Go the Distance - A Nighttime Prayer

About this episode

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.  -- 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (NKJV).

Heavenly Father, I just ask that You would help me to be be more disciplined in my faith. I pray that you will help me to make the right choices, not ones that are convenient and comfortable, but ones that are ordained by you. I ask that you would guide me to constantly seek peace, joy, and contentment in my decisions and steer me away from greed, envy, gossip, and anything else that might lead me astray. I am forever grateful for your loving compassion for me even when I don't deserve it. I am quite thankful for your loving guidance. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
