Golden State Warriors Eyeing Florida's Todd Golden

If Steve Kerr walks after his contract ends this coming season, Golden sits near the top of their list. He's coming off four strong years at Florida where he snagged a national title in 2025 and SEC Tournament crowned that same year and the regular season title in 2026 with a record of 103 wins and 41 losses. Word is, the Warriors owners, the LeCope family, go way back with Golden from his days coaching the San Francisco Don's where he won a national title and shared some munches. Kerr just wrapped his 12th season there and admitted these gigs have expiration dates even as he still loves coaching. Florida's athletic director Scott Strickland is pushing hard for a third straight contract extension, brushing off interest from big dogs like North Carolina, Kansas and Arizona.
