About this episode
Episode 57 with Gloria Joy Sherrod
"People look at me and think, 'You’re so calm.' And I’m like, 'It’s chaos in here.'"
Gloria is a licensed professional counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to her counseling work, she also provides ADHD coaching services.
Gloria is passionate about advocating for equity in education, access to care, and ending mental health stigma.
We talk all about how to know whether it’s ADHD or something else entirely, as well as some of the stigmas around stimulant medications, and we also discuss her book, “Adulting with ADHD,” and her new documentary of the same name, which releases this week and tells the real-life stories of 5 adults navigating life with ADHD. You can find out more about that at Adhddocumentary.com.
