Hey, I arrived almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. I like how you sweating the spoon that up, cow. I'm just saying, man, I bought these pants. Like, I'm the cat if I buy something, I got to wear it. Well, this is how you became plant-based, too, because you bought the plant-based butter by accident. Yeah, I got to wear it, dog. So I bought these, I thought I was getting to bargain. Got these pants off of T-Moo for like free. All right, a little PSA. PSA, don't get the pants off of T-Moo dog, because they're not what they say to you. You didn't have to tell me what the story was about you and I knew it was about you. Just as you went through it. All right, you gave a shout out to Lanna Dickerson last night. Hugh I grew up good on him to show up and talk last night. For two reasons. One, he didn't play well and he addressed that. But also the news that broke right as your show started last night. I'm going to Elliot and Ike on the Chick-a-Sapiece players line. So Lanna Dickerson is and was going on the injury reserve. Let's hear how that sounded last night as Landon found out with you guys. He was going on the injury reserve. Landon being placed on injured reserve.

NFL sources said, Landon, I'm guessing you can confirm that. Yes, so these sources, I would assume are correct. I haven't been informed yet. I've been told that was kind of the plan. So I'm going to assume that's correct. Again, you guys usually find out information before we do his players. Oh, that's really? That's normally how it goes. That's crazy. It is crazy. Look, it's not, this whole thing is not totally unsurprising. Right? We saw the way he looked and we wanted. Yeah, he looked pretty bad yesterday and he admitted it. I mean, shout out to him. You know, he admitted it. He looked pretty bad yesterday and you know, I mean, if this is what's best for the team, then we got to do what's best for the team. Well, of course. Let's hear Landon talking about what happened, how the injury happened because he is dealing with something here. That's why he played like he did. Landon on his play and what's going on with his body right now. How are you feeling? Yeah. So honestly, and you know, address the elephant in the room. I played like yesterday. And that we're going to we're going to dump that don't worry. I can't say that.

I don't worry about YouTube. Got it. So they have. Yeah, you're good. All right. Yeah, I was a complete liability yesterday. And again, that was my fault. I know I said earlier in camp. I should be out there till I feel healthy. A few weeks ago, got rolled up on in practice. I thought as weeks went by, it would get better. And it didn't. And we kind of went out there and finally got some emincing on it today, figured out what was wrong with it. And really the best plan moving forward is put me on IR so I can get this thing better to have a good stretch at the back end of the season versus kind of what happened last year was go out there and limp it through for 18 weeks. And I don't think anybody wants to see that again, because that was just ugly. I don't want to do that again, because that was just BS. So there we go. I sent you. Yeah. All right. So there's a lot on pack here here. I mean, there's the land in Dickerson part of this, which we hope he gets better quickly. He's on the on injury reserve. It's at least four weeks. He'll be out of bone bruise. That seems that that's something that can link. Obviously, it's lingered for him the last few weeks. Now they're going to try to shut him down and get him better.

We shall see. Then there's also the big picture here. The offensive line didn't play well in the first game of the season. Now, I am concerned about the Eagles offensive line for a couple of reasons. One, they're out landing now. And we they need him to be part of this thing. Two, they have this depth that they've assembled over the course of the summer. And it does seem like it's been a positive, right? Like Drew Kendall looks like he might be the first guy. We'll talk about how they're going to replace landing. Willie Lampkin, Mark Helbell. Yes, sure. Like they've got some depth here, young pieces they haven't had in recent years. That's great. And I hope these guys could play. But until you watch an offensive line that play, especially let's be clear. None of these guys that are projected to come in if they need help this year. Lampkin, Kendall, Bell. None of them are super high picks, right? These aren't top prospects. These aren't first and second round picks. Not saying they can't play, but they're not guys they invested big capital. And so we don't know until they get on the field if they could play. And here the whole thing this year about this new scheme is predicated on this offensive line being really good. That is supposed to be the strength of the team. It's already banged up. Didn't play well in week one.

And let's not forget. They don't have Jeff Stoutlin anymore. You know, whenever the Eagles said I had an injury in the offensive line for the past 12 or 13 university, it was like, all right. Well, Stout's going to whatever whatever happens. Stout will figure it out. There would be a McCoy. I'm a guy. McCoy Bechton. Yeah, Bechton. I know I'm going to McCoy Malacom. I head because of you. Bechton or any other backup over here. He'll ever. He's right. Malacca. Bechton a couple years ago. Right. Any other guy that's kind of a project over the years, you knew Stoutlin would get that guy up to speed. I don't know. I mean, Chris Cooper's day one week one, you know, kind of choppy on the offensive line. So as much as we want to feel good about jail on the way he played, great. That's week one, but he was running for his life a lot. St. Juan didn't have many holes to run through. And now Dickerson's out at least a month. Here I'm concerned. This is supposed to be the strength of the team, the strength of the offense and they're already banged up. You are you concerned both land and just overall the whole offense line? I understand your concern, Joe. Jiglio, but I'm not as concerned as you are because I feel like this is the beginning of the season. Number one. And I play with a guy who was not the best offensive lineman in the individual

from an individual individual perspective, but he was pretty decent when you put him in that center spot. And I was Hank, frankly, Hank, fairly wasn't the biggest guy, but Hank was tough. And when you talk about potentially putting somebody at that center spot, the center is the most protected lineman out there on the field because he got the two guards on either side of him. And he's basically the guy that's going to, you know, fan and he's an, he's an assistance guy. But we're replacing the left guard right now. Yeah, we are. But what I'm saying is if you got some young guys that was a, a Kendall, Kendall, and Willie Lampkin, Lampkin. Lampkin. Lampkin. Yeah, you just made me feel really great that you don't even, you know, another name. I do know that name. Willie Lampkin. Lampkin. It's like I remember like Willie Lampkin. Like you know, you don't want to go out like back in the day. It's something I say you don't want to go out like Willie Lampkin. But in this case, Willie Lampkin is a good player, but I'm just calling him Willie Lampkin. But I think about this, this blocking scheme. You have to have, you got to have athletes, but they don't like, in this blocking scheme,

they don't have to be the greatest athletes. You tackles, you want your tackles to be kind of athletic. But if their guards can pool and get the box or whatever, you'll be fine. I think they'll be fine. Yeah, I hope they're going to be fine. I'm, guys, I'm concerned. They off, if you go back in the last decade or so of the years where the Eagles don't quite live up to what we want them to, what is primarily the reason? They go online. All I put. They have online issues. That's when they have issues, right? And before the season, I think we all wonder like, would Lane last for the season? Last year he was banged up or he's good so far, but like, I don't know how many games he's going to play. And then you go to the interior. Cam Jurgens did not play well in his first game. And now we have Landon out. And I know that Landon said last night, and I hope he's totally right. But there's a lot, we'll get to a lot of what Landon said to the chickies and peeps players on his last night. But he talked about having his own set of doctors. He talked about this injury which happened weeks ago. I don't know what happened. But my instinct tells me that whatever the Eagles originally thought it was, first the MRI yesterday, maybe those two things weren't exactly the same because why was he out there in a week, moment of bone proves? Like what happened here? So I have concern about this offensive line. They were not great last season.

This is a new blocking scheme and you're right, Hugh. You could plug someone in and get away. Plug and play. Yeah, but guess what? This is now two games, two different units, right? The more the front five play together, the more they learn to play together in this new scheme. Now that's, whenever Landon comes back, they're going to have to learn to play together. Again, I'm concerned about the offensive line. The Dickerset thing concerns me long term, short term as well. We're yet with the offensive line. Two one five five nine two ninety four nine four. Kyle, we're yet as the Eagles. Not, I'm not surprised that we find out Dickerset is her because he looked her, but it's one weekend and we're out and offensive line. So I'm teetering on extremely concerned. Yep. And it's not just this one thing. Like I think a lot of people probably were and should have been concerned about the offensive line before hearing about the Landon Dickerson news. They've been on a downward trend for over a year now. I mean, the offensive line was bad last season. It wasn't good. So then you add Landon Dickerson injury. I think I just have like concerns across the board with the offensive line, not only talent

wise. I don't think Lane Johnson played his greatest game is Cam Jurgens back to the level that he was in 24. Whoever's filling in for Landon, if they move two guys, like, I don't know. So I have personnel questions. I have health questions. I have coaching questions. Chris Cooper, you're going to be able to coach some of these backups up is it does this scheme even work with Chris Cooper's offensive line coach. I mean, so far, and you know, it's hard not to be a downgrade from Jeff Stallon and then Sean Manion, like, how is he going to be able to coach around deficiencies on the offensive line? He's a first time play caller. So I don't know like I think I'm one more bad offensive line game away from being full blown panic on this thing. Well, and then with that, you know, look, I thought he did a good job on Sunday, but we don't have a lift all boats quarterback. I mean, let's just he did it on Sunday, but that's not consistently how jail and place jail and his benefit. It's always sake one from the greatness of the offensive line. You know, so if they, if we don't have a great offensive line, this whole thing gets a little more murky to one five five nine two ninety four ninety four, where do you come down? All right, coming up. What Nick Cereyani had to say when asked about Landon Dickerson and more from Landon

on the injury is that the same as last year is a different is a chronic. Well, here from Landon Dickerson on the chickies of these players lounge, where do you come down? What's your level of concern with the offensive line? Dickerson's out at least four weeks. And based on how he spoke lesson, I'm not sure if this is just a four week injury. I hope it is. I hope he's back ASAP, but it could be a while. Where do you come down on the offensive line? Two one five five nine two ninety four ninety four. It is the midday show on sports radio now. Badmoutraizen. Do you remember the wide receiver, Chris Berman, who used to call badmoutraizen? That was Andre Risen. Andre Badmoutraizen. I'm NFL Prime Time. Hugh Douglas here, Joe Gileo here. He would his three dollar team who pants. Three dollars. Are they comfortable? At least. Not if the tag isn't like the crack of my butt. It's not that comfortable. This is what you get for the three dollar team who pants. I mean it. I mean it. This is what you get. No, I was way too much information. Nobody knew. Yeah, I didn't know. Yeah, that's my fault for asking. I'm sorry, everyone. Two one five five nine two ninety four. I have the serial on the replay coming up in the next hour. What he says of the morning show, Ross Tucker at 1230. We'll get to the fills two marrow moments today.

Marrow lives tonight, by the way. Tonight is the night. You don't know. I'll tell you on the break. I'll tell you. I'll be there. I'll be there. I'll be there. I'll be there. It's going to be awesome. Donovan's going to be there. Donovan flew in from. He's flying in from the west coast. He flew in from there. I think so. Yeah, it's exciting night with Marrow live. Before we go to the phone lines here, are you worried? And really how concerned are you with the offensive line? I'm concerned. I mean, I'm concerned. It feels like Kyle's bordering on panic and Hugh over here with his team who pants. Not concerned. Even though it's supposed to be the strength of our team, we're already down one guy. I'm not sure if Chris Cooper is going to be any great at this or even close. The worst out them was. And look, the depth is interesting. And I certainly think over the course of the summer, it showed to me better than maybe we thought or knew, like Kendall looks like he could play and and Lampkin and Bell. But you never know until these guys actually get on the field. Yes. And it sounds like it'll be Drew Kendall coming up on on Sunday in for landed Dickerson. First though, let's let's hear from Lannan last night about what this injury actually is. Is it new? Is it the same as last year? Because we know last year he dealt with the Meniscus injury and had surgery in August.

Let's hear last night landed Dickerson with you guys telling me about this new particular injury. Is this injury that you when you got rolled up on a few weeks ago? Is this related to last season? No, this isn't really the last season. I think I'd like to say I went out on a mission in the off season to get my own team of doctors and trainers, medical professionals, rehab people to fix myself, get myself right. And in reality, up until that point in camp, I was feeling pretty great. And you know, others than that, I can't make any complaints and knock on wood other than what I'm dealing with in my knee right now. Everything else feels good. Hugh, there's a lot to unpack from that. I guess it's a good thing. It's a new injury, but also this is a guy that keeps getting injured. You know what I mean? I'm glad it's not the same injury as last year because that would not be great. But also this is someone who's had many leg injuries over many years as an offensive lineman. The second part caught my attention.

Hugh, he spent a lot of time in the off season getting his body right and assembling his own team. That's kind of interesting. Yeah, it is. I mean, it's something to listen. And I'm going to say it like this because I grew up in an area where we didn't do stuff like that. And not saying that's a bad thing to do is not. It's just that he wants to have peace of mind. And that's what he was talking about. And as long as everything aligned with everybody, that's all he cared about. I remember when I, when I, my first year here, I got hurt and I had to do, I had to have a surgery. And Dr. Deluca was the guy that was going to do the surgery. And I told Doc, and you know what, we're friends for this day, but I was like, Doc, I don't know you like that. So I went back to New York, the team that I played for because I knew the doctors a little bit better. I was like my first year here. And I had them do the surgery because it was just, it's just a trust thing. That's just how it is. And I think, I think it's the same thing for landed. But to have an whole team, he said something else in one of those cuts to where, you know, when there was speculation about him retiring and everything, he said, I wouldn't have spent this much money on my body as I did to try to get right before if I was going to retire.

So I think it was just something that he just wanted to have his own team, so to make sure that everybody was on the same page. Again, not to say that the Eagles, doctors are shattering anything like that. It's just, it's just always good to have a second of peace. Sure, it is. But I think it is fair to wonder what went on here last couple of weeks. I mean, he explained it pretty clearly last night. He got rolled up a few weeks ago. And then the yesterday they did an MRI on his knee. To me, I wondered, is this the first MRI day that, and did they miss the, did the Eagles miss this injury? Because if he got rolled up and he's, they tried to just play through it and he struggled. And then they realized like, oh, maybe we should check it out. That makes me wonder if they should have checked this thing out on an MRI weeks ago, because the bone bruise didn't just arrive yesterday. The way, the way he explained it is when he got rolled up, he got hurt. And then they realized yesterday that this is a bone bruise. That tells me they missed it. Yeah, I mean, I don't, I don't know. I mean, it's one of those things where, you know, you hear what he's saying and, and you obviously have questions. But I'm talking about a procedure or something that went on differently in, in my era.

Yeah, right. And then it is now. So I don't know, I don't know. And, and you know what, when you, when he, when he, when he was talking, didn't think to ask the question, so when did you find out or when did you tell him or anything like that? Because it was number one. It was a shock that he was there. Number one. And, you know, we don't really get a chance a lot of time to talk to somebody who's freshly injured and coming off a bad game. I really appreciate that he showed up and talked to you guys. Yeah, man, it was, it was a lot going on that night. So I'm like, now thinking back on it, that probably would have been a great follow up question. But I was in the moment. Yeah. Wasn't even thinking that way too. No, I wasn't questioning your questions. I don't know. You're not, but, but to your point, wasn't, in that moment, wasn't thinking about my guess is just the way he explained it is that they. They didn't realize it was a bone bruise. I don't know. I, I'm not a doctor. I just followed this as much as the rest of us too. But it sounds to me they got rolled up. They thought he was probably okay. And it's still bothered him and they just tried to gut through it. And then when he didn't, when he played so bad in week one, they're like, maybe we should check this out. I'm in a lot of pain here. This isn't working. And they realize it's a bone burst. To me, that means they missed it.

And if they missed it, that's, that's not a good thing. Because he probably should have been the eye on the eye already. Right? He probably shouldn't have played this game on Sunday. I mean, now that we think back to this whole thing. So it is what it is. He's going to be out a little while here. I hope he gets back. Hope he gets back soon. I am concerned about the offensive line. They didn't play well in week one. Now we're on to depth. And once you start getting to this and there's the stoutland thing guys, it was a, I remember the reaction, this radio station, the day that stoutland was gone. He was like, he gone. Right. How could they do this? How could we lose this coach? Well, now we, now it really we're going to see now how much this all matters. And how much maybe this Cooper guy's good? Maybe it's not. I don't know. But we knew Jeff Stoutland was great. And when injuries happen, you felt like the next guy is going to come in and be okay. I don't know. 215-592-9494. Before we go to the phones, we hear seriani. This was yesterday, I believe, before the news was announced about Dickerson, the injured reserve. But seriani just asked overall about Dickerson's ability to play at a high level. At this point in his career, is landed Dickerson physically capable of playing at a high enough level that this team needs?

I think what you see with land and his extreme power. He's a big man who is able to move guys off the spot. If you go back and you look at, I think, you know, okay, so he gives up some pressures. But he also caved in the side on Sequans long run on that third down. And just did a really good job of pushing their defense attack on displacing him, which is a big job description for him. He's tough as heck. We've won a ton of games with land and there's a lot of good things that he can do. Just like every player on our team from yesterday's game and every coach for that matter. There's good moments and there's moments that we got to fix. And that's where we are. And you know, can't tell you how much I think of land and the player that he is. And particularly that power and that size where he can move guys off the spot at will against their will.

