George Whitefield lived in the 1700's and was a traveling preacher that was prominent in both the United Kingdom and the colonies. He became famous for preaching over 18,000 sermons in his life to over 10,000,000 different people. He is one of the most famous preachers of The Great Awakening.In the sermon, "An Almost Christian," Whitefield talks about those who would almost come to Christ. He talks about the danger of living that kind of life and the traits that these people have.
