The Jake Asman Show will begin shortly. Thanks to all these great Patreon members who help support the show. Get your super chats ready. Jake will be here in just a moment. If you love the New York Jets, this is the place to be. Garrett Wilson made his boldest prediction as a jet. Is he on drugs? I'm just kidding. I hope he's right. We'll talk about it. Omar Brown is going to join us. It's the Jake Asman Show. Game day is approaching. It starts right now. Let's go for power. We've got a smile over there.

We're going to die. A shout out to Jake Asman. He's tremendous and ascended talent. You can hear a lot of him from long, long time. What do you have? Maniacs. I do enjoy the show. Breakfast and Kyle Brandt. Is there anything better? I love this guy. I know Jake and I get that. He's all up in the Jets. He's got a lot of good opinion. Oh, boy. He gets the ****. Oh, that looks great. No one can use the ****. The Asman is on premises. Yeah, looking right at it. No, I'm not the Asman. The Asman is like, you walk into the car behind it. You have to walk behind the Jets. I'm going to kill you. I've got one word for you. Pain. Ah, here we go, Jet Feds. Welcome in everyone. It is indeed the Jake Asman Show. We're live on a hump day. It's Wednesday. We're presented by a prize picks busy day for yours truly. We're doing three shows for live right now. Oh, Mari Brown is about to join me. I'll have another show with Jared Stillman, who is the biggest Titans content creator and the guy that was mart in the controversy with cam ward. Where they banned him from the facility took away his credentials. He joins me in the 4 p.m. hour. And tonight at 6 p.m.

The Jets collective is back joined Ritz Samiti, Brandon Tierney, and yours truly. So we got three shows for you today. Certainly a whole lot to talk about footballs back tonight. Where they remat to the Super Bowl. And we say hello right now to our guy. Oh, Mari Brown, who joins us in his weekly spot. Oh, Mari, we made it, man. The NFL is back a little Wednesday night football. Sure. Why not? Man, we are finally back. Now we can actually talk about stuff that's real. That's tangible that we can see. And I'm I'm I'm geeked. I'm geeked, man. So excited to get into it, man. And nobody works harder than you, man. Three shows one day you're the stamina dude. You're a legend. I appreciate you, man. And you're working pretty hard yourself. So that's what we deal around here, right? Football is back that's time of the year. Doesn't actually feel like work. If you enjoy it, it would be really nice if the Jets could certainly win on Sunday. I feel like we've been talking about this week one game forever because we basically have. So we won't specifically start with the game. Sunday we'll talk about the season as a whole. I found these comments from Garrett Wilson to be refreshing.

And I thought they were interesting. So I'll play you the full back and forth with Garrett Wilson and Antoine Staley of the New York Daily News. The question that you'll hear is Garrett being asked about his expectations for the season. And here's the full back and forth with Garrett Wilson making a bold prediction for the New York Jets. Successful season. I would like to play awesome. No doubt about it. Play awesome. And the season restart and see what happens. Nothing else. Very realistic. Very realistic. I mean, I think it should happen. I'll say that. So it's our job to go play ball and do it. That's how I feel about it. What is your confidence that this team can't fight against the players? Yeah. I mean, I'm a competitive guy. I'm going to work with these guys every day for the last four or five months since April. Yeah. I have a month. So I've seen everything I need to see other guys we have.

And I've done things differently personally to try and play my role to the best of my ability this year to help fill in with the missingies and these past years, just keep us from getting there. Something that's going to happen this year. And I'm also a thankful guy. I believe that the work's been put in. We have a good opportunity as anyone else in this league. And I'm excited. We got to help the group. Except. So Garrett is exciting. He thinks this team could be a playoff team. He called the playoff chances there. Very realistic. You buy it into the confidence that Garrett Wilson is showing to his teammates in the jets in 2026. Oh, yeah. That's exactly how Garrett Wilson should feel. He's confident in his abilities. He's confident in, you know, the talent that the team has that the regime has bought in. That's exactly how he should feel. That's how you want your best, your centerpiece. Garrett, Garrett Wilson is the offensive centerpiece of the New York Jets going forward.

That's exactly the mindset that he should be going into the season with. Now again, do we think that? Do you and I think that probably not? But that's exactly the type of mentality that I want Garrett Wilson to go out with every Sunday. And that's why fans love Garrett Wilson. You know, and it just goes back to it. You know, and I'm glad that we're just getting far away from like this tank talk because I players don't tank. Now, are they good enough to, to stop them from, you know, winning one or two games always? No. But no player goes out there saying like, hey, listen, I want to improve our draft position. I just think it's, it's, it's idiotic to think that that professional players are going to tank. So that's exactly the mindset that he should have. And that's the mindset that fans should have until they prove it otherwise. I'm right there with you. I'd be lying to you though, Omari. If I don't hear those comments and the inner jet fan in me thinks, man, if this is a mess and he's this confident going into the year. Is this going to be the year that finally breaks Garrett Wilson spirit, right? Like that's the issue with those saying, just tank go Owen 17 who cares.

It's because a player like Garrett Wilson is trying to buy into things being different with his organization. He signed a long term deal here. If they're bad again, like awful like last year all over again or a version similar to that. Does it finally break them? Is he like, I've had enough. I want out. And that doesn't mean the jets would trade them, but does it get ugly? Like that's why I can't just go into the year rooting for losses because this guy is trying to say the right things to do the right things. Be a part of the change. I take him at face value when he thinks they can be a pretty good team. But I just, I just worry if this goes poorly like you and I don't expect a big season from the jets. I don't know your win total prediction. I'm at around six right now going to the start of the year. Like I just wonder what that does for the psyche of a player like Garrett Wilson. I mean, listen, losing takes a toll on players. It takes a toll on fans. Look at how it takes a toll on people that I covered this team. You know, you and I does take a toll on you. You know, when we have to speak to our contemporaries and our peers, you know, it's always L.O.L. jets. When we talk to our family members that aren't jets fans. It's, oh, you're a jets fan.

So yes, it takes a toll on all of us. But again, it's you have to keep hoping, right? Jake, you and I are your next fans. We remember what it was like. You remember what it was like for about 20 years being a next fan. It was rough. It was, you know, but you have to have hope. You have to hope that the tide is going to turn at some point. You know, a lot of these teams that look at Buffalo. Buffalo was in almost the same situation as us. All it takes is that one decision that, you know, the shoe to finally fall in your direction for things to turn around. Now, could it be this year? Maybe not. I'm right there with you. You know, I think that I came when you're showing I predicted seven, you know, seven and ten. I'm right in that six to seven range just because of the talent that they added. But again, you never know what happens. You really go down in whoop on Tennessee. Next thing you know, your back home and we've talked about this. You know, there's a lane where you could where you could see this team rattling off some wins. So again, you just have to keep hope. You know, and that's the cool thing about being a fan. That's the cool thing about covering this team is because you're going to be able to say one day.

Listen, I, I stay down with this team while they, while they, you know, are almost old enough to get their license. In a playoff drought. And now that that we have sustained success and we're, you know, head into the playoffs for the third consecutive year. You know, it's going to feel good. And that's why you joined sports. You know, the loyalty there, you hope, you know, you hope that it's rewarded. But you also understand that you may never be rewarded. Now, if you're a next fan, we got rewarded. And if you are, and if I were to talk to you in 2009 when the Jets were in the AFC championship. And I said that, hey, listen, the nicks are going to win a championship within the next 15 years. I would have been like, there's no way. There's absolutely no way. So, you know, it's, it's optimist, it's optimist season. And let's be optimistic. I mean, from a talent standpoint on offense, you can make a case. It's the most talented offensive group that Garrett has played with. You could certainly make that argument, right? I think this is the most talented offensive group since 2015. What would you say to that? Top to really argue with you, right?

I mean, you can maybe point to the Jets when they had Rogers in 24 and they had a Devonte. But still, you just look at what that team was at that point, the how dire the coaching situation was. Yeah. I think it's a tough, it's a tough sell. They have talent. And again, some of it is young and you're projecting. But I like what I've seen this summer from guys like AD Mitchell and Mason Taylor. It's an unknown what's to deep. But ultimately, I'm going to still try and give him the benefit of the doubt that a guy who was picked 16th overall is going to be able to play a big role in this offense. I know what breeze is. I like the offensive line. It really comes down to Gino, right? And I mean, you hate to just put it all on the quarterback, but so much of the NFL is quarterback, especially when you're the Jets. And we know there's struggles of that position for basically forever. So so much of it really is in the hands of Gino Smith this year. Yeah, I think it comes down to listen to two most important positions in this sport in this league are the head coach and the quarterback.

So if the Jets can find themselves on most days just getting marginal production from both, the Jets are going to be competitive. And I understand, you know, like we're grasping at straws here and we're settling, you know, I think it's like stop settling for crumbs. But it's also like, you know, after what what we watched last year, you know, and then having to talk about this multiple times daily. I think that we would all just I think we'd all just be happy with competitive football. And I think that at minimum, the Jets are going to be able to play competitive football. And now again, the goal isn't, you know, the goal is to obviously win Super Bowls, but you know, you have to take incremental growth. You know, it doesn't go from winning three games, being historically bad for what turn over different true, like historically bad. So firing 70 what almost 90% of your coaching staff to all of a sudden go into the playoffs and having sustained success. So I think it, I think you have to bottom out, then you have to be competitive. Then you can take that next step.

You know, so they've infused talent. They've infused veteran leadership. You know, you know, we've talked about the captain C and things like that. I think that, you know, the the pieces are there. The foundation is there if you want to believe. That's what I would say. If you're watching the show live, click the thumbs up button. Make sure you also subscribe to the channel. I want to thank the Asmatiac community for helping us reach over 67,000 subscribers this week. We have exploded since training camp. The shorts continue to do well. So if you're someone who found us through the Jets collective, any of the shows I did all summer on ESPN New York, the short videos, the clipout segments. We've been posting our goals to give you as much shit content as possible. Shout out to Gary Vee who shared one of my tweet yesterday on his social media. We had a huge uptick and subscribers from that. So shout out to Gary. Big shout out again to everyone who tunes in. Makes it possible to do you round Jets talk again, you round football discussion on a team that has failed to make the playoffs longer than any franchise.

It professional sports. Now you mentioned the captain situation. I'll play you Garrett's answer here. This was G5 being asked about not being voted a team captain. The team announced the captain's last name. I think people were surprised that you weren't among them because you were a captain last year. Were you upset that you weren't a captain? I don't know if obsessed the word. It's more of like man, we got a collection of guys that all warrant that label. It's one of those things where it's offensive. It goes without saying for the guys that are in here what they bring the value they bring to this team. And what they mean to this team as far as getting us ready to play, getting us ready to practice on a day-to-day basis. And I'm happy to have those guys leading the charge man. And I'm always going to be there to play my role the best in my ability whatever that is. I would say that. Your thoughts on that answer there from Garrett?

