And now here's your host, Gina Gardner. Hello there, and a huge welcome to today's episode of Gina Gardner and Friends. I'm delighted to invite Louisa Havers back onto the show. She is a success advisor to entrepreneurs, CEOs, and business leaders, and she's been working with me, or rather, I've been working with her for a number of years. And we're going to be talking about internal ceilings and how they affect your money and your business. And I just want to say, if you're not an entrepreneur, a business leader, or a CEO, this is just as relevant for you. People are struggling financially at the moment, but are you aware that your internal ceiling could be at the heart of the issue? Louisa, a huge welcome, thank you very much for joining me today. Thank you for having me, Gina. I'm so excited for our conversation, and hello everybody, I'm delighted to be here. So for those who perhaps haven't caught you on the show before, because you are a repeat

guess, just give people a potted history so they get a sense of your background. Oh, thank you. Do you know what? I was reflecting on this earlier, and I was like, it's been nearly, this would be the 10th year. Yes, since I left my corporate job, I cannot believe it was 10 years ago that I finally took the leap. So my background is in psychology, and I then went and worked in social services for over 13 years, and I did love it, but it was a corporate hamster wheel. And whilst I was doing that job, and it was a very high profile portfolio that I had over my 10 year there, the skills I developed were fantastic for running my own business as an entrepreneur, because they would literally throw anything at you and go, you've got to go and sort this issue out, and that was your brief off you go to make it happen, as I'm sure anyone else who's got a background in the public sector is probably nodding along and going, yeah, that sounds about right.

And so what happened during that my time there, I realised I was working incredibly hard for no pay rises, et cetera. So there was a lot of restructures that would go on during my time there, and there wouldn't be any more money at the end of it, but there would be plenty more work, which was, you know, marvellous, always more, more, more work, and I'm a single parent, so at that time it was very challenging, because I wasn't seeing my sons as much as I wanted to. And it was a juggling act, you know, doing sort of dual parenting on my own. And I really started to crave wanting to have, you know, what I call wanting to claim more of life, you know, there's more to life than working all the time. And I loved coaching people in the workplace, so that was really pulling my heart, and I'd seen my father pass away and not experience the retirement that he thought he was going to have. But everything off to retirement, he's going to have this wonderful retirement, and instead

he had ill health retirement. And that really kind of got to the core of my heart, as I realised I was like, hmm, look what you're doing here, Louisa, you're like replicating exactly what your father did, working too hard, you know, not having the life that you desire, not seeing the family when you want to see them, et cetera, and things feeling like a struggle in a real challenge. So I pulled my big girl pants on and decided to leave. And here we are 10 years later, running my company, having left the UK, I'm now an expat, living an expat life globally, I would say, because I move around, because I'm exploring different countries, which is so fun, I have to say, I highly recommend it, particularly when it is very chilly in the UK right now, and I'm enjoying a barmy 27 degrees in Thailand. Brilliant. Thanks very much. Explain for our listeners, what do you mean by an internal ceiling, and you're not talking

about a ceiling with spotlights or a ceiling, you know, full ceiling, you know, what do you mean by internal ceiling? This is such a good question, so internal ceiling is your, your, your, the ceiling of your mind, but also of your body, because so often people will think, oh, yes, it's, you know, subconscious beliefs, I think there's enough information out there that we have at our fingertips with the incredible internet that we have access to right now, but a lot of people may have heard about mindset being an important thing, and so have a positive mindset and positive thinking that the bit about it being a ceiling is your previous experiences in childhood, and the next layer is, of course, previous experiences in business, etc, all get stored, not only in your mind and in your subconscious, but your body remembers, and get stored in your, in the nervous system and, and in your body. So they're both ceilings, that's the internal internal ceiling.

Does that make sense? And why is it so important to be aware of your internal ceiling, and what's the impact that that internal ceiling has, and we're talking about money, but abundance, a life that you want? Why is it so important? You know, it's so important because we can talk ourselves out of things that we really want to do, and that that is not because it means that we shouldn't be doing it, it's because of the, the thoughts, the beliefs, the emotions that we're holding internally that the subconscious is then thinking that, that new way forward, that perhaps expanded opportunity, that something's going to take you away from your current identity. The nervous system, the body, the mind is going to kick into gear and go, whoa, this is not in line with our programming. I have a job to deliver 100% success rate on my programming. That's not in it. And so it's going to do everything it can to stop you going in that direction, unless, so things are going to be harder and more of a struggle, unless you deal with the internal

programming, if that makes sense. And just any parent out there may, may, may recognize this and just being reminded of and I hope my son won't mind me saying this, my son, I was talking to my son earlier this, this week and talking about getting a dream that he could put on the shelf as he's been teaching at English in, in Thailand, his passion is football. And I was talking to him about take that dream off the shelf and, you know, you're really good at football and he was like, I really want to get back into football. I want to go, you know, play professionally and to make it happen. I'm like, do it. You've got to make it happen. And in that moment, he was like, whoa, this resistance is like unbelievable. I was like, what tell me, tell me what you're hearing in your head. And he was like, you can't do it. It's too late. You know, all the kind of, and I'm sure everyone can recognize whenever you've gone for something, you started to make that decision to do something, those thoughts kick in. You know, that's the ceiling kicking in. I said, it's because your identity isn't that you're a professional footballer yet.

