00Dealing with Crohn's BVL clinical research is here to help our mission is simple improve lives through safe Compassionate research you may receive study related care at no cost and compensation see if you qualify at BVL research dot com That's BVL research dot com Vivo fat Jack fat Jack is joining us now in the program I'm Todd Liebo in for Seren Petro This is not the normal football segment with fat Jack from fat Jack sports because we're not going to go around and embarrass ourselves with our picks We're going to just talk to the expert fat Jack about what's going to happen in this tournament going on Jack. How are you doing today, buddy? Yeah, I've done great Todd. Thanks. Yeah, the good news is that the money that you make during basketball spins exactly the same That's right the money that you make during football it doesn't make any difference your Costco doesn't know the difference so whatever you're going to do with your extra cash So since we talked last really good start to the tournament for us, which is odd because It was also a really good start for the public and that's normally not the case when the general public does really well

02Which they did if you didn't make money as a general public better say you're not you know You're just picking your best teams and you're not you don't really know how to handicap you just like basketball You should have done really well last week and normally when that happens my clients and I don't do as well But we were we're 21 and eight over the last seven days In basketball so a hundred-dollar players up over 1200 bucks. So really good week undefeated this week three at all in the NBA just a little bit of a side of what's gonna come after this Tournament we're gonna make a ton of money in the NBA the three at all this week 21 and eight over the last week That's last seven days and a week when the general public should kind of be bowing their chest a little bit So if you didn't win Last week, I mean guys, I don't know what to take because that was about as easy as a weekend that you're gonna have from a just General public standpoint a card. How'd you do last week? You win? Yeah last week was my week fat check

03Honestly, I mean I don't want to point you out, but I mean that's it was as good easy as it can be for a guy that just for anybody that just Watches basketball cares about basketball. We have the most five bet teams of the entire weekend in round two We're Michigan State Michigan Texas Duke and Houston are five and up. Yeah against the spread favorites with 32 and eight straight up And then come on. Yeah, that's one of the things I was gonna ask you Jack not specific before we get into these games But we do our little bracket Contest I have this silly way to score it where it's like seed upsets and all this kind of stuff here It's not not points breads, but it's the fewest amount of Bonus points available in the first round we've ever had because there weren't upsets really and I don't know This is like two years in row when it's kind of been this way is this a real trend we can see at this point where early in the tournament We're we're not going to see as many Cinderella type things because of for whatever reason whether it's transfer portal N.I.L Whatever it is this are we on a real trend here that we're gonna lose some of that stuff

05In N.I.L. has killed Cinderella. Yeah, I mean something that a lot of people that the wicked witch and the apple Oh, they couldn't kill Cinderella N.I.L. killed Cinderella and tell me get more balance and I talk about this I do an hour long show that runs in a lot of markets called the Fetch X Sports Are you can get it on all your podcast stations or whatever talk a lot about that this week and that you Basketball's different than football in that not only do you need fewer players when you're recruiting football players You have you have to kind of guess the other's all guesstimate to it. All right, right? I mean you're not a three-eighth player who's in the state of Texas compared to a five-eighth player from Connecticut You're not others at how high they jump and how much they bench press and all that you're actual football Analyzation is gonna have to do some comparative shop You're gonna have to try to figure out am I getting a better athlete out of a smaller school that plays worse Convocation in a better part of the country versus a big school Maybe in a part of the country that doesn't normally produces good athletes football

07It's a little more guess word basket ball is absolutely not guys and I go back to try young because I coached try Young in the who plays for a Washington now coach try young and football as a kid his dad coached my son in basketball So I kind of watched the how that AAU system works try young was the 18th rank 12-year-old in the entire country as a 12-year-old Everybody knows everybody in basketball they play each other they go to Vegas for tournaments They go to Atlanta for a bit guys out there with you got a bunch of people listening right now They've got kids in the AAU circuit. There's a huge tournament in Atlanta. They all go to and so they don't have to guess They know how one player stacks up against another player This is horrible if you're trying to recruit from James Madison or Miami of Ohio even with their run because you have to then take a kid that everybody in the world knows going into college is Not as good as the kids that do and Michigan and all these states all these schools are getting