One thing I just want to applaud Garrett's maturity. And the cool thing about sticking with a franchise and watching guys get drafted, you watch them grow up. They're young men when they come into this league or I don't really want to say boys. But they're college kids when they come into this league. And I think before ours were watching Garrett, just mature as a man, mature as an NFL player. And also mature as a leader. I think two years ago he probably would have responded differently. He took the question in. He took some time to respond. He thought about it. And he's still the thing that we all love about Garrett is that he's really heartfelt in a lot of his words. And in a lot of his pressers, he wears his heart on his sleeve. But I think that he's also more calculated and measured now. And that comes from maturity. So he understood. He probably knows that he's arguably the best player on this team. Well, he is the best player, especially offensively. He knows that. But then he also understands that, you know, Joe Tipman has the right mentality. He's only offensive line.

And the quarterback is the quarterback. Right. So I thought he probably probably did rub him the wrong way because we're all human. But he kind of he probably understood why he wasn't chosen to be a captain. And I will say I was watching, you know, one of the, in the jets, you know, their production crew does a great job. I watched the Genos Smith origins episode last night. He and Breeze are the only younger, you know, younger, quote unquote, bets on the leadership council. So Garrett Wilson is definitely a part of that. And I think that, you know, this isn't, you know, just because you're not voted captain doesn't mean you're not a leader. And I think that, you know, his demeanor is showing that he's maturing as a leader. So I thought this was interesting because I was listening to a podcast that Jordan Schultz did with Keesha Johnson. The two of them went to the jet facility about two weeks ago and got some interviews with Glenn and, you know, a bunch of different jet players, Geno Smith, a demitial. But Keesha on had almost like a throwaway line about a conversation that he had with Sean Jefferson, who's the jets wide receiver coach.

I want to play it for you because I think this kind of adds some context on why Garrett was not voted a jets team captain in being able to communicate with guys was a big deal. Sean Jefferson coming over to me and asking me to talk to Garrett Wilson because he wants Garrett Wilson to take a beer leadership role that those are the sort of things that make players like myself who was part of an organization appreciate that organization because you got real people in the building now opposed the phony below these. You said it's a so think about that. He Sean, I don't know how Sean Jefferson and Keesha know one another, but obviously they have a relationship Jefferson was there with Sawa. He was one of the only the only assistant coach to actually be retained by Aaron Glenn and be retained after Glenn fired 50% of the staff after year one. So Sean Jefferson is considered a good receiver coach. He's been able to survive this long and I thought it was interesting that this podcast comes out and then a day later after Keesha has that little nugget that the wide receiver coach asked Keesha to go up to Garrett and say, hey man we want you to be more of a vocal leader.

Garrett's not voted one of the team captain. So I thought that was some interesting context perhaps to the dynamics inside that locker room. Yeah, and it's funny because on X you know there's a there's a you know a faction of this fan based I want to nitpick at every little thing and sometimes it is it's something and sometimes nothing. You know when when people say hey Garrett wasn't voted a leader I just responding to said because there's better leaders on the team. There's nothing wrong with that just because you're great just because you're great doesn't mean that you're a leader. You know I've sometimes you know and I'll use you know my corporate experience you know I could be when I was coming up I was a better salesperson I was a better salesman that a lot of the veteran salespeople but I at the time I didn't have the tools I didn't have the life experience to lead. So sometimes just because you're great doesn't mean that you're good at leading other people I think that it takes a certain level of experience a certain level of charisma and belief in yourself to be a leader and other people have to believe in you as well too.

And you can acquire that over time some people are born with it some people have to acquire those tools and I just don't think that Garrett has those tools yet but again it doesn't mean that he can acquire them and it looks like he's on the track to acquire in those tools but one thing I will say I mean was Keishan really looked at as a leader. Maybe later in his career when he once he got to Carolina or maybe once he got to Dallas after he wasn't the guy but I think Garrett and Keishan probably had the same levels at their points in their career you know Keishan made headlines for the wrong reasons during this time with the jet. So I'm not really sure that he's the person that you know that could probably talk to Garrett about that maybe he's a do as I say not as I did guy right now I think at the end of the day it's not that big of a deal because you have two offensive captains and Joe. And Joe tipman I think it's more of a testament to him emerging as one of the guys that you want around here he signed an extension he's a guy you drafted developed and wants to be here that's a good thing and there's always the quarterback of your team no matter who it is that's going to be voted team captain Zach Wilson was a captain right that's just how it goes the quarterback is always the captain Justin fields.

He's a captain so I tell it goes I think the surprise for jet fans was wait Isaiah Williams was voted cap but he's the special teams captain so that's different people to see always a wide receiver what how's Garrett not and people don't realize the separate thing you got two offensive captains you have two defensive captain so Harrison Phillips and make a Fitzpatrick or I guess the rate of Mario Davis three you have of course Isaiah Williams representing special teams and then the two offensive captains yeah I think it makes sense and that's who you want and also Drake that's team MVP. I say it Williams so you know you guys should show some respect but yeah listen the fact that Jack Wilson who I thought was as immature as as it gets I even think that Zach was a little bit more mature than Geno during his first and I've forgotten some of the stuff that the Geno was that said and did when he was young so Zach Wilson was was a captain and Justin fields last year was a captain I think that you know I think we can all see that the captain see really doesn't mean as much as we do that's a good thing and I think that's a good thing that's really good to say that's a good thing. I think it's a good thing that the Geno was a good thing that the captain would like it to mean so you know like like this story and I understand a we cover the team this is what we do but you know sometimes it's a nothing burger and I kind of put that into the nothing burger bucket.

It is a signed football by Rex and Woody. Rex Ryan Woody Johnson signed football trying to manifest playoffs, right? Garrett Wilson says the jets are going to the playoffs. It's realistic to expect that. Now let's try and manifest it with a coach who led them there the last time they were in the playoffs and well still the same owner. So signed football by Rex and Woody up for grabs for anyone who enters gift the membership or send in a super chat, Zell or Venmo to qualify. When you do that, you will be entered in the weekly Raffle. We're targeting Friday for that when I land the Nashville Curtis Martin signed helmet to Rell Revis sign helmet and Kevin Moise signed helmet. All those jets went to the playoffs numerous times. So that is the daily in show Raffle prize. Shout out to Ozzy Follers. He gifted a membership Colin Wolford. He gifted a membership. ISU RB4L. He gifted a membership in total. Let's three entries. Hit it. Go, Jack. Go, Jack. Well, wait, there's more Mike Dems who won the signed helmet by the New York Sack exchange.

Mike, I got your email. I will respond with the info and when to expect your prize. He's in the Raffle for. Oh my God. That's right. You're much for supporting the show. Um, Ari, let's talk now about the game on Sunday. There's a lot of matchups I want to get your thoughts on as someone who really goes in depth on the Xs and O's. If you're game planning for the Tennessee Titans, if you're Glenn, if you're right, give us the breakdown and some of the things you're going to be looking to exploit to help the jets win a game. Yes, I'm going to be looking to exploit that linebacking core if I'm correct, right? And I'm going to be looking to explore the, um, exploit the aggressiveness of the front, the defensive line, right? So that means a lot of misdirection. That means quick screens, um, getting the defense, you know, stressing them horizontally as well too. So, uh, why receive the screens, uh, middle screens? So tight end screens. If we get any, if we, if they do feel that Kenyan City goes a full goal, I think that there should be some tight end middle screens. There should be a ton of that.

I would like to see some draws just using the aggressive, if it aggressiveness against them. So, hopefully Breeze Hall is going to be a full goal. I'm just, I might even spam the screen game, Jake. That's what I'm going to do as well too. And then we'll say try to, I was going to say, I saw Wilbarkin said, I had a great tweet. He tweeted out the, uh, Richie Andersen play in the playoff, one of those saying first play screen with Sadeek as the fullback. That'd be pretty sick of that was the opening play to work like that. My God. So, to be honest, I would attack that Robert Salis difference, the same way that offense is attacked when he was a jet-tag coach. Attack the seams with their linebackers. Again, Sadeek Gray isn't going to be playing. And even if he was, he was, you know, he's going to be terrible on coverage. Cody Barton isn't much better in coverage. Exploite Anthony Hill, Jr. You know, he's, he's a, he's super twitched up. He is, you know, dripping with tools. But again, use some of his aggressiveness against him. You know, do some play action. You know, look to isolate him with Mason Taylor in some seam action.

You know, just go, just attack that. And then if, you know, after you try to establish the run, I do think it's going to be pretty hard for the jets to run the ball, especially in the interior and sub packages because I think it's going to be John Franklin Myers and Jeffrey Simmons versus the jets interior. And I do give the edge to Tennessee. But after that, you know, after, after you try to establish a run, if they're giving you one on ones on the outside, you know, Robert Salis is going to be playing a lot of cover three. But if they show any type of man at all, I think you, absolutely can win on the outside with 80 mentioned versus caught out flat. And I take Gary Wilson over anybody in that secondary. So offensively, that's what I'm going to try to do to them. Use that aggressiveness against them. Screen game, a lot of misdirections and then attack the seams with your tight ends. So whether it's Mason Taylor, hopefully it's a dick and some jelani woods with some misdirection. Defensively, I mean, I'm just going to put pressure on, I'm going to put pressure on camwort. I'm going to make them one dimensional and I'm not going to be overly aggressive. I do think that they're going to be ready because Glennon, I believe he blitzed a corner

long and I talked about this last night. I believe he blitzed 48% at a time, right? So I wouldn't come out of the gate blitzing. I would see if you can get home with your four man pass rush, if you go into an even front with Wil McDonnell, uh, inning barry and, and obviously David Bailey. I would see if they could win those matchups without bringing simulated pressure. I would do my best to make them one dimensional. So that means to boundary sweat, I need a huge revenge game from you. Demario Davis, please do what you've always done. Make them one dimensional. Keep them in second and long and third and long and make them one dimension. And I think that that the Jets could handily stop this offense, handily stop this turn to see offense because if you force camwort to move the pocket, if you force him to have to get to a second and third read and make, you know, and have too much time or, you know, try to make decisions on the pressure. He's going to give you the ball. He's going to give you the ball. And it's not Shalana's he is a strip sack is there for the taken.

So that's what I would do defensively. Make them one dimension as possible. Keep them in second and long and third and long. Keep them far distance away from the sticks and then just be opportunistic once, you know, once camwort is forced to play, you know, within himself. What are your thoughts on Cedique and ponds in this game, both in positional drills yesterday, most notably ponds being a positional drills is new because he just hasn't practiced all summer. Glenn said on July 27th, he's got a calf strain. He's fine. And here we are. September 8th was the first day. He was actually out there in positional drills. Do we see ponds and Cedique playing this game on sunday, oh, Mari? I wouldn't play the angel of ponds. I wouldn't plan. I would just wait. Keep them on ice. I would like to have two, four weeks of practice before he plays his first NFL game. I don't know. I just feel like he hasn't had any NFL action. It's a calf. You're going to ask him to cover Wanda Robinson who's one of the better slots in the league.