Sorry. He was not the misdirection. Yeah. What's a tough spot for him because he knows at that point, Landon's about to go on the IR. He's not ready to tell everyone. So he didn't say yes, though. Right. The question is, Could he play at a high level at the stage and he didn't say yes. Well, he didn't answer the question. Right. He didn't answer the question. And I mean, he's not. It's a tough spot to be in because you know, you're talking about a player that you're going to need. And it's obvious that that coach Ciriani has a tremendous amount of respect for him. This is just an unfortunate situation. You know, you never want to go out there. There's two things that are true when you talk about what Landon did. When you walk out there on the field, you injuries are not an excuse. Right. You know, but you're also in a situation where you can't let your teammates down. And I think for him, it's both the same thing because you go out there because you don't want to let your teammates down because they're dependent on you. And then you go out there and by your play kind of let some down. So he was, he was definitely feeling bad about that. Yeah, I'm sure he was.

I mean, look, he's a stand-up guy and he talked last night and he's, but he's been a tremendous eagle. You know, but I, I do think back to the night they drafted him. Remember that draft, 2021 second round? And the conversation then was they got a steal of a player but someone whose body might not last a second or third contract. I mean, that was the conversation around Landon Dickers that coming out of the draft because he had so many injuries already. And I don't know. I mean, we'll see where this goes, but it could be playing out that way. You know, when the Eagles traded for Jay a Jay back in 2017, that was the same story with him that he was a tremendously talented running back. But everyone kind of knew his knees were not going to allow him to have a six, eight, ten-year career. And, you know, he had a couple years where he was good. And then it disappeared. So I hope for the best for Landon, but I'm concerned about the soft fits of Landon. They didn't play well in week one. And now they lose a guy that we thought they needed. Add and Phoenix fill his up on WIP. Hey, Ed. Hey, good morning, guys. Hey, what's up, man? We've taken. Well, I'm really concerned about the offensive line. And I just hearing what John Richie said about seeing how

Landon could barely even walk out onto the field. Like, how did Chris Cooper or somebody else or the trainers not see that when they were just doing opening game warmups? Like, how that if he was so, I guess they thought he made it. They could have sheltered him next to, you know, my allotted and Jurgens, but Jurgens also struggled. It goes to point that in that scheme, it's unlike a, you know, like in a gap blocking scheme, like you can eat much more easily tells, like, okay, Lane's dominating his guy. Like, you know, McIbeck didn't drove that guy off the ball. And that one play. Well, it just asymmetry it with one guy just like blows everything up. So I'm just a little disturbed that they didn't catch this earlier. And I agree, especially with the way he described the story last time, which is this happened a couple of weeks ago, right? So I don't know how he was moving. I don't know if it got worse over the last few weeks of practice or whatever, but like they knew he got rolled up, right? And they, they just thought it was going to be okay. It's bizarre to me. It kind of reminded me of back before four years ago now,

when Bryce Harper tore his UCL that year in 2022, the Phillies did not send him for an MRI for like two weeks. He tried to play catch and then he said it still bothered him. They were deaching him and it was just kind of weird. And then they finally they sent him for the MRI. And they're like, yeah, you know, it's, it's torn, right? So he couldn't play the field anymore. They just, it's bizarre. They let it go on for two or three weeks at it. It just doesn't make any sense. Yeah, and I a question for you, like for a guy of landed Dickerson status, who's multiple time pro baller is obviously an integral part to our Super Bowl team of 24. So how, when does a coach step in and say like, all right, you're, you're like, hey, you can't tough this out. Like obviously landed Dickerson has more say in whether or not he plays than like E.L.i. Stowers, for example. Like E.L.i. Stowers, like, yeah, I'm ready to play on Sunday. It's like, okay, cool, buddy, sit down. Like, you know, when does the coach or can the coach say that? Like does the player really kind of call his own shots there? You know what, you know what it is? That's an interesting question. I don't know because in this situation, there's a lot,

there's a lot to questions to be asked and I didn't ask them because when, when landing said it, you know. Hey, all right, it's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. Like Joe said, the follow-up question would be like, well, how did it go this long? Because I'm assuming that the data that happened, you went down in practice. And you probably got looked at at the trainers by the trainers and they thought you were fine. I don't know. I don't know how that conversation went. I don't know how the injury transpired. I don't know any of that. So to be honest, I can't answer that question. Only person that can answer that question is landed. Because I can tell you this, the training stats that I've been a part of, they're very, very vigilant when it comes to the players and everything like that.

And this is not me saying that this training staff wasn't vigilant. This is me saying that I don't have all the information to properly answer that question that you're asking me. I understand that. And one last question. I'll let you guys go again. Thanks for the time. Let's just say Drew Candle or Willy Lampkin steps in there and this line starts humming. What do you do now? I do. Yeah. You don't get the chance to office line. So you're saying Dickerson doesn't get his job done? Well, I like you never lose your job to injury. But to the callers point, if the office line is humming and it's the beginning of the season, you know, I don't think you want to break up that continuity. And good folk. I hew I agree with you. I mean, it's weird because he's not old. But I do think there's a lot of science pointing that we're closer to the beginning than the end of landed Dickerson's career. I mean, it's just the. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, I don't want to sing about it. I don't know. I've got to know that's no addition. I did you want to put is this the. Oh my gosh, it's awful.

Ooh. Between that and you call it, woolly lampkin, woolly lumpkin, you're off to a big start. Listen, I guess if there's a bright side because I tend to look at the bright side. Yeah, you tend to have your head in the sand. But I mean, yeah, you let me finish speaking. I even call what you want. You call it the bright side. I call it La La Land. I tend to look at the bright side. I'm just trying to make sure this the beginning of the season hopes brings a turn. Alright, and we're already banged up up from nothing's like the. I know that road being banged up. You got like this is how I listen. Listen, listen. What about the player going back on the I R? He's hopes brings eternal. Yeah, nothing. He's talking about me. Okay, can I try my best? Can I attempt? A book for you guys now. Just a little bit. You can attempt to find a real pair of pants. Okay. I should. You know what? I should just not shouldn't share with you, but T-Boo pairs. But here's the reality. And this is how I look at it. We were excited all preseason. Because number one, we didn't see the regular guys play. Right. We were excited about Willie Lump lump and Drew Kendall.

Oh, they're out there moving the crowd. And we talked about Willie Lumpkin, his little squatty body, wrestler type attitude guy. Oh, we love you. We got depth on the offensive line. We had depth in the long time. Okay. Somebody gets hurt. Oh my gosh. What are we going to do? The depth is about to be tested here. We don't know. We don't know. I'm gonna put the football, let me understand. I understand. But we're a lot of good surges about it. I'm going to tell you some Oopaloopa. That's why you don't know how to say his name. And I'm supposed to feel great about it. No, I'm saying I'm not saying any kind of thing. And he sucks on that. I don't know how to say anybody's name. But that ain't never stopped me from being what I am. Everyday. Is it fair to say that this time it's a little different? No. What, what, what, let me explain. Now you won't be the ledger. Yes. Well, because we don't have Jeff Stoutlin anymore. In years past, we had an injury in the offensive line. We just said just like a reflex. Stoutlin's got it. Wherever's up next, they'll be okay because Stoutlin, we don't know if this offensive line coach is any good. We really don't. Can I say this about that?

Yeah. As good as Jeff Stoutlin is. And I tend to listen to what's being said, because that's the only thing I can go off of. I can only go off of what I'm being told right, especially by people that are intimately involved in the situation. Those cats, joined my ladder. Who else? Who's the other big guy on the side? Lane Johnson. Lane Johnson. I can't hear you, my name. I told you, this is not my strong suit. The offensive line basically said, oh, Coup comes in. It's a breath of fresh air. Oh, man, he's the, he's the grand wizard. Well, maybe put that back. Not grand wizard. He's a magician. He's a magician. He's a magician. Oh, you kidding? Yeah, that was. That was not, that was, did not mean to say that, did not mean to say that, that, that, that, did mean to say that. But the point that I'm trying to make is, these guys that are in the locker room on a daily basis, were singing the praises of both the offensive line coach and the offensive coordinator.

So much so that even when we talk to him, you go back and listen to some of the cuts. They saying his praises so much that they were very, after a while when they heard themselves, they were very careful not to, to kind of poo poo what coach Stoutlin brought to the table. Like think about that for a minute. Hey, not no disrespect to coach Stoutlin, but this new innovative offense is down there. So, so I'm left to believe that from what I've been told, that we're gonna be okay. And so I'm gonna believe that we're gonna be okay until we're not. Okay, and you could believe that. And I could be skeptical because we had a great offensive. And also the players do this for coaches all the time. Action speak louder than words. Yeah, but did they play well in the first game? Did they play well? They played decent. I will tell you this. I will say this to that, Joe, when Jim Johnson got here, everybody was excited about the defense because they saw the potential of the defense. And that was his first year. Yeah. And it's the defense of side of the ball. I know offense is a little bit more intricate

and all that I get to get that. But the bottom line is this, those guys were singing, they have been singing the praises of the offense line coach. Right. And the offense coordinator since day one, evil genius. That's, and that's how it ends up. And I hope they're darn right. I just know this. We don't have style anymore. We already lost landed Dickerson. And I keep bringing this up because I think it's important. The backups that we think might be able to play based on the preseason. And I think they played well, Kendall and Lampkin, Lampkin. And Bell, none of these guys are high picks, right? This isn't the same as when they drafted Jurgen's behind Jason Kelsey. You're like, oh, well, he's a second-up pick, right? They're probably a good player. I don't know. I mean, we're going to find out as the next couple weeks go on. I'm concerned. And it's funny how we've just forgot about this. The best part of the team two years ago that won the street play, but the strength of the team was the offensive line. And now two years later, Dickerson is hurt. Jurgen's we're not even talking about didn't play well. And Lane is coming off a year where he was very banged up. We'll see how he lasts for the season. The bar for concern or not concerned

should not be delusional Eagles fans. They're beating their chest about how excited they are about the depth on the offensive line because they watched a few preseason games. Well, I mean, we, we, we have a crap. We did, but we did beat hard chest about it. I, we beat our chest about everything. Everything. So now I'm holding your feet to the front. How long have we been doing the show? How many people do we talk to? So that's what I'm holding their feet just about. Just a bunch of chest beaters. Chest beaters. Well, I hope you, I hope you, I hope Jalen is ready to put a certain band cape on because he's going to have to run around a lot and get away from the pressure. Because that, you know, that was one game. He might have to did all year if the offensive line is struggles. Will in the North East is up. What's up? Will? Turing team, are you all doing it? Who's the home man? Oh man, listen, man, let me cook for a minute. Go ahead. Did you all watch that game last night? Yes, my home is his back. The most of the chiefs are back. He'd be the best of me to be the best of it in the past. This is, this is what I want to say, right? What does everything that I was talking about, right?

It was running the heavy up offense. And guess what? A man's a trash is another man's treasure, right? The runner back was running all through them games, right? Yes, it was Kenneth Walker. Kenneth Walker. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Yes, it's such a similarity to when we got sick while, right? Believe me, they want to get they lit back, man. And with us all last night, the difference between our play collar and their play collar is our play collar called, please, to see what works. Their play collar drew a place to drive them down a field. The difference is like our play collar is called, we're not getting a real drive. Like, you don't have plays so we could go here and march down a field. That's what I saw Sunday, right? That's one of the things. The other thing is when I saw is their office, like all offensive line, like you got an inadvertent 12 personnel,

you can go say, it's other ways to pick up the blocking, bro. Like just because he lose, and I knew it was wrong with Lane Dick. I mean, um, that's how Lane Dickerson works. It works. It works. I knew something was wrong with it because like normally, you don't let that happen. But what I'm saying is the next man up, man, that's how we play it. But what I want to say is this man, well, all the teams in the NFL, they've been improving everything that they needed to improve on as far as offensive collar, offensive, defensive coordinators, all that, right? While we sit here, what it about is Jalen Hertz going to be our quarterback for the next season. Everybody is getting ready for all these things that stack it up with defense, offense, and everything that they need to do. They go to the Super Bowl, man. So now, like I said, my big question is, how long are we going to do with if this guy is not our guy to call the office before you pick up the toll at court, Doug Peterson?

You think what I'm saying? So wait, so hold on. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Sorry. I'm out on Manion and you want Doug? Yeah, come on. Wait a minute now. How you getting cranked up? Turkey Manion. What the hell are you talking about? I mean, I am a Doug guy. I do love Doug. But I think, but I'm also a manion man. It's a cosmanion. Got them hairpods. Really? That's the word on the show. All right, well, we appreciate the phone call. I mean, it's one of the worst suggestions I ever heard. No, that's the word on the show. 2.1, 5. 5.9, 2. 90 forever. Is that worse than BOOM should lead off? Well, now BOOM should lead off his worst. We need a poll of the worst things that happened in the first hour of this show. Who's team who pants? Will, Will's suggestion of Doug over Manion after the first game or his slip up of a- I know. Actually, maybe we shouldn't put that poll up. You just stop. Stop, stop, stop. John Richie, John, there's like, seriously, stop. Stop. It was excellent. I'm in a public apology to show him that in two one five five nine two, especially after AJ Brown, but you know, you know, you know, it was early last year you did the whole

Patuos, got slapped across the lips and now you've done this to Manion. I mean, you just destroy coordinators every week too. It's unbelievable. Turkey got them more. All right, what's your concern level with the offensive line right now? We'll get back to the phones. And a general question we got coming up in a few minutes. Plus, how do we think they should and will configure the offensive line without landing Dickerson? That's that. We did show on sports radio 94 WIP. Hey, good people. You know, I love my bourbon and I mean, I love some good bourbon. My bourbon of choice is none other than Woodford Reserve, the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby. And this month we're celebrating national bourbon heritage month. And trust me, if you're going to honor America's spirit, you got to do it right. We're talking about raising the glass of the most elite, craft the steel whiskey on the planet because a month this big deserves a bourbon this good. How should you celebrate? Well, right now at your local fine wine and good spare stores, Woodford Reserve, 750 bottles are $2 off. And that's just not for the classic straight bourbon. The deep rich double oak and spicy Woodford Reserve, Rye 750s is also $2 off.

Whether you crave a smooth old fashioned or a preferred neat head to the fine wine and good spare stores today to elevate your home bar. Douglas, team of pants. And whatever the hell he said last night, welcome back. It's the mid-day show. Yeah, I'm skating on it. Yeah. I'm right there. I can't say what. Okay, happy last night, right? Sure, yeah. So we're doing the players. So you know, landed had a couple slips. You got a couple of them, right? So landed asked me what words can we say on the air? And what did you say? I offered up because I used it last night. I'm not. I offered a female dog, right? He said, what can you or can't you? I said, what can you say? It might be easier to give him the list of things you can't say, but you can't say those on the air. You can say he was like, what words can you say here? So I gave him female dog, right? But I said, when you say female dog, you can't put the ES on end of it, but you can say it, but you have to like, if you say it, you can say the first word. And then you got to have a like nice little Paul.

Did he get it? And you get the edge. We should have just played him the tape of you talking about Tiki. No, and so when I did it, I didn't like it. Like the boss was there. So when he walked up on the stage, I'm like, oh, hell, I'm in trouble. He was like, hey, because right after that did it right, we went to commercial and he walked up on the stage. And I was like, damn, I'm about to, this is, this is about to get a trouble. And he said, hey, getting ready to go have a good night. And I was like, oh, I thought you heard what I say. And he was like, he just dropped his eggs. I don't even want to know. He just walked away. I'm sure he doesn't want to know. He probably walks up to you when you're like a dog that looks guilty after he just like ran through the entire fridge. When he, when he, when he, when I'm on the couch and I see right like you name, I'd be like, damn, what I, the first thought is like, damn, what I do. Yeah, we'll watch out for that call today. Coming up soon. All right, let's, let's unpack this here. How should the Eagles replace slanted Dickerson for the next four weeks? So there's a couple options. It seems like on the table.

So Drew Kendall seems like the name that everyone is talking about. Although according to Jeff McClain, Kendall could move to center in the reconfiguration. So then we're not, I think it's pretty, it's a pretty fair guess is a Drew Kendall is going to start on Sunday against Titans. Hugh, but what positions Drew Kendall plays, that is up for debate. Now Drew Kendall was a center in college. He has played some guard here in the last two years, you know, getting ready to play for the Eagles last year, being a fifth round pick. Hugh, if you were doing this, how, how would you play it? So you have Kendall and you could just plug them in at left guard and then Kendall just takes over for Lannan Dickerson. You also could put Drew Kendall at center and move Cam Jurgens to left guard. Hugh Douglas, your Chris Cooper, you're the new offensive line coach. How you doing it? I'm looking at the numbers because normally back, back in my day, centers were kind of a little bit more short and squatty. You know, like when you talk about, because when you talk about the, the offensive line, especially with our quarterback being like highly challenged, you want, like no, seriously, I get it.

