I'm on sports radio 92 9 the game. Sports radio 92 9 the game. All right, what's the number man? You tease me on that. I'm like, what's what's the number? Don't do that to me. You and I were talking about this. We were doing the show at Hooters after a Falcons practice like three weeks ago and you were like, I love this number. Oh yeah. Well, I do like tech a lot to win this game. It's funny because real quick, okay, we play that Dion Sanders because he was talking about this. They asked Dion about Georgia Tech and he's right. They don't have the secrets. All right. So by the way, did we mention Haynes King making the Carolina Panthers? Did we mention this? Yeah. You know, started with the Hall of Fame game for him. It's a big deal, man. Congratulations. But you know what, Brent Key has said to us, that's the kind of kid you want on your team. So he found a way to do that. But Dion, this is what he's happy about as they make their way to the A for Thursday nights game. Then God the quarterback is gone. That kid refused to lose a year ago. And he was definitely a difference maker.
I think he had a book 40 Russian something like that. $156. Thank you for checking me. I want to be seven 140. Yeah, this is a great team, though, man. And now it's Alberto Mendoza. Now Mendoza won't run the ball like that. But he may like them up in the air. And that would be something I think with George Godsy and Chris Winky of course helping out as QB coach. I mean, I'd like to see it. Haynes King, you know, we used to joke around. Runs like a deer, throws like a deer. Everybody got better throwing the ball. And he got better throwing the ball obviously at Panther's camp. But he was, man, he's like a steamroller. I mean, you just knew if it was short your artage or any kind of third and whatever, he's going to get it. You know, that's the guy. But now you don't have that element. You know, as you said, you got to recalibrate with Mendoza. Breeze and I bring it up. I'm going to recalibrate with Mendoza. Okay. I like it at six and a half. I do. It's George Tech minus six and a half. So it's still, it hasn't moved. Has it moved? I only asked that because there's been so much talk about Colorado being undersized. Yeah. And the video that came out and it just immediately, and it's one of those things where even if you never watch football,
it's like, those guys don't look like Division One. Yeah. No, he's right. Because my wife showed me a video and I was like, that's a high school. She was like, no, it's Colorado. That's a high school. She kept showing me all the comments. And I'm like, there's no way that's Colorado. Well, I always say you were sent back. And other guys are back behind the bleachers. It didn't look right. Right. So we'll say this, if that is in fact true and in Brinkie and his staff, they'll know. Expect a heavy dose of run. Well, that's why it's interesting if the line's been six and a half. So there's got to be something there that says that maybe that's not too true about them being undersized. Because you would think that the line would move in favor more in favor of tech. But if that was such a big concern. But still, nationally, people know, even though Colorado is terrible last year, people know Colorado is a brand. Yep. It's a betting brand. That's why there's always more money on Dallas than Atlanta in Vegas. I mean, just people know the brand. Well, I hope they know Dion. Yep. Yeah. It's going to be interesting. But I liked it as well. Are you going to jump on that? Give it to me. Put me down. Put me down. Like as we say, I think from the movie Glenn Gary Glenn Ross put me on that Cadillac board. So that's both of them now, right? Because Carl, you took your take it. Yeah.
Yeah. I already took it. I did. I took it way late. Yeah. I'm not taking it. Yeah. Excuse me. Yes. I laid it. But yes, I was on that a few weeks back. But I have totally forgotten about it until Mike teased me with the display. I was like, did he move? But I do like tech in this game. At home, bad taste in their mouth, right? The way the season ended, they were close, no cigar and the defense. And again, they brought in a, they basically brought in a bunch of mercenaries to play edge and to get it after the quarterback on the front seven. We talked to Brent Key about that last week. So hopefully that's going to pay a dividends. By the way, we're going to be at Twin Peaks in Kennesau. We are to kick off KSU against West Georgia. And by the way, the owls are a 23 and a half point of favor in that game. Okay. And coach Max going to join us. That's not saying. Talking about the spread with coach Max. We'll talk about his owls. And he's used the portal himself. He's done a good job, man. He's done a really good job so far. And look, they got, they have high expectations this year. Thursday, Twin Peaks, Kennesau Friday, guys, we're going back up to Hamilton Mill area. Buffalo's Cafe in Hamilton Mill. Mike and I were talking. It's been a while since we've been up there. But we'll be out Thursday and Friday.
So come on out and join us. We have been at Twin Peaks in a minute because we had the World Cup action. And then we're on the road with the Falcons. So looking forward to it. We're going to be at the Falcons. We're going to be at the Falcons. We're going to be at the World Cup action. And then we're on the road with the Falcons. So looking forward to it, man. All right, real quick. You were talking about Mendoza. Let me hear Georgia Tech quarterback Albert Mendoza when he asked was asked about being at Georgia Tech. I wouldn't say it's my team. I would say it's everybody's team that everyone's put in so many hours of preparation, so much effort into this. So many tears and sweat. And I think that putting it just my team isn't right. I think everyone deserves to be the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. It's not whoever's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets is. We are the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. All right, man. Look, what's up with these damn Mendozas saying the right thing? I mean, like the big bro, this kid comes along. It's not my team. It's hard to. Yeah, man. Look, attitude, the way they approach stuff, Mike, it's why everybody fell in love. I think we said it last year, like they'd win Indiana. They'd win a game and Mendoza would be right right on the field afterwards. And he always said he'd go into it. You know, he's like a smile. And well, you know, we played hard.
