Giving your children the Gift of Responsibility

About this episode

Research tells us that children that do chores have more confidence.  This is a significant finding and one that is worth exploring and talking about.  In a world where depression, anxiety and the suicide rate is ever climbing it is so important to instill a sense of value and self-worth in our children at a very young age.  We want to help them understand that God gave them specific gifts that should be used to better the family unit and one the world they live in.  That the gift he gave them is unique to them and they play a vital role in our family unit. One way we can easily do this is by giving them chores and having them do the things they can do safely on their own. It is so tempting to just do it for them when it will take an extra 20 minutes for them to do it, but when we are always doing it for them, we create children that first think that everything should be done for them and second don't have a sense of responsibility.  In this podcast I talk about practical ways to give them responsibility, confidence and a sense of self-worth.  So, let's dive into this week's episode!
