Get up to $200 off Square Hardware when you sign up at square.com slash go slash college more on them in a second. Welcome back in. It's overreaction. When I say overreaction, I mean overreaction. This is game has just ended ending like moments, seconds from now. Recording this because we want to get in and every single Saturday during the season, we'll be talking about complete feels. I got three things for today. One, the feel of this team is a thousand percent different than last year's team. And I'm going to show you multiple ways. This is true. Secondly, we may have gone and found ourselves a past rush. I get it. It's Tennessee State. It's the overreaction. We may have found ourselves a past rush. And it's not just in the sack totals or the numbers or the competition, but rather what

I saw guys doing that I didn't see them doing last year against lower competition. And the third thing I'm going to name names. I'm going to get to names that played early and often freshman. Other guys that got in the rotation that you should be looking for as we go out. But I want to begin here. This is the story that needs to be the story continuing on. We talked about it all off season. We're going to say it again. Turns out we don't have to play without wide receivers. But if you took every wide receiver off this team, we'd be just fine. We don't have to. And we have guys I'm going to get to here in a second talent tailor. I see you who are going to be assets for us. So Kobe White. Oh, hello young man. You have a very distinct role in this offense. But if we didn't get to play wide receivers, if somebody came down a fairy said no, no, no, no, no, all wide receivers gone, we'd be just fine because this tight end room. It's it's ludicrous with this tire.

It's the best tight end room I've ever seen compiled on any college football team of any time, including when we had Brock Bauer's I get it. I understand. I don't even know if I'm totally overreacting. I think that's completely fair. This is you've heard of a Madahorn. This is the monohorn. Georgia University is monohorn you meaning there's it's a one or it's a unicorn creation factory. It's the one horn horses that are coming down like crazy, completely special and completely different than anything else I've ever seen. Shall I list the ways? Yeah, Jayden Grydell, we can we can all say it together. We can all say Brock Bauer's was like it from day one, but that man on his catch his turn, his taking contact, his getting to the sideline, throwing a stiff arm, which grabbed some face mask with a little little finger and ran up the sideline outpacing everybody.

The balance, the speed, the complete and utter I'm taking over this play was Brock Bauer 's ask. There's no other way to say it. There's no other way to put it. It's monohorns everywhere. The pro throw catch a little pass on the outside, give a little little little shift, you whoop to whoop, little degle get in on into the in zone. How about last Williams? Oh, there's four yards between me and the in zone. How about I just leap for it? Jayden Grydell, Elias Williams, pro throw. I didn't even mention Barbara who did have the drop, but Barbara does everything in this offense blocking motion, backfield on the line, out wide, catching flats, screens over the middle. He is the do it all tight end. Okay. Well is the vertical threat down the hashes. Elias Williams is the, I don't know, do whatever you want.

Pro throw is a slot guy who you put out wide and then you just say try, I beg you to beat him. I defy you to beat him. Tightened you is real and it's glorious and it's fantastic and it's the monohorn, not the matter horn. This is Mount Olympus of unicorn tight ends and I'm here for it. It's incredible what they did today. So that's the very first thing and how how I know that this is the feel of earlier championship teams for Georgia is because last year we were not beating up on the competition like we did today against Tennessee State. Last year it was a lot of coaching, it was a lot of hand holding, it was a lot of Kirby smart getting nice and and and cuddly with people because he knew later on in the season we're going to have to have, Rishan Jenkins come on in and do something. This year Kirby smart, Glenn Schumann, Mike Bobo are stone cold killers with this team.

Like there is nothing that we didn't show today are talent, escape will executioning is better competition. Yes, I get it of course, but I watched Alabama earlier in the day not be able to execute the things they needed to do relying on key loan wrestles ability to run and out maneuver an offensive line that couldn't move anybody. Why do seevers who could do something but against different competition maybe not they have the ability to do so. I saw Georgia they do everything it wanted to do offensively and defensively. There was nothing that was off the table. Screen game which we were averaging 15 yards a play on screen. Do you care how you score points? I just I ask you if you care how you score points you don't like football. You like your own voice. I don't know.

We score point points we get yards and it doesn't matter how I don't care how just give me the yards give me the points. I could be on draws it could be on power runs which we had as well. Nate Frazier holy jeez again the ability is there to do whatever we want to offensively defensively and the feel of this defensive team negative rushing yards. You're negative rushing yards. I don't understand if you understand what that means to do. I don't care who you are. I don't care what school you're playing. I don't care anything about it. If you are holding a team of any ability to negative rushing yards at any point of the game they they wound up with 10 yards on 32 attempts. On 32 attempts.

They were at negative 31 for a while there before the fourth quarter hit. Oh and then let's add to that the insane ability to pressure the pass and this is where Larry Knight comes in. I saw guys hand fighting dipping ripping swim moving clubbing over that I did not see last year last year was a lot of on physically gifted. I'm going to try to out race you to the outside. I'm going to try to dip in. I'm going to try to extend with my arms and maybe shed maybe do a little push pull action not this year. This year I saw on the jump when the snap was made every interior interior defensive lineman three text edge linebackers I saw them all with a move in in their head as they were coming in. If that move didn't work I saw them go to a secondary move that I did not see last year Larry Knight has already paid dividends again.