10There's no guesswork so that outliers gonna be a lot more difficult to come by because these kids have all played to get Each other sometimes that they were 11-12 years old so for for Cinderella purposes it makes it much harder and the answer question to yes I it absolutely is a trend It's gonna continue until they get some type of balance in NIL dollars and and switch up the game a little bit to make A school that are smaller more competitive. I think we're gonna see a lot more years like this I said it was gonna be a chalky year last week when I came on the show and besides Florida getting upset That's kind of where we are right now a lot of favorites a lot of better teams making their way into the second Lincoln Yeah, some kids slide through and gets to a smaller school He's only gonna be there for a year because in some way cocaine and getting me to school all right Let's talk about these games. I mean 11 seed is kind of a Cinderella But there is no Cinderella about Texas. They got a lot of money They had a kind of it is disappointing year. They ended up the 11 seed But they're they're facing Purdue now Purdue has been weird for me. I think they were so good early

11I kind of gave up on them, but they're playing a lot better basketball right now Seven and a half son awful big number in in this game maybe but I don't I don't know What do you think about this one? Here's what I'd say expect Texas got hot at the right time They've also had good matchups going back to the first four in good matchups for them The big little lady and kid inside is a matchup problem for the schools that they played But he won't be as big a matchup problem for Purdue, but I would expect across the board More underdogs, which is contrarian to what's happened lately if you talk to the sports books The guys that you do this for a living they run the books the absolute this has been this was across the board The worst week of the entire year in 2025 Was this coming weekend for the sports book? They had the loss the most money of any week of the entire year of the 52 weeks They damn want they you know people damn on sports sweet 16 weekend in 2025 was the most profitable For the the public and the least profitable for the sports book

13So we have to start with that, but after I say that you're not gonna normally get Under favorites winning and covering at the same flip that we have last weekend So expect that to revert back a little bit and by the way Nobody should be crying for sports books. They're doing the spot. They do okay. Arla isn't Arla isn't everything else I mean they're keeping the you know where you're gonna get air conditioning to get a bag of this summer They're gonna still have it. Yeah, even though the public is gonna have a good weekend or two So teams like Texas you definitely could see covering There's a few of those coming up this weekend that you could see covering but not winning There are got to experience one of the guys You don't like to bet on teams that aren't if they can't win. They can't cover type I think that's a ridiculous stare. I've told him that before but I think he likes I think there will be some teams this week That are able to cover but probably not win I thought Arkansas into that mix for sure Certainly Illinois has a chance to win straight up You go to Friday St. John's I think do place better this weekend Alabama getting almost double digits They have a good chance to cover so I do think you'll have some of these teams that will have a better opportunity to cover than normal

18But having said that it's been a kind of a public weekend at least over the last 12 months or so The interesting one for me to watch guys is the you know the Iowa Nebraska game. Yeah, that you know Iowa Normally double digit favorites that move into the sweet 16 have a horrible track record their next game and then Nebraska is I mean They got the mayor Hoiber just got a believing right now But if you are it's it's 0203 so it's been about 20 some odd years a double digit seed That moves into this round that they are 0 and 6 straight up and 1 and 5 against the spread that's exactly what Iowa is having The floor to straight up in the double digit dog. So that's kind of the interesting one for me You're getting kind of a vulnerable spot and what Nebraska is nobody's really quite believing in them even though they are forcing But that this is a tough spot for Iowa So that's certainly one to watch the other one Rick Barnes not good at covering during the tournament he covers at an 18% slip over his career Are eight and 20 straight up and my clients and I had 10 to see to win their last round

21So that was one of those that they did cover the Barnes is one of those guys that just historically speaking has not been good against the number and here They're getting points It's certainly wanted to keep an eye on and you talk about you know You get enough data on some coaches over the years that that's one thing when you mentioned Iowa You know Ben McCollum has only been in division one for two years only been in Iowa for one year It's the lowest total by far on the board and I think Iowa would love to have this game go under because they have a much better chance of winning Probably if there's a hundred and twenty six points score in this game or something like that How do you handicap a Ben McCollum team yet when you don't have as much data on to say you do like a Rick Barnes? Well any of these people it it is at times the tolls are low and my clients will tell you this We've made a bunch of money not only this last week in the 21 and eight run that we've had But over the course of season if you have low low totals There's a reason why slow the general public that the fewer of these games that funnel get smaller You get the guys vetting on games that really don't want a handicap They everybody wants a bit favor so they want a bit over so you're not getting any value going over and when you get a low total like this