And so you're subconscious is going to give you everything to stop you going. And he was like, damn, that's so annoying. But the great thing is is when you get the programming right, then you can hold that new level of identity and embody it and that carries you forward. So what was the ceiling can become your new kind of floor, if you like, so that you can then grow and continue to grow without taking yourself down the rabbit hole and this internal worry that can come in. And it impacts your decision making as a huge impact, you know, in terms of if you think about, you know, businesses hiring new team members, you know, your internal ceiling can stop you hiring the right person. It can stop you making decisions about expanding the team, etc. And so it has a huge impact on business and, of course, your money in terms of, you know, if you haven't got your own business, you're still managing your money and the founder of your wealth and what you're creating there and your consciousness or your programming,

your psychological programming in terms of how you see yourself is going to have a direct impact on the decisions that you make and that is changes your trajectory of life in what's possible if you don't expand your ceiling. One of the things that I've recognised over time is how often we have really negative messages and feelings, beliefs about money that have been installed very early on that turn out to be incredibly unhelpful when we're at aunts, you know, the sort of things that parents say, well, I know you've got much more experience in this, I mean, what are the common beliefs that get installed when we're young that actually have an impact on our internal ceiling? You know, I think one of the biggest ones I've seen and it's probably a sort of, you could categorise it as a middle class kind of programming is you have to work hard to have success and it's not worth it unless you work really hard to get there now, to explain

that a little bit, you may have heard parents say, some, any one of these money doesn't grow on trees, what's the essence of that, you know, that is, you've got to work hard for it. Yes. Or you hear something like, maybe you hear as a child, your parents talking about someone's success and they might say, you know, what she's had a really hard time, she really deserves this success. So it's kind of like, oh, there's struggle and there's strife, so therefore they deserve it. And so this can subconsciously, we can then come up with scenarios at stories and beliefs that, well, to deserve it, to deserve this success, I'm therefore going to have to work really, really hard to create it. So that makes sense. It does. And I think, you know, if you add to that, you know, the old saying that you know, money is the, the found of all evil, you know, money is imbued with a personality, if you like, rather than thinking it's what people do with money that is good, neutral or evil, that

the person who has money is seen as something not quite nice. And so as their approaching success, instead of embracing it and enjoying it, even if it's been done in the most loving and careful way, there is for some people that sense of it's not quite clean. No, exactly, because you've got these phrases like, oh, they're filthy rich. That's one of my mum used to say, oh, he's filthy rich. And I was like, that is such an interesting phrase, because it's not a compliment. No. That word, filthy, it's like, it's dirty, and it's like, why would anyone describe someone in that way, or their filthy rich to explain their level of wealth? I believe, and I may be wrong, but I'm interested in your thoughts, that when people are haven't money, and I was brought up in a very loving family, but we had no money, you know, people at school would have the latest whatever, but we didn't.

We had no car, we didn't go on a holiday. We always had plenty to eat, and my mum was a court dressmaker, so we were always dressed well, not necessarily in the up-to-date fashions that we wanted, but money was tight. And I think one of the things that strikes me looking back at that is that not that my parents talked about filthy rich, but in those contexts, that people who have little want to feel better about having little, and so people who are successful, people who are moneyed are seen as something less wholesome, because if they were like me, they'd have no money. If I want to be like them, then I've got to be something different, so it made it feel more comfortable and more natural by a position when we're going to be talking, you know, as we go through this programme, that abundance is our natural place when we choose to accept that.