Because I remember he's only a six one. Yeah. It was Maddo Dwyer and I forgot the other guy's name, but they were like short, squatty built guys and they were the guards, right? So you usually want the smaller person in the middle, Drew's like six four, but he's played center before and I understand the concept of, of, you know, you're, you're potentially weakening one position to strengthen another, but Cam has been a guard. You know, he's play guard and Drew is more comfortable at the center spots. So I, I would say that I don't have a problem with them doing that. The only issue with that is then you're changing two spots, aren't you? I mean, like, so we already are changing left guard with that. We have no choice on that. Landon Dickerson's on the injured reserve. But if they put Kendall at center and move Jürgen's to guard, we are now shifting two different positions rather than just, just the one position of left guard. Yeah, but, but if, if you put, say if you leave Cam at center and put Kendall at guard, he's not a, as adept at playing that position probably as he is as playing center.

So you're talking about, in this case, the easier guy to be the swing man would be Cam Jürgen's in this situation. Yeah. And look, Cam did play guard for a year, you know, next to Jason Kelsey. And he's played at this level. But I mean, he does. The only thing is again, you're changing two spots. That, that feels, I mean, it's a little tricky. I understand what you're saying, but I, but again, the whole premise and the purpose, like, and, and, and it's a matter of fact, Ross Tucker talked about this. Ross Tucker, if I'm not mistaken, Ross, I'm all right. Like, if I'm not mistaken, Ross was a guy that played multiple positions. Yes. Yep. And, and sometimes it's easier to had that Swiss army knife out there because he understands the blocking schemes from both positions as opposed to having somebody that you're going to have to stick out there at the guard spot and teach him everything about that position. I'm just not about changing Jalen center week two and a new offense. Well, we don't have to. Like, I'm with you. I would, I would only change one unless like, unless the Eagles are sitting there going, man, Camdjerkens really sucked at center.

He'll be better at guard. Like if they really think that, go ahead, do it, you know, be my guest. But there's also like a continuity thing with the old line, right? Like, isn't, isn't a cam in the left guard? Like, they should have, or a cam in the right guard. They should have a little report thing going here too. Right. You have a new play collar, not a new offensive line coach, but a new offensive line coach to this system. You have Jalen hurts who's trying to pick up this offense. That's, I mean, if I can minimize the amount of changes that I can make to the offense, then I, then I would do it. Yeah. You want to do that, but I think they are minimizing it by doing it the way that they're doing it. And I understand that you're concerned. But we, we don't know how they're doing it. Well, okay. Okay. The only thing we seem to know is, can those probably up, can those going to start? It's a matter of what they're saying by changing both. Yeah. I think, I think that when you, when you change them, that's the easier fit because to me, the one that's more protected on that line is the center. Do you at all factor in Dickerson's probably coming back? So if you move Jürgen's to left guard and candle to center, what are you doing?

Four weeks when Dickerson's ready or do you just, or is that at a side, at a mind until he's healthy? Well, you don't, you, this, this was, this used to be the rule. You don't lose, you don't lose your job there. Wow. I mean, you don't lose your job, injury. What if they play really well without? Okay. Well, that, that's a bridge that we across when we get to it. Then Tom Brady get his job because Drupal, that's what got her. Yeah. Like that. That wasn't he was head and shoulders better. That's why I said normally, but he was head and shoulders better. Drew. I don't buy that. If you, if you, you get out of play, if the next time it comes in, it could play. He stays in the lineup. So if, so basically saying, Kenna, going to come in and be like the Tom Brady at offensive line, if he's good, that's, yep. Yep. Well, that's what I'm saying. I'm saying. I didn't say that. I mean, if he's good, seven super balls, no, no, no. I get, I get your concern. Yeah. I get your concern, but I guess I'm not as concerned because the season just started, but that, that's why I'm concerned. We are one weekend already down alignment. Okay. And I, we, we need to get you a hug, Joe, because you're seriously concerned. But I don't need a hug. I need them to block.

I, I'm not as concerned because number one, you're going to get landed healthy at some point. And if it's, if it's going well, then you try to integrate him back into the, offense as much you can, but I'm not that worried about it right. 215, 592, 94 down. If you're concerned level for the offense line, I'm concerned. I mean, they did not play well in the first game. Now they're without Dickerson. And we'll see how long this takes to get back. Lot, lots of talk about it with the old line. Are you concerned about it after one week and on the other side? Let's look at what the quarterback and did he answer a big question in week number one? Is it a, is the box already checked? We'll discuss it next midday show sports radio 94 WIT for ball season. I'll tell you this song under Jalen really makes it pop. I mean, it just, it's, it does. I mean, it just makes everything you say and even cooler. Welcome back. Midday show. Hugh Douglas shows you guys, but I two one five five nine two nine four nine four. Come back to everyone's phone calls on the offensive line. I am concerned with the landed Dickerson entry.

I, I'm glad that they've got it locked in now. They know what it is. They could try to get them healthy and get them, you know, back in four, five, six weeks, whatever it's going to take. But I'm concerned overall with the unit that they did not play well in the first game. They're already banged up and we don't have Jeff Stoutlin. I mean, this is kind of where you relied on stout to figure things out. They don't have that. But here we do have Jalen Hertz and he was able to get away from a lot of pressure in week one and he made a lot of place and he used his legs a lot. And the question really is now after one game, did that prove confirmed to you that Jalen Hertz can run this offense at a high level? Where are you at, Hugh? No, it didn't, but, but I will say this is a good start. It's a good start. I saw some good things that he did. I saw him, I even asked Lenna last night. How did it feel having him back there in his new offense? And I asked him specifically, did it feel like he got the ball out of his hands quicker? He said, yes. And he also said something to the face. It's funny that you asked me this question because it's also something that said about doing something repetitively and and letting it become second nature

because a lot of times if you're not used to doing something as much when you get in those heated moments and those heated battles, you revert to to what you know best. So I say no because it's the first week. And, you know, to be honest, even though that was a close game, that really wasn't a true test. You know what I'm saying? So now you have to build upon the foundation that you started this week and improve on it next week. So I'm with you. I don't think one game is enough to tell me or convince me that he's going to run the scheme well or not well or great or anything, right? Because he played well. I mean, I gave him a B plus first first game. I thought Jalen Hurst did some good things in the first game of the season. The thing you'll, you'll know here, I keep thinking about as we go through the game and thinking more about it. How much of the success was actually the new stuff? Didn't the success look a lot like the old stuff? You know what I mean? It was shots down the field, which we know Jalen is good at. It was him using his legs was showing us been very good at. It just didn't feel as the game went on.

And I'm not sure why they went. They did this. Why maybe it was just game specific? Maybe they couldn't run blocks or they had. It just felt like a lot of the throws were more of the old stuff than the new stuff. Yeah. And that's fair, Joe. Yeah. And that's and that's just maybe the way the game went. But I guess I need to see a lot a few more weeks of the new stuff before I'm convinced that he's really good at the new stuff. You know, I mean, like if you had told me before the game, Jalen's going to hit a couple of shot plays down the sideline. He's going to scramble around a lot and they're going to win. I would say that's great. But does that really, did we learn anything about Jalen on Sunday? He's we always know we could do that stuff. Yeah. I mean, and I think that's fair. And like I said, when I see this office, I was looking for the small things, Joe, the play action, not the play action, but the motion. That was something that they didn't do last year. Some of the check downs that Jalen did and see how quickly he got to the check downs. He did that a little bit better. The bottom line is this. First week of the season, the two things that you want to happen in the first week of season, you got to get the W and you want to make it out fairly healthy.

Now you got to you got the ladder. You got the former. You didn't get the ladder. Right. So that's a work in progress. You and listen, this is how I look at it as a fan and as a person that buys your tickets and has been screaming for this team for decades. You can look at it the way any way you want to look at it because the bar is high in the city. And I'm going to say that every time before I say what I'm about to say, but it's a work in progress. And it's like building a home. You don't start with the roof. You start with the foundation. That's true. You do not. You know what I'm saying? You start with the foundation. And if you're being honest, the foundation was decent. Not great, but it's a decent foundation. Now what you want to do this week, you go back because I'm pretty sure there was a lot of outlet because it was one play that I saw that he didn't throw it to anybody, but it was a it was a the tight end leaked out when he went in motion. He leaked out underneath the other tight end because he went in motion to the other side and leaked out. So so in essence, you flooded one you flooded one zone.

You want you flooded one side of the field. So that was an extra man. So I was thinking, oh, that's going to be cool when the quarterback sees that. You know what I mean? So there's there's a lot to be desired when you talk about this offense, but you could see the the working's up when the quarterback gets comfortable. But that can it can be pretty decent. Yeah, I just I and I would say this either way. If it was a really bad game, it was really good game. One game is just not enough for sample to see what this is going to look like. But Jalen's going to do it. It's just there's some you need so much more to layer on top of it. And I just keep going back to I thought the really good on Sunday from Jalen. There was a lot of really good. Was the stuff he always is good at. The I guess the only thing I feel like I learned on Sunday is Jalen's legs are still there. Now last year he didn't use them as much. We wondered why his legs are still there. Right. He would take off. Yeah. 22 year run was awesome. And it was a huge play in the game. I didn't see a lot over the middle stuff. I saw you know a few of them, but not a lot. There wasn't much off of play action that was like, wow. This is this is the stuff we talked about all summer. And it just felt like they were in shock on a lot. So it felt a lot like last year.

And they did have that low in the second half where they kept going three and out, three and out. Now credit to them and Jalen and the fourth quarter. Boom. You know, he ran the run the ball and nailed it. But there's also this part. I did notice this a lot during the game. It felt like when the rush was there, Jalen would kind of scramble out and not stay in the pocket. Tom Brady did mention a couple of times during the game. Let's hear Brady on Sunday talking about when the pressure was there and how Jalen was kind of reacted to. I see his when his first reason out there, his eyes are dropping and they're dropping to the past rush. And then he wants to escape to the right. I think this Washington commander defense doing a good job with their pre snap disguise. They have a lot of bodies at the line of scrimmage and on the snap again. The picture changes for the quarter. Yeah, it just didn't look that much different to me. I guess I expected it to look a lot different and maybe it's going to take time and maybe they're blending the two offences. It's going to take time. Yeah, I didn't expect. I didn't. What I took from that in small spurs was that he got the ball out his hands quicker. I don't think he did. He got his ball.

He got the ball out of his hands quicker than he's done in the past, Joe. It's not. But okay, let me throw this at you. By the numbers, it was he held the ball longer than last year. That's what the numbers said. Now, there were a few plays though, Hugh, that behind the line of scrimmage ones. Is that when you're talking about like boom right out of sand? Yeah, getting the ball. That's it. He did that. Yeah. Now, when you're talking about the long development plays, that's something different. Right. When you talk about the short to intermediate passes, I thought he was trying to get the ball out his hands quicker. And I gave him credit for that. The funny part is they didn't work and I don't blame him for it. They those plays didn't work. Yeah, but he's that that's the work in progress. Yeah. It's it's it's like the rhythm because I'm I'm talking about the first drive where, you know, Mackay was out there and it didn't work, but the concept is there. Like they that's what that's probably what you what you saw. When he did that, it wasn't quite on point. So then you go back to something that getting back comfortable and then you come back to what you're trying to implement. Yeah, it's going to take some time. I just definitely going to take some time. I guess I would be more ready to sign off through one game that he's got this is if the the new plays worked.

And they didn't use as much of the old ones. Is what I saw was the old Eagles offense is what the successful plays were. The Jail and shot plays, the Jail and scrimmage, that's that's really what worked. I mean, the the stuff, the new stuff seemed like it was chopping and it didn't work. 215, 592, 94, 94. Are you actually the landing injury or you could start with the offensive line and is one game, you know, through what you saw on Sunday, convincing you the Jail and could run this offense that a very high love. I you and I both need to see way more than just one game. Mark is up on WIP. Hey, Mark. Hey, how you guys doing? Good. Mark. What are you feeling? Well, what I feel is that I think everybody on that offensive line, you dick or similar chart, including Jail and and I think that kind of, you know, they recover for him. Do I think Jail and could do this offense? Yeah, I think you can. It's like throwing a brand new book in front of a quarterback. It's one of Super Bowl. A lot of these guys would just rush the book right off the table saying, I don't want to do that. He's at least willing to try and that says a lot in my book.

I used to play a quarterback in other high school and it's a hard, it's a hard position to do. Everybody knows that and it's not easy. But if you're willing to learn, if you're willing to try, that's what we can ask try. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Do I think you can do it? Yeah. Do I think you want to do it? Absolutely. You want to get paid. So I don't know. It's like he said it's working progress and, you know, that's just the way I look at it. I've been watching football for 30. So I'm 64. So I've been watching for years and years and years waiting for a winning quarterbacks. And you guys, not you guys, a lot of people say, well, Jaylin, this, you don't know what you got till it's gone. And if we try to get another quarterback in here, I don't know. Well, yeah, I mean, we don't know. I mean, there's none knowns what everything and it's going to depend on how he plays. Mark, I mean, that's that's always how this is, right? If he plays really well, I'm sure they I'm sure they want to keep him around because he's here and he's won and he's played well in big games.

And if he doesn't play well, then they have a question on their hands. But the first game was just interesting, Mark, because I thought he played well. It's just it kind of was the old stuff that was successful. The new stuff was bad. Didn't really work. Yeah, I kind of thought that too, but like I said, I think the whole offensive line was covering for him. And that didn't help Jaylin at all. I did not. No, Mark, you're right. I mean, the pressure, he had to get away from a lot of pressure. Mark, we preached the phone call a lot of pressure. It was, it was there. I mean, Jaylin's legs had to be a huge, if I feel like I learned one thing on Sunday, or I he still has his legs. Now, how often he wants to use it and they want him to use it. We'll find out over the next 16 games, but his legs are still there. I didn't learn anything about him in the new offense though. No, what? They do any design runs. I don't think they did. I don't think they were all scrambles. Yeah, they were. I think you're right. Yeah, I think what I want to see and it's just week one and I expected it to not look, you know, perfect or well or machine or anything. But I think I expected at least more of what we were sold that this new offense was going to be. Like more rhythmic, like there's two second bang to the Ravens game and they're in this new

offense, right, with similar and Declan Doyle. Yeah, they're, they're plays. If you see Lamar, it's, it's rolling out. It's a play action and it's rhythm. And like it looked like they're new offense. It wasn't exactly rhythmic and there was a lot. I think some of the clonkinness was the align, you know, whatever. There's probably a lot going on there. First time play caller and Jaylin too, right? But like, but I can't say I'm sold that he can. That he's going to be able to do this all of a sudden. Like I think there's and granted this is Brock party's been in the same system for a few years. But like what we saw that was Thursday night Thursday. Yeah, that was a rhythm. I don't expect that. But I expected it to look the offense to look closer to that. I didn't see that. Yeah, I just felt like they used a lot of the old stuff and that's how they made the big place. 215, 592, 90 for nine. If we're going to lose phone calls up here, did Sunday convince you, Jaylin's going to be good in this offense? It didn't for us. I mean, you know, he would ease to see more. I mean, he was usually the first one to jump on board with something new. I need to see a lot more team. Yeah, like your $3 team who pants I need to see more to fully be convinced you take on Jaylin on Sunday. And the old line are you concerned with the Dickerson injury?

I am and now look, there's no sound anymore. Plus we'll get to it Nick Sireani his appearance on the morning show all your phone calls coming up midday. Mini, mini. I don't even listen to 50 cent like this, but this all kind of banging. Well, it does hit. This is like synonymous with with Nick Sireani in my eyes now. Well, to me, it's the ultimate Elliott as the beat ride of your need with getting that video a Cireani. Not in his head to the song after you shaved his head. And the Eagle sees it took off two years ago. Welcome back midday show. We'll hear from Nick Sireani coming up in a few minutes his appearance on the morning show. Until then we talk, lots of discussed, landed Dickerson on the IR. I'm concerned about the offense of line. It's supposed to be their strength. It wasn't a week one. And now they're about Dickerson. And I just don't know what we're getting out of this coach, Chris Cooper. You know, we knew for years when there was injuries and depth was needed. Jeff Stallon was going to get the next guy ready. I don't know. I got about to see it before I believe it with Chris Cooper. So I'm concerned about the old line and Jawon. Are you sold after one game that he could run this offense to a high level? None of us are including doubting Douglas over here. It needs to see more.

Am I wrong? Well, I said you need to see more. This is a small sample size. Yes. But there are, but there aren't. There's a positive. Well, but there are also people are convinced after the first game that he could do this. And I just like the first game was a broken place. People that are convinced after the first game that he stinks too. So, so well, I think that's probably a prior thought because he didn't stink in this game. Right? I'm saying, but there are people that are going to bend over backwards and hurt themselves to try to convince you that this dude is not that good. Well, I think people bend over backwards to convince us a lot of things. No, they convinced you they've been up backwards to convince you that he's great. So it's it's it's not a weird thing. It is shocking. Mount areas up. He's going to talk about you on her. It's what's out. What's out. What's out. What's out. What's out. Man. Hey, here I heard you yesterday on the players last man, you know, teaching those dudes how to toast on the radio, man. That was very strategic. I don't know what you're talking about. That's way here. Hey, check out what you're talking about. I'm not going to talk about it.