27You're going to have even more people saying my gosh one thirty two what is that they're doing the math in their head right sixty seven sixty-five That's barely there sixty-nine that host that somebody's got a score seven you write I mean that's what kind of where you end up so they're going to go over There's some value with the under it spots like this overs had a good week last week in They they had a really good run expect that after you know Thursdays eight and eight Over under totals were 19 and 13 to go over so they pushed the first day and then they win basically every other day The overstep again more toward the general politics was really well last week Expect that to revert back a little bit that game you're talking about is exactly one of those I would need to keep a lower story they have one of the lowest possessions per game in the entire country So they don't they don't get that many possessions because they do a lot withers and they play pretty good deep It's making their opponents move deeper into the shot club The the tight score also there's not going to be a lot of taking off or a tight line Nebraska only be in favor by one and a half or so not going to be a lot of free buckets and breakaways

32Everybody's going to be real methodical about each possession That's going to lead you toward the under as well. So I actually like under that one Yeah, and if Houston and Iowa win The total could be even less on the next one I think Houston scores a little bit this year But they get kelvin's teams always have a little stretch where maybe they don't score and there's still playing some pretty good defense Do you do you like Houston playing at home to get out of this thing at this point though? Because it's not very often you get to play in your home city to go to the final four Illinois is a better team than it's used in this year kelvin fans has been great over his career in the term him And Tom is only talking about this last week also. I said these coaches someone just know how to flip the switch They make their way into the second weekend almost no matter what and Houston is one of those teams They're not as good this year as they have been in the years past Especially as you mentioned the defense aside in the ball They give up a few more points. They do score a little few more out of necessity But they're hard home and they've got the better coach for sure I mean he is going to get everything out of these kids in this spot

35Uh Caled Samson is a really really good basketball coach especially for March But I don't like betting against the better team especially getting points And you know, we see teams go on the road a lot and get it done So I would lean toward Illinois in the game. There's better spots to your point I do think it goes this is another one of those that probably trends under Because of what the general public will do because of what Houston's been able to kind of do offensively this year But you're exactly right. They'll go through stretches of game and not score And frankly the deeper we get into their season The defense has ratcheted up a little bit They've been more methodical with their possessions So we've seen a few more of their games going under some got surprised me at all If this is one of those even though Illinois likes to get up and down They like for a lot user athletic ability So it is kind of a contrasting of style I would lean toward under a little bit They got to get over 139.5 that's into the 70s If they get into the 70s, I don't think Houston wins I think it's an Illinois win. It's either a Houston and under or an Illinois impossible over this one

35They're available. Illinois has their way offensively. I'm not sure he should be deep up We're talking to fat Jack from fat Jack sports I want to ask you two quick ones about a couple of games that I really I'm going to watch them all But I'm excited about Arizona against Arkansas Arkansas is fun team to watch Acuff is something and if he's healthy and ready to go and Arizona is just proven time and time again They're they can just do it a lot of ways They got they they don't shoot a lot of threes But they play really good brand of basketball. Let's talk about that one a little bit It's one of the late ones on Thursday night And they're also one of those that's going to present some matchup problems We talked about what taxes and their big kid inside does Arizona's got similar issues that they're going to present for Arkansas You always got to have a big euro, right? They got a big euro. So that's that stuff Absolutely some dude that you don't want to see them with a shirt off is going to blind the sunlight I mean, basically all of Iowa and Nebraska's teams. Yeah, I mean, it's some big dude that needs a tan needs to go sit in a tanning booth someplace But he will present some problems if you can't combat that That's why this number so big we talked last week. There hasn't been a national champion

39From west of the state of Kansas since 1997 So at some point I believe in some things like that. It's not just about The anomaly of nobody west winning It's more about who you're recruiting what you're getting on campus And then when the really things get serious who's able to perform It's normally somebody Kansas not normally the last what almost 30 years Nor east of the state of Kansas, Oklahoma Texas in that line Nobody west so there's one that's the late 90s So I'm not sure this is it because I do think Arizona gets by this one After that it gets a little dice here for them But it becomes a little bit about matchups in that one And I do think Arizona presents some problems. They win. It would be tough for me to Bet him to cover because the market side does shoot it well from the outside And it's a bit of an Alabama both It's if they shoot it well from the outside they are very very dangerous I'm not sure they can beat Arizona even if they do shoot it well from the outside But they can certainly cover the number same way with Alabama They're going to present a lot of problems That's going to be really a lot of pressure going on late in that game