Do you think people do it in order to make themselves feel better? I think we naturally are wanting to stay in our communities and the tribes and the families that we've grown up with from a survival perspective, and so anything that gives us potential to be seen as different to the people that we've grown up with is a threat to the nervous system, even if the adult conscious mind is like that, it's ridiculous, it doesn't matter because your subconscious has got a different narrative going on, and that will win over what your conscious mind is saying. And as you know, I love muscle testing, because it helps you to understand what is happening at that subconscious level you can identify very, very quickly, and so often the narrative is very different to what we're consciously saying, because we're very good at selling ourselves in stories to make ourselves feel better about why this, that, or the other, has or hasn't happened, and meanwhile our subconscious is delivering with a 100% success rate,

the programming that we're holding, and so those experiences that we have as children are so key, and so often I will, you know, in conversation with clients, you know, they may say a phrase to me, and I'm like, who is that talking, you know, is that you, and then it will be like, oh my god, it's my mother, oh goodness, it's my father, you know, you can catch yourself realising, or repeating beliefs that aren't really yours, but it's the programming that that we're holding. And the other aspect just to kind of highlight this is that the bit that you were talking about is around, we want to be part of our stay part of our communities, and when I'm working with clients so often, as they are growing and expanding and their incomes coming in, the nervousness around feeling alone, will all the people in their old communities, you know, think of them, and this is where whatever the narrative is from childhood and other experiences that you've had along the way,

start to kind of come out and you realise you've been holding these worries that you're going to be judged for being filthy rich, you know, or for being not a good person in a way, wherever wealth was seen as it being something that wasn't good, then that is going to, that needs to come out of the programming so that you can expand your wealth. Brilliant, we're going to go for a short break. I want to, just before we leave this part of the conversation, to explore with you, you know, the phenomena, which is people who win huge amounts of money, and what happens to them within a relatively, or many of them within a relatively short time need to put a teeth in this morning, so don't go away, we'll be back in just a moment. Philip Eiffish from a dish, Big Mac down a cold assack, and even under a drying rack, Veggie Jalucks in power cuts, cheese bites, erratic nights,

girkin floating, rags through cat flaps, nugs on rugs, or a chef walks to the river, because now we deliver. Welcome back. The reason we're talking about the conditioning that people have around particularly money, but it could be about any aspect of their lives, and why people want to feel comfortable, want to feel as if they belong, and that often is in contrast and in a contradiction in terms of I want to feel affluent, I want to feel abundant, and yet I don't feel comfortable at some level, at my success, will I still fit in. Now there is a phenomena that people win vast amounts of money through lotteries or things like that, that a significant proportion of those within five years found that they're back to square one, that that money

has gone. What's going on there? You know, I'm so grateful you bought that forward because everybody recognizes that, as you hear the stories in the news, etc, and there you have the internal ceiling, pulling you right back to your programming and your identity, and we all have within now, I was talking about the ceiling of our mind and our bodies, so you can think of these as set points, set points in relation to your psychological pathways that you're rewiring, you're wiring, I should say, in relation to psychology physiologically, so how your body is allowing this to happen, I talk about energies, you know, a lot of times as well, to energetically as well. In relation to, and it's all part of how your identity and how you see yourself, and ultimately, it's not just, you can't just go, oh, I'm now a multi-millionaire because I've won on the lottery, you know, multi-million pounds, and think that

you believe that you're telling yourself the story of that, without, if you haven't done the inner work to change those neural pathways psychologically, to help the body expand physiologically, so the nervous system isn't kicking in going, oh my word, I've got so much money around this, I'm so excited, I'm going to have to pop potato it all out of my hands, and overspend, etc, etc, so that they aren't consciously thinking about thinking this, but the body and the mind is thinking this, is so I've got to bring this person back down to their set points, so that they're in alignment with who they be, with their programming, does that make sense, Sheena? I think so, I think as we expand this in terms of people recognizing their own situation, what's going on, they will see their own set points, and I think awareness in everything, unless you are aware, then you can't do anything about it, and one of the things that I hope to do through this program is to give people the opportunity to become, have a different awareness,

is that I'm them about what they do with it, but ultimately you can't take any, any defined action to either keep what you've got, because it's serving you, or to change it, unless you're aware of it, so how do you become aware of what your set point is? You know, we've talked about this in turn, or ceiling, but if it's a new concept to you, then that's all very well and good, but what do you do with it in all the change things? This is a brilliant question, one of my favorite ways, as I mentioned earlier, is muscle testing, so you can find out what is hidden in terms of the beliefs and emotions, and for anybody wondering what I'm talking about there, it's simply, and you can find lots on YouTube with people demonstrating this, I've got demonstrations on my own YouTube channel as well, I like to teach people the sway technique, which is where they're using their body like a dousing device, and you can ask yes or no questions, and the body will respond

to give you a yes or a no in relation to a question, and this is a great way to understand what beliefs you might be holding that you weren't aware of, and so the bit before that, because of course, you're going to be wanting to be in a place where you're like, hang on a second, I think my default set points are kicked in here, now what do I do, because I don't seem to be moving forward, I've just lost a chunk of money, and I'm feeling like I need to explore what is going on here, and so I invite people to think about, you know, your reality is reflecting back to you, your set points, so what are the experiences that you're having right now, have you had a sudden and win full of money, and are you going, this is interesting, it's all suddenly disappearing, hello, default set points kicking in, or it could be, you know, the money has come in, and suddenly you've got family drama going on, and so your happiness has kind of taken a tank, because maybe you're going through divorce, or you know, something's happened, again,

