State Senator Sam Given shared his thoughts on the Huntsfield radio show earlier this week. He sounded skeptical about any last minute push from Ivey. Given is not so much support for her calling a special session right after the elections. Lawmakers would likely hold off if Tuberville wants time to review the issue himself before diving in. He pointed out that Tuberville could influence leaders to pause the regular session for a special one on gambling, but Given called that a poor idea.
