So George's attorney general, his name is Chris car is encouraging SEC commissioner Greg Sankie to take quote all measures available, including suspension and removing LSU from the conference. 1:00player this season, he wrote a letter to Sankie's office, Mike and says we as in the attorney general of Georgia are willing to use all legal means necessary to protect the University of Georgia students, student athletes and the integrity of college athletics. There you go. And we talked about, you know, where this will go. And do you put enough smoke and heat and eventually the court of public opinion will make LSU melt on this the way Texas tech did with Sorensby. You know, Brandon Sorensby and then all that, all that fiasco. So will there be common sense? See, I don't think there's any common sense at LSU. You made the point yesterday. You don't think this is all online. You think it's the people that are paying lanes paycheck. I do. But they're driving this. I know. Don't get me wrong. All these big time state school coaches have a lot of power. They do. Okay. Plus you're the highest paid state employee. I get it. But there's a lot of power brokers behind these people. And when you have this, this thing where it's us against everybody, you start to feel, I think they feel empowered, Mike, to kind of show everybody. We can do what we want to do. You guys can't hold this back.

2:02And I think they're pushing him. Listen to Lane's comments. He keeps saying, Hey, our kids are not in the hearings. Well, you know, I'm not at the hearings. We'll see what happens Friday when this goes down. And he's kind of Mike not pushing the issue as hard as you might think. When in fact, you know, it feels like LSU that this train is going down the tracks. I love the fact that Chris Carr, the attorney general for Georgia is saying this, but you're right. This is like, Hey, we're about to put our foot down. And this is, this is one attorney general. What about Tennessee's attorney general? Ford is attorney like this is where it starts to pile up. Right. Now eventually the SEC will get a judge and they'll get this in a courtroom where common sense will prevail. We think, but you know, don't count on that in 2026. But just another amount of pressure being brought to bear by my car, the attorney general and see how the SEC plays it and love to see this story. Just go away, love to see Clemson B del SU, dabbo have good triumph over evil. Not likely to happen though. Speaking of Lane Kiffin, new book is out from John Taulty. 3:04But John from CBS Sports in his book called Lane Being Lane. They take the most salacious stuff from the book in the excerpts for vanity fair in an article called Inside Lane Kiffin's trash talking era with Nick Saban at Alabama. It's pretty wild. And then basically Saban said, keep him away from the sorority girls. And that Lane was basically on one giant lost weekend with his family out in California after getting fired at USC. That Lane was just basically getting it in in a small town where everybody knew about it. And eventually, even though it maybe didn't make TMZ or national news, everybody around the college football world doing, and that's why he wound up at FAU and missed out on big jobs that were available at the time. Yeah, because he was the offensive coordinator at Alabama had one of the best offences in the country. You're right. He was a hot commodity goes. It does an interview with Pete Tamil for his size. He's getting ready to move to Boca and basically talks issue about Nick Saban's coaching management style, living in Tuscaloosa. And then he goes on to call plays to warrant practice the week of the semi-final game here in Atlanta

4:05against Michigan State. And that pushes Saban to say that's it fire the blank, and then Jimmy Sex and works out something where they's making sound like, oh, it's a mutual agreement. And then Sarkeesian comes in and kind of like what happened with 17 with the Falcons. Sarkeesian really was an up to the task and they fall short on a couple of big plays against Clemson. You're right. You're right. Cause it's hard to come in and go, yeah, we just want to do what he did. And again, no, man, you've got to have your thing and you've got to really have confidence and start with the staff, but it still didn't play out. No, not at all. And you know, like you said, when he came here to the Falcons, Mike, it wasn't a bad hire. It was just you were asking him to do something that I think it would have been hard for any coordinator to do. We were joking around about like the sports time machine today in addition to obviously stopping national and international trash. It is we also affect the sports outcomes. I would smack Dan Quinn around and go, hey, hey, you don't need Sarke. Matt LaFlor. Matt LaFlor is here. He's here. He knows Ryan. He knows the offense. He knows Shan Anza fans. Nice to young. That's true. We certainly will. They don't have quarterback issues though Mike. They have their franchise quarterback. Come on guys. And the text like here you go, dude, you're bound making a mountain out of a molehill. Are we about this? No, we just when you hear a general manager talk about us and the decision making who the shorting quarterback is going to be. If maybe you weren't around for Dimitroff and Quinn, the Us part gives us pause. That's what we were talking about. It does. I look, I want to be clear on this. I think Ian is heading in the right direction.

6:06He hadn't been on the job long enough guys for us to do a full evaluation. And I always say this general managers three years. Let me get through three drafts. Let me get to three off seasons and see where there's is. But I do like the direction. I do feel like he has a plan and I get why Matt and others in this organization were impressed in speaking with him, Mike, because I think he learned to be quite honest with you from the best. When you talk about the Ravens, the Eagles, and then you leave, you know, you're in Chicago, like I feel like the way Chicago has turned and you've seen the Ravens be competitive and one of the best organizations over the years, filling. There's something to that. And either you are really dumb or really smart. If you're in those organizations and you don't take stuff from them. And I think he got here. Mike was like, okay, here's my assessment. And it fits. We need to be bigger up front. I think him and Jeff Olbrich hit hit it off there. I do believe that they both feel that way on the defensive line. Okay. So what else do we need to do? We need to lock up our core players. They did that this off season.