default set points kicking in, because you've sort of expanded in one area without doing the psychological and the physiological work to hold it, and I think that's the really key thing, when I'm working with people who have a lot of money, it's about holding it so you can expand more. For a moment, let's just talk about there are many people who are struggling financially, listening to this and thinking, you know, maybe that, you know, I had a reasonable quality of life, but with inflation and everything else that's going on, or I've lost my job, or those people who have never had a great deal of money, my belief is that their internal ceiling is just, if not more relevant, than for those who've got lots of money and want more. Yes, and the key thing, I think, within this aspect is, what is the narrative that you're hearing yourself say as to your current situation, if you're desiring to change your current situation? So just simply writing down so that you can literally see the thoughts out on a piece

of paper, for example, would be a great way to go, okay, this is the narrative that I'm hearing myself say. The reality I'm experiencing is giving me the feedback for this reality, but I invite everybody to think that your thoughts are creating your reality because you're taking action based off what you're believing, the thoughts that you're hearing yourself say. And that is the first step to go, okay, right, I've recognised these are the thoughts that I'm having, and now it's time to take some new beliefs for a spin. What if I start to change into different beliefs and to start to embody those so that I then make different decisions? And people who are very intuitive will take to this like a duck to water, people who are, and my heart is with you because I've been in stressful situations in relation to money myself as well, and it is so stressful for everybody is that if you're in a very stressful situation that you can sometimes feel like

you're disconnected from your body, so everything's happening in your head. And so it may feel harder to kind of come down into the body and to recognise how your body is responding to the stress that you are experiencing. And that can create more of a situation where our mind doesn't have as much creativity to come up with solutions and ideas to take you into a different direction. And so we make decisions from I would call it from a contracted place, I'm sure there's a better terminology of lack, I think. From a place of lack, yes, thank you. I mean, what strikes me is that, you know, I've worked as you know, I coach people, and it doesn't matter what their situation, if you believe it's impossible, it is a done deal, it is impossible, because you're going to make a very different set of decisions to I don't know quite how yet, but I am determined I will succeed and I will see

each failure as feedback in order to help me along my way. And I've done a lot of research around highly successful people, and that's the difference that makes the difference, they're not superhuman, they're not got, you know, an extra anything, it is their approach to life. So if you think you'll fail, it's absolutely certain, it will happen. If you think you'll succeed and you're prepared to take action, it will happen. It's the bid in the middle, and I think it's really interesting, because you've only got to be open to the possibility that I will succeed, and it shifts the dynamics. It really does start to look at things very differently, and your beliefs are always, I believe, the first things to look at. Yeah, you're absolutely right, and that is that is so key in relate, because I think that one of the things that we create with in terms of the thoughts that we're thinking of, Lisa, we are anchoring everything in, is the questions that we then ask ourselves,

because then that will either close us down or open us up. And as you know, I love asking great questions, and I remember when I was back in social services, and I was like, I have got to make some more money, because there's not enough month at the end of the money. And I knew I wanted my own business, at that stage, I was like, you know, how am I going to do this? How can I have, I was literally living in the question, as I call it, of how can I have my own business, how can I make more money? And I didn't know the answer at that point. And this is a beautiful technique, I'm doing everybody, is don't try and answer it. So if you want to make more money, and you don't know how, to really open it up, just live in the question, just every night is you're going to sleep, just go, how can I make more money? How can I, you know, how can I have my own business, or how can I make more money? Make it, you know, phrase it for your situation. And I was literally just kind of contemplating it, but not trying to answer it. And within six weeks,

so a business opportunity came in. And I was like, oh my god, this is exactly what I've been looking for. And it gave me the stepping stone out of social services. And then I set up, you know, my business that I have now. And so I think so often we can, you know, because of our internal ceilings, we're looking at what's available around us and trying to come up with solutions from our current mindset, whereas we need to go beyond that. So asking questions that you actually can't consciously answer is a great way to do it. So I invite people to play with that. We talk about our comfort circle, don't we? I'm in my comfort circle, which means actually you're in a bit of a prison, because you're thinking about things in exactly the same way, because that makes you feel safe and comfortable. What you're doing, I believe, when you are asking these open ended questions that take you away from your norm is you're putting a door and opening the lock,

whether you then use to step outside your prison entirely up to you. But if there is no door or the door is locked, then you can't move. Before we go to our next break, I just think it would be worth spending a little bit more time on this sway technique. And I know that I was pretty cynical when I first, you know, the body will tell me yes, the body will tell me no. But I think it would be really worth just explaining to people what they do, because the results are significant. And I've seen it now through the groups that I've, you know, with you working, working as an individual, but I've also asked people to do it. And it's pretty, I fail safe, I think. So do please explain it. So yes, the sway technique, it is phenomenal. And so how you do this, if anyone is listening at home, I'm going to guide you through very quickly how you do this. So we're going to just test it with something that you know to be true, and we'll do it with your name,

