GST काउंसिल की सिफारिशें मानने को बाध्य नहीं हैं सरकारें-सुप्रीम कोर्ट

सुप्रीम कोर्ट Supreme Court ने गुरुवार को Goods & Services Tax पर एक अहम फैसला सुनाया है। कोर्ट ने कहा है कि GST Council की सिफारिशें मानना केंद्र और राज्यों के लिए बाध्यकारी नहीं हैं। इसका मतलब है कि GST काउंसिल जो भी सिफारिशें देता हैं, उन्हें लागू करने के लिए केंद्र और राज्य सरकार बाध्य नहीं होंगे बल्कि ये सिफारिशें सलाह या परामर्श के तौर पर देखी जानी चाहिए। शीर्ष अदालत ने यह भी कहा कि संसद Parliament और राज्य विधानसभाओं State Assemblies के पास GST पर कानून बनाने का समान अधिकार है।