41If they hit a pretty high percentage up from behind the arc Yeah, you mentioned Alabama That's the other one I really want to watch on Friday night Against Michigan that total is over 40 points more than the I win a brass game We talked about so I mean, it's all the same game There's so many different styles to play This one looks like it should be an up and down fun game Michigan I thought was if not the best team one of the best two teams that they did play Duke And then not a non-con or the regular it was later in the year They placed neutral site game and they did not win that game But Michigan's got a lot going for them. They did hurt me They hurt me bad when they lost Purdue in the national or their their big 10 championship game And I was playing a dumb parlay Jack when I know you're not supposed to play those It was bad it was a boost and I just did it And I thought well I'm good to go look I got Michigan And they lost it should I should have cashed out I'm dumb but what do you think about Michigan, Alabama? This one looks like a fun one Yeah, over for sure if anybody can make a layup They don't even have to make it from three This will be one of those up and down the court There will be spurts and not where they don't score

41But they're just going to have so many easy buckets That they're disposable during the game Because both of these teams just flat out try to outscore their opponent And they can't turn on defense this late in the year Where they're certainly not their thing 172 also is a really high number But we've seen this year Totals that get over 170, especially the upper end of that 175, 176 They have been flying over to really high clip They're not going to set a total of 180 All right, so you get these spots where You're trying to get the money even They've got to find a total that will do that But you're going to create some value You do it on the low end once you get around 121, 121, 121 The values in the under because they rarely set it at 118 or 119 For any reason it just gets them the lopsided on one side or the other Same way with the high end One anything over 170 you should always kind of think over the total Because they're not going to make it 181 So why is that number not higher Will we know both these it's because if you put it at 180

43They're going to get hammered on the under If it goes under they're going to lose money They're looking for 50% on both sides So I do think that's one of those Barring some type of Eight-minute stretch where one of the two teams just literally can't throw it in the ocean I think that game probably gets up All right fat jack who's the best team left Yeah, I don't hate your Michigan I haven't hunts the Duke is going to get hot at the right time though I then coming out of the first weekend didn't look great And faint johns is a little bit of a problem because they are very well coached as well coach It knows kind of how to get it going But I would lean toward Duke I had Florida to win the national championship So my bracket although I'm dominating The idiots and my family and my friends and stuff that I'm doing this with I'm pretty much done because I've got the one Good team that's not home or going to can't go in right now So I'm at lean toward Duke I think they're probably Uh, at least they're capable. They're sealing is the highest for me I throw at Arizona because of what I talked about earlier And when you get past that it certainly is a team like Michigan Or I can see Illinois getting hot if they can get out of this ground

43So there's a good teams left there's balance at the top But as we let into this I think Cinderella has certainly been killed by NIL until further about it Fat jack from fat jack sports is our guest And I know we've got baseball getting underway tonight And you talked about the NBA you guys are killing it there What else is on the horizon at this time of year at fat jack sports So baseball's free I sent out over in the Yankee game So play that if you want it's free you paid exactly what you did If you're a client of mine you don't have to pay a dime for baseball As far as the hoops go I said last week guys if you sign up for football season right now Which is the best rate it's going to be the entire year The left through the Super Bowl of 2027 You sign up for baseball you get the basketball for free Through the end of March mad that you'd be up 11 plus games Already a hundred dollar players almost paid for their service fee But the entire year including the entire baseball season for free The rest of March mad is for free a horse racing for free in the triple frown And breeders cup in the fall all of that's free And you're almost done paying for the service fee if you had just Find up last week when we talked at this time

It's fatjacks sports.com. He's got free stuff for you right there and It's going to be fun Watch him as he go because he does a good job with it and I'm excited about these games We'll talk more about them coming up next here on the program We still have David Leskey joining us in the five o'clock hour All right, the Lefeta Dillicateson end of the hour answer how many players in the last 40 years Have averaged 30 points a game and a single NCAA tournament now the official Requirements of that you play at least four games four games can't just be a guy who scored 40 points in the first game and got beat Ricks has happened plenty of times. I'm sure story And I I initially had one of them right away. Mm-hmm. Lin Rice Lin Rice 30.7 and I didn't know the other still holds a record for