because you know your name, right? So what I would invite you to do is you're going to, sorry, I'm just going to interrupt you and say, if you are driving or operating dangerous usually, at least don't do it now, please wait until you're safe. However, the invitation is still open. Go for it. Thank you. That is really good point. So yes, do not do this if you're driving, but if you can stand somewhere, and if you're unable to stand, you can do this if you're able to to sit up. This is with the sway technique. There's other ways to do it if you're unable to sit up or to stand, but I'll just focus on the one for standing if that's okay. So if you're able to, if you stand up now, and if you've got high heels on, take those high heels off, and stand with your feet hit with the part, and then what you do is I want you to just to have your hands down by your side, and just to start to breathe calmly as if you're going to, you know, you're just getting ready to go to sleep, you know, so your breath is slow, so you're

breathing in for thought, breathing out for thought, and I invite you to close your eyes, and then I want you to say in your mind, or you can say it out loud, right, body, go forwards for a yes, body, go backwards for a no. So you're telling your your body what to do, and then I invite you to just say, my name is, and you say what your name is, so I would say my name is Louisa Habers, and then just take a moment to wait and just notice what you notice. It may take 30 seconds to kick in, it may happen very quickly, but just observe it, and notice if you can feel yourself very gently being pulled forwards, like a magnetic pull is pulling you forwards. It's the weirdest thing when you do it for the first time, I will never forget doing it for the first time, and I was like, what has just happened? So when you've got that, so we're creating your bass lines, you can know what it feels like. I want you to say something that you know that isn't true, so you could say something like, you know, my name is Donald Duck, you know, something that you know isn't true. And then again,

wait to just see what you notice, and likely within about 30 seconds or so, you may feel yourself just kind of very gently being pulled backwards. Some people feel it very, very strongly, people feel it very, very gently, and there's a number of things that if people are like, did that just happen? I'm not quite sure because you kind of come back into your head thinking what is going on is just to come back down into your body and the best way to do that, the simplest way to do it is to notice your lungs going in and out as you're breathing, because you can't be in your head when you're doing it, you have to come down and pay attention to your heart area and your lungs. So just breathing in for four, breathing out for four, notice your chest rising with your breath, and then just say the phrase again, and then just observe and notice, notice what you notice, and you can do this with a number of things that you know to be true, so and unfold, so like test it with your age, the road that you live in, the house that you live in, and the great way to do it with things that you know to be true is then you know what it feels like

without your brain going, when you start testing beliefs like, really? And then once you've got your baseline, then you can start to say things like, you know, I deserve to receive more money, and you may be surprised when you mustle test that, that you may go backwards and you'd be like, huh? Consciously, you're like, but I do deserve to receive more money, and this is where it's like, okay, hang on a second, so if there is a, we need to uncover why, you may be going backwards on, I deserved, you know, to receive more money to see what for emotion belief, there may be a trauma, you know, from early on in childhood, or, and when I'm saying trauma, Gina, it's like a trauma with a big tea or a little tea, because of course there is a continuum of trauma that any human has experienced along their lifetime, and so we need to find out what is behind why you went backwards. We're going to go for a short break now, I want to continue to explore this because I think for so many, well, for everybody, this is something that is incredibly important,

because it has implications or applications in so many different ways, so don't go away, we'll be back in just a moment. Brushwood, media network. Arrive with a perspective, and lean with a new one. Before the break we were talking about how you can determine with the sway test whether something is true for you or false for you, and I think that's really helpful, but I think many people perhaps haven't yet uncovered what are the hidden beliefs that are underpinning the problem, so you may have done a muscle test,

which demonstrate or sway test that demonstrates that there is a block you don't feel as if you deserve it. What are the simple steps that people can take to actually determine whether in their personal life or in their business, which beliefs are getting in the way? Are there common ones that are useful as a starting point? Oh, there's so many Gina, okay, so to keep this simple, let me give people sort of five that they could start to test on to see where they're at, because this is really key, so often people will just muscle test on and say one phrase and they're like, that's it, and not go any deeper, so I hope everyone remembers me saying, boys ask at least three to five questions when you're muscle testing in relation to the topic that you're testing, so you're starting to go deeper and you're getting a real clear picture around what is going on. So the first question was all the statement you could say is I deserve to receive more money,

