• U.S. first lady Melania Trump has denied that she had any relationship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. 
• Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has authorised direct negotiations with Lebanon "as soon as possible,” a day after it bombed its capital Beirut with airstrikes that killed more than 300 people.