It might be humid down in Nashville. I don't have. I don't know. It just seems like a recipe for disaster given two full weeks and then he can be full goal for the opener for Kenyans to deek. If he's going to play very limited, you know, very limited. So maybe a package of plays, maybe he only plays for 12 to 15 snaps. So that's that's kind of what I'm thinking. I hope we see a healthy ponds. But if he's out there week one, I'd be very nervous because I think if you're a rookie, you need practice time, man. Like there's a difference between being healthy and being able to actually contribute to an NFL team. I kid him played. He hasn't played. The Rams are not playing Aaron Donald tomorrow night. They're being cautious with him and he's, you know, going into the Hall of Fame on roller skates. So I'd be very careful with the angel of ponds. I want to win this game as bad as anyone. I get it. But it's not like Jarvis Brownlee's not a good player. I think he could fill in for a game. He's going to be extra juiced up and motivated against his old team. I pick up a personal foul penalty.

It was in the first five minutes of the game. But I think the Jets have enough to get by the Tennessee Titans in cam board. If they sit ponds for an extra week here, let him get all the practice reps and then play week two at home against Green Bay. Yeah, don't like, like we're being honest and I know that Tennessee fans are looking at the Jets is almost the same way we look at them. But don't you think they should be able to go down there and be able to handle that offense without the angel of ponds? I think that they should. And I think that if you're relying on a guy that's never played an NFL snap, I mean, he's the fifth-youth overall picker. It's not like you're going out there. It's not like they're missing David Bailey who's the second overall pick in the draft. The angel of ponds is a really good player, but he's a nickel player and he's also a rookie and there's going to be some acclimation that he needs to do, making the transition to the NFL. So I don't think that he is a must have the same thing with Kenu Sidiq. You would love to have him. He could be a match up nightmare. But again, I think you should be able to move the ball without Kenu Sidiq. I think that Mason Taylor, the combination of Mason Taylor, Jelani Woods, Jeremy Rucker,

Breeze Hall, Garrett and AD, that should be enough for you to put up some points and to look like a credible offense in this matchup. So that's just my feeling on it. You know who we've heard nothing about Isaiah Davis? I don't know if he's going to play on Sunday. I don't think he's going to play. I don't know how to have. I haven't heard any updates. It is the first injury report by the way. So the Jets are all today, but the first injury report will be coming out. It's out today at noon or something, right? Around that time. Yeah, I haven't heard anything about that. They worked out Jerome Ford. So that leads me to believe that they're pretty unsure about running back three. And then who are they going to be able to bring up from the practice squad, Al J. Henderson? So if Isaiah Davis can't go, you know, it's. It's not looking great. I think, and especially if Breeze isn't going to be 100% right? Do you think he's going to be 100%? I don't think anyone's 100% but he's probably going to be on a pitch count.

And I don't know if that pitch count is more than 15 total touches. 20 total touches maybe. So if you say Breeze is only going to get 15 total touches, that means Braille and Alan gets to what the other 15. I think Braille and Alan's going to play a pretty big role. If this is a close game, I think Braille and Alan plays a pretty big role. Okay. How do you feel about? How does that make you feel? I mean, he's Mr. July and August. It'd be nice to see it in September. Now we did have a big game against them in. Tennessee. In 2024. That's when the hype train started for Braille and Alan. And then he never really built on that. That really good game he had when the Jets went into Tennessee. And thanks to Will Lettuce and the Titans, basically pooping it up. The Jets were able to steal that one and not start going to. Yeah. Listen, it would be nice if the Jets had a lead and they were able to run the ball. And then as a defense, as that solid defense gets tied and the Jets start to lean around a little bit, then you can kind of just finish them off with Braille and Alan. I feel like that would be a great, that would be a great visual to see. Yeah. I don't know. Breeze only have been 15 touches.

You know, Max for Breeze scares me. And that means an increased workload for Braille and Alan's. But then what that also means to me is that they're going to lean heavily on Geno. And I think that for most of the season for this team to be great, I think that Geno should have to be more of a passenger for this team to be as efficient as we would like them to be. Comments, questions, super chats. They cut the line to PC Barrett checking in says, let's go Jets. I want to go to MetLife for the first time week, too, with a win in my pocket. Hi, OB and J.A. My guys, two piece. Appreciate you, my man. I hope you're rocking that. Uh, what you got to David Bailey Jersey, you won on the show, two piece. I forget it was Bailey or a different jet player. But I know you want to Jersey on the show. I hope you're rocking that week, too. I met life, appreciate your support. Weed the people with an update on Gorman. We'd said that Charles Gorman called out of work yesterday. He did not feel well. I'm reading some of the comments in the chat. Apparently Gorman will be back and hopefully better than ever.

On Friday, the next time he's scheduled to work, Amari, what is your take on Charles Gorman? Our favorite gas station attendant at a New Jersey rest stop calling out of work, because he wasn't feeling well. Well, listen, we got to get him. We got to build him back up. So hopefully he's on track to, you know, he's he's trending. Is that what? Uh, uh, Glynson, he's trending to be full goal on Friday. So hopefully we can get Charles Gorman back. We just got to get him, you know, in the training room and get him some treatments. So hopefully, uh, Mr. Charles can be back out there full goal. We need him. We got to get 100% full goal. Uh, no, no training wheels for Mr. Gorman. I do like that he's repping the Azmaniac community with the Fanny pack. I do enjoy and respect it. We need Gorman healthy. We need him to get back to work as soon as possible. All right. This one is from this one's from big countries in the Raffle for two. Thank you, big country. I'm pretty sure we're all see-hawks fans tonight. I hope the pads get blown out. What time does Glenn speak today?

He does not speak today. I'm worried about Breeze. Breeze, I think is playing Sunday. I just again, I don't think they're going to give him 30 touches coming up. Uh, uh, a groin strain. I think he's going to start. He'll be out there. I'll probably get the HB dive on first and tend to start the game because I could totally see old man, right? Calling that one up. And that's how, uh, we'll see Breeze make his 2026. Yeah. Oh, man, if the first play is just like a half-back dive right up the middle and just something, just like a duo up the middle or something like that, that will be a little disheartening. Let's just air it out. Let's just just do something. Oh, Bob and Eddie Mitchell. Yeah, just a bond, Eddie Mitchell. Who cares? Even if it's like the same Don or then it gets picked off. Just just treat it like a pun. Yeah, let's just do something different and just, you know, I just want to get the stink. I don't know about you. I just really want to get the stink off of last year and preseason just doesn't do it enough for me. And so that's where I'm at. Let's go bomb the Eddie Mitchell. Let's stress those overpaid corners that Tennessee brought in and see if Cardo Flot can chase

Eddie Mitchell around for an entire Sunday afternoon. Let's do that. Amen. Now, as far as the first part of his super chat here, how we're all see all of fans tonight, oh, without a doubt. And I'll tell you what price fix has something really cool for the game later. They're offering a special for Sam Darnold to have more than a half a passing guard. So if Sam completes a forward pass, you win. So just pick another player in the game later that you think will go more or less on their stat on their prop. And if that hits, you win. So I put together a Sam Darnold more than a half a passing guard and AJ Brown, more than 34 and a half receiving guards $10 to win $20. So I am watching this game rooting for our guy Sam as they hang the banner later. Hopefully to similar script to what happened the last time these two teams met and San Francisco at Santa Clara, of course, but if you're watching the game later, download the price fix F. Use my link in the description, sign up using the code HMA. You play your first five bucks and you're a lineup wins.

Get $150 in your account. So check that out if you're going to be watching the game later. Again, the Sam Darnold special is available for everyone on price fix. New York Marine checking in, gifting not one, not two, not three, not how about five channel memberships? Let's go. I am a New York chef. All right, always will be. Chats on three, one, two, three. Shout out to N.Y. Marine. He's in the raffle for five by gifting five memberships. Here are the listeners who received it. The grave digger, Italian connection. NYC Steve Bowls and Joe G and a parade 16 all receiving a gifted membership. If you tuned in late, we're doing three shows today. Well, I have this show now. I have a show with Jared Stillman who covers the fight at 4 p.m. I'm also doing Jared show. I have at the craziest day ever. I have this show now. I'm doing my weekly thing with Boyd Green at like 220. I'm doing Jared show on his YouTube channel at three.

He's been doing my show at four and the jets collective is at six. So I don't even know my own schedule. I even know what to do with my hands to quote. Robbie, but I am going to let everyone know that we are raffling away. A signed Rex Ryan and Woody Johnson football. If you tuned in late, we'll get the more of your calls. And by more, I mean, we'll get to your calls coming up. Amari, let's talk about the kicking situation. You on board would Blake groupy be in the guy he spoke yesterday for the first time. He's five seven. So when we see him on Sunday, it is going to be a fascinating dynamic watching him stand next to six foot, two, six foot, three and above NFL players out there. Yeah, I don't feel good about the kicking situation. Like those are one of the things. Those are my biggest concerns I talked about last night. So the kicking situation and the online depth. And it seems like the jets always get those. You always get a healthy online and good kicking in years where it doesn't matter. So I feel like if that's one thing that could potentially derail this season,

it's going to be the kicking situation and the offensive line depth. If that's challenged, but yeah, I don't feel good about that. But I feel a little bit better about groupy. I think he has a bigger leg than Jason Sanders. And Jason Sanders, he just never took the competition, you know, by the horn. So unfortunately, he lost that spot. But I don't feel good about it. Hopefully the jets score enough and this game doesn't come down to a kick because I wouldn't feel good about that. Well, the thing is they never even said that he's definitely their kicker, by the way. Like Glenn, when he spoke, he left it open ended for who the kicker is. I'd be shocked if it's not groupy, but the fact that it's even a conversation where Sanders could be in play brutal. And someone in the chat, let me give credit to who wrote it. It doesn't it. Yeah, Leon, it doesn't kind of wreak of Xavier Gibson part two. If they go with Sanders, he cost them the game. Like we all knew Gibson shouldn't been the returner last year. That cost him week one against Pittsburgh. Yeah. Yeah. So hopefully he's learned and you know, he's on the practice squad right now.

But to be honest, I think I would just go with groupy, unless he's been absolutely horrible in practice. But Jason Sanders didn't do anything to instill any confidence that he should be the kicker on this team. You want to hear from groupy? Let's do it. Here's the group. I started talking with the media yesterday. I think here just kind of. Yeah, it's definitely been a journey. You know, I put my best foot forward in Indy and, but I mean, the day I'm, come on. How do you not say, Hey, Pond intended, I put my best foot forward when I was in Indy. I'll be here all week. I'm blessed with the opportunity to be here looking forward to it and continuing to build with these guys and with this team. What did they tell you? I mean, great opportunity to have ahead of me, bringing me in for a reason and, and you know, just come in and keep your head down and get to work.

What was the competition like this summer in the air? Believe the players from the same school. Yeah, yeah, go. I mean, that was definitely. It's definitely an interesting summer. Spencer's one of my good buddies. I was part of his recruitment in another day and he followed me the year there. So, you know, couldn't ask for a better place and a better guy to do it against. And so, you know, it was great. It was it was a high level competition. You know, the end of the day, I'm here, but, you know, wouldn't have anywhere any other way. Any other fellow, these kids largely in goals, their home team. That way it has a reputation of the other place to kick what's your feeling about kicking that? Yeah. I mean, it was windy and indie on those practice fields too. I mean, don't be wrong. I played in another game. So we get snow games. We had wind games. You know, that's a part of it. I know I know we play it in that life, but that's how we prepare. You know, that's our edge. So they got to kick there too. How long does it take you to get comfortable with the snapper and the holder in the place?

