On April 29th, Hammond's boys golf team just snagged their first-date championship in nearly a decade, dropping a two-day total of 500. 73. To top the SCI-SA Class 4, a title at the Hackwick course in Conway. The Skyhawks beat Trinity Collegiate by seven shots for their ninth team crown overall. Heathwood Hall's Connor Wolf stole the show individually, finishing 11 under par at 133. He fired a course record nine under 63 in the final round to pull ahead by seven shots over Hammond's Marcus Bradley and Hilton Head. Christians Sage Bradshaw Wolf started Tuesday, two shots back of Bradshaw's opening 68, but that birdie blitz changed everything. For Hammond, Bradley let it 1 for 20, Woods West and hit 141, and the squad's depth sealed the team victory after years. Without a title, other SCI-SA champs got crowned too. With Spartan Bird Day taking Class 3A, Charleston Collegiate in 2A, and Heritage Academy in Class A.

Trinity's sat at 580, Hilton Head Christian at 594, and the field trailed from there. Big props to these young golfers lighting up the links, proving grip pays off on the fairway.