One of the one with Douglas, keep me in the house and teach you how to get away with with some of the, you know, the. Yeah, you can't put it. You say that word. You can't put the ES on the back because then that means something. Hey listen, man, I let me just say this. You know, it's very annoying for this fan base. You know, these guys call up here and they want to tell you how to fan because you don't agree with what they say. You know, it's just annoying, man. I don't know where this fan base is going, but they's going into the dirt right now because it's just like I said. You can't tell somebody else how to feel about a certain thing. You know what I mean? And my thing is this when it comes to Jalen Hertz, right? You know, I don't say anything to play bad on Sunday. He didn't play bad. He played well. You know what I mean? But it's the same things I've already seen. I didn't see anything different. I mean, you know, a couple of deep balls. You know what I mean? And we already knew he could throw a deep pass. You know, the deep balls pretty. You know, you ran. He ran. He scrambled. He was like, I mean, what is it?

Is it like, you know, where's do you? You're sustaining the offense? You know, it's like, you know, out of your hands quick. I didn't even see him on the center that much. You know, we were sold a bill of goods. You know, all season that this will be a new office. And it looked like the famel thing to me. So it leaves me to wonder, you know, it's top coordinators have been here. And all of them have eventually, you know, ran a different office than what they were sold to the run. And I'm starting to believe that this guy can only do but so much. And I don't think he can. I don't think he can run this office the way that it's supposed to be ran. Now, is it going to be effective? I'm not saying it's not or it is. But I'm just saying I didn't see anything different on Sunday. And if you play these better teams like the beers. And you play these, you know, even Carolina could put up nothing points to look like this year. You're going to have to put up points to get some of these teams. 24 points ain't going to get it done. So I mean, are you going to have you're always going to have a big deep ball throw, you know, I mean, to get you out of it or a big scrambled to run to get you out of it.

No, you got to you got to sustain the offense, man. And what helps say, Juan running game and ain't just him running the football. I think that is, you know, him being able to pass the football and sustain drives and put the fair and defences that this guy can really, you know, knife foot, carver defense up. And, you know, that'll open up some lanes for say, Juan. I just see the same thing. I'm not off this line as hurt, but it's just the same old thing to me. And I didn't see anything different. I agree. Yeah, I agree a lot for what you said. And, you know, I do wonder how, why they didn't open up the full thing to what we thought it would look like. And Chuck, a pretty good phone call. You know, I don't know. Maybe some of us, the offensive line, maybe they couldn't run the ball. Maybe some of it, they thought jail is better at this stuff first that new stuff. I don't know. But I did watch some of the other teams run the league and it felt like they were fully into the new offense. If you watch Baltimore, it wasn't the old Baltimore stuff. It's all new. Our offense looked like a mix, right? Some of the new stuff they tried. We tried a little bit of mix and I'm looking. I know there are a lot of hittrots.

And then this, right? So I think we felt generally optimistic yesterday about the offense. Yes. They did finish the week 17th and point scored. So 16 teams scored more points than the Eagles in the first week of the season. Like when you unpack it, it felt like it was more like last year than I wanted to walk away from. It had a little last year vibes to it. I feel you. I didn't see it that way. But again, like Chuck said, I'm not telling you how to fan because you're not the only one that feels the way that you feel. But again, this is the work in progress. And even though it's other offensive coordinators, you see other offense is taking off. Right. This team since I've been here has historically started kind of slow. But why? You know what? I guess the best way I can answer that question, Joe, is this the way that they practice? Because being a, being when Coach Reed was here, we started off historically slow.

You know, we started out. We had slow starts to seasons. And then when, as the momentum grew, we got stronger as the season went on. So maybe that's the philosophy behind. Maybe. But I think that's what I'm going to say about Sireonis, you know, his coaching style. I will say this, also, when you look at the Eagles in the year that I'm going back to is the Super Bowl year. They started off slow that year. And then when they started the game momentum, it looked different. So hopefully that's the case here. Yeah, I mean, it could be. Or it just could be that this is what kind of offense they're going to have. I don't know. There's a lot of factors. I just know we use the coordinator thing. First game, new coordinator. Well, Baltimore is a new guy. 41 points. I'm looking to Detroit as a new guy 31 points. Giants have a new guy 28 points. Vegas has a new guy 27 points. Tampa Bay has a new guy 27 points. Arizona has a new guy 26 points. So I think that part is, that's most the league now, has new coordinators. 215, 592, 945. All right, we'll get back to all your phone calls on Dickerson, the Offensive Line. And did the first game, one game, Kementia Hurts has got this with this new offense.

I need to see a lot more and I need to see more of the new stuff. But this game felt to me like, it was broken plays, was shot plays. Is stuff I knew Jailin could do, which is the deep ball and his legs. It wasn't a lot of the new stuff with the kind of the rhythm over the middle. So at first, before you go any further, let's let's hear Nick Sireani. He was on with the morning show today. Here's Nick Sireani today with Joe and John the Morning Show. Welcome, of course, to a new season. So congrats on the win. I thought Jailin phenomenal. I'm curious if his play exceeded your expectations considering first game, new offense. That can be a tough spot. I thought he was great. Did it exceed your expectations? You know, I thought he played a really outstanding game. But Jailin and I have been together for a long time. And I've seen him play great games so many times. So there's nothing on that field that when he makes these great phenomenal plays that we all get to see, that I haven't seen in practice or I haven't seen over and over and over again.

So that speaks to the consistency of Jailin of how long he's been doing it and winning at a high level and was excited about how he played on on Sunday. Nick, the landing, you know, we saw the news yesterday and heard from him last night on WIP. Did you know going in that he was that banged up and did you think about it at any portion of the game taking him out because it was so below his usual standard? You know, landing is such a warrior. He has always put his body on the line for his teammates and what a selfless, you know, offensive lineman are the most selfless people there are, you know, on the football team. And it takes a full team of selflessness to accomplish everything you want to accomplish. And it's always led by that offensive line. And so he always puts his body on the line for his team. He's played through, you know, so many bumps and bruises throughout his entire career.

And, you know, you hate that you hate that he's going to have to miss some time. But, man, I just can't speak enough on the toughness of landing Dickerson and how much good, and there were still good moments in the game. Like, I know, you know, I know he had some plays that want back, but that's a reality of football. There's a lot of players that want plays back. There's all every coach wants plays back of, oh man, I wish I could have done this a little bit better. But there were some bright moments too, you know, I think about the long run on Sequan's run, long run, you know, he gets a really good displacement, you know, out of the front to make that, to make that whole bigger so he can make that guy miss in the hole. So, you know, again, I can't speak enough about the toughness of landing and who he is as a person and who he is as a player. You miss him here for the foreseeable future.

Yeah. Next man up for at least the next month, is that Drew Kendall or Willie Lampkin at left guard with so little time to get them prepared for the Titans at least? The good thing is I feel really good about both those guys and they've had a great, great camp. You know, obviously we have a way we're leaning, you know, I hope you guys respect the fact that I don't want to give that information to anybody else. But, you know, I really do feel great about both those guys and the guys they're going to be next to because when you go out there and you have to replace land and you don't got to do it by yourself, right? You do it as a team. Hey, our ride's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. Huge game for Dallas Goddard on Sunday, coach. What was different that allowed him so much success over the middle of the field? Mm-hmm. Dallas is just a really big, big target. And I think you've seen him catch similar balls to that over the middle, you know, through the air and through the seam, the seam route that we were able to hit on third down. What an unbelievable play by those two guys. You know, I don't think anyone's really thinking that, you know, you work and to get a touchdown and but you're thinking, hey, I'm going to get this touchdown. Or if it's not there, I'm going to check it down on the third and 17 from the 17. Right? Those are, you guys look up the stats on that. No, those aren't real high. No, completion or conversion rates. It was so on time. What a coach. It was so on time delivered. Yeah, it was a great read by Jaylen. And again, you know, you guys know, like in the NFL, if the ball is in on time, the defense

was so fast to react and close, but you know, he put it in there in perfect spot. Well, great chemistry that those two have, right? You know, Dallas has been a great red zone threat for us. You know, the last couple years and particularly last year while the touchdowns he scored in the red zone. And you know, it's just chemistry, you know, it's just together and that's again, that doesn't happen without great, you know, chemistry between those two guys and it was a phenomenal play. And you know, Dallas has had a knack saying that the other day, you know, Dallas is his course of his career has been able to beat people many different ways, right? He's beat people with his ability to separate, you know, in tight coverage situations. He's beat people with, you know, being a big target over the middle and in a red zone threat like you saw the other day. And, you know, Dallas is also phenomenal with the ball in his hands when you can get him the ball in a little touch and he can go, you know, I think about that Packer's game in 2024 and the playoffs where he stiff barmed the guy and, you know, and it looked exactly

like a play from the 2022 playoffs against the giants. And so, you know, he can beat you in a lot of different ways. Nick Sirionny with us as he will be most Tuesdays right at this time. Nick, the movement Goddard had before the one snap that then turned into a touchdown. And I know you're very careful to not say too much to give other teams advantages. But I'm curious if you'll take this on. Is that intentional to create confusion for the defense? And do you and Sean look at each other afterwards and say it worked? You know, any that motion that little just quick motion right there, I think that can stop their rush, right? And I think that did confuse them. You're moving them for different reasons. Sometimes it's to mess with the defense. Sometimes it's to get in a minute position to run the play that was called if there was a check on the play, you know, sometimes you're moving them to help his route out. In that particular case, it was just an unusual type of shift that kind of froze them and

stopped the rush in that particular case for whatever reason it may be. And so, you know, well, maybe we'll explore more of those motions like that to try to take as much as we can. But, you know, again, it's still at the end of the day, whether they were rushing or not on that left side or that offense is left side. We still had to be in great positions for everybody else. Jaylen still had to deliver the ball. We still had to protect on that right side and Dallas still had to catch, turn and make a play and run for a touchdown. You know, we talked a lot this week of how important tackling and ball security are. You know, they missed some tackles in that particular case. Dallas cut back and got an extra 30 yards for the touchdown and we take a lot of pride in how much tackling and stuff we do. Obviously, it's not live to the ground, but you can simulate a lot of that stuff. And I was extremely pleased, particularly on defense side of the ball or on defense of how we tackled. There was another pre-snap motion on the Don Tavian Wicks touchdown that sort of declared

the coverage for our quarterback and how well did Don Tavian Wicks fill that AJ void? Yeah, he, he, I was, that was one guy that I was so excited to see play in his first game as an eagle because he is extremely tough, extremely competitive and a guy, which was really cool, what I thought was going to be really awesome to see as a guy who hasn't had a ton of opportunities, but has this talent that has almost like the world hasn't seen fully yet. And we were able to start to see that on on Sunday because he is extremely quick at the top of his route and has this ability to separate. But I just love, you know, I love these guys that are, that are tough, that are physical, that are relentlessly competitive. And he's got, he's got all that, you know, he'll do the dirty work stuff that, you know,

he'll do the dirty work stuff that needs to be done. That is so critical from the wide receiver room and, and it was, it was called CMB rewarded for all those, all those things and, yeah, excited about his continuing, continuing on in his journey. On the other side of the ball, Zach Bond just looked like an all pro again and he seems like such a kind person. How does someone with his personality enter beast mode the way he does on, on Sundays? He is a competitive dude. You know, he, and he's, he's just a phenomenal football player. What, what a great job, obviously by Zach, you know, first and foremost, the, you know, coming here and becoming the player that he's become, you know, and, and then what a great job are coaches to develop Zach as a football player and find the right spot form and, and develop them as a football player.

I can't say enough about Bobby King and his development of players. You saw, you know, Bobby King has just this love, like, Bobby just wants to help everybody play their best to their ability, which is our job as coaches, but he loves teaching block destruction and how to be in defeat blocks. And they work on that at nauseam and it's just a great sign of when guys are willing to put in the work and you got good coaches around them to continue to rise, to play to the level that, what they're capable of. And so I was, you know, obviously want to shout out there to both of those guys, Bobby and Zach, obviously Zach's the one out there going and making plays, but we do this thing together in the sport at all times. And, but Zach had a, had a great game. He's just got a knack for the football and to find the football and the B in the right box. And, you know, when he's able to get his hands on the football, whether that's in a strip attempt or a, or an interception, he is a way to make that play.

You know, I don't know if you've guys have ever seen Zach Bond play basketball, but that's worth your time to look up some of its high school basketball highlights. Wow. Watch that guy play basketball because it's pretty darn impressive. Well, Nick, it's so, it's actually just a great athlete. It's so funny you say that because, you know, we won't be messing around if, you know, if you guys had lost, it'll be a little different, but I got to go here because you go to basketball all the time. And we know you're a huge fan. And this our first time talking to you since that guy named LeBron James joined Philadelphia. What was the reaction in the Cereani household when the news broke that LeBron James was going to be a member of the Philadelphia 76ers? Yeah, no, I, I, I, I, pure excitement. Like, hey, we get to watch one of the best players of all time come to this city and, and we get to watch his, his career, you know, here. Yeah. Unbelievable, you know, and remember my, my kids, you know, they were excited. I was, I was obviously excited. I played golf like twice a year, and I was playing golf when it came out.

And I'm like, I lost all focus. Obviously you can imagine what my games like if you only play golf twice a year. Right. But my complete attention span was, was lost after that because I was, I was, I was thinking about that over, over the golf game, or at least that's my excuse. I understand. Yeah. And of course, Nick, now the pressure's on because your kids, I mean, you know, hey, coach, the Eagles, your kids got to meet LeBron James. You got to find a way. So good luck with that. Well, pressure's on also doesn't, doesn't Nick play spike in one on one. Yeah, the horse coming up too. That's coming up also. I don't know. Nick, but, but spike asking from WIP, destroy, and was the, was the, was the winning, bitter in the autism foundation, chair. Bob, Bob told me, Bob told me that. We're rooting for you, Nick. The whole show's behind you. You'll knock him out. It won't be hard. Hey, Nick, again, congrats on one and a good luck versus tennis scene. We'll talk to Nick next week. Thank you, Nick. All right. Thanks for coming. All right. There it was. Cereoni on the morning show today. A lot of good stuff. Bond, Jalen, the Dickerson stuff, which it seemed like Cereoni didn't want to talk too

much about the, what they knew or didn't know about how banged up he was into the game. And yes, at the end, he was touching on the fact that spike did win the bidding. I didn't know that was a real thing. Oh, yeah. That's really cool. Who do you got? It's pretty, it's gonna go, I'm gonna go with Cereoni. Yeah, me too. I mean, Cereoni's gonna win. Right. I mean, that's Cereoni's younger or Cereoni seems to play a lot of basketball in place. You know, I got a bad hip. Yeah, I just, yeah. No, it's a great thing. Spiked it for the charity, right? Then, and being the winning, bitter. But I would, I would take Cereoni. I would have breathed too, don't think that that, that, that, that being couldn't have been cheap. Did you bid? No. No, okay. I bid on some, though, I bid on that, that, that's Cereoni's, Cereoni's, Cereoni's, Cereoni's crystal helmet that I didn't get. Yeah, but that was it, what was that for? That was charity. All right, but it wasn't in this particular, you know, it wasn't that. But you do have your $3 team who pants, you're good. All right. Two team who pants is winning, but she's. You're not. 215, 592, 94, 94. All your phone calls coming up here. And we'll get to some of the underlying numbers about the off end. Welcome back, good day, show.

Who's this song about, Jalen? Me the man. Hughes, team who pants? Me. Drew Kendall, Kyle. Oh, really? Really lumpkin. Really lumpkin. Really lumpkin. Going out like Willie lump lump. No. No. But like we don't want him to do that. No, we want him to be great. No, he's going to be great, but he's still really lump lump. No, he's not. He's not. Why? Because that's really lump lump. We're just decided that he got. All right. Coming up. Stubborn Hughes. Yeah. Well, we have a lot of that. I think Ross Tucker will join us at 12. I'm excited to hear Ross's take on the O-line, the depth they've assembled, and how he would do this. Is it just as simple as Drew Kendall goes in at left guard? And we see what he's got? Or could they reconfigure it and move jerkets to left guard? Maybe Kendall to center. So we'll talk to Ross coming up at 12.30. A lot to get to, including with Donald McDabbs said yesterday afternoon show. Right now though, Kadeem is in. Hey, Kadeem. How you doing? What's going on, yo? Hey, Kadeem. What's up? Hey, yo, I just want to sit up here and just say that I think that, um, us is hilly fans sometimes. We get a little. To eager this week one.

