Long look drive to state route, SR-89A Project E-News. Businesses and residents are reminded to call the project hotline at 928-582-2727 to speak to a project team member with any questions or concerns. The town of Prescott Valley and their contractor, Asphalt Paving and Supply, are working on construction of the Glassford Hill Road widening. Long look drive to SR-89A Project, which is anticipated to be completed in late November 2026. Improvements being designed include the addition of a northbound and southbound lane, complete with new curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drainage improvements and a paved shoulder on Glassford Hill Road between Long look drive and SR-89A. These improvements are part of the larger Glassford Hill Road safety and capacity improvements project the town is undertaking. The project is funded through a state legislature
appropriation which was secured with the assistance of E-Plan, formerly known as the Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization, as part of a statewide transportation capital project package. Glassford Hill Road is strategically positioned as a main arterial road that provides connectivity between two state routes, SR-69 and SR-89A, with limited traffic flow and pedestrian slash bicyclistic accessibility. This project is being designed to improve the traffic flow and roadway accessibility for all users. Construction continues along Glassford Hill Road. Crews will continue the following work along Glassford Hill Road, between Bear Path and Santa Fe Loop Road. Roadway excavation, grading operations and subgrade preparation. Curb, gutter and sidewalk placement, drainage structure and culvert installation, retaining wall construction, installation and testing of a new effluent water main. Please be aware of the following impacts. Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10, 7am to 7pm.
One lane of traffic in each direction of Glassford Hill Road will always remain open throughout construction. Businesses, schools and residential communities will remain fully accessible throughout the project. Motorists can expect travel delays, construction equipment in the roadway and traffic control devices. Periodic sidewalk and pedestrian closures may be necessary. Please follow the marked signage, drive safely throughout the project corridor and consider using an alternative route if possible. Catch up with more local news stories on signalsaz.com.
