In the air, we see this permeation of impurity and vice, and instead of churchmen whose real job is to build a new Christendom, regardless of whatever nonsense Leo has said on this himself, he, frankly, publicly said it's not his job to build a new Christendom. Well, the church's purpose, according to Jesus Christ himself, is to baptize all nations bringing in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost, teaching them all that Jesus taught them.

2:26That sounds like building a new Christendom to me, because if you bring large numbers of people into the faith, he will change society. And if you return it to a Christ-focused Catholic civilization, you have, by definition, rebuild Christendom. But regardless of all that, one of the key factors, one of the key values in all of this is inclusion, sacrifice the truth of the faith, including the morality, claims, and demands made by the church, in the name of group hugs, kumbaya, getting along with one another. And it's nonsense. And we now have a story from an outlet that I'm going to use in a while, which is unfortunate because they tend to brutally tell you what they're actually trying to do to the church. And that is the National Catholic Reporter. They don't sugarcoat anything. The headline is, with or without Rome, the James Martin values inclusion, or just ahead.

3:29You may recall back in September, there was this little pilgrimage that happened, went to Rome, in the Basilica, a Cardinal Archbishop offered a match for the James Martin crowd, and these are not the people with a unnatural inclination for traction that people just like themselves, right, men for men, and the like, but they resist. We're not talking about them. We're not talking about the people who resist their sinful inclinations. They are those who do so, and stay close to the sacraments and try to live as the church teaches them to live, and when they slip up, they go to confession and they start a new and are seeking holiness, they're not the problem here. They're the heroes of this story. That's not who we're talking about in this story. We're talking about that group who showed up in September, and people like them, who the Cardinal Archbishop first thing, he said to them, at the mass he offered, just before

4:30he gave out sacrilegious communion to who knows how many people there, said, Pope Leo welcomes you and ordered me to give you this mass. That was the breaking point for a lot of people who were playing the, let's wait and see what kind of Pope Leo actually is, moment because it was very clearly business as usual. But of course, the James Martin crowd is not happy with the pace that they're doing. This is one of those areas that Leo said, we can't change the church teaching because people aren't there yet. Attitudes need to change. Details from this. It was a timely moment as last September, Crux published an interview between Pope Leo the Fourteenth and journalist Elise Ann Allen for her biography, Leo the Fourteenth citizen of the world, missionary of the 21st century. In the excerpt, Leo told Allen that the church's doctrinal stances on sex and gender would not change any time soon, while still opening the door to pastoral acceptance. 5:32demands to say, we want the recognition of James Martin's parody of holy matrimony, for example. We want recognition for people who are confused about the flesh, to say this is officially recognized and approved by the church, the individuals will be accepted and received. I think the church's teaching will continue as it is, and that's what I have to say about that for right now. I think it's very important, Leo said. Well pause here. That sounds fine, but you kind of notice the way he's saying this, is that I think the church's teaching will continue as it is, it kind of implies that it could change, we're talking about morality that has stood unequivocal since Peter was given the keys to the kingdom. Really before that, if you want to start talking about the old covenant that Jesus himself abolished during his ministry, but you know, those values were there beforehand. I mean, so we're talking, you know, ancient, ancient values here, but they, you know, they could change. Leo participated in this interview last year, and his views may have radically changed,

6:35certainly softened in the time since. Many James Martin type Catholics were discouraged to hear his words. Many of us have waited our whole lives, have died, waiting to see the day that the church would welcome our full selves, sacrifice, our relationships, and recognize our bodies made in the image of Jesus Christ. This is a really interesting way of phrasing that, isn't it? Their bodies are made in the image of Jesus Christ. It's kind of an odd way to say that, and it sort of focuses this on the, essentially this is a focus of the flesh, the material, with this is what our lives are about. Instead of being called repentance and worry about eternal things, this is a, we want to have the way we live endorsed by the church. I guess the words pick up your cross and follow me no longer apply in the new sonotal church. Leo's words will well-intentioned reinforce a longstanding argument that recognizing these people will in some way shake the foundations of the church itself. When we be clear, our bodies, our identities, and our relationships are not political or