48Single points or point in it in a in a tournament. Yes, 184 in 1989. Yeah, he did play I'm sure he's game one had Bill Walton played six games back in 1971 in my discord more, but this is they all played four back then. Yeah And then Georgia Tech did they make the final four that year. Yes. Yes 1992 Vegas Vegas beat them. I think so and Duke would have Well, this was Arkansas was in Arkansas. Yeah, I remember who lost to who Uh, and then the other one by the way Dennis got 30.6 for Georgia Tech in 1990 And that was Dennis Scott. Who else was on that team? It was uh, that was the Dennis Scott and Brian Oliver and There's another dude putting in a Yeah, you could look that up and you look it up while you're saying the other one or you'd look it up in Ali I'll say the other one other one was a guy whose team did not make it to the final four but he almost wrecked Somebody's hopes that would have been Virginia. I believe it was who they played in the elite eight

53Uh, they're in the sweet 16 Carson Edwards Uh, actually I take that back. He sunk Tennessee. I think and then lost to the Georgia Tech or uh Virginia and over time in the elite eight Carson Edwards of Purdue 34.8 In 2019. Kenny Anderson was a freshman on that Georgia Tech. Yeah. Yeah, he was a one and done I believe right Dennis got Brian Oliver. Kenny Anderson. I got him Malcolm McEw played He was he was they beat uh, they lost to Vegas. Lost in the semifinal Vegas uh, one that one was pelting everyone. Yeah, they were good They beat number one Michigan State eighty one eighty two. So they they played two ones. They beat one and lost to one And they got to play six seated Minnesota in the regional final and the the game I think the game that they struggled the most in wasn't that they ball state Peter might be ball state by two Was that in 90 or was it 91? Hey, let me see their score. I'm looking at the bracket now Curtis the bracket the bracket. Uh, oh don't make me click something else. Just hate when I happen to you sons of you

58Yeah, they would have been I tell you what now yada. We don't like this 1990 bracket. Oh, yeah. See, that's what happened Um brackets stunk Arkansas was a four seed. They got to play the 10 seed to go to the final four because that was Oklahoma lost the UNC terrible That was that the crazy so Georgia tech uh, beat Eat East Tennessee State by 16 and they barely beat all of you by three so that was a different year. They played ball state. They beat You human. I'll beat them. Oh, I don't think they struggled in 90 today. Let's see one of the games. I thought it was in 90 They they beat ball state by two. Yeah, that's right. There we go. Yeah, believe it 16 sweet 16 beat him by two they won by 30 uh 11 two against ball state was the 12 seed. Yeah, who had beaten Oregon State and Louisville and then they squeaked past oil and remember about by 30 points in uh, crazy game and uh, that was the lead eight, right? That was the lead eight. Yeah, and then they be Georgia tech

00Maybe uh, all times smack down on Duke Duke Not the next year though. No, not the next year. I got Georgia tech was a was a four seed and made the final four to discuss good player junior He come back play as a senior year Internet will tell me he did not he did not By the way, yes, I had the I had that right when I finally figured it out Purdue had knocked off Tennessee and then lost to Virginia. Yeah, in overtime So I remember cars that were he was just hitting everything. Yeah Virginia. They they they shouldn't have won Yeah, that crazy At the end of the at the end of the was it Texas tech which tech was the game where they think they'd call the fouls No, there was there was Something maybe in the lead eight where the ball got tipped way into the back court Off a missed free throw Yeah, and they happened to fire one up to the to the rim and Diabate kind of Just laid it in to send the game at overtime. I remember because I think it was Brian Anderson was a terrific announcer Thought it was for the win and it was actually for the tie. Yeah

01So that they had they had some good fortune coming to him probably after Spit in the bit by 20 the UMBC UMBC the previous year. Yeah, I remember the 90 was that that was the year that MUK you and Oklahoma all were number one at one point and then they were all done by the first weekend. That's correct They all lost Mizzou lost your first round one Northern Iowa and then Kansas Kansas was a two seed and lost to UCLA and Oklahoma was a one seed lost to Caroline on a last second shot Drag disappointing. No, that's what my college life was Kyle disappointment disappointment It was a fun year though because when I was in school Oklahoma beat I think the order was number one Missouri and then two days later or three days later Kansas was number one and beat them so they beat the number one team The consecutive games. Yeah, and then became number one and finished the year number one But then lost Caroline if I remember it was correct on Missouri and Kansas. Missouri was not the number one team