We knew it was going to always set all off season. We know week one is going to be a little rough and a little choppy. We'll say this and then we see the three in outs. But what I love what I saw was Jalen and them pushing the ball down the field shot off the land, um, land, um, and Lane Dickerson because that works for him to come out here and take accountability from what we saw. We have eyes. I just feel as though Eagles, all we got to figure out is stop getting in second and 12, second and 13 things like that. If we could figure out first down and just get a little bit of chemistry going, he was pushing the ball down field. Jalen and me through the ball beautifully, um, Sunday. That's a, um, that was gotter in the back of the end. So many quarterbacks that can make that broke. Well, um, you heard. Well, it was a good throw. It was a good throw. I like that. He layered it in there. You kind of have touched throw it over the backers, you know, in front of the safety.

I feel like a pretty normal thought shelter that a, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, a quarterback. Well, it's not like, like, you know, we don't have to do that. He's the only guy that can make that throw. He said he didn't say it. The only guy. He said not too many. Let that be broke. No. I thought he played well too. I just felt like a lot of the plays were similar to last year though. Like I didn't see too much of the new stuff. And that's not a Jalen thing as much as that's just a, just an offense thing. Yeah. I mean, maybe it was a man you think. I mean, could he even good phone call? I think he, I think he played well. I mean, I, I gave it B plus. I mean, Kyle gave me an A-minis. The only guy that gave me a B on this show yesterday was who ducked with us. I was. I was. I was. I was. Hey, Monis is also. There's room for improvement. B plays. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. Yeah. Hey, Monis is also. There's room for improvement. B plus as well. B's just said being a hater is what that is. Let's talk to Frank and Galloway. Frank. What's up? Clickbait. Hey, Frank. Frank. I want to be. Mom, it's. I think Frank's talking to you. Wow. I'll put him on hold. We'll get, we'll get back to that. Chris in middle town up here. Chris, what's up?

Good morning afternoon, man. How we doing? Good. Chris, what's up? You're. You're. I don't even know why they let you on the air. Like. What I do. You're. Alas. Alas. You're always. Yeah. You're always. When it went back, then I started. What I do. Well, first of all, first of all, yesterday you proved that a whole world that players don't know ball. Uh, because. On Sunday, you came out and told us all about Malachi and how great he's going to be and he was a total epic flop. Not. And, you know, then, then, then you go. they know ball when you give go ahead and give him a B and Joe and Kyle that supposed to Jill and haters give him a higher grade. I mean you just like sir controversy let me tell you something what's going on with this team. First of all thank God landed Dick is saying playing because Joe what who needs credit for that is Joe from the morning show because he said he needs to be benched and team to say how he said well I was kind of listening to this guy WIP's bench and we listen to WIP so they benched him because talk to some

his fans they think that that legit how it goes like we complain and they actually do stuff but nonetheless I digress back to my point now I'm glad I'm glad that Lennon can is gonna get his chance so you know let let the young boys show what he's got and then as far as this whole Jill and I think man these Jill and I are just God they make my head explode so when they we've finally getting off into the coordinator schemes guys open wide to hell open and Jill and actually just froze the ball under all it's all Jill it was all Jill that did that they had nothing to do with it but before when he couldn't hit wide open guys or this often stuttered it was all the often coordinators fault because he couldn't scheme anything open and there was emotion or whatever we had to fire poor guys like Patsy Patulah have picked the hip for this guy so I don't know you can't have the both way Jill and I the reason why he's being successful with fondos successes in those big explosive

plays was because it was wide open everybody was going to throw that ball now here's the problem until he gets rid of until he gets rid of his freeing out disease and gets secure which I'm praying he does it's gonna take a few weeks we can't go go three and out three and out three and out against bad teams like the commies that were down our defense opened the door and we all got to sit there and watch the end of the game all tight and nervous and we can't really enjoy it easy win because that was a problem last year remember you were just eakin out ribs we were like why are we doing this why can't we just blow any video why can't we and it was a problem so Jill and I it's the reason why we're nervous about is because we fear like we're watching the same show over and we actually got it better off in support I don't know y'all make me crazy guys have you got a Chris we appreciate the phone call there um yeah it's an interesting first game for manion to kind of unpack here because there was a lot of knock rate right there's a lot of like again I I've been saying it for two days I can't I can't do the macaque lemon behind a line of scrimmage throws we just

got to stop those um but Chris is not wrong I mean the the plays that jell-on threw well and they go throws the receivers were open right I mean the first bomb to wick 64 yards he got open he was he was wide open the touchdown in the end zone to wicks was 90 tight tight throw tight windal throws anything no no and so I mean we could credit wicks for good routes we credit manion for the design got it open in the in the ends over the touchdown got it open down the middle of the field on the kind of weird play where the commanders were I don't know what the hell they were doing thinking there was a penalty so they were open I mean jell-on's got it ultimately make the throw and he made all those throws and they were all good throws but there was some good there at manion I mean they're open right that that's he's part of that oh no no no question about that and like I said I saw some some plays that weren't hit that look like they're pretty good design plays and it's just gonna just take time for the quarterback to be able to see him in trust trust those plays yeah and there's probably a couple were jell-on ran that if he stays in there maybe there is someone coming up across open and that's gonna be trust the old line's gotta be better and the dickers thing plays into this and we'll see who's up next 215-592-94-5 our Ross Tucker will join us at 12th

third day we'll get everyone's phone calls up we have to hear from Donna McAdhabi Estra his thoughts on the offense what he saw and something Donna been said that we clearly have to blame Hugh Douglas for it's it's spreading what you has done here over the past few months is spreading to other Eagles legends will hear from Donna the next all your phone calls on jell-on or you convince you run this offense after game number one and the offensive line how concerned are you with Lan and Dickerson heading to the injured reserve that's all next your phone calls it's the midday show on sports radio 94 WIP a new football season brings some big questions who makes the playoffs who wins the division who takes home the title on Calche America's number one prediction market platform they lead trade those predictions in a live market i thought the most impressive team on both sides of the ball in the a fc week one Baltimore new coach new offense the defense they dominated they dominated the cults i fit they're trading at 15% right now to win the a fc this could be the year to their year to get to the cerebral 100 dollar trade on Baltimore to win the a fc pays out six hundred twenty nine dollars and twenty two cents on Calcury trade it gets peers in a live market meaning there's no house as a probability changes you could

college but are before we go back to the phone is clear down to mcdab yesterday his thoughts on the eagles offense what he saw and what he thinks they got to fix your here's done of an yesterday on the afternoon job we almost lost this game like really let's be honest we almost lost this game a win is the win is great you almost lost because if that if that guard would their guard would have stayed on the tackle on the shovel pass it would have been a tie game it's so it's just really to be honest with you we have to look at it in a sense because being former athletes and analysts we got to break it down in the sense that that we got a lot to clean up and out enough is the coordinator I don't know if it's their practices or whatever but there are a lot of things that has to be changed well i agree i mean i it's yesterday's or sundays game is it's like almost like how you want to view it there definitely if we view it in terms of there's nowhere to go put up then you should be very optimistic right but if you also view it from man they had a lot of three and out again and they didn't move the ball consistently only attend first downs in the game it's kind of a weird offensive that the comparison i had

yesterday was almost like watching a philly's game of the hit four home runs and they win four to three and you're like wow those four home runs are great but like why we strike out 14 times we got to be more more consistent this segment sponsored by bet three six five are you the other thing that donovan said yesterday that i'm holding you personally responsible for can we hear donovan's take on the eagles first round pick macaie lemon of course had minus five yards in his debut here's donovan think when i think of melancholy you know melancholy man i look at him as being on you kind of an extension of the way we use uh westbrook of being more of a guy that you go up against the third corner on linebacker and you run off she rafslet uh where he may run out he may sit down at six he may run a slant uh he'll be very effective in uh that versus that third third corner where now he runs a deep cross route or or maybe a basic uh or something to that effect but i just didn't see us utilizing the ability because i wanted to see divante being moved around as well

i'd say if there's nothing else that should motivate macaie uh lemon in the city to play better is his the fact that we can't pronounce his name to save our life none of us you calling him malachai i don't know what the hell you called him a totally different name as a fuse the calling by his name and i forget what his real name is it's macaie lemon i was about to say i am probably how you threw me in me he was there with the other thing what did you call him macaie yeah i made the same mistake yeah you want to get the same for yourself uh what's up five by knowing the time i know he hit for marijuana nine i'm just like hey it's my quarterback you know what i mean i mean i don't know what to say malachai but you started this i did not yeah you did you draft not you did it you did you you you poisoned the well i mean it's hard to admit like listen man they're they're certain hey alright almost here are you ready just grabbing my shoes that's what you said 10 minutes ago i just wrapped a video call uploading this giant file on my tablet looking at my watch group

game like it was all well at the James they plan who who's the other guy don't matter it does matter now because all I see is the back of his name on the jersey because he was running for like a hundred or something I y'all are today you played the run better yeah maybe there's that there's there's that little caveat but still the point is it's it's it's when you start making plays ain't nobody gonna forget your name well I agree I mean yeah I think we need to have let's start baby steps positive yards on Sunday can we agree on that yeah because he negative two already for the season what may I mean no because I we he was negative three I'm counting the the preseason you can't count the third preseason he was three he had plus three yeah so he right at negative two yeah this might be the saddest justification for stats I've ever heard all right 215 592 94 Nifer Frank and Galway back up on wip Frank hey guys all right hey Frank what's up not much so I got to agree with with the Donovan saying and you know I mean if this wasn't too long

to go this game would have been looked at more like you know it was almost a loss and why like I know you you'll say it was a division game I've talked about that yesterday and I don't think I don't think there's a lot of intensity I don't think it's a rob already more which we need to use and Washington that gets a bit long gone but um you know you were watching to look at like a moral victory a moral victory because they had a bad team that year and we you can say well we have a new offense of coordinator well they have a new offense and defense of coordinator so they can be looking at it saying we didn't let up 30 against the Eagles I mean they can be happy two right now that they have less one the game away at their first game I mean it's not just the Eagles first game like you heard everybody saying all over their waves here all it's the first game well the first game for everybody so you need to mean like they play in and we wherever whenever they play again you know yeah well they had to play around Halloween so Frank it's one of those things I think time will give us more perspective on the game you know if Washington turns out to be

improved from last year maybe we say all right it makes sense if Washington turns out to be a really bad team and a really bad defense we might look back and say that shouldn't have been as close as it was yeah we let them in that game and the defense of coordinator for I mean everyone wants to analyze everything right I mean all over the internet all over the air waves it's people are analyzing everything all of a sudden for the last two three years you know the main statistics for quarterback is wins and losses you know I started basically a think around here but whatever I mean you know the coordinator for ahead the Redskins can be saying well you know Don I mean I don't jail and put up a perfect game against me last year 150 rating and I mean like you can be happy that you know they get they have them crewmen they can stay on their side so it goes both ways that's all I'm saying what does I mean that and that's why week one is is always and Frank good phone coach for week one is always one of the most interesting ones to talk about here because we don't really know much about these teams that we could be wrong and I do think we we go into it just wanting to see the positive right because they look they won and there were some good things so we

want to take that and jump off and say this is it and then we'll only get better we'll see I mean that's that's the whole thing I mean it's like anything you you go into it like I said it's like building home like into this game there's something different we all watch it differently right and that's why the first thing I will always says you fan the way you think I'm not I'm not here to gatekeep the way that you fan I looked at it as a great start because at the end of the day like Donovan said the first thing you want to do is is is winning a is there a lot of work to be done yes because here's the here's the reality of the NFL no matter how well you play I guarantee you that you go into those means and there's something you could have did better and that's always pointed out that's just the life that you live in but that but the bottom line is you want to win and it's the first game just like Frank said it's everybody's first game this is true and the Washington Commodore is looking at it like hey we went toe-to-toe with the Philadelphia Eagles they should feel good because guess what they were in the NFC championship when I'm a couple years ago so they they should

feel good about that because they were there a couple years ago and they did beat the Detroit lines in Detroit so that's not far from us is not like it's the New York Jets coming in saying that they play the Eagles well it's it's a totally different ball game they've had success kind of recently yes so it's that that that one that dog doesn't hunt but I get where you're coming from and like I said everybody watches the game differently I had friends of mine called me yesterday text me yesterday when I talked about it said it they play like trash that's a fair assessment that's a fair assessment when the bar is raised high but I don't expect the Eagles to look like a Super Bowl contender week one of the season because just like we talk about the the rounds are Super Bowl contenders and they look bad they they didn't look like Super Bowl contenders week one of the season but guess who did the San Francisco 49 is just a small sample size for everybody and week one sometimes lies yes and sometimes we don't even know what we're seeing who was that no wait a minute a couple years ago wasn't it who went for an old at the beginning of the season was it Jacksonville somebody had maybe

it was somebody who had uh uh it happens pretty up like fairly often you know they have a they have a hell of a start to the season wasn't it on nose the Saints it was the Saints it was the Saints they were two and oh and they scored like everybody was talking about the first week we went down there we put foot we put foot in everybody all the arms that that was a lie that the Saints two and oh start was a lie 2012 Eagles it went four and 12 start three and one well they started they definitely started off two or three and oh yeah yeah you're right I mean um then they win in Cleveland very ugly week one I'm trying to remember the the start of that season I think it was in Cleveland week one the twenty two for this happens all the time right so it's it's everything that everybody's saying right now is fair and and a week from now we're going to look back and have different opinions on week one yes I'll give you an example last year the week one game I heard spikes at a see I grew with him he said yesterday that this year's week one kind of remind him of last year's week one for the Eagles they beat the Cowboys Jalen ran a lot right they scored 24 points it was kind of close and then we said all right you know let's build from here oh within a few weeks we started to realize that Cowboys defense was awful we should

have scored more points right and let me give you an example this week the commanders are going to go play the Cowboys let's see if the Cowboys put up 40 on the commanders then I think we will say hmm we should have scored more on the commander but but the opposite rings true to you if the commanders beat the Cowboys or if the commanders hold the Cowboys to 17 or 20 then then maybe we'll be like maybe that commander's defense is better than we thought it's a small sample of ourselves we don't we there's a lot we don't know it's a small sample size like I said fan the way you want a fan man but but it's I just find it kind of odd that that we're talking about you people are like the air they're annoying it this and that and other people stinks with one sent one game sample size and that and that's what it is it's one game yeah and there's there's certain teams and units and players you could just you kind of pencil in there their performance you kind of just know like the Eagles defense I think we we generally agree they're going to be really good the other side the offense we don't know they weren't good last year they've been good in the past we'll see as time goes on with bet three six five really pay out you win even if they lose get paid out instantly when your team goes up big even if they blow the lead later bet three six five

winning is everything gambling problem called 100 gambler 21 plus only must be physically located in pencil they are coming up we will talk to Ross Tucker at 1230 your phone calls throughout 215 592 94 94 your take on the Dickers situation I'm concerned about the old line and is one game the game we saw on Sunday enough to convince you Jellins got it with this office your plus let's do our first check in down in Tennessee kind of a weird game we have coming up Sunday against a non-descript bad opponent but they're a mess already maybe the biggest mess outside the browns in the NFL we're going to check in coach Robert Salad down there already feel in the heat and an awesome sports radio call down in Tennessee about just how bad our next opponent is you'll hear that next your phone calls midday show sports radio 94 WIP. I That's not the end of the camera ain't it I was in the stream I was in the stream I did it

but I think that Glenn Campbell that ain't going camera Kenny Kenny Rogers Oh the gambler yeah yeah welcome back it's a midday show he's the guy you revived from the day yeah yeah we we thought we we thought Kenny was back but he wasn't Oh Kenny was I hit kick and he would the people no you know you should use your powers on Dolly that we miss her you know it's funny man well not funny but I that's why I was trying to stay away from because I went out when I figured I was Kenny Rogers I just was trying to lay out because on Dolly they both in the upper room yeah legends legends and Eagles of course going to Nashville on Sunday and match up with the Titans now the game itself doesn't seem like it's gonna have a lot of buzz the Titans are a terrible team but they're a terrible team that we're getting at a good time because they are a mess of a franchise can we hear Robert Salah their new head coach you so the the Titans open up their their new season with their new head coach Robert Salah they get boot off the field after losing at home to the jets here's here Salah on dealing with booze in his first game.

