Gerry McNamara's Orange Rebuild: Transfer Portal Moves

0:00On April 20th, Jerry McNamara, the national champgar from his Syracuse playing days, is back home as the new head coach, stepping in after Adrian, Otrie. He spent time learning the ropes at Siena, and everyone's hoping he can rebuild fast through the transfer portal. So far, he's pulled in a couple from Siena with him, Gavin Dodie, who could shine at this level, and Tasman Goodrick. They also grab point guard, Garway Dool for McNeese State and Wing Aiden Tobiasin from Temple. The orange have lost some key pieces, too. Like Donnie Freeman, Nathan George, Nate Kings, and Tyler Betsy. All hitting the portal. Fans are feeling the sting since more talents heading out than coming in right now. One bright spot is the international commit Mark Marano-Mumudovic, who might be their biggest grab yet. Still, they've missed on several top targets, and it hasn't been this flashy start everyone wanted for GMAC's era. Plenty of time left in the portal though, so expect more moves to balance the roster before things lock down.
