This is one poem only. No analysis, no noise, just a little space to listen. Today's poem is by Liberty Brook. God is a lesbian. I met her in the bathroom of a gay bar. She was drunk. Offered me her lip gloss, but it came with a kiss. A baby blue mini skirt and black boots. Butterfly tattoo on her wrist. She tasted light Coca-Cola and communion. Holy and homosexual. Held together by a headstrong desire to dance. We planned a life together. Baby names, backup careers. And barely awake. She hugged my shoulders and told me she loved me. Her halo of dark curls bounced as she left. I prayed for her name from across the room. She blew me a kiss and mouth. God.