and if there's a particular amount of money that you want to create in terms of let's say a monthly income, so it could be I'm just going to pick a number out of the air, so I'm the kind of person who receives 10k a month consistently, and then see if you get a yes or no on that, because that linked in with your identity, so I'm the kind of person who receives XYZ amount consistently, I am worthy of receiving this amount of money, I have to work really hard to receive this amount of money, and when I'm saying this amount of money, please insert the amount that you're playing with that you want to create, whether it's 1k, 2k, 10k, whatever, I know everyone's going to be doing different numbers, so it would be more precise to use it with the number that you're wanting to create and to move into, and so we have the other aspect, if you find after going backwards and

forwards quite a few times when you're muscle testing like this and you're getting yeses and you're getting nose, and then suddenly you don't move, then that can show you, so I call it an energy reversal, but I invite people to think of it as like your nervous system is a bit, is telling you that there's something still active in relation to what you've just tested, so for that you might stay still like a plan or start finding yourself going round and round in circles, and it's like what's going on when that happens, and so if you find that then you can ask how I got a hidden preventing me from receiving XYZ to comment on money, does that make sense? So there's 5 phrases if I've counted correctly, that people can just to get started to find out what may be areas that they need to focus in on to help them step into the identity of the person who has that next level of money coming in so that they can feel like they don't have to, you know, the struggle starts to ease and they can start to move in a different direction. I want to spend some time about the

amount of money that people choose, because that's an interesting one I think, is that we often will undersell ourselves, because we think well I can't ask for too much, that seems too big a jump, so I'm going to ask for a 1k a month, for example, when the reality is actually that it costs, let's say 2k a month, to actually live with their rent and their food and all of their bills and so on, that to me really is quite telling if there's a resistance to actually having an amount, which feels, I mean, not silly, but feels too much of a stretch. Hmm, and this is really key, like I've worked with some people before, where they've said, you know, oh, I've not got any income at the moment, but I want to move into a million a month, let's say, not a huge stretch. And of course, when they're starting to do that, and I've used that example deliberately,

because it's a massive one that unknowingly their subconscious has gone, don't be ridiculous, you can't do that. And so then they've created this huge kind of subconscious contraction. So I'd invite people, it's almost like you want to have like a stretch, but not one that's going to trigger everything to, exactly, closing down. And of course, you can restructure it again, so it's not like you can't ever, you know, give yourself a pay rise again. So I'd invite people, like, you know, to kind of go, increase it, but let's say you're earning, if we say like you've got a thousand dollars a month coming in, increase it by 10% or 20%, just so you can play with it to see how your mind and your body is responding as you're doing the muscle testing. And that won't trigger too much resistance, whereas if you were to go 5k a month, it may trigger too much resistance. Would it be sensible to actually muscle test? No, the amount of money that I should be aiming for is 1k, 10k, 20k, whatever that may be, an actual muscle test where your ceiling is, is it work that way?

You know what I've found? So one of the things I do teach in one of our programmes is that, but it's in the sense of, so if someone's saying, I want to bring in, let's say 20k, and I'm muscle testing it says yes, I'm aligned to the bringing in 20k, you know, so there's no resistance et cetera. I'm like, we need to muscle test the numbers below the 20k because it may be that your feeling on one level really confident and excited about this and actually on a different level on the subconscious is going, yeah, but we're not going to let that happen because I've got my default set point is at 10k. And so I always invite people, if you're wanting to stretch it and go up to 20, let's say 20k, is to then muscle test on each amount, 1k, 2k, 3k, have I got any resistance to allowing more than 1k in this month? Have I got any resistance to allowing more than 2k in this month? Have I got any resistance 9, 3k in this month? And to go up

the ladder to the to the amount, you can find out where those default set points are that are hiding so beautifully in your consciousness. Does that clarify? I think it does because it would be very easy to to almost kid yourself. The other thing that strikes me is that understanding your set point and putting a stretch in there, doing all of these things is a really great starting point. But I don't know about you, but very often when I'm particularly in the very early stages working with clients is that they can set their goals, they can set their work on being in a position where they are ready to receive. But there has to be some aligned action, particularly if you're talking about a business, that you're not going to hit the million mark in terms of your turnover, if you're currently at, let's say, 300 grand, there has to be something that shift,

something done differently in order to give yourself the opportunity. And I think that's the bit that often people forget. And I, you know, the secret, I think many people took from that, that, you know, I think Porsche in my in my driveway, and if I think it hard enough, then, you know, on Monday morning, I'm going to have a Porsche there. And it's the aligned action. It doesn't have to be hard work, but there doesn't need to be a shift in terms of how we operate, how we turn up. Oh, totally, you know, that you were talking about the Porsche in the driver. We need to call that the car dealer to, you know, arrange delivery of the of the of the of the Porsche, or to, you know, have you got any portions for sale? We need to take action. And, and so often I found that, you know, the universe as I refer to the reality that we're living in, will give us these nudges and these synchronicities. And that's it for us to take action on,