It was just like the perfect answers. Now for what it's worth. They asked Kurt Signetti about how his roster looked and he says, you know, we kept everybody we wanted to keep because except he was, you know, we lost Mendoza. So he wanted to keep Mendoza for what it's worth. He's on the record with that. Okay. I think they got a good quarterback, though, man. And I love the fact that Gouz's working with Winky and let's, as you said, bring the most out of this kid. Yeah. I'm talking about Indiana. Right. They've got a guy too. By the way, while we're talking quarterbacks, more on the Falcons and again, I said to Carl to start the program. I can't remember more interest than a Falcon roster in roster cuts this year. It really the Jack's strand, but come in the folk hero here is really kind of the needle jack frost United. We strand and then of course Zach Harrison will talk more about his numbers, but maybe some people are missing the script on this one. But just real quick, other quarterbacks, you and I were just talking off the air. Baylor coming on to take Auburn Auburn brings up Byron Brown from USF. Big guy to 63, 235. But DJ lagway, SI had an article saying if the star is the line, don't write, you want to get some nice odds and make yourself some money.
Vote on him for being a Heisman finalist with again, if you can say healthy and you just talked about the coaches on basically on a hot seat out there at Baylor. Yeah, Dave, Dave and Randah, he's got to get it done. I mean, this is a big kickoff game. And if coach, Gouz can pull this off. I think a lot of people are going to take notice of Auburn and you know, Baylor. I think Mike, this is supposed to be, I don't want to say his savior, but they they they went and spent some money on this. And they feel like they've showed up the quarterback position. It should be if Baylor's offense is clicking guys, they got the potential to put some points on the board. So again, that game's right here. Mercedes bins. But I think that's going to be like one of those opening games. It's really interesting because I want to see what Gouz, Gouz is known for his offense. Right. Right. That's we could see some some scoring there. And I got a bunch of neighbors, my neighbor, my neighbor down in Calvita County. It's Georgia. It's Auburn's everybody. But the Auburn fans just say this kid's making three million dollars brown. The play QB. He won't make it in that. It is last stop. No, he was not. Come to the planes and get a race.
Yeah, man. So that that's going to be interesting. But yeah, we got a bunch of games that we can look forward to. And again, came Sunday and even Monday, Florida State plays Monday. Yeah, Monday. Dude, again, get you. Carl's used to this after 12 years now going on 13. You'll be carrying me on Tuesday. You going down for the game? Yeah. Okay. But it's a freaking Monday night. Yeah. Last time Florida State played a Sunday night game against Notre Dame. And all the restaurants were closed. You couldn't get any food on Sunday night. There was like a literally there was like a 700 car line to get in a water bird. And it's history. And that was day day. That was the night. I said, you know, screw it. We had an Airbnb. And I'm like, you know, I went I went to like a quick trip. I got some coffee. I said, that's it. We're just heading home because we just we're all we wanted was to eat. We had no food. And every waffle house we stopped at. It was like that. What was that movie with Rodney Dangerfield? Easy money. They go to a diner. It says open 23 hours. Not every that they are there. Every waffle house we stopped that was there was something. They were changing out the grill. Or they were cleaning it. Or they don't stay open. I was like, what do you it's waffle house? But anyway, I don't know what it's going to be like Monday night.
So I'm just going to get we got a hotel room. We're going to come back Tuesday morning. Awesome. Yeah, no. And says, M.U. by the way, another one. One and a half point favorite. Not to know. Any. That's you know, Florida says it's going to get their butts kicked. You got a no pass rush down there. It's an it's an it's some use 19 in the country. They're good man. And a mediocre quarterback. Like unless this was the greatest sandbag. But who who's norveled a sandbag at this at this point? Look after the first game. It didn't bode well for fans to have any confidence. Right. You made that a game. That game more interesting than it should have been. I just feel like Mike, this is a wait and see. You know, his bio to speaking of it is only 45. Yes. Yeah. Yep. It drops from 51 to 45 and after this is so that that's you know, but again, that's still a lot of money. I don't think they're going to cut that check. Even if he sucks this year. All right. All right. And Daniels for those remember that was the former Auburn backup. He's a quarterback for the Nulls down there. What do we have coming up in Guitain? All right. Tony Romo's story. Um, obviously it's it's embarrassing. But it's it's at the end of the world for those people who live in glass houses. I guess. But Tony Romo, whether he did this on his own or it's in PR help.
He gets found guilty. Please know contest, but how he's handling it. What are you saying? He's going to keep his job at CBS. We'll explain. And our social media expert, Orin Romain, will explain did Tua like his own image on social media. Tua on Tua Love. We'll explain next.