Definitely takes time. You know, Austin and, and Haney have been great. Haney's been here for a long time. Austin, obviously they did it at a high level last year. So, you know, KMS for, you know, a better operation to come into. And it does take time. It does take reps, but that's what preparation is for. That's what this week's for. And so looking forward to continuing to work on. I have not. No, I've been in Nashville and I've seen it. But, you know, it's, it's another stadium when I get to check off the list. I'm excited to go there and show what I can do. I mean, it sounds like he's the kicker. Yeah. And I hope he hits his kicks. It's as simple as that. To be honest, just hit your extra points. And then hopefully the game is not it within reach to where we need a, you know, hopefully we were not. Crossing our fingers and holding, you know, holding hands and hoping that blade a break groupie game. When it feels about has to go through. So yeah, just keep it out. Listen, keep it out of Blake groupies. Hands or feet. Let's not rely on his leg.

He's listed at five foot seven, 156 pounds. So I could say I am taller and way more than an NFL kicker. Isn't that nuts? An NFL player, like he's got to probably, when he, when he goes to the bar and he's having a conversation with someone and they say, what do you do for a living? He's like, oh, I'm an NFL player. They probably laugh at him. They don't believe him. Yeah, they're not. You know, I wrestled at 160 in eighth grade. Really? Yes. I was a partly fellow. Yeah. So you got any footage of this? Rostab breakdown? No, dude, dude, I got a hope not. Nope. That was. Yeah, I was a short roton little fellow in eighth grade. I was a fire hydrant, man. No, I hope there's no footage. Shout out to Blake groupie, man. We need you. Yeah. Be good. Comments, questions, super chats. We'll hit some of your calls. The link is pinned in the comment section. You could pick a jet jersey instead. So dealers choice. You get the sign football or you could take a David Bailey jersey home with you or a Joe name with jersey. You pick jet legend or current jet will make it happen for you. Six, three, one says tank season. Not yet. They start all in four. I'm with you. Not yet. Let's start one and oh. Six, three, one can't wait, man. He's all he's he's he's he's fired up for college or she shouldn't assume it's a guy. But yeah, he's they are fired up for for college. Kaybrok says, let's go jets coming home. One and oh, let's go. Salah go cry in the corner. All right. Let's go. I hope Salah is crying in the corner. I hope so. I hope so. I have the have the cold gate commercial. Screenshots just linked weight at waiting waiting of the jets when you're firing that off. Yeah. Oh, what?

Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. That's genius. Genius. Well done. Jed, let's go. Big fella says just checked in for my flight to Nashville tomorrow. I'm jealous you're going to tomorrow, Big fella. raffle tickets applied for our upcoming Friday raffle. We the people says I don't like the height supremacy going on here. Hey, football is a big man's game, but it played group. We have five seven is an awesome kicker. I'll be the he'll be standing mighty tall amongst jet fans. If he's really good. Yeah. Yeah. We're not heights of pros here. We just acknowledging that our kicker is vertically challenged. That's all. That's right. Casimir says why don't Gary get recognized as a top receiver because he hasn't put up top receiver numbers and not his fault. His quarterback plays outside of, you know, partially the Rogers year in 24. But even that year, it's not like he was the one all year. They traded for Devon. They mid season still wasn't as best statistical year. But the reason why Garrett Wilson's not recognized as one of the game's top receivers is because he hasn't had that year where he has 1400 yards and 10 touchdowns. He's capable of it. And maybe this year, you could finally do it. Yeah. I think everyone recognizes the talent. But again, just as Jake said, he's been hamstrung. So it's kind of hard to put somebody in that, you know, elite tier.

If they haven't put it on paper yet or they haven't, you know, shown that on the field yet. But Garrett Wilson from a talent standpoint, everybody thinks he is a, I think in the AOC, Garrett is a top four receiver. I can't name four or five receivers better than Garrett Wilson in the AOC. And then when you, you know, extend the gap Wilson or AJ Brown. I'm taking Garrett. I'm just throwing it out there. Yeah. I think I'm going to take a big of AJ Brown. I didn't even think of AJ Brown. But yeah, I was, I would probably take outside of Jamar chase. Anyone else is an argument for me in the AFC. What do you think? Because I'm taking them over Zayflowers. And it's a conversation between AJ. And I'll say, I probably would take Garrett. Like if I think that AJ, if Garrett was with the Eagles, we would, we would view him a lot differently. So you have Jamar chase. You have Higgins. Okay. I'm taking him over to Higgins. Nico Collins. Maybe it's a discussion, but I'll give you, I'll give you Nico Collins.

And I'll give you Jamar chase. I take him over Waddle. I take him over. Same. Then same. I take him over DK. Yeah. Other fans would say we're nuts for saying that, but they're not watching the game. Like we are exactly. Yeah. That's a difference. And also in DK, sorry, but DK put up some good numbers with Geno. So I am going to see different skill sets, but I am looking forward to that. Who is any NFC? Yep. We're just talking AFC receivers. Rick Hens says can't wait for Nashville LFG. Go Jeff. Jeff fans get a little crazy. Yeah, we're getting nuts. All right. We're getting nuts. Gregory Jett says, love to see groupie line up for three field goals. And now I'm, well, I hope there's three extra points, but I see your point. Yeah. Damn. Just don't let go of the road. We would never. Omar Brown with me. We're going to get to your calls coming up. Today's Jake Asman show presented by Zip Recruiter. I've heard from some various sources that the Jets might have used Zip Recruiter to land on Blake groupie.

He was posting his kicking resume everywhere. And the Jets were like, wow, you're a qualified great candidate. We need you. And guess what? Blake groupie said, yes, please hire me. And that's how it all unfolded. Or at least that's what I'm going to tell myself. If you don't believe me, here's what you actually need to know about Zip Recruiter. Let's get to some calls. And if you want in the way to do so again, if you're new around here, as you click the link that is pinned in the live chat,

can only call into the show if we're live during said shows. Let's say a little to doc jet fan who's first this morning. Hello, doc. Hey, good morning, guys. Isn't it great that we can now spend two hours twice a day talking about observations rather than speculations? We can actually talk about real things now. Well, I'll tell you what, doc, enjoy it while we can because of this season spirals. All we're going to be speculating on is Glend's future, Mujie's future, the quarterback they're going to take. What the play it is going to be a lot of speculation. So I'm glad we have some current stuff for the meantime. Well, that leads me into what I wanted to talk about. And I want to try and convince people as to why tanking is utter horseshit. And it makes no sense on any level. Jake, I understand if they start out 0 and 7, you're not rooting for another win. Correct. But let me try at least in my own mind, explain exactly what you're rooting for if you're rooting for them to tank. The first thing you're rooting for is the rookies to fail. Either they're hurt or they're not as good as we thought they were.

But if all the rookies are good, you're really not in a tanking situation. And all these guys that people were so excited to draft back in April. Now all of a sudden, you're rooting for them to fail. The other thing you're rooting for is for foundational pieces like the membo's, like Garrett, like Breeze, that are signs of long-term contracts or semi-long-term contracts to not be any good or to underperform their contract. So that's the second thing you're rooting for when you root for teams to, for your team to tank. The third thing is you want to start all over again looking for a coach in a general matter. Let's start that process all over again. You know, the Mike Tannenbannes side, that has not worked very well. The fourth thing, you're taking a chance that the players who have been here in this culture for years, the Garrett, the Breeze, aren't going to want out. If they have another crappy season, like you said earlier in this show, is their patience going to wear out and want out? And the worst thing of all is you're rooting to get a higher pick to pick a quarterback

that you don't know is going to be better than a guy picked five picks later. It's an absurd argument. What are you doing? Like you can't just say, okay, let me waste another year of my life, let it be over, let them be 0 and 17 and have their pick. You're rooting for this team to be foundational, be foundation miserable for the next quarterback. Why would anybody want that? Maury, you get the weigh in first. I mean, I'm right there with you. I think that I really don't have any notes because I don't believe in tanking at all. I think it's a loser mentality, to be honest. And I think it's just from, but I get it because it's from fans that are frustrated. And they've, you know, this, we've watched the team win seven games before and not really make any marginal change now. Again, I just think, I think that you should win games. I think you should just try to, you know, build incrementally over last year. And I think last year was the absolute bottom. And I think you should just try to build on something and establish some sort of a foundation. So I mean, I'm with you.

You have three picks. I understand that people love to pick hard. And you know, we're in this mad and error where you can just send a season and then you can get exactly what you want, but life doesn't work that way. So if you, you have enough ammo to be able to, you know, pluck a veteran from somewhere else or to go move up to get the quarterback that you truly want. But a lot of the best quarterbacks in the league we're not even picking number one overall. So I'm right there with you, dog, Jetspan. I just can't get on board with tanking before we play a real game. And that's just me and I'm not going to change. Thank you. Great. Yeah. I look, I'm not a pro tanking by any means. I think there's context to when I would root for it. If it's very clear, we don't have the right head coach. If they're off to an abysmal start, I don't believe in the culture wins at the end of the year. I will root for the young guys to play well. But at the end of the day, it bleak groupies lining up to try and hit a game winning kick to beat the Arizona Cardinals late in the year. I'm not rooting for him to hit it, you know, like I think that's the difference. Like if we could redo last year all over again, I'm sorry, beating the Atlanta Falcons

did absolutely nothing to help the Jets. If Nick Volk, if we could go back and history and ask him to miss that kick. So Fernando Mendoza is our quarterback right now. You're lying to yourself if you're a jet fan saying you wouldn't switch it up. So again, how we root has no impact on things. I'm going into the year, hoping they're good. But if they're out of it, then I think it gets to a point like it was in 2020 where I understand not rooting for wins at that point. Hold on, Doc. Hold on, Doc, really quick. Do you think that the Jets are in an exponentially better position right now if Fernando Mendoza was the quarterback too of this team? I don't. Because first of all, for half the season, he probably wouldn't be playing either on the Jets or the team that he's on now. I mean, good thing. You know, there's no proof of concept to me about this coaching staff. So if you're asking would you be better than five years from now, they probably would be if Mendoza is what they think he is. But as far as this year's concern, no. I mean, the biggest, the biggest questions I have about the Jets that you probably have

about the Jets at this point has nothing to do with the 53 players. You know, it's the coaching. There's no proof of concept. Look, you know what, Glenn has handled himself completely differently this year. The players still sound like they have buy into him. I'm a guy who believes that coaches are born, you know, and then refined and polished up. But you either have it or you don't. Every coach I've worked with that have been good. You knew after a week of practice the way they dealt with players, the way they dealt with parents, the way they dealt with administrators, what they did on field. So you know, the biggest question we all have is with, you know, with the coach and the coaching staff. The staffs much better. I mean, do I think they're ahead of where they were last year? I sure hope so because last year wasn't a combination. It was an embarrassment. I think they had no right winning three games. I think the special teams won two of those games for them. I think they're even worse than we thought they were. They are.

