About this episode
Host Gary Williams broke down the AT&T Pebble Beach win by Rory McIlroy and what that means for the PGA TOUR as well as some of his other golf thoughts from the weekend. We were joined by Vanderbilt men's golf standout, and NCAA individual champion, Gordon Sargent and Normal Sport's Kyle Porter.
Porter talked about McIlroy trying to approach the game more like Scottie Scheffler and being less impulsive on the course. He also talked about whether Scheffler's greatness alone will drive audience.
Sargent talked about why he came back to Vanderbilt despite his ability to go straight to the PGA TOUR based on his PGA TOUR U standing. He wants to learn how to be a professional before making that jump. He also loves being around and competing with his teammates as he feels that helps improve his game.