to be able to respond to that. Well, that's one of the things I am really good at is noticing what's coming into my field so that I can then take a follow the breadcrumb trails. And it's very fun when you're doing that. It's like, I'm not sure where this is going, but I know I'm being nudged in this direction. So I'm just noticing, you know, who's saying what to me, and then what action I can take in relation to that, because action is absolutely key. And I find that the more that I'm in that like a aligned action, I call it when it's in alignment, it's not feeling, I'm not feeling like, oh my god, I've got to do this because they were in that contraction state. I've like, you know, in alignment with taking action, then we, it's like the universe mirrors it back to us and we find things coming to us. And if that makes sense. And I think it would be just useful, you know, when you're talking about your field, you're talking about what you perceive through your senses and through your intuition around in your life. And I'm reminded of a program

by Darren Brown, where he asked people if they felt lucky or not. And the guy who considers himself the most unlucky person in the world did not see what was to start with a little sign about the size of a business card saying, phone this number, we've got something good for you. In the end, it had to be a huge pan-technicon parked outside his butcher shop with letters three foot high before he even noticed it. And I think part of this is opening up our eyes to be aware of what's going on. We've got a short break. We'll carry on the conversation when we come back after the break. Don't go away. I'm your overly competitive brother. Check, psych. And I'm about to steal this game from you just like I stole Kelly Carter in high school, and now you're ready to settle a score. Game over. And if you don't have the right home insurance coverage, well you can end up paying for all this

yourself. So get all-state and be better protected from mayhem. Yeah, like me. Thanks, bro. Take a lap, rookie. Real mature. Welcome back. Before the break, I was talking about this poor butcher who saw himself as unlucky, but actually was completely oblivious to what was going on around him. And I think, you know, in terms of the internal ceiling that we have and shifting that beliefs are so important as we've talked about. Where do you think that that observing, you call the bread crumbs, the clues, the synchronicities, the things going on? How can people become more attuned to that? That's a great question. One of the things just before we went to the break and we were talking about the luck I was thinking, I wanted to share that people could also use the question to think, how am I so lucky? Because if we're thinking, if we're telling us, I'm so unlucky, blah, blah, blah, then you're going to get more of that. Telling yourself, I am so lucky, might feel like a massive

lie right now. But if you ask yourself, how am I so lucky? If it's like your future self saying, oh, I'm looking back, all these amazing things have happened. How am I so lucky? So you're in that like, oh, this feels really good. That is a great way to really open up those bread crumbs for you to pay attention to. And the thing that they, and this is the art of following the bread crumbs, is being able to recognize how the patterns are revealed to you. Like, where are people might call them coincidences? Like, so for example, one of my friends is coming to Thailand and they are going to an island called Co-Chang, which means Elephant Island. And I'm going to go and thinking of going and joining them. I'm saying I'm going and joining them because I got a synchronicity bread crumbs where I've never heard of this island before two days ago. And then this morning, I'm driving

over to the meditation center and the sky in the motorbike in front of me has got a t-shirt that says Co-Chang on it with an elephant. I was like, all right, I've got the message. I'm going. So that's what I mean is like, what are you noticing in your field that kind of is in alignment potentially with a train of thought that you've been having, an idea that you've been having so that you can get that validation of, yes, going that direction. Does that make sense? It does. And I think when we are stressed, I think particularly when the pressures of I'm feeling lack, I haven't got enough of whatever that might be, love, a loving relationship. You know, some people are in the situation where they've got enough food, for example. I think we close down and it's less and less easy for people to actually notice those opportunities. And I think, you know, part of moving forward is to give yourself

opportunity to just to breathe, to just take a moment to allow yourself off that incredible pattern of worry and anxiety, which just closes everything down. And it's easy for me to say, I'm not necessarily easy to do, but I think when you can just stop and spend a few minutes just breathing deeply and asking one of your questions, rather than how am I going to feed the family, how am I going to hide the bills? It has a very different impact in terms of how you feel, how resource you are, how much energy you've got, and how open you are to the opportunities that are there if only you could see them. And as you're sharing this, I'm really feeling guided to share. I think the key thing to help, if someone's in that state where their body is feeling really contracted because of the huge stress they're feeling in relation to money, or you know, all the other stresses that we may have, even if you can do this for like just

four minutes a day and there will be lots on YouTube that you can, you know, download is to search for heart coherence breathing pacer on YouTube. We're creating some for our channel as well. I use them privately and with my clients, but I don't have any on my channel at the moment, but we were going to get some in is to heart coherence breathing pacer. And just to spend four minutes following that breathing. So it's like you're breathing in for four, breathing out for four, but follow it for four minutes. Your body cannot be in anxiety when your heart is in a coherence state. You will create relief for your body in that moment. And that's really key to being able to expand that ceiling. So you can start to move out of the contraction, the ceiling to then be able to start to think creatively around and to attract other aspects to your opportunities to you. So heart coherence breathing as you come to the end of at least four minutes of that, then you can ask yourself like, how am I so lucky? Or how can I have more money? And to ask those expect those

