From San Francisco, California, this is the Rock n' Roll Geek Show. This is the story of my Rock n' Roll Butler. Welcome to the Rock n' Roll Geek Show. My name is Michael Butler. Thanks a lot for joining me. I really appreciate it. Today's Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, and I am coming from a place called the Tip Top Deluxe in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is day one of the Hanson Dick Manitoba Strane's tour. We arrived in Detroit last, yesterday last, last, no, on Monday night, Craig and I flew in from San Francisco, and we stayed at a hotel near the airport, and we practiced at

the Strane's rehearsal studios in Detroit. I pulled out my bass, and fuck, the headstock was broken. Yay! Thank you, United Airlines. I pulled it out of the case, and sure enough, broken headstock. So fortunately, Paul from the Strane's, great guy, he was letting me practice at his house, he got a basement full of vintage quality gear. He had a p-base, he let me borrow, and he glued my headstock back together, and brought it to the hotel today, so I practiced last night with the p-base, and if I like the Hagstrom, it just seems more natural for me in any way. So I strung it up today at the hotel, and Grand Rapids, so far, so good. We're getting ready to do a sound check, we're loading in now, I snuck off to do this

podcast. By the way, thank you for listening. I'm going to be doing these every day, like I'm going to try every day for this tour. We're doing five shows. Today, tomorrow, I'm not sure where tomorrow is, maybe Milwaukee, I think. Hopefully see you at Paul Lack, and some other people. I hope to see you. If you want to come, friends, send me an email, rockandrollgeekageemail.com, and with the subject line, put me on the guest list, asshole, or whatever. Just let me know, or send me a message on Facebook or something, and I'll do my best to get you in for free, friends, and I would love to have a beer with you. So we're getting ready to sound check, I have no idea what the precells are. We rehearsed with Richard, yes, with Manitoba yesterday, he seems to be in a lot better form. He's been eating, and hopefully this tour will be okay. See why you can, because as you know, Ross the Boss has Lou Gehrig's Zees, and I'm sure you heard the wonderful, wonderful, shit-fucking news about ginger, wild heart.

Manitoba is just fucking devastating, man, everybody, well, if you don't know, he was diagnosed with an rare and aggressive form of lymphoma cancer, or something like that. Let's all pray for ginger, and I just found out my brother has stage three pain-creatic cancer, which is supposedly the deadliest form of cancer there is, so let's say a prayer for everybody with cancer, friends. They can put a man on the moon, et cetera, et cetera. All right. So here we are, Grand Rapids and Michigan, looking forward to tonight's show, hopefully it's going to be good. The strains are great guys, and women, Greta is one of the guitar players, she's a cool girl too, and her son, her son Callum plays bass, and he's letting me use his gear. I plugged the camper into it, and hopefully everything's going to be great, hopefully it's going to be a good crowd tonight. It's a small place, we'll dive bar, which I love dive bars.

Got myself a red cooler, there's a Walmart down the street from the hotel in Detroit, and I had it delivered, so I got a red cooler for the tour, so everything's going to be fucking great, and I got a 12 pack of medellos ready to go. Let's rock, and hopefully my bass is going to stick together. All right, friends. Thank you for listening. I'll check back in tomorrow, I'll try to get the same post it after the sound check. Thanks again to the strains for booking this tour and letting us use their gear and van. And we got John, the judge, who's a manager, who's a Richard's manager with us, Mark Capitan, his brother on guitar, of course Craig, Bear Horse, who I couldn't play without, and Scottie Slam on drums, and greatest merch girl in the world, Brigitte. Come see her by a T-shirt. If you come, if I put you on the list, do us a favor and buy a shirt, pay Brigitte a visit, she'll treat you right.

All right, friends, I'll talk to you tomorrow. In honor of Ginger, I'm going to probably play Wild Hearts and Ginger Tunes for this entire tour. I'm going to play something from Valor, Decorator's On. The man who cheated, well, did I bring that song in yet? The man who cheated death. I got to pause this and bring it in. I'll talk to you later, friends. I'm feeling every feeling I have today, I wouldn't have it any other way. This is my man just a state of mind, it's something else, and I'm leaving you behind. I'll be in shock, and I'll be in shock, and I'll run down the corner in the road. But that works meaning well, because I've never seen the world I miss.

I know I've never seen the world I miss. Oh, when the devil is trying to tell me, when there was not a single inch on the road, when the demons they sent me, were a cavity upon me down. What an egg or no egg, there's no one to kill me now. I'll see much more than I ever could eat to see, but it falls and comes easily. Stance to reason, I'm in a lost again, but not for me.

I take my lessons seriously, I mean I can't make a mistake, for everything is going to hurt me, and it makes me leave my phone. Now, how you get yourself up on the ground, how you get yourself up on the ground. Oh, when the devil is trying to tell me, when there was not a single inch on the road, when the demons they sent me, were a cavity upon me down. What an egg or no egg, there's no one to kill me now.

Oh, when the devil is trying to tell me, when there was not a single inch on the road, when the demons they sent me, were a cavity upon me down. What an egg or no egg, there's no one to kill me now. When I break up, will you leave me from the hell, which you lay me down. Why did I ever know, there's never going to kill me now.

It's a rock-a-roll geek train wreck.