I like work to do in this with this with this team right now but still to hear booze in your first game on the sideline that's that's got to hurt dad I mean it's it comes with territory but when you look when you lose your loser yeah tough start I mean it is but I mean there's no lies being told man you got it you know you got stuck that one up yeah while you do and they lost at home to the jets so I always think and I believe this here at WIP and really everywhere that the most authentic you're going to get from fans is is on local talk radius let's let's uh can we take a little listen into what they were saying yesterday down a national about the Eagles next opponent George in the burrow to the program George good morning thank you for calling in gentlemen good morning I got a couple thoughts from yesterday everything about yesterday was a disaster from the play on the field uh to stadium operations entertainment uh I don't know if you guys saw this on social media this fanboy do the cam ward song I don't know if you guys saw that they played that song uh during

warm-ups when can in the offense came on the field I first of everything about that song is embarrassing I could not believe they played that song do the cam ward during warm-ups I thought that was a joke I could not believe that um the P.A. announcer he sucks he doesn't read from the right cards during the time out uh this whole tighten up thing they want us to chant on third down that stupid and then the game was over after swi kick the ball out of bounds I mean I don't know if I've ever seen a team season and on an opening kickoff and I think it's okay to say this Borgonzi saw and cam these aren't the guys Borgonzi he sucks there's good moving companies in this area to help them start packing we all know he's next in line to go all uh he's a loser nobody's gonna argue that and then when it comes to cam I I'm with you Robbie I'm not sure cam ward is an NFL quarterback I mean he is terrible talk about a mistake it was

to give this guy Warren Moon's number and it's such a tragedy what has happened to this football team and Borgonzi he has not made this football team any better and I think what we've got there's 30 NFL teams out there then there's 50 feet of horse manure then there's the browns and the tightens and this season's over okay this this season is over so congratulations to Amy Adam Strunk congrats to Borgonzi and congrats the Burton I Hill they have turned a once competitive team into an excuse making sorry non-competitive bunch of losers this whole organization is a bunch of losers that's what they are losers that's all I've got guys thank you George George kind of dropped the mic that's an awesome phone call I love how you ripped the PA announcer in the building in quarterback the GM the owner the coach Salah he's a loser everybody caught a little bit of that the PA announcer's reading from the wrong cards

that's tough he said their season was over when the kicker kicked the ball out of bounds of oh probably he is right yeah that team is it's a waste of time I mean that's a bottom apparently yeah they're gonna come out swinging to it's going swinging did you hear that guy the season ended no but like listen now you've been on teams like this Titan steam I knew it was coming I was trying to beat you to it what's it like to be on a loser football team I mean they do have some 90s jets vibes the your experience of being on a loser football I was trying to beat y'all to it it's a little it's a little soft to landing when I do it myself it's supposed to ring y'all do it but you you play you you try to salvage as much as you possibly can so they're probably you know this week you know the coach called you you know what they used to say it travels downhill so the coach says it's there and he talks bad they he is talk bad about so he about to come to locker room and they about to talk bad to y'all yeah so now you're gonna get a team that's gonna be highly motivated

not to go o and 2 at home you know what I mean so this is not you know and people's all is it everybody do this NFL and any team on any given Sunday can win a football game I know y'all we hate cliches around I know but this should be a double this should be a double this should be but I would I wouldn't I mean that they're gonna put up a fight they're gonna put up a fight for at least the first half you have to you have to take that spirit away from them quickly and so what I mean by that is we can't we can't let them hang around and we've been known we had the propensity from time to time to allow teams to do that oh goodness but a team this bad and then this is saying we cannot like we we're still trying to find our identity and and I'm all for trying to do that but we can't let this team hang around man can't do it well this should be a double to win anything less is it disaster well think about it the 2023 team the 2025 team they let teams hang around and they weren't that great the 2014 let's just be real if the 2014 play the team

like this they win the game by 30 points tell you what if if this team hangs around it's gonna be a bad if we win and this team hanging around probably will be a rough money oh I mean anything less than a double digit win feels like an L I mean this team stinks this is a must win with style yes I mean you you heard that guy it's the 50 feet in the nor it's the Browns and Titans even their PA announcer sauce we should we should drag that team and George bury them live on right yeah I mean bury them the owner of the coach's quarterback I think my favorite part might have been like solos a loser no one would disagree with that he's right but a loser in the coachy career the who's there all right let's go back to the fuck there Jeff in one week to go pay Jeff just goes to show you that every team has a chuck from down area in their fan base they do and you know what you got you got a little on the air let him cook yep fashion well and then that guy's case it was okay but I mean you got you know the guys like hey our rides almost here are you

not he can run this offense well after one game of the hold on after one game of not playing anybody and any starters in the preseason we didn't see any of these guys in the preseason at all no video of the whole team playing so what are we what are we supposed to do we have to go by if this is what it is it was pretty good for nobody practicing and it looks like they've got their stuff together landed Dickerson is a problem don't get me wrong yeah yeah so I will say this I think you know and played well like I said yesterday and that b plus I think signals that is a great yeah he played well but I didn't think the plays that were successful was much of the new stuff it looked like the old stuff and that's not on jail and that's just on what they called and what ended up being successful like when I watch some of the teams with new offenses I felt like I was watching new offenses the Eagles offense they tried some of it and we saw it but those plays weren't very successful and then the the stuff that worked felt like a little bit of the old stuff shotgun

throws down the sidelines which are cool and they I mean that's jail is good at that but it's not like I didn't see enough of the new stuff to say are you we're locked in there and that's also what he's really good at is down the field stuff right and running and then I heard you guys talking about you mainly talking about well Jaylin didn't there wasn't any design runs what do we want do we want to got it run the ball or not who cares whether it's designed or not that's the whole problem I have like we're nitpicking so tight on this guy when he runs the ball really well and it was the one run really kind of helped him you know who ultimately who knew they like complained that it was just an observation yeah because that is that allowed what I guess but why why make a big deal out of it why do we make a big deal about it I just brought it up yeah I just had to bring things up dude why do I have to be such a baby about I can't say one thing that I observed from the offense bringing up because it's interesting it's interesting we're trying to figure out what this looks like and it's interesting to just kind of

dissect what we saw that's all that don't let don't let them talk to you like that yeah I'm not dude Kyle tried try try try to control from me and the thing just hey when I put a successful least strong on the phone he like to do it every day I like you get me on land in Dickerson because I did have questions I wasn't sure about that but now I'm sure it might be a problem but that was Jaylin what she does dude he tries to bully me man he's okay to that I don't try I succeed what are you like 65 you guys are what I'm six I'm 61 and I could probably take you all right fellas fellas japted phone call it's all we have fellas that's relax usually I'm gonna tell you to stop it you know what that kind of stuff I'll fight Jeff come on speaking of fight I saw her last night you fought her I'm just saying I just saw her

last time he's doing did he fight somebody no I'm just saying okay so I guess I'm confused to where the speaking of fight came with I don't know I just heard I did here yesterday the afternoon show that said that herb is in detention I don't know what he did on the afternoon show but he I think he's in like afternoon show jail want to play with me I'm not sure what happened to her on the afternoon show but I'm just I'm surprised that herb got himself in a hot water and then at some point you live on the edge you fall over the edge sometimes and that that sounds like our guy her we're gonna talk to Ross Tucker coming up here in a couple minutes about week one what he saw the offense and I'm gonna shouldn't Ross's take on the offensive line configuration now without landing Dickerson how big of a deal is this he's thoughts on Drew Ken I mean Ross we love to have a Ross on but specifically his thoughts on the offensive line he would the backup offense line especially because he because Ross brought me well and he also was also some line and he broadcast the Eagles Precise games right so he probably watched more of the snaps intently which drew Kendall and Willie Lampkin than anybody made me in the world right because he's he's he's calling every single play we're watching and you know I watched Precise games

but he's calling every single place for Ross we'll join us in a couple minutes here to discuss all that archwinter question Hugh Douglas as I find my paper here because we always got to get to our Twitter questions sponsored by the PI dental center your smile is the first thing others see when they meet you learn about schedule your evaluation at PI dental center dot com are you still going with 78% yes do you even know what the questions are okay we got a couple today did Sunday prove we're confirmed to you that Jaylen Hertz can run this offense at a high level yes or no no 85% 77% yes yes it was your favorite thing you should have just stuck with this all right one more what's your concern level right now with the Eagles offensive line now Hugh we did to have three options here so I need you to do a little quick math um not concerned a little concerned or very concerned where do you think the largest vote came from I would say a little concern is the largest vote at I'm gonna say 45% 61% are a little concerned oh wow 29% are very concerned okay only 10%

are not concerned so here there's different ways to look at that but 90% of people have some level of concern yeah only 10% have no level of concern all right let's talk to a guy that certainly can maybe make us feel better and give us some thoughts on how this all could work out after the Lennon Dickerson injury to start this season our guy we talked to him every Tuesday NFL on CBS and of course the Eagles during the preseason Ross Tucker joining us right now on the midday show Ross how are you awesome how you guys doing pretty good pretty good we're sitting up here kind of going back and forth of about what we saw week one of the season and I'm kind of curious Ross what was your overall set assessment of the Eagles offense week one of the season I would say interesting and probably not what I expected you know I is that way man Ross is that good a bad it's neither okay I mean like it was good for Dallas gotter it was good for Jalen Hertz it was not as good for the run game except for the one run by Saquon not as good for the offensive line maybe not as good for

Devonte Smith although I don't know that he got as many targets as maybe he would have liked or they should have you know it's funny because I think I picked the game to be like 2417 so it was about what I thought it would be and offensively I has been saying for months that I thought they'd have growing pains and that it would take some time I will say and he touched on this with you guys last night land in Dickerson really struggled and I give him a ton of credit for being out there that dude is tough as nails the things he's played for or played with for this organization are extremely impressive but he he used the word liability so I'll just use his word but you can't have five to ten plays where one position is really hurting you

and that was the case with you know it's hard enough with the new offense it's hard enough when you're going up against the first time decordinator who's got some pretty nifty blitzes he's sending your way and then you have your left guard who's injured at the point where he really shouldn't be out there I I fully expect them to to take a pretty decent jump in week two just being in the offense and also having a healthy guy there at left guard now I will say this I I assume it's going to be a Drew Kendall okay I'd be surprised if it's not he's going to go against on a decent amount of snaps I guy I think is the best defensive tackle in the NFL I know and Philly people don't watch the Titans that much Jeffrey Simmons is a bad bad man days of beast so this is like for Drew Kendall that they better help them but this is going to be I hope he has a 10 year career I hope he's a starter somewhere maybe Philly for a long time but this is going to

be his welcome to the NFL moment because he hasn't played a ton of guard center at Boston college center last year played some more guard in the preseason but blocking Simmons in one-on-one pass pro which I'm pretty sure the Titans will try to get lined up as much as they can the Eagles will try to counter that by sliding to him but this will be the good news for Drew Kendall is it'll only get easier from here after this game on Sunday it's a good point Ross curious your your thoughts on the configuration and and how you what do you think though the path the least resistance or the best idea for the Eagles is so Jeff Beclaim reported and I think most of us think it's going to be Drew Kendall is the guy in for landing but Jeff reported that it's possible the Eagles move land cam jurgens to left guard and let Drew Kendall who was a college center play center your thought I mean you you live this life the way my thing is that would be changing two positions instead of just one that feels like a lot to me but you was talking about how maybe that protects Kendall center

as a spot he has help on both sides your thought on the the best way you think they should fix this in passive spot up putting Kendall in put Kendall left guard yeah you said it exactly right Joe there's no reason to move to guys cam jurgens to my knowledge has not taken a single snap at guard since his second year which was 2023 and even when he did that was right guard now you want to put him probably for the first time in his life in a left handed stance I think that's a terrible idea I believe that Jeff thinks that's a possibility or that someone told Jeff that that's a possibility I would think that perhaps that would maybe be a little bit of gamesmanship to try to have it so that the Titans don't lock in on putting Jeffrey Simmons over Drew Kendall every play but I would say in my mind I think there's a 99.5 percent no I'll just go 99 99 percent chance

it'll be Drew Kendall at left guard I thought he played really well in the preseason by all accounts everyone I talk to everyone's highly encouraged by him and this is an opportunity for him I mean I guess he'll be in there for at least four weeks but landed on I.R this is a real opportunity for Drew Kendall to show what he can do and I have been this guy before three years in fact where I they never wanted me to start in the opener because I look like crap in one on ones but three years in a row I win in when a guy got hurt and they left me and I stayed in so it's too really to say that we don't know how long landed will be out we don't know how Kendall will play but this is an opportunity for him to change his life if he goes out there and plays very well and the Eagles offense rolls you know it's kind of I'm kind of curious that you said it like that Ross because normally you're not supposed to lose your job to injury right but since this so early in the season do you think there is a possibility if Kendall comes in and he plays extremely well

that that landed becomes the backup I think coaches are very hesitant to mess with what's working so it will primarily be how Kendall performs but a little bit it has to do with how the entire offense is doing if they're moving the ball well and Kendall's doing a terrific job both run and pass I think it would be a it would take a lot for them to move him out of there they'd have to be very very confident that landing is 100% and that he's going to go in there and be superior if Kendall's out there really playing well and to rest Ross Tucker with us here as we have him on of course the show every Tuesday Ross big picture NFL week one one thing that stood out especially in the game that you did down in Houston was all the points the highest scoring week one in NFL history which is a little bit of surprise and considering defense seemed like it took over the lead the last couple years Ross a blip maybe week one because no one's tackling each other

and in the preseason what what did you make obviously the game you watch was crazy in front of you but all across the league like we people are excited to hear about the Eagles because it looked a little better than last year I look up this morning they were 17th and points scored I mean there's 50 there's 49 there's 59 and with the Bears a lot of points week one what do you make of it well I was surprised because the first game Patriot C-OX is 1310 yep the second game the Ramscourt 7.7 so I was not expecting that many points at all I think it's a function really of two things number one new scheme wrinkles it's tough for defenses you know these guys these offensive coaches just spent six months trying to come up with new things that the defense had never scouted before and that works both ways a little bit but the defense still has to react to the personnel groupings and what the offense is doing by the way major trends of more under center and more tight end usage the other

thing though is tackling if you watch last night the tackling for the Broncos was horrendous I mean here you have the Texans and Broncos a lot of people would have said the two best defense in the NFL last year they both give up over 30 points you know and they both had their chances but the Broncos couldn't tackle and the Texans had chances for turnovers from Josh Allen that they didn't cash in on and if you don't he's usually going to make you pay you know we're also kind of curious what was your assessment of of Jaylen's play in this new office in the first game I was highly encouraged yeah if you're like if you're talking biggest positives from the game yes I thought Jaylen looked very comfortable I thought he made some tremendous throws I thought he looked faster than he did last year when he ran made the right decisions to throw the ball away made the right decisions to run I would say that was better than I thought Hertz would look in week one especially considering

the offensive line issues I mean and that just offensive line I mean you got Seikwon getting trucked by sunny style you know you know what's funny too you you appreciate this you know I watched the game back and Brady said the same thing I would have said which is like you got to get low I think Seikwon almost got too low no he was he was low he just got he got ran over he got too low and he stopped his feet he didn't he didn't sit and dip up into sunny styles like he needed to and he got but you know what one thing that love about the NFL you got Seikwon it makes 20 million a year star they got a rookie coming in you got to earn it every play every day that kid doesn't care who Seikwon is he ran right over him wasn't good for the Eagles but it was it was pretty cool to watch from a pure football stand like that special teams guy for the commanders oh yeah he was balled I'm not exaggerating that is one of the best football plays I've ever seen in my life

everybody listening if you haven't seen it just look up I think his name's Tyler Jones look up commanders special team savage versus the Eagles I have never seen a guy just taking names on a play like that and then Kuffy tries to jump over a dude like he gets cut the shoulder that was that was that was that was what I live for individual efforts like that there was a lot of great once a week but a fun week one Eagles get the win Ross you had a fun game to broadcast we'll talk to you next week Ross enjoy the rest of your week and hopefully Eagles are two and our next time we talk thank you Ross you guys there he goes Ross Tucker with us as he is every Tuesday coming up we'll get everyone's phone calls and we'll get to what I think is a really big week for the Phillies to put the hammer down on a playoff spot we'll give it the updated settings fills in Washington tonight we'll talk about it it's a midday show on sports radio 94 WIP welcome back midday show Hugh Douglas Joe Jill you guys with us 215 592 94 94 and here we're wrapped up in the Eagles right now week one of the NFL season the books we are

but you kind of flying under radar though who's that kuba D gene well and we brought it up yesterday on the radar how well you know he like he can get he can get that I mean I mean to bring it up like you know the bass you know man but he you know I've seen some of the you know people talking about the fate that maybe he had too much fun and offseason stuff well we did bring it up 11 o'clock yesterday right he didn't play well I thought it was his worst game as an eagle my favorite theory was that he and blanket ships separated in their powers divided there might be some to it very exciting white well because the blanket ship sock to the Texans got cooked by a one they lost it home yep so do we have to trade for read back is that then what a safe the season I'm just I'm just I'm throwing ideas exciting whites I thought to gene really struggled on Sunday I think it that's one like I'm seriously monitoring I'm not panic that's one bad game he was an all-pro I'm sure you know like I'm I'm on it to her in it sure and I think there's a big difference between the reaction to and rightfully so the D'Agean thing and the landing thing like the landing thing is an extension of last season yes the gene is a bad game like landing it's like holy crap the old line sock to he was injured went the Columbia for stem cell therapy then just

