Giant Otter Triplets Born at Chester Zoo

Parents Bonita and Manu are first timers, and the pup stayed cozy in their halt while mom fed them up until they tripled in size. As days after the zoo celebrated a tiny, Kirk's dictic analogue taking her first steps, these otters made their debut. Zoo staff are thrilled, calling it a rare boost for these apex predators that keep freshwater ecosystems in check. With their powerful builds and social vibes, giant otters faced tough threats like deforestation, pollution, and poaching, landing them on the endangered list. At eight weeks old, the vets gave them a full checkup, weighed them, checked hearts and teeth, and confirmed they're all healthy, two males and one, female. Now they're stepping out with mom and dad to learn water skills.
