The New York Giants have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with linebacker Tremaine Edmonds worth $36 million, including $23.7 million guaranteed. This move brings a season veteran to help shore up their defense. Earlier this month, the 27-year-old Edmonds became a free agent after the Chicago Bears released him to say $15 million in cap, space. He was wrapping up the final year of a four-year, $72 million deal he signed with Chicago in 2023. Edmonds entered the league as the 16th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2018. Over eight seasons, he has racked up more than 900 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 14 interceptions, and 59 passes defenced, starting every one of his 119 games. This signing fills a big gap for the Giants, who just let go of linebacker Bobby Ocarica.