03Either time they played Kansas, but both times they beat him and became number one Yeah, that was a great big they passed it around and then at the end of the in Oklahoma with Jackie Jones I think Jackie Jones was on the team and that was skater Henry and all that stuff they could but they could score They could put the biscuit in the basket and I think both Kansas I think both Kansas And Oklahoma beat you and I'll be that year Yeah, I know Oklahoma beat you and I'll be that year was early in the year and I think Kansas might have beat him too Missouri had won the previous year at ill at you and I'll be You know he was fun. Yeah, it was a good time. Good times. That was fun. Great oldies You know I was but seniors on those teams But juniors been in school for a while on those teams. It was a good time. Well this year it's just been And we've had some good freshmen, but you know as much as the focus was on uh Darren Peterson and and debonsa and even to greek There've been dudes playing All all the way down the list is freshmen burries has been amazing. Yeah, there's a good crime this year

06Kingston Flummings for we're gonna see two great ones tomorrow night as Keaton Woggler and takes on Kingston Flummings. There's a two guys. I mean we'll hear from Kelvin Samson about how You know rare it is for someone A freshman to come in and take over What has generally been a veteran latent team the entire time he's been there And uh just how he kind of just took over the job and and Woggler's been amazing So it did the number of freshmen Really impactful freshmen this year has been a longer list I think that I can remember recently Vegas lost back-to-back games to Kansas and Oklahoma They lost in the in IT preseason in IT 9177 in New York to Kansas and then they had Long stretch off November 22nd to December 9th because that's what you would do you go to class You know over Thanksgiving break and then in December 9th that was a Saturday I've never been in at that game and 89-81 Oklahoma one of the few times Lloyd Noble Center was rocking

08And then they did not lose for a bit lust new mexico state by two And then they lost to ls u. How about that midseason game You know that was that that was that crazy start to the year In in 90 where Kansas went went out there and just All these sort of Hammer and good teams run off the bat 1990 was a great year in the big 12 big big it excuse me it just didn't end well They beat the beats number two Louisiana state then went to Madison Square Garden and beat The ranked st. John's team and then knocked off on the number one Villanova team so yeah Came in unranked and then in very quick succession in a span of six games They beat the number one number two at number 25 teams all the way from Allen Field House That kind of launched them to what would be a pretty amazing year in a one seed Yeah, they used to they didn't have big Monday they were two seed Monday back they didn't have big Monday back in the back in the year So it was not in Sunday

09February 20th afternoon game Missouri Oklahoma How about this on the total Kyle you ready 107 90 regulation the only 197 points scored in the game and then Kansas came to town on the Tuesday 178 178 Points in there. So that's not that's not what Missouri and Oklahoma did would do later. No later The Billy Tubbs and Calvin Samson saw the game differently and then Oklahoma finished the year they saw a lot of things 190 107 90 what would these scores is so much fun back in the day. It was good time so much fun And there weren't there weren't a million three point shots because the shot had only been Recently introduced to 87 was the first year that they use it in the final four earlier that year You ready you ready Kyle? What would be a lot of points scored in the game between Loyola and Oklahoma 160 136 to 121 regulation

10That was low. That was the 90 that was Loyola 90. Yeah 88 90 team. Yeah. Yeah, that was the team at scordan that What do they call that offense like that team There was a particular little wasn't the fun gun. I don't think but they they just they just played Loyola every year How about this one you want a good one? This was the next year. This was at Lloyd Noble Center 172 to 112 regulation basketball I think that's they They did start suits of threes they had a kid mark prices little brother brunt price played for Oklahoma score had 133s in that game I think Those are fun times Fun times we don't have those times anymore. No, yeah, no, no, no, but we have those times anymore. That's boring It's all boring. No fun No fun at all I will tell I'm gonna tell a story that's embarrassing for me. I probably shouldn't tell it on the air I want to go ahead and tell this is Mike Bodaker of being barest for this story.

