During a routine day at the Temple Mount Sifting Project in Jerusalem, Moriah Cohen made a discovery that left her speechless — a 1-inch clay seal, inscribed in ancient Assyrian cuneiform, dating back to the First Temple period. 

 

Until now, evidence for the tensions between Israel and Assyria as detailed in the Bible have only been found on the Assyrian side — inscriptions found in modern-day Turkey or Iraq. But this is the first time that proof has been uncovered inside Israel itself, right next to the Temple Mount. This discovery not only verifies what Scripture has told us for thousands of years, but it also reminds us that God's Word stands the test of time, and His promises to Israel are everlasting.