And if you look at every metric, they were historically one of the worst teams in the last 30 years in pro football. Seriously, like the special teams was historically great. Every other aspect of the team was historically bad. The point differential in total, the first half differential, their division point differential. They broke an NFL record of losing by 23 or more five straight games. Everyone knows the interception one. They were awful, man. Like if you look at DVOA, which is a great metric that kind of measures a bunch of different stats to tell you how good your team actually is, they were one of like the worst five DVO teams ever. So they were closer to a one win team than a team that won three games, but they won the three games because of how good their special teams unit was. Exactly. And of course, we lose on a tiebreaker strength or schedule. That was really close. You know, it's 13 points. You didn't need to be a football genius to see the coaching was awful last year. The communication with the defense last year was abysmal. The way the jets started in the first quarter of games ended the first half.

One of the third quarters was abysmal. I mean, so I'm rooting for him to clean it all up. You know, we all have our doubts, but we'll see. But as far as tanking, look at, would you rather have the third pick in the draft, the third quarterback or the second quarterback with no team around them or would you rather have the eighth pick next year with, hey, those rookies are good. That offensive line is good. Oh, Lou took a step forward. A.G. seems to know what he's doing. I mean, come on. It's not even a choice. Yep. That's definitely the option. I think where the tanking thing is like where there needs to be context and nuance, it's like last game of the year, it's better to lose to that point. You're not changing your culture. 100% for the team. 100% for the bills in week 18. But I'm not going into the year rooting for losses. They start all in seven. Then that's a different conversation. But let's go into the year. Give yourself a chance. Every team but the Jets could take advantage of this stat that we've seen since 1990, at

least four teams make the playoffs every year. After they missed it the prior year, last year there were six teams that did it. So until the Jets are eliminated, like it's obvious they're going nowhere, I'm rooting for them the win. I hope Aaron Glenn learned from how bad he was a year ago and hired a better staff. And this team is actually worth a, you know what to discuss for four hours a day. I totally agree with you. Listen, I wish you all the best, best time this weekend. I'm sure it's going to be a hoot. Hopefully I'll catch up with you guys later in the year. Thanks for taking the call guys. Great call doc. John J Williams, I see you on Zell. He purchased two raffle. Just don't let go of the rope. John J men, Pat and now is no. He's like, all the everyday John. You're the man. Just consistent. I love it. Good. Gretel, Romano in the raffle for four says, thank you to Omari, fresh take every time he's here. How does he feel about our special teams coach, Chris Banjo? No cards before the horse, but are there, is there an upward path for him in the organization? Go Jets. I don't know about in the organization, but across the NFL, I mean, Chris Banjo is just

you look at him. He gets me fired up and usually I'm very, I'm very pessimistic with coach speak because I think it's a lot of, you know, empty words. Chris Banjo is his attention to detail, his intensity just screams of a future head coach. And that's why I was surprised that he wasn't in a part of the leadership. You know when they select play coaches around the league to, to, I think it's a fellowship for emerging coaches, he wasn't a part of that, which kind of surprised me, but I think that Chris Banjo, if he wants to, because I know that he's mentioned that coaches, they spend a lot of time at the facility. If he wants to be a head coach, I wouldn't shock me in three years that he's interviewing, or even sooner, two years that he's interviewing for a head coach in positions. Should he choose to go that route? Ladies and gentlemen, Omar E is with us. We'll get the more of your calls coming up. Super chats cut the line. The big fella says, major plus going to the game. Don't have to hear Spiro, Deedis and Adam Archer let a call the game. That alone is worth it.

Well, get used to Spiro, Deedis, chat fans. He's going to be calling a lot of Jack games with their titles. Yeah. Yeah, unfortunately, yes. Are you going to, are you going to get back into a play by play? I know you did it at Ithaca. Yeah, I haven't done it in years. I wasn't very good. I was okay for a college broadcaster at it, but I just knew. Like the grind and sacrifice you got to make to do it and go to do mind league baseball or freelance forever. I always just ventured towards more of the talk radio. Yeah, I got you. All right. All right. Cool. Interesting. Waxfax says 300 plus guys on and less than 10 likes come on. We're better than that. Are we do have more than 10 wax packs are at 127, but it's still a great point. We got 325 people on the room. Hit the thumbs up button, baby. Help our channel continue to grow. Signed football by Rex and Woody's the prize or a jet jersey of your choosing. If you don't want the sign ball, you could pick the player, whether it's name it's Kleco Curtis Martin Wayne Krabet to row. Revis Dick mangled Keeshawn or any current jet. You let me know and we send it to you.

Now last week, Omari, you were on the show when Beast Breaker got a live Mongero shot. So what will Beast do for an encore with you this week? Well, we will all find out today. What do you think of some kind of an oxymoron to you or something? Beast. We're right right now. I just got this. I just bought myself four. I'll check it. Yeah. Your audio is very static. He beast. And what else does everybody want? I talk. What do you want to check it? You're talking about a chicken chicken. Yeah. Are you at the supermarket buying chicken beast? I already got my chicken from one place. I got two buckets. The box. What a deal. The product. How does deal at a point? How do I go in yet? We just get started party. Just got started Jack.

Okay. If you thought yes, it was good. You better say it better. Think again. What do you want blood? What's what? I'm on fire mode. Yes, the entire mode. Okay. What do you make it? What are you having with the chicken beast? I don't worry. Don't worry. I got some ideas up my sleeve. I've been learning from Giovanni's Italian deli and also some good friends. I want a place that I know about. Now let's get a winner. What's on the agenda today, beast? We don't know yet. After yesterday's the buckle of all-how-how perfectly. P.O. that was? You're pretty enough. If you do, if you do, cut the shit you little shit. Who do you think you are? Get the fuck out of that bounce house. Ha ha ha ha. To me. Good job.

Beas will check back with you. Your audio was very difficult and somewhere speculating the night thought. Pat your phone again. I mentioned Gary Vee. He's coming to Nashville. He's actually sitting, I think a section or two over from where I'm sitting in 110 with Fire Met Ed and Lubey and everyone on Sunday. But Gary Vee's been on the show before. Big time entrepreneur. Huge jet fan wants to buy the jets one day. He took one of my tweets yesterday and warning. He's got quite the party about in this clip. So if you got kids around, want to give people a warning here. But here's Gary Vee talking about this game on Sunday, oh, Mari. It's a public service announcement. This is exactly right. We haven't fucking won our first game. Since some of you were even fucking born. We need this win. I'm just making a public service announcement that if we win this fucking game in Nashville. I'm going to lose my fucking mind. Who's ready for fucking football? I am, Gary. Now, I do want to make sure I point out that my tweets that the jets have it won a week one game on a Sunday.

They have two wins on week one since 2015. But they were both on Monday night football. Sam Darnold in Detroit 2018. Aaron Rogers against the bills for four plays on September 11th, 2023. So two wins in season openers since 2015. That is still a pathetic stat. So it's terrible. Can we win a damn game in week one and have some hope on a Sunday for once? Yeah. And when did like when did fans being fans of a team just turn into like you I want my sports take to be right over my team to win? Like when do like like when did this happen? When did this connect happen? Like we're fans at the end of the day. Like yes, we cover the team. This is your full time job. Hopefully in the future. This will be my full time gig. But when did you know us trying to be the pragmatic smart fan trump the team success? Like let's get back to like just watching sitting down being able to watch some competitive football. No one at your team has a chance and and just you know to be happy.

Yeah, the team making you happy. They were points with this team. And I think that's kind of where I started to shy away once I saw Aaron Rogers a killing snap right in front of my eyes. I think that's when the team really started you know affecting my mood and I had to like pull back. You know kind of like I had to pull back from fantasy football because I just got to I got a little crazy like as fireman Ed would say because I don't play fantasy anymore because I was doing seven leagues. I was commissioner three texting people and saying you know hey listen league do's are you know you do. Give me your do's you're weekly do's so I had to like pull back but now I'm back in Jake and I would like to see a win. I would like to see the players that we talk about all the time succeed alright I want the channel I want your channel to reach a hundred K I want mine to reach five K this season I want everything to grow and I want everything to be good yes I have on my green college Oakley's right now. But that's what I want you see the green behind me like I'm like it's it's week one it's week one for real footballs here let's just try to get a win man.

The Jeff fans get a little crazy damn right damn right we will. I like craziness going this weekend I'll tell you that much listen ten it Nashville fans are going to hate you guys if the jets win this so many jets fans going it's going to be I saw one guy say the jets fans are probably the most annoying. Fan base in the NFL we cannot let them win I want. I booked Mark so many Titans fans come on let's go let's go. 873 RSVPs to the event at Borestal Nashville this Saturday biggest event I have ever done the only thing close was I get a watch party for jets Niners which today is the two year anniversary of that one jets Niners T squared social we had 430 RSVPs for that at the watch party but that was for a game this is for an event in a different city the day before the game is being played. Yeah and this is you know and it's crazy that that the turn out in the excitement there because I think most of us think the ceiling for this team is anywhere from six to maybe eight wins so just imagine like once.

You know like imagine if we came into a year and we're like okay yeah the jets are going to be the class of the ASE. Like there'd be 1500 people at your event like you're going to have to have real security like you know like real security for yourself personal security and then security for the venue so I just think this fan bases absolutely psychotic in the best in the best way possible. Rick was at my event in London he thinks we had more at that one than the T squared Niners watch party we might have a right good to good point I don't remember exact number for that but that was crazy I too with wing for bad showed up with the Vernias Coles and T rich that was awesome. Oh nice so was that was that like the day of but that was a watch party but that was the night before yeah we were at the night drunk just you know yeah I was watching Yankees Royals game one it started at midnight London time I stayed me in like four or five people all the time. I'm not a guy people all Yankee jet fans we stayed up to like 3 30 in the morning watching that that playoff game.