11So saturday night and a few people can project or the disappointment in someone. Yes, can communicate scorn more efficiently and deadly than Mike Bodaker. Yeah. So we're a saturday night. There's a little bit of water coming out of a toilet on the bottom in my house. And I'm like, I know what this is. It's like I got a bad wax ring, bad seal, you know, it's not gushing out. You flush the toilet. The little water comes out. So I'm like, I shut the water off. I said, I'm going to deal with that on Sunday. And you get on YouTube University, right? It's similar. I've helped my dad change a toilet before. It's not that hard. It's you turn the water off, you take the thing off, you get all the water out of it, you unscrew two bolts, you pick it up, you change the wax ring, you secure it down, maybe shim it up, make it, make it level. And so I'm, I took the toilet off and I went to Lowe's, I got a new wax ring with some

16new bolts on it and I'm going to secure this baby down and get it all done. So while I'm doing this, I'd stuck a towel down in the hole because you don't want the smell coming up. So anyways, I come back, I got the wax ring, I take it off, I take the other one off, it's gross, I got my latex gloves on so I'm not grossing everything and I put the wax ring down that's, and you know what, I watch this in the video, this guy, he puts bolts down and it secures it really tight and then he puts the toilet on with the wax ring, then he puts some more bolts down the washer, I'm going to do that. So I'm like, all right, so I'm using some of the washer from the previous thing and it's got a little wax on it, whatever. And at this point, I'd take in the towel out of the drain of the hole because I'd already put the ring on and I took it off back off and so I'm using this wrench and I'm tight and this thing up, slipped out of my hand. Where's the wrench go? Oh boy. He went down, down the hole.

17So strong. I'm like, god dang, all right, so you probably used a different set of words. You know, the hole from the toilet doesn't go straight down, it curves because it's going to go off somewhere. And I, I'll cut on my hand, I tried to reach in, it's right there. I didn't hear it go all the way down to nothing and I, I'm like, I'm so mad right now and I'm like, here's the deal, this is the universe telling me, this is not a job for you. Yeah. So I get a hanger and I kind of reach, I don't feel it jingling or anything and this is not an emergency because we live in a palatial home, we have other toilets, but this is the toilet that gets used a lot because it's on the main level. We spend a lot of time on the main level, whatever we can do without this toilet. We've had an issue with this toilet before, which took that toilet out of commission for like a month because there was something under under the drain and that washing machine,

20all the water went down through it and came out the top, it was a mess, insurance claim the whole nine yards. All right. I'm done. I get online and I'm like, just, I want to find just a local, close lease summit plumber or whatever. So I call one and the lady, it's Sunday morning, it's like 9.30 a morning. Like this is an emergency. I said that. What, what is an emergency on a Sunday? Well, it's $200 extra dollars. That's not an emergency. Get me on the schedule and so then eventually long story, whatever, got a guy over there today. He had a camera and, you know, man, but it was not as it, this took, he's going to have a good story for the guys back in shop because it was not, it, we saw it on the, the, the, the pipe came out and it went out probably two feet before it turned back down and joined with some other pipes. So we got the camera down and you could see it. You could see the little wrench. It's right there, but it's on the edge. So then we don't know what happens in the wall. This goes down over and then eventually there's a drain clean out in, in my basement.

23So we went and took that, that cap off and then put some stuff there in case this thing fell all the way down. It would stop and not, you know, go into the floor. So it probably took 15, 20 minutes. He was with the camera, a couple of different apparatus to try to get the thing and then finally we got that satisfying little clink, the magnet, hit the wrench, pulled it out. Ha, le Lou, yeah, got the toilet done. So the tip for you, if you're going to change the toilet, keep that rag stuffed in the hole because you don't want to drop something down there and make it more expensive than it was going to be for me. I think I'm still grown up enough where I could change a toilet. I think so. You think maybe. But I was in a mental state that I did not want to deal with after I dropped this thing and I felt a lot better having a professional come out and deal with it.

24How much did this mistake cost you? Well, it cost me hundreds of dollars, but sweet. It is what it is. It can't be anything other than what it is. No, I mean, it's just like, I was like, oh my gosh. So I was very disappointed myself. My dad was very nice to me, but I think he was probably a little disappointed too. He said, you know, you're supposed to put a rag in there. I said, I had the rag in there. And then I took the rag out because I was, had gotten things out of order and I kind of messed it up. You just shook his head and gave it a sand. No, I don't know if the plumber was being nice. He said he has dropped, well, he said he dropped something down there once and then he no longer does that anymore. Well, he's got the magnet thing. Well, he's got the magnet. You can get it. Now, the weird part was like, you know, it just dropped just right so it hit and kind of shot down because there's a, there's a, you know, a 90 degree turn right there. But it didn't shoot far enough down where it was going to be a major problem. And listen, the, the wrench was not a very big wrench.

