The New York Giants just cut ties with middle linebacker Bobby Okareki to gain some salary cap room ahead of free agency. The former team captain started most games over his three-year stint, but his performance slipped in recent seasons, so the team moved on to reshape, their defense. Earlier this week on a podcast, ESPN reporter Jordan Ronin shared that the Giants reached out about Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Devin Lloyd. The Jaguars drafted him in the first round back in 2022, and are now trying to keep him around. Lloyd stands out at 27 years old with second team all pro honors and a pro bull nod from 2025. He posted 81 tackles that year, grabbed five interceptions, and even ran back a pick 699 yards for a score, showing real, playmaking skills. Meanwhile, the Giants have shown interest in Detroit Lions veteran Alex Anzaloni too.
