% in May.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has concluded his visit to China, saying his focus with the country is on reaching “more agreement and less disagreement”.
And the good news: Moesha Johnson has become the first Australian to win the women’s 10km open water swimming title in Singapore at the World Aquatics Championships.