Oh that's awesome and then got up at like 8 a.m. for the tailgate. I love it. I love it man yeah listen the enthusiasm's there man that the team just just has to give us something to you know be proud of and in the chair for so. Doc's given us something how about 10 of you becoming channel members doc jet fan in the raffle for 10. before I watch a show every day my wife is sick and tired of seeing all the jet content all the time it's it's like an addiction it's bad it's real bad hey we love football man that's just so depressing of being a jet fan like like football I think is the one sport where you could tell me it's you know a random football game that features green Bay and Pittsburgh and we're like wow that's an amazing game if I told you it was Milwaukee the brewers taken on the Pittsburgh Pirates you wouldn't pay attention to that but like the bulls king where all we all have our fantasy teams are all betting on stuff survivor pools you know it's like we just want the jets to not be irrelevant by the end of the first month of the year we wait all year for this and like to start oh and seven last year and really they lost a Miami and fell to oh and four like it was September 28th like this yeah they can even get through September last year oh yeah oh yeah it's it's rough but you know like like every all the content creators saying oh we got to do the screen game we got to you know get around the edges and dude solid was bad he was bad in the

and that and so if we can capitalize and hopefully old man right as Omar he stood Omar did you say that today old man right no that Jake did Jake say old man right right the middle I said yeah the half back side to breeze hall I'm back here we go I'm sick of those I'm sick of those runs you know what's coming first to 10 here we go Geno smith's back my first play the the half back dive to breeze hall for one yard oh Jeff footballs back baby disgusting don't even put that out there that's disgusting like in honestly in the preseason to see like just to see Geno's like little bit that we got to see it felt refreshing like it felt different I don't know how you guys felt like it didn't feel like we were just doing up the middle runs and and hoping for the best it felt like we were spreading the ball out that we were going wide that we weren't just running it up the middle and hoping oh man maybe breeze will break it like no it was it was it was it was it was good no it was it was it was good it was it was it was it was it looked good they looked good but also Justin feels looked good in his you know one preseason drive as well too so again again I I know what you say I know what you say but yeah what is that

this could be anything folks you help fuel my my disillusion in jets Justin fields last year after that whole preseason situation and you're like we're like oh well maybe just maybe Justin feels will be okay and I won this off of your little channel there on not your little channel you got a huge channel make sure I won your oh no you want a field tell me life I want to feel tell me man absolute trash that's tough I appreciate it though you know well Sean I'll tell you what you mean email and since Justin fields caused you a ton of pain I have about 10 pain hats left I will send you a pain hats to try and give you something to make up for having to win a field tell me and get the worst possible season from a a jet quarterback maybe ever see you send me your address and your t-shirt size and you tell me if you want a hat or a shirt from my

whatever we doing celebrating like like come on man the energy is here now we just got to see what what Glenn's talking about with all the coaching with all the the new coaches on the team the new acquisitions man with the talent that we already had on the team what what more do we want like they got they got to put it together man one week one Jake's been saying it man I've been yo right right by his side it's a must win yo if you're not saying must win what are you even talking about this is a x-head coach x-jet players if y'all don't think this is a must win than what is come yo come on yo the fan base amount of amount of jet fans that are gonna be at this game the amount of jet fans watching don't we write back in our prime time one o'clock no one does want a clock like us nobody we got that clock on lock for the whole year nobody does want to clock games

like us get get the game over with and then enjoy the rest of the Sundays but hopefully man hopefully we get it right man we got a lot of invested man Jake marry you guys got your content creating shows man Jake you you big time you're doing yo you make money out for this like we gotta see the wins and the production man on the field marry what do you think is gonna be a close game blowout for you man I have it 24 what was it I think my 24 to 14 that that's why I have I think the jets can win I think they can get up to a quick start and punch them in the mouth you know like the like they have a new they have a new offense that they have to learn with a young quarterback right so I think that offense is a vulnerable early on and I think that the jets have an opportunity they have an advantage in most of the areas I think they have the advantage in most of the premium spots and I think that that's a start but players are gonna have to show up plays the the jets

account and are gonna have to show up 80 mitches gonna have to win his matchup David Bailey and Wilma Goddard have to win their matchups you know like it's just it's just what it is AZ Thomas he's gonna have to you know hopefully he can hold his own against the number four overall pick you know and even if he's gonna lose that Brandon Stevens has to win the Calvin Ridley matchup guys have to win the matchup you know geno smith can't turn the ball over our our dudes need to be dudes that's it Hey man win football games that's all I care about now chef Kevin you bring up the point about the must win I've been saying it here's why it's a must win because if you lose week one well then week two is a must win so which game is more winable week one or week two which game everyone knows this week one you lose week two then you're going on the road to take on the lions and the bears good luck you're on four so you tell me which games more winable what's more conceivable that's why you got to win on Sunday yeah it's the way to take them oh no

chef Kevin sounds oh yeah the nightbot took over there I am nightbots I am watching you storm rocks eight seven seven you will be punished and removed from the chat if you continue your douchebaggery flappy tits go to hell and you can show good chicken beast really having some tough connection today tough real tough keep it rolling with your calls ladies and gentlemen this man will be in Nashville I am sitting in the same section as him and there's multiple reports saying he has agreed to hump a jersey at the tailgate to ensure jet victory on Sunday it's kneel oh this is what I'm going to do to you all see his little bitches oh

morning guys how are you oh oh this is what I'm going to do to you all see his little bitches hello Neil ready to hump baby ready to hump I'm going to hump the whole stadium I'm going to be so excited guys I can't tell you how excited I am this is like oh no I can't get enough jet don't give me the old knowledge you're excited I'm worried this is going to be painful oh Jesus Christ could we stop that already I think you're going to win too I'm just saying when you when you're very confident at least since I'm known you Neil it hasn't gone very well for the jets well I was not confident last year as you know Jake I smelled for just like you did I mean could I could I have been any more negative on Justin Fields when I couldn't even get his name out of my mouth I was so pissed off you were very very upset that's right and right now I'm back did you watch the one-church drive Gino documentary guys I haven't watched it I gotta tell you

something Jake you watched that and you're gonna be like thinking this guy's the second coming of Jesus Christ this is why they do it though this is why you can't get sucked into the stuff yeah know what you know what I didn't realize do you know when he was with West Virginia he was in the orange bowl and he was a heavy underdog against Clemson do you know how many points he scored in that game how many 70 70 oh holy shit 70 burger baby I only want half a 70 I don't want 70 I don't want to embarrass the ball bastard too much I'll take 35 thank you very much ball bastard that ball son of a gun I can't stand sour I hate him what a passion and dable I want him slamming his headphones and cursing and everything else guys it's very simple tight ends get the tight ends in the middle of the field you might see a marie Cooper make a couple of plays in the zone I

want to see Siddeak run over Tony Adams on the way to the end zone we don't need a field goal kicker because he will only need to kick extra points I'm pretty important yeah for extra points not for field goals because we're gonna score touchdowns Jake we're gonna score touchdowns my friend so what's the score Neil how many points of the jets winning by Jake we're gonna have two touchdowns in our first three possessions then we're going to have an a late possible touchdown before half time by half time we're gonna be in a little area little bees getting us and the party is going to start right there I'm telling you I do not I'm telling you it's in my mind's eye Jake it's there nobody expects it this is just what we like want to claw games Jake the last time we made a playoff who was the quarterback Ryan Fitzmagic right they didn't make the playoffs well they didn't

make the playoffs okay I'm at 10 wins I'm sorry okay is Geno Smith Ryan Fitzmagic well he I think he's better than Ryan Fitzpatrick to be honest with it Ryan Fitzpatrick was a backup when he started that season right Geno was the starter correct he tore as a killies now Geno was getting punched in the face by his own team yes right right right that when did he ruptured was next year he tore his eyes he's more yeah he tore his ACL the next year after Fitzpatrick came back and turned in the Fitz tragic okay look Fitzpatrick was not did not have high expectations when he came to the team and look what happened Vinnie my boy test of Erdi had a lot of interceptions the year before he came to the Jets and took us to the championship game this close he he look you could argue be set argue you can make an argument he had a better game than L way in that championship game statistically he did okay and that was not the reason we lost was not test of Erdi's fault

but I have not been this excited in a very very long time Jake you're gonna see an absolute animal you haven't seen me be an animal because it only took four place for my gas to run out so yeah but the next year I saw you as an animal I'm not like this is what I'm gonna do to you all see the little bitches that wasn't animal like that was a little bit that was about 50% you're gonna see 100% 100% Jake let's go let's go Jake I've made all 13 of my points before you cut me off again I'm gonna throw myself out this goddamn window animal Neil I can't wait to see the all I'm so excited I'm pumped up man I hope you guys take lots of videos man and I can't wait for the first as many I tell gay man it's gonna be a lot

it's gonna be a season of first for me for a lot of things so I'm excited whether they win or lose man whether they win or lose it's gonna be a lot of fun you want energy you want passion ladies gentlemen one final call with Omar I'll stay on for the rest it's time to hear from the king museum oh brother of my ring of breath. It's always good to see you brothers on the first day of the season, baby. We got football back. It's football time, baby. Oh, I'm excited. This is the season. We go and prove we can make some noise in this damn lead, baby. Let me tell you something, man.

I heard no call, baby. I can't wait to see all of my as many as people, all of my as many as brothers and full-possessed sisters. I can't wait to see y'all. Call it all y'all. Love all y'all. And tell it up with y'all, baby. Cause it's going down. Let me tell y'all something, man. Okay, this ain't going to be complicated. This ain't going to be all the hoopla and woo-wa of all of the complications of this offense. Let me tell y'all something. We can make it real simple for Gino. We can make it real simple for Breast Hall if we open up the halls for. Okay, we can make it real simple. Forget it. Wilson, a married couple. All right, a D missile. We can make it real simple for these boys. If Gino just don't turn the damn ball over and go arrogant, don't call it boneheaded blades. Okay, this ain't going to be complicated.

People, the Tennessee tanks is strange. Okay, we're going to let her noise from our cold-gate salad. All right, make it all up there. Commercials, look at stupid. All right, we don't have all that noise. He want to be our ass. Okay, cool. We got to ask what the fuck you son. All right, and then I'm going to be built to ask this time. It's going to be switched to ass. It's going to be a static or to ass. You and me. We have pair with these damn Titans. Okay, they better tighten up. All right, because at the end of the day, baby, we go jettin' up. So, hey, I'm not trying to hear all of the damn people and all of the people talking about tape and all of that. Y'all could go kick rats and go trip on the corner of your bed. And I hope you stop your dope. Okay, because we're trying to hit it and then we're getting another damn season. And ain't a gay, been preachin'. All right, so quit with all the damn it.

All right, we are here to make a statement that we can win in this damn league. I don't care what nobody says. All of the analytics and all of that is out the window. They got to put on their pants and we got to move men against a wheel. That's the bottom line. And we better have at least 150 to 170 yards on the ground because we can do it. We can move men against a wheel. Don't tell me we don't have a tough office of life in the damn league. Don't tell me that, man, because we can do it. Amen. All we're gonna do is keep Jeno serviceable. Let him let him hit his mistakes. And we're gonna make a lot of noise. I believe in his defense. The secondary is a little suspect because they yell.

Only because they're young. But when we when we go face Patrick and all of them boys get that together, it could be special. So, hey, all of my jet fans, all of my ass maniacs, this Saturday it is going down. I'm gonna be pulling up around 12 or something. So, you know, I'm gonna get there early, Jake. I got to get there early to meet the people because I know it's going to be loud in there. And I know it's going to be a lot of people to meet. But I will see all of the ass maniacs, all of my jet fans Saturday, baby. I'm pulling up. The king is gonna be there. Beat me there. Don't meet me there. And you already know what it's about, baby. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. Saisins officially back when we get the annual king Lowsky hype call. Let's go.

