Get Out of your Head with Brian Sachetta
About this episode
“There is hope, even if your brain tells you there isn’t” John Green
Our daily journeys can be filled with the battles that go on within our minds, and if left unchallenged, they can become the truth of what we believe about ourselves, others, or the events in our lives.
Depression and anxiety can begin to make their home within our thoughts and cause difficulties in our relationships and our everyday interactions.
My guest, Brian Sachetta, went through his own personal depressive episode that really shook him to the core, and this made him question his will to live.
What brought him through that time was a burning desire to figure out what makes depression tick, to help himself get better and to share what he learned to help others.
Brian Sachetta is the owner and author of Get Out of Your Head®, a brand and book series that seeks to help folks overcome anxiety and depression.
In today’s episode, Brian shares:
- Pattern recognitions and awareness of the thoughts that bring depression and anxiety
- The parallels between the computer and our brain
- How nutrition and exercise play a role in managing our depression and anxiety
- Daily routine that helps manage depression and anxiety