These offensive linemen should have been worked over by our defense but it was how they were working over the offensive line that was so incredible. I'm going to come back after this. I'm going to give you names of players that showed out got in early. Not just the third quarter fourth quarter we're going to talk about some of those guys of performance. I'm talking about contributors this year that were playing early downs in the first quarter. Just like Ethan Barber last year was in on the very first play he was the starting tight end last year. I'm going to say and he was again he's incredible he's great he's contributed in this year and he should have contributed last year without the injury. I'm going to talk about guys like that the Ethan Barber Award for other players this year. I'm going to do that but first these. This team didn't beat up on teams like we did today last year we were developing a lot we're not developing already to go this year the elite athleticism the elite ability is already there. I'm going to tell you a couple names that you should be looking out for I already gave you Jayden Raidell he is Brock Bauer's 2.0 alias Williams is big O 2.0 better receiving and more athletic Kirby smart call him one of the better blockers on the edge that we have in the tight tight end room hands down. Lawson lucky might be the fourth best tight in on this team right now. I love Lawson lucky he's my dude I think he's going to do great things for us but just let that sink in for a hot moment that's a possibility okay. I gave you Nate Frazier I talked about the defense and Larry night already paying dividends on the past rush and the negative yards against the run this team feels different it is from

the jump that we had super incredible tenacity all the way through. But here's some names you need to look out for. Valensone is a dude who played often and early I'm talking second drive third drive I think it was I said before the season he's going to have 15 snaps per game average. I think today he eclipse that easily I'm going to go back and take a look at it but Valensone was absolutely a terror on the inside landing up at the 1 to 0 the inside the outside he was right in the middle and he was pushing guys back from the get go he's a contributor Kirby talk called him twitchy I saw it instantaneously. Kamari Brooks early and often and making an impact freshman kid coming in and we said edge had to have some dudes out there gave Harris played a great game today. Gabe Harris played an incredible game today. I'm so happy for him. He was very efficient very good and he's going to he's going to be somebody that we have to count on long term. But we said we got to have multiple guys hit on this.

I thought it was going to be somebody else on the edge. I didn't think it was going to be this freshman on the edge but Kamari Brooks was playing that that outside edge very well very very well. Justin Williams is faster than I thought. He's an eraser and faster than I ever thought possible it was incredible Chris Cole. The hype was real Kirby smart called him a rubber band man because he keeps on bouncing back and does it more. He's different this year people chatting tindal year three incoming. Yep. Chris Cole is round one grade linebacker NFL don't overthink it. Just straight up do not overthink that at all. He is an absolute dude who has absolute firepower and is somebody that you need to keep an eye on because Chris Cole is going to disrupt games. He's going to absolutely erase somebody a Texas like game incoming for us.

I was thoroughly impressed with what he did. All the hype was real Kirby smart not lying to us so thrilled for that. Uh, dandridge. Yeah, Craig dandridge. Uh, 81s of dude. Two wider series talent Taylor dandridge. Isaiah Canyon looked great. He looked very stable. Telling Taylor and dandridge are the guys that are going to give us huge gains downfield. Scovy white. Oh, dear gosh. Scovy white is a screen minutes early and often that pump and go where we faked it and then hit it. And then dandridge doing a fade was chef's kiss. Bobo, I loved it. Another name to keep PJ Dean. I the before he had a site before he had his pressure. I saw him on there and I made sure I looked at the jersey and I was like, I think that's PJ Dean. Let me make sure. Sure, if it was he had a he was the most impactful freshman on defense hands down. PJ Dean looked to be a day one starter like he's been in the program for three years.

All right, quick hitters as well again. Pugliese, I love you. We love Ryan Pugliese. We think he's an incredible talent. Incredible competitor. Rhyma Gumri has the better deep ball and the better touch and the better air. Rhyma Gumri by by season in will be QB two. KJ Bolden is going to be a first round talent. We already know that he's going to be all the CC. He might be all American. Holy. Geez. Ladies and gentlemen, I get it's week on its Tennessee state. I get but all the things that we had heard about and questioned this off season saying we needed to see. And I needed to see early and often we were in a 13 person. We were in 12 personnel quite a bit to tightens on the field and tightens were used very often. Daniel's question. Check. My question was the trenches. Did we move? Check. Zai Ki Hilton is him at right guard. Jaiya Jackson came in.

Oak Bogu came in. Those were the two tackles that came in right away. But the rest of the offensive line stayed the same. The offensive line is the most cohesive unit on the state. The most talented units that I had end. The most physically above and beyond what I thought was the linebacker play. DBS didn't get a lot around because it's Tennessee state. That was a problem that we had. But this offensive line is the most cohesive. The linebacker stepped it up. The tight end room is the most talented that we've ever seen. Period. KG Bulldoin is going to be an all-American. Monohorn you is here. Put it. Put it on a t-shirt. It's incredible. It's week one. I anticipate us. Steam rolling. Lower competition. And when it comes Arkansas week. When Kirby smart is put in fourth stringers. Putting in any quarterback he wants. Any running back he wants. And any offensive line he wants. Still scoring points and covering. Holy geez. That was the first in Kirby smart era. That was the first in Kirby smart era. That cover. It's happening. Friends. This team has the talent, the execution, the tenacity, the culture and the fit.

To become national champions. Y'all done and screwed up. Thanks college football. Go look at Lane. All you want. We'll be over here just pounding on people all day long. We're going to be back all week talking about this. Looking forward to Western Kentucky. Talking about what we're most excited for. Join us every single time. This is a lot of double likes. Parallel on podcast network. Your team each and every day. We'll see you guys then.
