Ghosting Yourself

About this episode

We say we have been "ghosted" when someone stands us up, or just disappears never to be seen or heard from again.

You had every reason to believe that they would show up, honour their commitment, see through their end of the bargain but then... nothing.

And we are left scratching our heads, wondering what just happened there.

But if you honestly stop and pause to reflect, ghosting doesn't have to be something you do to someone else or that they do to you.

What if ghosting was something you actually did to yourself as well?

Where in your life do you say you are going to do something that involves a commitment just to you - it may likely even be in pen in your diary - and then you just don't show up.

No communication, no apology, no acknowledgement. Just completely not present.

No-one likes being ghosted. So why do we do it to ourselves?
