Gamecocks Land European Stars, Top Transfer

They grabbed Jacque of Neckas from the Czech Republic, who played at Duquesne and Alexis Bielioskas from Lithuania, formerly at Wisconsin. Coach Lamont Paris says they're nearly locked in on the key pieces, but more international talent could still drop after their competitions wrap. Right after Paris spoke, the Gamecocks landed a big fish in Alabama guard Davey and Hanna, a four star high school prospect ranked top 50 in the transfer portal that bumps their count to 10 players, with six portal additions already in the bag and whispers of up to three more foreign-born guys joining. Coming off a rough 13 and 19 season, the team lost 12 players to graduation or transfers, sparking a total roster flip. Last spring, when Paris got his fifth year, the athletic director promised more cash flow for recruiting and Paris is loving the support to stay in, the bidding wars.
