He made the announcement in an Instagram post on Monday after seven professional seasons. Hurst starred at the University of South Carolina from 2015 to 2017. The Baltimore Ravens drafted him 25th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. He spent his first five years bouncing between the Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, and Cincinnati Bengals. Then he joined the Panthers before the 2023 season. With Carolina, Hurst started 8 of 9 gangs, catching 18 passes for 182 yards and 1 touchdown. A concussion in their week 10 loss to the Chicago Bears ended his year early. Hurst played his final season in 2024 with the Los Angeles Chargers, closing out a solid career across multiple teams.