7:37polarizing. They're politicized by people who do, who believe we do not and should not exist. For the Pope to say that our welcome in the church is a form of polarizing tension, only reinforces the idea that the liberation of our bodies and identities is expendable for the sake of church unity. It stands under a contrast to its determination and fortitude in defense of migrants and the other vulnerable groups. So again, liberation of our bodies and identities, where's the soul stuff at? The eternal salvation, one day you're going to stand before Jesus and you have to give an account on everything you've done in life and from there, after that process is done, you're going to go to wherever it is you're spending eternity, none of that, nothing here about salvation, judgment, heaven, hell, you know, the whole four last things. Well, death judgment, heaven and hell, but anyway. As I saw at the retreat that she opened the article with, James Martin Catholics will not stop pushing for inclusion and recognition in the church.

8:40We will not accept being tolerated by the institution we invest in. Invest in. Again, it's so interesting to use a language in this. One that welcomes only one or two dimensional images of ourselves. We demand full communion and recognition of our bodies, our love and our joy. And then they start talking about how great these activists groups are. The founder of one said, for the church, dignity has been incredibly significant. Dignity is another one of these radical revolutionary organizations. We were formed in the excitement and the energy of the post-Maticant to world when there was all kind of hope that the doors of the church had been thrown open and there was fresh breezes coming through the windows and so much was possible. What right there is the biggest condemnation of Vatican II I've ever seen. Groups of people who embrace sins that crowd to have in for vengeance, according to inherent sacred scripture, are themselves now saying, hey, we got started in the revolutionary spirit of Vatican II. There goes on like this.

9:42These and giving you like the sob stories of people. And it says this. But even if the church is not ready to make our inclusion and welcome institutional, James Martin Catholics are proceeding ahead with it, forming their own faith organizations to serve our spiritual needs, where the church cannot and creating spaces who structure and governance revolutionize not just our own communities, but the church as a whole. In other words, if the church isn't willing to change for us, we will change the church ourselves. That sounds like they're forming schismatic groups here. Strange to see this. The church is welcome be part of that spiritual journey. James Martin Catholics have long invited the church to stand with them and recognize their personhood, their love. But it has to stop viewing our welcome, our liberation as too polarizing, too political of a choice. These Catholics existence and inclusion is not a choice or an institutional stance. It is an inevitability. As the founder of one of these organizations said, we can't go back.

This issue will not be allowed to be taken off the table, because the church is played footsie with these activists for decades by allowing James Martin to do his evil work. And more importantly than that, by allowing significant numbers, we'll say we're not sure exactly the numbers some estimates are up to 80% of the bishops and priests to be recruited from the likes of the James Martin crowd. The only reason I don't think it's 80% is because if that was the case, they would have changed the teaching already. They would have had enough institutional inertia to stop them.

11:47But it has to be significant, because we know that when the macarach problem was boiling under the surface in the late 90s, before we were allowed to be open in 2002, there were attempts by lay people in the United States and other countries to write to Rome to try to get something done and nothing happened. Benedict XVI later said his mail would be intercepted by the people who work in the Roman Curia, all from the lavender groups. We know who they are. They exist in a large, sizable portion of the institutional church in the Roman Curia. So during Lent, if you're still looking for something to pray and fast for, the liberation and exaltation of holy mother of the church is a classic one. He got a good piece of context here, because like I said, this article is more than a little threatening. Do what we ask, or we'll do it to you.

12:48This is coming at a time when most of the data shows the people in the secular world are getting pretty tired in that group. Attitudes towards giving them the ligaments have dropped off dramatically, headed towards a negative, not towards opposition to their movement. Thanks be to God for it.