That, that was something. That was something. No filler words. Nothing. No notes. Bravo. Shout out to King Lowsky. Unbelievable. What a show. Oh, Mari. You're the man. Looking forward to doing this when the games are actually counting in the standings. You joined us in the off season. We finally made it to the regular season. Man, so hopefully the next time you're on this show, we're talking about the Jets being in first place. That's right. And undefeated. I want to know to start here. There we go. Let's see. It's only delusion until it actually works. So let's go. Go Jets. Go Jets. Go subscribe to all Mari's YouTube channel. Check out his work with Jets. Nick Shine says, I just got a text from bones. He wanted to ask if he's the only one erect after that. Go see a doctor. Because I think it's going to be lasting for more than four hours after that one. Ralphie wants to know when can I donate to the church of Lowsky.

Papa Jets says the king would make an awesome preacher minus the F. George says, please make a sure of King Lowsky's rant. I might get my guy Sean or Kevin on that. hype up the fan base. Let's go. Spencer Green says King low skis, like Bluetooth go on. Want a show? What a community? Jet football, baby. Enjoy the optimism. I hope we get it for a couple weeks. This year last year was such a disgrace. such a disgrace. Ladies and gentlemen, more of your calls. And again, we're doing three shows today. The Jet Collective is at 6 p.m. on going live at 4 p.m. for a shorter afternoon show. Make sure you get your raffle entries in for the signed football by Rex and Woody Johnson. Let's say hello right now to Nate parentheses. Nate on the bike alone.

Hey, how are you, Jake? What's going on? I don't have all my audio set up, so I'll be quick. Um, I was going to ask a Mario question, but I'll ask them both to you instead. What I know you and Nick shine. We're talking about Geno Smith possibly getting 4,000 yards and people thought that was the craziest thing. What do you think the odds on your local, um, I know you don't use a sport book anymore, but what do you think the odds on 4,000 yards for Geno is? Uh, I did you happen to know them because I don't know. I'm asking that out of the top of your head. What would you think they are? And it'd be like a plus or a minus type of thing? Yeah, yeah, like, you know, things that's not very likely. Nick shine thinks it's not very likely and or he thinks it's possible. Most people think it's not likely. Yeah, he's predicting it actually. I would say plus. Plus 600. All right, so let me give you these two because it's moved a lot in the last 48 hours ever since I showed like let me go look at it. And then I decided to place a bet. Two days ago, it was at plus 2200.

Oh, wow. The third least likely in the league outside of. I forget who like two guys that are not going to play at all. It was plus 2200 and then it moves plus 19 plus 15. Now it's that plus 11 hunt. So it's literally been sliced in half. So I don't know if jet fans are just betting it like crazy or someone in Vegas believes, but that line moved from plus 2200. Third least likely in the league to throw for 4,000 yards. I'm like, like, I'm saying like it's not like it's never happened. He's thrown for 4,000 yards a couple of times and in the last couple of years. So interesting. Just an interesting. I just saw all of a sudden you guys had that show. It was I've decided to look it up and it just got sliced in half in the last 48 hours. Second question. That is interesting. The offence. Salah, no one that we're going to see. Salah, who would you think has the advantage? And I know it's not the same coaching staff, the same anything, but there are it's competitors on a football field. There are going to be. I mean, dude, he has half of our old roster, right?

So who's going to have the advantage on is it Salah's defense or is it? I guess in my head and maybe it's because I'm a jet fan wanting to see everything in green, but Salah very stubborn. He wants to play the best cover three, cover six on the league. We know how he plays. Maybe he'll go to man on third down, but he's very predictable on how he plays. And I remember like, you know, Flacco talking about this and the Browns jet scheme with the two touchdowns come back where him and Garrett made eye contact. They knew the defense and they knew they would be a touchdown. You know what I'm saying? How much of that would Garrett and this offence where they're probably talking a lot this week of Frank Reich about when we see this look on third and sixth. You know what I'm saying? But we know we can have a first down doing X, Y or Z on my office. No, I think you're on to something. And then I'm going to let you just echo now all the sudden with your audio. I don't have the answer to your question because I think Salah to this point is a better head coach than Aaron Glenn.

And I don't think Salah is a good head coach. But I also think Salah is really bad when he has a lot of time to prepare. He's bad in the first half of games. I don't think he's very good. In week ones. Glenn to his credit, the Jets were ready to go last year against the Steelers. They lost that game because of Glenn's decision, despite us all knowing it was the wrong one to keep Xavier Gibson on the team and. Brandon Stevens dropped the pick six against Rogers Michael Carter had a dropped interception in that one. So the Jets were ready to play at least in week one. I think what happened was they lost that game. It was like, oh, I'm more of a big three Monday. And then they just rested on their laurels and got spanked by the bills who went to work on the Jets game film. Now that there was film available on what a Glenn and. Angstrand coach team looks like or Wilkes coach team looks like. And then that was it.

I think the Jets are the better roster. So I would lean Jets, but it's more so about the coordinator matchups, right? It's really Glenn versus. Dable. And it's right. Versailles. Like that's more so the matchups here. Now Frank Reich's offense destroyed the Jets in 2021. But Salah's team that year, they were bad defensively. That was the year before they added sauce and Jermaine Johnson and some of the moves and free agency. And they went from like 31 or 32 in defense to top three, top four in most categories. So I don't actually know the answer to that question. Nate, I think it's, it's tough. I'll be positive and the quote you put the green goggles on and I'll say the Jets. But I don't know. I think one thing's for sure the Jets were so bad at the beginning of games last year. And that's what Salah's MO we saw when he was the Jets coach.

Can the Jets get an early lead? Let the jet fan really get loud in that building. Put some pressure on cam board and Salah. You are the Titans going to have some communication issues without their starting linebacker. Who got hurt now, you TV accident. Right. And was there green dot for Salah's defense? Like I think it's a big deal that said you're great is probably not playing Sunday. I think it's a big deal. But I'm not going to be as confident as some are predicting a jet blow out. I hope it is. That'd be awesome. And why Marine says Jake I just moved from Nashville a couple years ago. Nashville's not a football town. They live for the predators. If we hammer ass like I think we can that stadium will be 90% green by halftime. I love the confidence that this fan base has that the Jets are just going to steam roll the Titans.

The Jets never win the revenge game. So they have to overcome history to do it. And I hope they do. The confidence that some in this fan base have is amazing. Again, you know, you want to know how the Jets steam roll the Titans though? It's like a damn breaking when they get an interception. I like that's the start of a defensive performance where they make camwards life. A nightmare. Glenn superpower shine. Immediately play cards my superpower really. But that's what you need. My confident in this not necessarily, but I hope it happens. I'm not going to national to watch an L. All right, couple of you are still on hold. Certainly appreciate it. We're going to hit a quick break. Come back, get to your remaining calls. And then we will of course be back for two more shows today. My channel at four collective at six. We are coming right back after these very, very short words.

Hit it. You guys hear me? Can you guys hear me? Honestly, can you guys hear me? Hey, punch the bag. Oh, no, oh, no, oh, no. Get Gary off here. Get Gary on here. Gary, hold it. We are evaluating these punches. What is this? Bad Max, what are you doing, bro? About it. You look like a single winging your fists around. That's terrible. You guys stay like this. Yeah. Get up. Get up. Let's get the punch to say it, Beast. You got to put it in both four. If you throw it like it, it's a four word. Yeah, bro, you can't swing sideways. Dude, you're going to get knocked out. You got to tuck your chin in. Got to have your fists here. When you throw a punch, you twist. You come back. Is it? And every time you throw a punch, you're coming back because you want to protect your jaw with the other hand.

I'm saying this is this is no good. Got to tuck that chin in and you lean forward. I'm saying. Let's see. Nice. E, C, F, J, F. One of the greatest segments of the history of the show. The way Max reacts if he gets into a fight with anyone at the moment. He's making sure I'm going to shoulders and then with like this, that Max rules and to the studio. Can you hear me? Yo, can you hear me? What's up? Oh, man. Good job. Good job. Yo, can you hear me? Can you hear me? It's coaching. We've got penalty improvement. We're in the ball good in garbage time. No field goals block. We cut our team MVP, traded away two of our best players. We have Charles London and several moral victories. Fired my DC, 2026. Here we come.

Don't let go of the rope. I need another hug from Woody. We're built for shit. Hi, everybody. Look at me today. We ain't shaving a ticco shower. After Bobby expressed interest in talking to his friend Ariel of olive oil sports, there was a heightened skepticism of his true intentions. Well, Bobby midnight, he was hoping that he'd talk there. Why does he want to talk to her? He's a big fan of her work. That's why he wants to talk to her. Are you saying Bobby midnight is a horn dog? Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. Once you remove the idea that you want to have sex with them, most women don't really have anything interesting to say. And that's not a side of Ariel or any one in particular. It's just a... Here we go. Observation. Here we go. Once you take sex out of it, they don't really have that much... That's interesting to say. And especially if they're like an eight or above, they're useless. Because they've never had to be interesting. Because everything that God in their life is based solely on one thing. There's sex appeal. Ariel's my friend. She likes me. I'm not gonna jump her bones like you think. Oh, I don't got it.

When it's 12 to people, they have low ID. I just wanted to say hi to her. Not that I wanted to jump her bones, okay? She's very talk to butt, so I don't want to fucking jump her bones, okay? I certainly don't think that's true. Yeah. You have no idea why you're upset. Because you said I wanted to jump her bones, you asshole. I don't even use the term jump her bones. I've never even... I've never used that. You know... I'm a... Yeah. And then why did you jump upon your ass? Oh well. This is what he failed state looks like. This is why I can't... The package is to where they're supposed to go. They can't do it. I can't believe this is a fail. This is what God knows is what's going on. It's a fail state. I'm a... I'm a... I'm a... I'm a... Yeah. I'm a... I'm a... I wanted to jump upon your ass. I wanted to jump upon your ass. Oh well.

She's very attractive. I wanted to jump upon your ass. I wanted to jump upon your ass. I wanted to jump upon your ass. And we're back. What a moment in time. Ladies and gentlemen, I believe our closer could be on the line unless someone else calls in last chance to be part of the show. Again, we're back at 4 today.

So a lot of content coming your way plus the collective tonight. Unless anyone else calls in, the closer is here. Extraordinary. Extraordinary. That's extraordinary. That's extraordinary. That's extraordinary. That's extraordinary. It's quite extraordinary. Quite say, in a way, when you shouldn't vote. Just do laundry and vacuum. Extraordinary. Extraordinary. That is a good... That is a good closer anthem. It's right up there with Timmy Trumpets and... And Andrew Sandman. It's... It's... Top not. Closing song. I think... Now we can hear you. Thanks for talking to your microphone. Yeah. That's top not... That's a top not as close as song. That's right up there with Timmy Trumpets and Andrew Sandman. I think people... Frank Peabye, by the way, already a very hostile with you Gary, says this dumbass. I mean, these are losers in life. Right? I mean, these are just... These aren't the good peoples of the earth. These are...