7:06The quarterback thing eventually is going to work itself out. And I hate to say this one way or the other. Do we hope that this works these share with Michael Pinnix? Yes. Because then we don't have to worry about it. That's always been the whole argument here where people get mad at us or Matt more, more, more mad at me than you. But you know, it's about, you know what I say? I'm talking about the injury history because you know, what we're here because he gets injured a lot. That's why we don't know he's the man yet. You know, and that's why we didn't get to see him. Scribbing. If not, if not, okay, if not play in the preseason, at least scrimmage against the Colts and that would have given him a better sample size for Stofanski and Tommy Reeves and Alex Van Pelt, everybody and apparently Andy and Cunningham to decide if this guy is the guy, you know, to start the season. I don't want to see two of us. Nothing against two. You know, I maybe we could establish a trade and somebody finds they want to be interested in two. If he starts well for a couple of games, but I want to see what panics is. That's the whole thing. So then we know by May, when the deadline comes, are we picking up the option? Yeah. And then if not, we're going to go draft a quarterback in a, and now not

8:08would seem to be a really good draft. Well, I'll just give you an example like when the cuts happened earlier this week, coming off the weekend, Joe Milton was let go by the Cowboys and people were like, dude, he's played great. He's a great young player. Go get him Cowboys signing back to their practice squad. And the point I'm getting to is most teams realize just like the Falcons, you're hoping that nobody comes out, but usually works out. You know, they put, they put Harrison on the, on the waivers, Mike, and, and they end up resigning him. And then today, in cutting him talks about what kind of player they think he is, but they had to make a decision. And the decision was simple. We're going to keep these four quarterbacks because there is something there that says, if it goes wrong, I've got to have something in the room. I don't want to go searching. I don't want to have to make trades. And therefore we're going to take the chance on letting Harrison be out there for a minute. And then we're going to get hopefully getting back. They did. The point is all these cowboy friends are losing their mind about Joe Milton. On his back on the practice squad for the Cowboys. Now again, but they definitely admit, I don't, I'm just guessing.

9:09I don't know, but if Matt is, you know, if Matt Ryan's asked about quarterbacks, that's a, that's a positive because he knows the damn job. Yes. And if Matt feels, hey, we can't risk losing a guy like Jack Strand. And it's more than just the simple, as you said, with the Cowboys, every summer, there's a guy like this in many camp and then summer camp guys, fans fall in love with the backup. But I think there's something about this guy that the folks, it's not just the fans. I think that the management season, they wouldn't do it. Otherwise, they have to do all sorts of cap gymnastics to try to keep Zach, they get Zach Harrison on the practice squad. You know, it does kind of hamstring you because it gets tight as you're seeing. But now the question will be, does the team lose a quarterback and then we could trade a guy like Cooper Rush on the course of the first quarter of the season, something like that. You better feel pretty confident about these. Other two. Well, that's just it. Yeah, that's just it. Hey, by the way, the other big story today is cool is a couple of them now is, it's a huge, huge, huge penalty for the LA Clippers and Steve Balmer. Now, the money usually nothing for Balmer, but they lose five first round picks. And credit to our buddy Jeff Wilverton who I used to work with at the old 790,

10:11Jeff was saying, remember, the Minnesota T-Wols got nailed for doing a yin yang contract with Joe Smith. That's true. And they manipulated some money, which eventually kept him on the roster for a middle level exemption. They got a big contract. So anyway, it's happened before, but the money is the thing here. The idea that Pablo Torrey was dead on about a year ago when he dropped this article, that there was a dummy corporation set up to give the claw, Kawai Leonard, some extra loot outside of the cap and now Balmer's paying for it. Yeah. And we found out again, these suspensions, it's really incredible. Balmer suspended for all league and team activities for one year, plus the $30 million fine. The president of business operations, these are the names we dropped earlier. Gillian Zucker is also suspended without pay for one year for being primarily and directly culpable for the endorsement arrangements. And then the president of basketball for the Clippers, his name's Laurence Frank.

11:11We mentioned his name earlier. He is also suspended without pay for six months for his involvement with these impermissible endorsements and engagements or arrangement should I say. So like that part of it, and then the five picks, I mean, like there's a lot to this. And I think, oh, mention something to us in the break, which I thought was very interesting. If you go back and you had to be a, you know, basketball head to remember this, but the Paul George, when they went and got Paul George and they traded SGA, who nobody knew he was going to be this damn good. You in essence lost 10 picks now in the pursuit of getting Paul George and Kawaii Leonard. And obviously that was a great big nothing burger, Paul George. Now again, a shell of himself now he's in Boston and Kawaii eventually this now goes to Toronto. By the way, Joe Pompleyano covers sports in the business of sports. The Balmer earns more than $300 million carl in dividends from his Microsoft stock, every quarter. So basically it'll take him less than 10 days to cover the 30 million dollar five.

12:13But as you pointed out, the five first round picks, if you want to build this thing organically, the way Oklahoma City has done or we're trying to do in Atlanta, now you can't do it.