sucked again and now he's on the IR again I think that's a pretty massive difference between like Cooper gene who's been rock solid for two years of a row and just had a bad game the one thing that I do think is on the table is and I don't know this I'm just wondering did he put on a little bit of weight muscle whatever one tabby tabby to want to be put just to be maybe a little heavier to play safety and it's it's it's it's it's like you want a bash Cooper I don't know I didn't do you know I'm not I'm not you know who's thanks Cooper I didn't do it I just you know that's not the case it's kind of felt like you wanted to know it's not your sense in this show yeah I am I am you're co-signing this of course you like you know what you know who deserves a little more bastion no everyone's favorite nickel corner get up because it was a it was a story that popped over my phone this is six struggling Eagles starters after week one and I just thought and and and Cooper's land in let me see if I can guess it would have read it land in cam Cooper well struggled Malika

well he's a starter I mean he's a does he count yeah I know not yet I mean it clicked the store show me sure give the guy clicker the person to click and wonderful I will click the store since we're here I mean like I'm trying to bash yep all right while you click that we can talk about baseball you click that I just I just want to put it on one's radar it's a big week for the Phillies and I need them can the can the Phillies show me some urgency starting tonight because they slept walk through that weekend in Atlanta that was embarrassing I didn't I didn't need the Bryce Harper you know walking around the bases on Saturday at like but here's the deal the Phillies have two separate situations playing on once the the chances to win the division have all gone away but they still are close enough to the cubs where they can jump them for the four seed and get that wild card series here in Philadelphia but here's something else is played out that I think we need to keep our eye on there only a game up on the Padres for the six seed so maybe they won't even play the cubs they may end up having to play at land in the first round that affects who they'll play in the second round one last thing to keep an eye on they do have a three and a half game cushion for a playoff spot that should be more than good enough with 12 games to play

mm-hmm should be I need the Phillies to take care of this by the time they get home next week and they need to be up five games when they get home and that we don't have to discuss like are they gonna make the playoffs next week that should not be a discussion heading into the final weekend of the season no it shouldn't be it shouldn't be now that again three and a half games as a solid cushion but you know when you get to the end of the season one good day one bad day changes these percentages so much right that they have a great day tonight they win dime a back slew's they'll be up four to half games and we'll say all right let's just that they're in but they're not like the last two weeks they've puttered around it up progressed a little bit yeah they're not they haven't clinched anything yet so the nationals are not good take care of businesses next two days they go play the bets this weekend but here the one thing about this week I think is interesting these teams want to play spoiler right you're playing division opponents on the road that are not good teams mm-hmm they have nothing to play for left except to ruin your season the Phillies need to just just play just wake up and play good baseball this week yeah I mean I think that's important because you're right because if you know you're not going to the to the to the dance yep you want to try to stop somebody else

going to the dance so you you can't allow that to happen especially when we we just seem like we were just talking about last week how how good they were playing it didn't chase rate chase rate all of a sudden became another issue and and you know pictures getting hurt so yeah that we're we're leaking all a little bit but you can you're still in a good spot they are and now but they have to hold that they should win four of these six games against the bets and the nats and come home either locked into a playoff spot or you know are about to clinch it in the beginning and next week and next week they play two good teams so I don't want to have to go into the final weekend of the season saying up and clinch the spot yet so that we've been watching the cubs thing and the brave thing for two weeks let's keep an eye on the other parts of this thing did you find the the six Eagles that struggles yes I did I did it it okay I'm gonna start from the beginning so land in can Cooper the gene Cooper uh Andrew McCuba I thought it was okay okay I said McCuba had a some nice moments laying out big his but he still shows signs of struggling coverage okay he finished the game with just one tackle all right football focus only gave him a 67.3 overall grade ranking 35 out of 75 six all right then you got no respect hmm he's like he's in the same boot as the

boot as the gene and he was able to create six pressures and six hurries but he didn't play as well as he could okay crazy cam jargons yeah can number four cam certainly and numbers and number six was macaque lemon yeah but he doesn't he shouldn't be on the list no I'm just saying he was on the list I know I know I hear you who you know I want to give credit to wrote the story do I want to give credit I'm just saying we're talking about someone's story here I think the Nolan one feels a little much for me he's looking for six satisfying someone else but Nolan was fine but McCuba was funny melis Anthony Miller wrote this all right good job hey let it go Anthony got a shout out from Hugh Douglas so that's a highlight right there I don't need this picture I just need I'm just saying I just think it was an avenue for Hugh to rip Cooper to Jean it wasn't it was it was it was just one of the stories that just popped up on the feet you know what's on my radar a lot of hater comments on my radar yeah it's Cooper struggles against against me one Dell Robinson on Sunday one deal you're coming in here Monday sounding alarms I am not I know what he's gonna do when I told you so even though right now he's being like I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not I wasn't I wasn't

I'm sure it would have perfectly lead in the top two mirror moments of all time leading into mirror live tonight the Scottish right auditorium that's all next your phone calls in the one o'clock hour on sports radio 94 WIP we're live from the TastyCase studio 94 WIP footballers back people and fallers in the air and I am ready for the TastyCase seasonal lineup yes I am they got the bake pumpkin pies they bring pumpkin filling inside a traditional pie crust while spice cake crimp is mmm combined classic spikes cake with buttercream icing their perfect for tailgates watch parties or whenever you need a taste of the fall tonight is the night mirror live with the Scottish right auditorium in college you know you know you know as this countdown was happening I was thinking about what the calls were going to be and you know it makes sense for of course that the two that we didn't get to one yet we're going to get to in a second but the two calls that we think are the two calls here are them but you know I got to give Merrill Merrill a ton of credit he really nails the moment in both serbose he's right the 2024 Eagles and it took us a while to realize

it because they didn't start off great yeah that was the most dominant Eagles team of all time they balled out man no question about it and and the way that they played that game against cancer the chief nobody nobody felt like it was going to be the way that it was well they met they Eagles met the moment Merrill met the moment that's the most dominant Eagles team we've ever seen and then of course there is number one and speaking of meeting the moment Merrill calls it perfectly as the Eagles take down the Patriots through bull 52 to win their first through bull title sports radio 94 WIP celebrates Merrill Reese's 50th year is the voice of the Eagles with another top 50 Merrill moment ready rise the block he's back again he steps on he's hit he stumbles he is throwing it deep for the end zone and it is better to run and and the game is over the game was over the so is the Eagles are superbow champions Eagles fans everywhere this is for you let the celebration begin

top 50 Merrill moments from sports radio 94 WIP presented by PNC Bank and Impreano Roofing and Sighting you a couple of things hit me every time I hear that call one how loud that building was rarely does the last play of the stream will have any atmosphere right because it's not a home game it's so it's split crowd yeah and most times the game is over right someone's taken a knee I mean not not many circles literally come down to the final play that call has an atmosphere to it because it's about to be a Hail Mary and the second thing is how long that Brady Hail Mary hung up in the air you could hear Merrill like waiting and waiting and waiting to kind of finally make sure he sees that the ball hits the ground it's not a touch on anything or catch it's a it's a great call and then you know Eagles fans this is for you that it's it's an unbelievable moment it of course is number one of the list yeah no question about that man I remember watching it with my son man at the time and I remember after the game we kind of both cried and was like hey we're going to fill and I remember him pulling you out of school

and me him jumping on the highway and driving up the filling I remember do Carolina because I was calling ask because I was driving through the night and and I got pulled over and the officer was like why are you going so fast said I said hey officer I'm trying to get to the Eagles parade and he said slow down and that was it I mean and I was getting it like anybody's ever written with me they know how I get down especially driving through the night but when I told him where we were going and he looked he said hey just slow it down and that was it and we made it here right in time for the parade that was that was phenomenal I was it would listen it was a special moment you know for the franchise the city and the way he called it the end it was it was for everyone here and the celebration did begin what a celebration it was and what a countdown the Merrill the top 50 Merrill moments we have to I guess we have to plan something at one o'clock every day now he's kind of had this you know locked in here for a month and a half what are you going to do I'm going to do more work can we just replay these over and over we could I mean it's not good back to all 50 yeah we just do it again now tonight is Merrill live at the skydust right auditorium

in Collins with Donovan's going to be there you Douglas going to be there I agree it's going to be there it's going to be a great night and of course it's emcee by jota camera he's the host tonight for a great event Merrill live we've had fun with all the moments over the past few months here 215 592 94 94 let's go to Tanner and Philly who obviously shares Hugh Douglas's concern about Cooper Dijine Tanner what's going on guys hey Tanner what's up man first I got to say it was a beautiful fantasy football weekend I had a snowballs chance in hell of winning and Dallas got her has saved me wow so you're wanting to know I unfortunately I took an L because I left the Andre Swift on the bench in cowboy gym beat me so I'm struggling with that but I'm glad you won I'm glad you want Tanner yeah I am very sad you lost the cowboy gym that that's a shame it is that is a shame yes it's a bad look for me I acknowledge it but I do about to say I agree with you Coup this it's a little concerning he looked slow like he was getting beat a lot by these receivers that

I haven't even heard of a lot about so that's that's what's concerning um what was awesome though was watching reek and kringan locked down the outside but I'm worried this is kind of like uh what was that uh foreigner back we got from the raiders that we tried to transition to safety nondi was not not nondi it was somebody else I don't know what it was it was not it was not I don't think about nondi didn't play safety though no he just couldn't play in the scheme yeah he couldn't play in the scheme nondi because yeah what what he did in in Oakland wasn't the same as here yet nondi was a disaster um the other guy I think you may have been thinking of in his head was Byron Maxwell from Seattle then they caught him toast yeah well he was well the thing with him maybe Kyle maybe Kyle could find it there at his first game here by our Maxwell's a Monday night game in Atlanta and Julio Jones roasted the guy I mean for like a hundred something yards and he laughed after the game when they told him the stat line if that ended me that was that sound like more PTSD me and Byron were done after that go ahead Tanner no but um yeah it's like he I feel like he's

trying to do too many things at once um he put or I think he did put out a little wave in the offseason too to try to play safety to uh bulk up but it's just there's I think there's so many packages that he's doing too many different things he's got to watch the slot and then he's got to back out for the back out down the safety again I think there's just too much going on for him the master right now it's tough for an offseason to master a second position I agree I think I think you might be right on this that maybe his preparation for safety whether it be mental or physical and he's just not and the thing is you know I imagine until he get until he has a good game or plays while teams are going to start to attack him I thought the commanders went after him he when teams didn't do that them last year yeah they he got he the first I wasn't I wasn't bashing I mean I just asked the audience knows what happened here there was an agenda delivered today it was not agenda I asked the question because I was like wow like when we talking about all these other guys I was like coups kind of flying under the radar that's all I said so I think what's

you I think you're you were right um yesterday we brought up Dickerson as a concern right and Cooper but the Dickerson story took on a oversight of the cook yeah I look at it like he got double moved a lot it felt like he got double moved a lot I feel like that's the first game he's going to play better I feel like he just got fooled on a lot of the routes that they were running and that's just to me that's more concentration than anything yeah no I think I think it's better though with Dickerson because at least us as Philly fans we want answers for play like that we want to have a reason we don't want excuses and he gave us a reason he gave us the reason why it is and he's getting himself six. Coup we don't know what happened we don't know what's going on we're all just speculating right now yeah that's the worst part about you know fan is because you don't have answers you want answers you want these guys to play well but nobody's telling us anything and we just got a hope that he gets it fixed and oh okay well let me have a tell you is the first

game and they they working out the Kings because they have a prison. Oh stop. Yeah talk about why he asked for some answers I tried to help the man out. Yeah the Queen on Mitchell's first game you look fine I mean some guys adapt better than others. Yeah but I would have I would have rather had Coup play in the preseason because he is playing a new position yeah what what would have done better yeah I think they put I think they put him in that position and that's why they tried to explore yeah what he's still learning the nuance of that position. Yeah I see you know Tanner Goodful call man I do wonder so I think Episcop paying up in this game I do wonder like if if Cooper is struggling to cover in the slot I wonder if there's just a thought to get Michael Carter on the field and just play Cooper at safety he's probably really good at it. Why don't they just go get a freaking safety in the old season. Well they could have done that too yeah I mean but if Cooper is just more physically ready to play safety right now I mean tackling look fine he was when he was up in the box make it tackles against the run he was fine I mean there's I think he'd be fine at and I'm gonna say something else and I'm probably gonna get ridiculed after say it but they're probably

the matchup probably didn't favor Coup any the matchup that he was going in didn't probably didn't favor him every team is not gonna be able to match up with you like that. I mean I saw him get dusted by Adam feeling yeah who was like what when it's last night he was but he was like kind of crap he's last night. We thought about over years ago yeah man the matchup didn't favoring and you're talking about and you know what to that point that was a crafty vet that double moved him to death and and and kind of gave him a little bit trouble maybe that's supposed to yeah. Now I think what's interesting here the next two weeks is it was this like you guys were saying like maybe just a crafty vet maybe just a matchup thing or do teams attack him. Oh they're gonna try just don't don't don't get it twisted. Now you don't see some of them same sets and routes again. So the next two weeks it's gonna be one Del Robinson with the Titans who's more of a shifty kind of you know smaller slot guy and then I would think Luther Burton the second year receiver for the Bears a couple weeks from now so I would think Dave Ball and Ben Johnson next two weeks are gonna go after Cooper he's got to be better 215 592 94 94 your phone calls on the other side on all

this stuff we'll get you with you people at 145 and we have to get to a few things next week one of football in the books. A lot of people having a tough time we're gonna have to go through it and maybe try to help them out but get some audio out there like woo tough moments for some football guys out there it is the midday show right here as always on sports radio 94 WIP. Welcome back midday show Hugh Douglas Joe Gilley you guys with us 215 592 94 9 for back to your phone calls in just a couple minutes and of course you people before the show is over today Phil's Natsonite it's Christopher Sanchez night I need I need some wins I need the flows to wake up it's been a wake up we might get some more news on Lazardo today today today might be a day he throws not sure his throw day or how they pushed his throw day back but I'm I'm keeping an eye on the next time we get an update on Hazelus Lazardo and how he's feeling we'll see when they put him back in the rotation. Before we go to the phones though can we check

in on some football guys see you know week one it's always interesting here the reaction a week one because you know the teams that feel good about themselves are people or coaches players they're calm but then you start to see the you start to see that the people are cracking already and that's not a good sign can we start so of course last well of course last night was the return of Patrick Mahomes which was fun I mean from a football fan perspective it's better when the best players are there and he was a little I thought it was a little rusty and they just were they're passing him was off but their running game was great Mahomes ran into touchdowns so the Broncos get blown out by the chiefs good start for the chiefs by with Mahomes back can we hear Bonaix after the game Bonaix had a tough night against the chiefs defense including an interception he explained that one here low can you take us through the interception in the end zone uh yeah um drop back through it to the other team I mean sometimes simple as better man explain it pretty well yeah I mean hey that's exactly how it happened hey I'll drop back and through it to another you know who's response that remind of me of our old buddy Nick Cassianos yeah I say stuff like that all the time

because I saw the ball yes I put my glove out I caught the ball I swung I missed yeah I mean like that's it's pretty simple stuff um Bonaix might stink it's on my radar he's you know he's gonna be a tough one for them to decide to pay or not after the season because he's done enough to where of course they're getting a second contract right to find a quarterback right but is he worth $60 million $55 million no no I mean but is hard find a quarterback I don't think so I don't know I don't necessarily agree I think he's he's gonna be a tough one for that I think I think it's luck I think this whole thing about it's like it's hard to I think people are stuck on the how hard it is to find a franchise quarterback thing I don't think you need that great if it could be anymore just don't well you you you want to have one that can at least do what you ask him to do right yeah but I don't mean like like Brock pretty like the whole like right now Brock pretty looks like a diamond in the rough but the whole like it's hard to find a QB thing doesn't I don't I guess I don't buy that with the paying them as much as they're getting paid right now

it is tough to find the mahogas as Alan's yeah Jackson's gross I don't think there's enough out there that are worth that type of value but you but like to that point it's a lot of those guys are a few and far between that's why you have guys like you know Smith well that's why you build the team around and get a cheap sideback yeah I think they're gonna have a difficult time so tough night for mix by the way another take on the Broncos their defense is strong for a while yeah well down the stretch they put a lot of bad teams last year they got yeah that's crazy how you know you you go from from being a a bond to defense one year and then looking like you know why don't the back hands of the schedule this year yeah sucked defense is a thing that does not stick year to year the way offense does now the Eagles have done a good job for two plus years now with fans you know but usually the best offense is you they they tend to stay the best off fences whether it be the bills or the Ravens or whoever Dallas now maybe you know the best defenses you look every you're the year it fluctuates a lot so we'll see what all these good defense is what we think they're gonna be down the stretch a team that will not have a good offense or defense to Cleveland Browns Todd Monkin is their head coach and he was talking about the decision

to continue with the Sean Watson a quarterback Watson how many points in the Brown score on Sunday 10 nine whatever wise yeah they stuck um they're lousy yeah so let's hear from Todd Monkin on on this quarterback situation and what everyone's feeling in the locker room how that plays into what he's gonna do here we'd have to ask you every one of those guys you said a hundred percent um and really to be honest I mean they don't have they don't have a choice I mean this isn't a debate and and I don't ask the players what every series would play I'm gonna call what play we're gonna call him defense like their jobs to play our jobs put the best player on the field we think gives us a chance to win what he's asked if the if the locker room's a hundred percent in support of the Sean playing and he said they have no choice yeah cuz he'd a quarter back but all right so but like do you think he owes it to the locker room to play the best player if that's not him well if I will I will look at it like this Joe if I was in the locker room if if they feel if the organization feels like he gives us the best chance to win yeah then I

