God’s Unusual Fig Arrangement

The reciprocal altruism between the fig wasp and the fig tree presents a serious challenge to evolutionary theory because neither species can reproduce without the other. The reproductive flowers are completely enclosed inside the fig, meaning wind cannot pollinate them; instead, the fig wasp is specifically programmed to transfer the pollen during its brief life cycle. This total mutual dependency indicates that both organisms were created simultaneously for this specific relationship.