questions when your heart is in that expanded state. And then don't think about it again, just go back your day. And if you can, because I know it's easier said than done when you're in a stressful state, just notice the opportunities notice, you know, who might be calling you? And or do you suddenly find, you know, a dollar on the on the floor? What are you starting to notice? And to really track the good stuff that's coming into into your life is going to help you to start to have some some relief. I think that's really important. And it's just as vital if you're a business leader, even if you or an entrepreneur, highly successful, but highly stressed, that breathing, it impacts on the vagus nerve, it brings down your blood pressure, it gives the heart an opportunity to explicitly expand. And I think, you know, anybody listening to this, it's a really good practice to get into whatever your circumstances, but ultimately you're giving yourself the optimum

opportunity on you to then engage with your internal ceiling, but also in terms of life and your connection with others, it makes a huge difference. I'm very conscious that we've not got a great deal more time on the show. And I really want people to know where they can find you or your courses or materials. So perhaps you'd share that with them. Oh, thank you, Gina. So I have a website, which is blue either havers dot com to l o u i s for sugar a h a v for victor e r s for sugar dot com. And on there, you can find the the programs that we have, I have got a membership on dream on school, which is called, which is a platform, which is called dream bigger because it's all about taking those dreams off the shelf and creating a new reality. And in there, I help people with really getting getting familiar with the sway and understanding the nuances of it so they

can have accuracy in understanding their subconscious and their their their ceilings. And we've got a free seven day trial so people can come in and test it out. And if they love it, they can stay and if they don't like it, then they can leave, you know, and they've just had an opportunity to to have a play and to test it out. And I've got a YouTube channel as well that we are, you know, focusing on growing. That's where I'm holding all my free events and free meditations that I give to the community. So do come and find us on on YouTube. And again, it's just my name, Louisa, Louisa havers. Thank you very much indeed. When we think about our capacity to grow, to expand, I think one of the things that people often focus on is financial abundance. But I just would like, you know, the last couple of minutes of the program, your view around how abundance in its broadest sense can be impacted positively by raising your internal ceiling.

Hmm. Thank you for bringing this because I think when we talk about abundance or prosperity, people don't just want it in one area, you know, we want the, I call it the trifecta, you know, we want the health, we want the wealth and we want the love that and not to trade one for the other because that's what can sometimes happen. We can go a bit wonky and we get abundance in one L, prosperity in one area. And then we can find the, the, our internal ceiling has just meant that we've is impacting the, the other areas because there's an element of how we do one thing is how we do everything. And so we want to be able to, I've seen it so often, you know, when we're working on the, the wealth in my, my wealth programs, people's relationships are improving. Their health is improving because it has that ripple effect across all aspects of their life. It is that balance, isn't it? I mean, I, as a recovering workaholic, know that if you're only focusing on work, then you haven't got time for some of the other things and it's just about

this balance in life. And for me, you know, the, the shift has been that abundance is very much about having a balanced life. I was talking up to another guest on the show who talked about longevity. And he said, we talk about longevity in terms of years that we live. But there is also longevity in terms of living a healthy life. And too many people are living long years, but actually a significant proportion of those being unhealthy or immobile. But he said the one that nobody seems to talk about is your joy, longevity. And those people who live happy, healthy, long lives where there is joy in their life, a real sense of fulfilment, that's a life well lived. And I think that's what I would be aiming for for myself and for everybody who's listening. Now, as you know, we're very proud to belong to an organisation called B1G1 by one give one, which makes giving part of your branding. And I have four themes. I choose different projects

each month for those themes. And I'm invite guests to choose one of them and we donate on your behalf as a thank you for being on the show. Four themes are clean water, education, health and rear forestation. What's your choice going to be today? Really forestation. Brilliant. Thank you very much. And remember that they give a hand up, not a handout. And we also donate meals to the hungry based on the number of listeners. So please do spread the word, get other people to listen and know that not only, I hope you're enjoying the show, but that you are helping someone else. Now, I have a free leadership blueprint. It's a free PDF. If you'd like a copy of that, all you need to do is to email me at Gina Gardner and friends at gmail.com. And it's looking at you at every aspect of your life. It's a real audit to help you and help you identify your internal ceilings across a whole range of things. So please do email me,

put blueprint in the subject line and you'll have a free copy sent to you. Now, also love to know what you think about the show. So just put what you think in the body of the email.
