Giants Sign Greg Newsome to Boost Secondary

They have agreed to a one-year deal with cornerback Greg Newsom, worth up to $10 million. This comes from ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, though it cannot become official until Wednesday. Newsom turns 26 in May, one of the younger free agents available. The Cleveland Browns drafted him in the first round back in 2021, picking him 21st overall from Northwestern. He spent his first 59 NFL games with the Browns, where he grabbed three interceptions, broke up 37 passes, and made 100. 78 tackles. The Browns traded him early in the 2025 season to the Jacksonville Jaguars. There, he played 12 games with one pick, six passes defense, and 29 tackles.