These are low tier... You're saying Frank's not a good person? Correct. Anyone who comes up with thoughts consulting people out of the clear blue is a loser. It's a loser. Like, that's... Frank is a great guy. By what standard? It just sees very supportive of people in the community. He's always engaging in the chat. Very nice to people. Clear. That's nice to people. He doesn't seem to like you. That's nice to people. I'd hate to see what's rude to people. I don't know if I'm talking to you or something. We have a different standard of being polite to people, but I don't think anyone would consider that polite. Anywho. That clip you played? Well, were you going P? Is that what you had to do? Tell us about that. Yes, so I had to drain the loser that he said. But I was back after like a minute and a half. I just figured, you know what? Let's let the whole thing play. That's a great clip. That's a great clip. That's good work for me. Get new viewers all the time. I want them to get a little feel for what the show is like. Yeah. But besides that, you can tell it's...

The season's on. You're getting kneeled cold. You get the king cold. You got Nate cold. You got all the big guns. Calling in. It's go time. And I'm not... I'm going to be optimistic. But I don't really understand that the Jets fans here who think they're just going to steamroll the Titans and that we have a better roster than the Titans. Are you sure we have a better roster than the Titans? So I think they do, but it's not like... It's not where we're talking about like comparing the other rans to the dolphins. Like the way people talk about the Jets is steamrolling Tennessee. I'd be very surprised if it's a bloodbath. Who do you think is better? I'm not trying to pallet or breeze hole. I think breezes they better run him back. Probably, but it's closed. They have better receivers. Right? Like it's really... Our roster's not much better than theirs. It's better receivers. Call it Ridley. Ridley and Wendell Robinson. I would say... You know, I'm not going to be optimistic. But we have better receivers. I'm not going to be... I think it's... She wants Nate.

You could say it's closed. I think the Jets have better tight ends. They get gunner, how am I? I got a bias. What's gunner, how am I? But the Jets tie ends are better for sure. Better offensive line. I think the Jets have it. I don't really know much about the tight ends. But the Jets have it. The one is good. So... Alright. And then... Defense. I mean, I think the Jets have a better defense. Talent wise. Yeah, they do. Now, Salah is a better defensive coach than anyone. If Salah and Glenn both got fired as head coach today. Salah is getting a DC job and fired at it. I'm going to DC. Glenn the part. Yeah. Exactly. Um... But... I want to give a shout out to Neil too. That was a great call by Neil. Well, you guys are arguing about Sanders and Blake Groopie. Neil made the good point. We're going to score touchdowns. You know what's cool? The kicking field goals. Jake, you know what's cool? The kicking a 60-yard field goal? Scoring a touchdown. What's that? Alright, so... I'm not worried about Blake Groopie or Jason Sanders. If you're worried about kicking 60-yard field goals. You got bigger problems. Alright, we need touchdowns.

You can kick all the field goals you want. You're going to gain it because you kicked a bunch of field goals. Score touchdowns. Touchdowns. That's the word for the week. Touchdowns. Um... It's... And then Nate bought up the plus 2,200... ...4,000 yards for it. Do you know? Do you know what this respectful that is? He's done it twice the last four years. And 11- I'm not even 100 is even a lot. I said plus six or 700. I was going to say plus four. He's done it two years of the last four. Do you know what percent chance that equates to a plus 2,200? I do not. 4.3 percent. So they're saying he's a 4.3 percent chance. He does what he's done two of the last four years. It's not even like... I would bet that too. That's straight disrespectful to Geno Smith. Plus 2,200. I know he said it came down to plus 1,100. But you're still looking at about a 9 percent chance. That's crazy. That's crazy. Well, it's what he does it. It's going to have to play at least 16 games.

Well, that's the thing though. I think a lot of people have built into the line for any Geno prop. The jets aren't going to be good. They're win totals five and a half. So you're going to see K-club and a play at the end of the year if the jets are out of it. So Geno might not get enough games started to be able to eclipse that number. That's all built into the into the line. That's true. But on the other side of that, you'd also look at it as saying the jets don't have a backup quarterback. So Geno Smith has to play all the games that he's healthy. I mean, it's not another way to look at it. Just don't have a real number 2. They have a fourth round pick as their number 2. They don't... You know what I'm saying? So the guess is, the thought wouldn't the thought pattern be that he's going to start all of the games this season that they're going with Geno Smith throughout the season because they don't really have a number 2. I mean, he is their number 2 though. And he's a young player. They drafted and traded up for where he will play at the end of the year. Yeah. I mean, you think the rest of the NFL world looks out like that?

To me, I'm a jet fan, so I'm a little bit more on the inside. And I think they like cade more than people think. But if I'm like, if this was another team, if another team had a quality NFL quarterback and their only backup quarterback was a fourth round draft pick, you would say they have a lot of faith in that starting quarterback a lot. Well, yes. But guys get hurt and you make changes at quarterback when you're out of it, especially if you have a young quarterback, you drafted and want to get an evaluation on. Like, that's what happens. I remember Bryce Petty played at the end of a jet season. I had some hopes for my own club. I knew he made the switch to get sit down Chad when he was healthy in 07 to give Kevin Clemens a look. This is what teams do at the end of the year. Alan Clemens had abilities. Couldn't put it all together. Like that. It didn't work out. Yeah. It didn't work out, but he had ability. And like, Bryce Petty, I love Bryce Petty. And he's still my sister and I went to Bella. And she works there in like student activities, like she plans activities. And she said he's there all the time.

Bryce Petty's still hanging out at Bella. But I'm trying to be optimistic. I'm just really not seeing it. So I'm going to say the jets are going to win, but I have like 0% confidence in that. I think both of my seasons are on the line this week. And I think I'm going to go 0 and 2, but I'm going to pick 2 and 0. I think both my teams are going to lose, but I'm going to try to be optimistic. Would you rather Texas win or the jets win if you can only have one victory? The jet season is more important to me. Right? But I feel like the long horse has to win more than the jets. The jet season is definitely more. Like if you say Gary, one team is going to win the Super Bowl. Or one team is going to win the championship. The other team is going to miss the playoffs. I'd pick the jets. But like, Kyle's football eats losses way more important. You can only lose 2. I guess I'd pick the long horse. The long horse is tough. They have like six games against top 11 teams. They're not going to win all those games. They have the hardest schedule in the history of Kyle's football. The history of Kyle's football, the longest

I have the toughest schedule this year. Give me the jets win because I don't think the long horse is going to lose like four of those games. So I don't even think it's going to give me the jets. If the jets are one and all, like we got a shot, I'll take a jets win. Wow. Yeah. All right. He's a gentleman. That answer surprised me. I was going to say long horse, but I thought about it. Like, they still have to go through LSU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma. They're not running through all those games. They're not finishing. Like, if they make the playoffs, Arch had an incredible season these winning the highest. I don't see any other way that the long ones make the playoffs. And at the jets lose week one, it's perfect symmetry. We're going to be marching for Arch, baby. Women need to vacuum and shouldn't be allowed to vote. You're a lady. You can do it. You can do it. You think? Oh, yeah. Ted says we need an Ohio State Texas meetup, Sarah. I tell you, you coming to Nashville? I didn't realize if you are coming to Nashville, I had no clue until now. I hope you are. We'll be great to see Ted.

You never call it. You never call into the show anymore. You're always active in the chat, though, which I appreciate. But I missed the days when you would call in. And we'd make fun of you for wearing that fucking year sweatshirt. Ted will be there outstanding. We'll definitely be somewhere for that game. Who knows, we're going to still be at Barstle, Nashville. We'll be partyin' all day. They have TVs there to huge bar. So we will definitely be watching Ohio State Texas at the huge game. And what time is the Oklahoma Michigan game? By the way, I am rooting so hard for Oklahoma. I had to Michigan just stole that game last week. I said that was the end of the show as far as callers, but you know what? We got a couple more people. So let's make it quick because we got a lot to do today. So Ron and then Mike Drop will be next. What's up, Ron? Hey, Jake. Just called to check in and keep thinking about the game. Salah wants this game so badly. He does. He imagined him going to the press conference afterwards with all the hype,

all the tight stands, all pumped up. And him with his, we're taking receipts and all that stuff. What can he say if he loses this game with it? You know, he's the hope to help cam ward, you know, snap out of this funk. I'm just saying there's so much pressure on him right now. Glen too, but I'm telling you, he wants this game so badly. You know, yeah, I'm sure he does and then he could downplay it all he wants, but I mean, he's human. He got fired five games in and his players, one of his players have been outspoken about it. I find it rich that Jacob Martin is talking about how this game means more. They traded his ass when he was a jet. So Bryce, I'm going to have more of an opportunity to play. So I don't want to hear from him, but it's definitely personal for Salah. It should be personal for Glen. He started on seven last year. Every game should be personal. Everyone saying you're the worst coach in the league and it really proves otherwise he is. So use that as motivation. Have your team ready to go and let's start one another. The jets are the better team. I agree. You guys, you guys are going to fund down there and I don't know how I feel about the game yet.

It depends, you know, all depends on to me, Chino. But we have there with you know, but I think once again, if we can start pounding up to the screens, the tight ends the outside, these are things I've said before we all know Salah could never stop. I mean, we could literally we could we let teams pound their way all the way down the field just throwing screens, they're running back over and over and over again, little outs. So anyway, I hope that hope you still doing that and you know, we get to take advantage of that. Hell yeah. Love it. Ron. I know. I'm sure. I shake have a going love it. Thank you, Ron. Appreciate that. My drop is next. Hello, Mike. Hey, guys, thanks for taking my call. I've been trying to offer a minute just in and out doing stuff. Is your first call Mike? Now I called the bunch last year and then they went like, oh and four and I was just I watched I anger watched the rest of the season. Yeah, you're the perfect example of why when people say to me on Twitter, you want the jets to lose because it's better for your content.

I get so annoyed because they have no clue what they're talking about. Yeah, yeah. And I've been watching just haven't had the motivation to call and King of those see kind of gave me the motivation to stay on. I forget on. But I do think we're going to win week one. My guess my biggest debate was when Doc Jetfan called and said that he'd rather not have Mendoza sitting in like QB2. Or like having Bailey and I completely disagree. That's the most important position in football. We've been lacking a cop in a court. We've been lacking a top 15 quarterback. Like if you know, top 15 this year, like just 15. Our offense is going to be much better. We're going to score 30 points. Like I'm teaching my daughter soccer right now. And there's like no defense all offense is what they want us to teach. And that's what I think the jets are kind of gearing tour. I think Mewch is trying to do that with his draft picks. What he's trying to do on the offensive line, making sure that was solid, buttoned up. Training for some backup line in case we have somebody hurt. So I'm hoping we just dropped 35 and hope to defense and Glenn super power can kind of keep everything together on the defense.

And we're top 15 on both. And we've taken to the playoffs at 10 and 7. So appreciate the the quick phone call. I love it, Mike. Great call call again soon. All right. Well, do Mike drop. With the mic drop for the callers today. All right. We're back this afternoon. We'll do more calls then doing boy green show at 220 today. I don't know if that's live. But I go on with him every week. Three o'clock. I'm doing Jared stillman show that is live on his YouTube channel stillman and co. So he wants to be on for the jet perspective for his Titans audience. And then we'll get him on our show at 4 p.m. Then the jets collective is live at six. So. Three shows. I'm hosting two. I'm hosting two. I'm guessing on it's a busy day. You guys are the best. I will talk to you all soon. Like the video. Check out the podcast.
