About this episode
I grew up going on girls trips with my mom and absolutely loved that time together. From going back to Missouri to visit my grandparents, side adventures to Colorado to see old friends, quick overnighters in our home state, and fly-away journeys to women’s conferences…we absolutely loved our memories made together.
One year, my sister, mom and I had a purpose-filled trip to go help some family friends who were recently diagnosed with an incurable illness. Unfortunately, at last minute they had to cancel our coming and we soon found ourself with airline credit awaiting to expire. On the advice of my brother to go somewhere we’d never invest in going ourselves (we are all momma’s and usually invest our extra pennies toward our families) we decided to randomly pick an extreme destination…Beverly Hills, California.
We enjoyed our spontaneous trip so much that we decided from then on we would have an Annual Girls’ Trip. Sadly, after three years of our trips, our mother passed away so we ventured out on the fourth year Girls’ Trip in her honor. We realized how much we treasure these times together and have committed to continue such Annual tradition in honor of my mom. Not wanting to break the bank, yet desiring to personally splurge on fabulous weekends together, my sister (Christy) and I would like to share our adventures with you in hopes that as result they may help you in your Girl Trip planning.