25It probably could have been in there forever and not caused a major problem. But if that's something that things could catch up on and do that, then you don't want the trouble. So be careful out there when you're trying to do these things. And be, not just be careful, but be smart smarter than I was. Don't be a dummy. Don't be a dummy. It was on the phone. She's all I've heard way worse. I'm sure she has. Way worse. I'll be very excited to go home and go to the bathroom in there tonight because that, well, here's the deal. I was getting, getting my steps over like, you know, we're sitting there watching TV or something. You got to go to the bathroom. You got to go downstairs or upstairs. It's probably better for me. Yeah. You know, get some steps in. Yeah. And not just steps, flights. Yeah. You're going up or down to get in there. Well, cardio. Yeah. Good stuff. Be careful out there. And, you know, so then now, if you need a wax ring, let me know because they had, you know, warranty purposes. You got to use their own wax ring when the, when the plumber comes over.

26The universal shape. Yeah, pretty much universal shape, but, um, but free to good home. Yeah, free to good home. Let me know if you need a wax ring. I can hook you up. Phone line's open. He's on the, he's tied on the street corner. Hey. Hey, who needs a wax ring? Need a wax ring. Lightly used because I didn't set it down once tonight. It's certainly used wax ring. Yeah. 10 bucks. It'll still seal you up. Pretty good. They're cheap. But so I got a wax ring. Anyone wants one? Like a living in the apartment. We're going to talk to David Leskey about the, uh, the royals coming up in the five o'clock hour. I don't see anything fresh. New. The bill self rumors were hot and heavy this morning, pretty much quelled them not to say he's definitely coming back. Shut down. At least the, uh, nothing real to see here, my mind yet. We made the mind up yet, but that's something we will be watching. Um, I just see this, this thing here, apparently the United States men's national soccer team had some royals there.

26With them. They're getting, they're doing some training like no, our royals, like, like, yeah, like, uh, clean or, or Bobby with now, like, like Bobby with Carter, Jensen just said, thank you to everyone for having us out there. Salvi getting a jersey from them. They got those red and white striped jerseys who else I can see. Do you think he said, thank you, my friend? Yeah, he probably did or he said he got a, if you get, if you get hurt, you get a crong on it. If there's Bobby getting a jersey, yeah, they're on Carter, Jensen. That's Christian Pulasik helping him out there because I think they trained in Atlanta. I think maybe that's where the, the US men's national team might be there just out there early. Yeah. For Friday. Salvi says he'll wear it for opening day, but, you know, he's venous away, then as we found out, you see the Salvi's big tattoo. He got, oh, he got his thigh, the WBC champion, he's a monster. That's fantastic. I'm going to do monster deal. All right, we're a, we're going to do for a break. We'll take a break, we'll come back. We got David Leskey coming up in a five o'clock hour. Welcome back into the program. Kyle, do we have time to play a six minute bite? No, I know we don't. I'm looking at the time you wrote down. We're good.

27We'll place some sound and get to tell you what you need to know after the top of the hour. We'll be joined by David Leskey from inside the crown. Talk about the Royals. Their 26 man roster has been released opening day for them. We have to wait all this time. There weren't the last teams to open. I know. The Yankees and Giants tonight bet the overs, Fat Jack says, and then almost everyone else plays tomorrow and we've got to wait all the way to Friday to maybe watch the Royals. No, we're going to watch the Royals. I'll watch the Royals. I know what's going to work at my house. Kyle, you set to watch the Royals? Yeah, you got it all worked out. I'll be good. Curtis, you don't know. Curtis doesn't know. But it will be. It'll be done. Figured out quickly. It'll be figured out. Post haste. Yes. All right. We're going to tell you what you need to know coming up next. Curtis is going to have a trivia question that I know the answer to because you already told me you haven't told me this one yet. I'll get that. I don't think no. This is a new one. I'll get this one right. Maybe. You might. I might not. It's hard to tell.

28Probably will. Need to know coming up next year on the program. One hour to go. All right. Before Florida, what was the last defending champion to be a number one seed and not make it to the sweet 16 brought to you by La Fena, Delicateson.