I'm I can't too much worry about what I'm feeling because that that's not my concern but what all right so but is it fair to wonder if the Browns have any idea what they're doing oh it's definitely fair okay it's definitely fair no no question about that like we're having two different conversations when you ask that question but he he looks like and it looks like the Browns have been the final what they want to do when it comes to big creepy from the beginning yeah so I do I do buy into the theory that it's easier to go from Watson to Shedore than it is to go to like she going if they it started the season with Shedore and then had to go back to Watson yeah that's a like a disaster of the biggest magnitude and ever going to Watts going from Watson to Shedore is way more palatable to I think the team and the fans because you have something to believe in or say you know there's at least a little bit of glimmer of hope or a bright light at the end of the tunnel somewhere I just I don't think there's any way you could sell the reverse is going from Shedore to Watts I do have a prediction for you though so they play on the road again this week

against Tampa then they come home for their home opener if they get their their yeah they get pounded this week in Watson's thinks they've got a rethink starting him in that first home game now selfishly for us so we could play the audio I love for him to go out there and get boot off his home field in his first game that would be fun but I don't know guys I mean that that feels like something I got to reconsider our one more here this from the college football world and the people familiar with here around here James Franklin the former Penn State coach now and heard from in a while now he's at Virginia Tech now and this is one of the stranger pieces of audio we've come across in a while so this is James Franklin and this is one of those press conferences where the reporters like not there I guess a zoom situation just just listen just listen we'll start with Michael please hey coach Michael house with the Baltimore Sun hey Michael um hey Michael what what do you remember hey Michael what do you remember Michael what do you remember Michael Michael how you doing can you hear me yeah I'm saying how you doing good how are you good good um

so what do we think that was was he doing it on purpose yes because he didn't I guess he didn't acknowledge him and he just kept saying hey Michael like he was trying to you know make it a human he was like hey how you doing like you know hey Joe how you doing hey you you know this so all right but if that happened in person I can understand like the the just normal conversational back and forth I don't know if the guy heard him right because he said hey and then he's trying to ask his question and he's like he's he talking to me again well it was more I feel like it was more he was trying to have a back and forth like hey hey how you doing type deal and Michael went straight into asking his questions because he's he's I guess he was in professional mode that's what yeah like that yeah he didn't he didn't it didn't register what was happening for him but I think that's what coach was trying to do it took four or five hey Michael yeah because Michael Michael's probably not that personable and Michael didn't understand what was going on he just was trying to you know sometimes you know those press conferences you just want to ask you a question and and Michael

probably was so locked in to asking the question yeah that he didn't care anything about like he didn't understand what was going on he was trying to ask the question hey Michael and when coach kept saying it he didn't understand what was going on because he's trying to get to the question hey Michael yeah hey Michael you know like sometimes when we catch calling here you know and they say hey Joe like I ain't been sitting here for four four four damn hour so you can relate to yeah it's really frank and and I relate to the fact that James making them speak because I mean you know and sometimes I let it slide because you know some some some folks aren't just worth the you know whatever but yeah I you catch it you definitely see it or you fill it I didn't I didn't when we played I didn't think you would you would feel the petty with James oh yeah dude because it's like it's you know petty petty lives here and it's like when when when cast don't speak it's like it's funny because it's like it's almost like they just listen to what you have to say in the end when I when I talk they kind of like you know block me out these people do the opposite so it works out that's okay it doesn't say it it doesn't it doesn't work that way yeah all right let's

go to the phone lights here Cameron is off on W on P Cameron hey how you doing good camera what's up can you turn your radio down buddy I would consider myself a Jalen night apparently no I think he can do no wrong he just bring it past right past I did right but he just showing me flashes of what Carson was doing the spinning in the pocket is driving me insane when he does a little spin around thing yeah yeah yeah so it's one of those things where Cameron it worked it worked on Sunday it's it's not a sustainable way to get away from pressure it feels like he's gonna run into sacks by accident or get tripped up back there now get a decleat it or get yeah right now feel a pre not feel the hit coming he got away a lot on on Sunday which was great when it looks cool when it works but then when it doesn't work you're like oh and he's taking his eyes off the down feel I mean you're yeah he's gonna get crushed one day and it's the same thing I feel like Carson started to do and after at the end of like when we got rid of Carson and he was just trying

to do too much well yeah and teams will see that on tape a camera good phone call me here I would imagine if if that becomes something Jalen does a lot where he tries to just like when he feels pressure spin around and run do you think the other the other side past rush was gonna kind of feel that and wait for him oh if he if he becomes a thing he does it's too bang bang if you if you catch him you don't it's like you catch him slip okay you know because it it I the quarterback spinning Jane danes did that a couple times Sunday Caleb does it a lot I mean look I mean there's some of these guys are really athletic and they can do it and pull it off it does feel like it's risky though right because you you just flip around you can't see the other past effort is I mean it's something that that I wouldn't feel comfortable doing yeah you know but I mean hey the quarterback you know I know it bothers the caller but you know it bothers me about the caller was that his his his radio was up loud and he wanted to hear what he had to say yeah he was locked into your James Franklin take locked that are you ripping Cooper to Jean Bob hey you know you got to just just something you got to deal with yeah I wasn't ripping Cooper I just kind of noticed the fact that

we're nobody the people realize what was going on yeah people people yeah I mean they people we saw right through all people pick up on these subtle things that you just that you want to turn this conversation on WIP two a bash a gene is overrated I mean that's that was that next Tuesday or Wednesday Hugh Douglas I could hear it see the headline on the Odyssey app Hugh Douglas Cooper to Jean is so overrated I told you so is that what it is yeah sucks it's going to Jay dog in Douglas what's up Jay dog hey guys Joe you Kyle thanks for taking my call appreciate it Jay dog what's up man yeah I got some faults and concerns so one guy never really get concerned about his Jay Linhurtz I know you do but Jay Linhurtz we're just blessed to have this guy you know leading our team this guy just came out everyone's talking crap about him everyone's waiting for him to mess up and what he do the body gets clamped this guy's making throws and you know winning games like he

usually does he's the top top quarterback at NFL in my period I don't care and so I'm just thankful to have him and well if I'm made in the game why do we why do we have to take it that one step when somebody says that you can't let it go well I just think we're all allowed to love the Jones the quarterback is a great guy rightful that he's an ego and everything he did we have to go that one step further he's the best guy ever walked the earth best quarterback never go on the back and he's basically he's the only go he's not you the MVP man yeah I mean Vaughn Jayman Vaughn and man we're MVP I mean they just they just yeah Vaughn was awesome yeah and so some of my concerns here I mean first of all you know the past rush I love Nolan Smith but I think that we're in trouble bed I think when Gennari comes back we know that Smith's gonna be unleashed but we did not sack the quarterback at

all yeah he almost got one they got one I think one of them he ran but he got tripped up right before the line of scrimmage so counted as a cover shot yeah yeah but but I mean no one sees a problem here I mean we need depth I mean I'm going out and looking at somebody if we got to go and look at Radek but we need some depth we need some more past rush and another concern to me is like I like Kulby but do we really have to be excited about a guy that just does it moth punts I mean like we ever gonna have a return like he resolved the team and they said mcconn that man was gonna you know be the return guy like what is going on here you're not winning a Super Bowl with Kulby taking I mean because like what what is their thinking here I mean I don't I mean you have gifts and like I mean can we get it can we I mean we have to go back to like I mean who who is the last time the last last person we actually had that was it like a true return person like to help us I mean me and I'm a sprow sprow sprow sprow is probably the last one

I felt like you know he had some juice back there yeah now Jada I agree Kulby is just he's just okay right he doesn't he doesn't moth the the bubbles and he's okay there's no juice to it and Jada a good phone call I agree now here's the issue the other guys that they have that can do it I think they think they're too valuable to put them out there Cooper right and McCuy as a first-round pick I'll say this though you know if if McCuy doesn't start to impact the offense and they think he can return punts it maybe he can do that well maybe that's his way of impacting the game yeah I mean but that's not what you got him I know that I know that but he's has minus five yards I mean I need I need something I need some sort of impact for my first round pick minus two okay minus two we we gave us three yeah I'm three cats in the prison let me say this quickly about the past structure the past rush Hugh I I think Jaden Daniels is one of the more elusive quarterbacks in the league I'm not worried that the Eagles didn't get more sacked me neither I will say this though because

they were to ran down if anybody else back then they run them down cam ward might be the most he just like as he just loves taking sacks I mean cam ward has taken in the sack lower he's a sack lever cam ward has started 18 games he has been sacked 58 times damn 55 last year three in the first game of the season against the jets oh yeah you're going well so you got some you got some opportunities they got to get him on the ground on Sunday I mean he he's not a very he's just he's not where he needs to be as a starting quarterback the league we played the clip of the caller on the Nashville station said the guys barely in the full quarterback I don't know about all that but I know he takes a lot of sacks so week one against Jaden Daniels it's okay he gets away a lot he's elusive they got to get cam ward on the ground often on Sunday yeah and and you know to be fair to everybody it's it's the first game and and sometimes some teams match up better with you than others I don't see the Titans being able to match up like that so there's going to be some more opportunity there hopefully it looks better this week better Larry and Philadelphia's up on WIP Larry Larry

Hey it was going on so hey I don't Larry what's up Hey it was going on so hey you how you doing what's going on man so so here's my deal with you guys here's my problem with you okay it is it's the first week and then we all are seeing the game we all take we all got different keys right yes but here's my thing didn't play well yes it's a new system in place yes my my point is I believe Sean man decided to get up on in the booth because he sees it differently now we seen that Elliott said you know during the preseason they began to rely quicker it was called in place quicker again so a lot quicker so my thing is with Jaylin if you can get to the line quicker and have the call Sean man can see the defense and make an audible that's I believe that's why he ran the first four versus at the beginning of the game he called the play she seen what he was running

and all right I'm gonna call the audible let's shoot it out and see what happens and make the big play I think that coming into this coming to this season yes it's a new offense everybody has to get it you know accolade to it they don't play the preseason that was the preseason we wanted these was preseason can we agree on that well a lot of teams seem to treat it that way Larry yeah I mean they that's it is now but other teams didn't play in the preseason and they they had more explosive offenses so I agree with you but other teams did the same thing and they were putting up 30 40 so it just depends how you look at it I mean we were 6.30 it was more than what we scored last year we know but no it was in the first week and there's definitely a improvement it wasn't proven I know but the bar the bar was on the floor Larry yeah yeah but I mean I've been there it's all Larry you going going into the upcoming games you're gonna see improvement you're

going to see more points put on the board you're going to see your offense you're going to see Mullikai Mikai lemon doing doing it more getting more things you coming up for injury coming up for injury he's he's he's going to be he I'm not going to say Jim Rigger because I've been a lighting guy I don't know why you're picking him again but I don't I don't see him being I don't see him being like him I think him being more like you said a boob screen you know slant routes that's what AJ did yeah I'll give you another I think he's good I'm not writing them off yet Larry let me give you another Eagles first round pick receiver and Larry good phone call so obviously Rager is the worst case scenario would you guys sign up right now from a Kyle lemon to be Nelson Agilor I would sign up for that in a heartbeat that's not pretty if you tell me that mikai lemon becomes Nelson Agilor tell me where to sign right now I'm good I mean obviously that would mean he's not more than that right he's not a superstar which you know you take a play on the first round you hope

he is but I if you give if he becomes Agilor I'm cool with that Mark and Jersey's up what's up Mark Mark get on there what's going on Mark what's up Mark all right I got a gripe with management and I mean I'm just not buying it with the land and Dickerson thing how this is this was from last year I could see you can say he's a warrior and he's tough guy you know if this is week 11 yeah this is week number one John Richie was saying that they got couldn't even tie his shoes in pregame I mean he had no business being on the football field and now it was the out there he was putting our guys in harm's way Barclay and Jaylen will play a house catch back there that's malpractice guys Mark I agree with you I think they messed this up I mean he said last night that he he got rolled up and practiced a couple weeks ago and then yesterday yesterday they you know they did

the MRI and found out he had the bone bruise and that's why they decided to put him on the IR so it makes me wonder did they just not realize the injury he had for a few weeks and he tried to gut through it and it's it's something's off here that doesn't make sense I totally agree in but when does somebody step in at halftime you gotta pull him aside and say yo we're gonna fit you for the second half they let him keep going out there he went out there again and we almost lost that game and we could have it could have been a ten times worse we don't have the major bullet I just what are they doing at the NovaCare Center like I just you know I hate to go center yeah conspiracy theories out there but it's almost like like they're trying to set somebody up you know I mean I hate to think that way but that's a high school coach wouldn't have put him out there I mean yeah Mark it's bizarre and then we like you said we all could see it I mean after the first or second quarter you're like this guy can't move Mark we preached the phone call I don't know I mean me neither the dickers the thing is weird because he's been an excellent player for them here but they

did know when he was drafted or at least the the sky was and people thought like maybe his body won't last 10 years he might be a five year NFL player but that that was what people say coming out of that draft and I don't know it's just the whole thing is weird let's hope he gets better and let's hope Drew Kendall if he's up can play 215 592 94 94 we'll come back at your phone calls and we'll get to you people you beep right here on the midday show on sports radio 94 WIP a new football season brings a big question to makes playoffs who wins a division who takes home the title on Calcy America's number one prediction market platform let's just raid those predictions and a live market we got a fun Thursday night game to start off week number two and I like Buffalo opening their new building they're trading at 68% to win the game over Detroit the Detroit had to play deep into overtime that's the tough turnaround to go overtime on a Sunday and then play Thursday on the road give me Buffalo to win this football game on Calcy trading its peers in a live market meaning there's no house as the probability changes you could buy in and out of your position trade the draft pick the game and more on Calcy down low Calcy use code GIG L.I.O. to trade

went to get $25 when you trade $25 K.A.L. S.I.C.I Calcy trade on anything odd is that time of the day check in with you people see what they're up to especially after some of the shock shock things you've said today this guy unbelievable. Now well before we got to any of those good morning to just you oh right I'm gonna go so can I get upset onto the you two people like you does when the callers don't say hi to him yeah you can yeah I'm not gonna you should go in and raise hell on in the you people Jeff no I check it I look at once in a while look on a breaks here they're doing I say hi they're wild in there I don't know how they did did they get along with each other no okay okay just fight it's much like like WIP okay that's like our callers that's great there's a lot of people call it on color yeah I get it yeah yeah just one big war one big fight going on at all times here's an idea Joe stop having concerns no I mean how about you have some I was you get your head out of the sand and start thinking a little bit not I mean I got to deal with head in the sand Douglas I'm not doing so I mean your head is

usually in the same no I'm just optimistic you know it's a we don't be a fun poll one day should Joe Julia have less concerns or should Eagles fans have more concern yeah I mean you guys should have more I mean obviously so Joe thinks he would do better than landing did on Sunday me and you ever looked at me you know how big I am I think they I think they think you think that oh no I mean land and on one lake I mean no lakes would do better than I would yeah I mean I couldn't play anyway but that that's one position where it be laughable come on guys all Sunday proved to me is that Joe Giulio is a hashtag dope how did Sunday prove that because the Eagles beat the commanders well which I said they needed to and would on Jalen's back oh right okay he played well yeah people how was Joe on the radio well they let me they hired me they keep hard words yeah so until they take that away I'm just gonna keep showing up every day I call it looks like Sid the neighbor from Toy Story it's not too bad toys right yeah he was yeah not too bad I

got a look at this yeah yeah like I grown up Sid yeah it works it works yeah it does really it acts it's really good yeah well we did put up the poll did Sunday prove to you or confirm to you that Jalen hurts can run this offense at a high level I think my favorite comment from that was he's certain ball MVP of course he can run this high this offense at a high level you bleep it bleeps what is that happens to do with anything you guys see the Super Bowl MVP from last year last night playing for different teams very well he did it's yeah I was a good sign for chiefs Joe big series for the Phillies tonight Hugh Cooper D'Agin is a disgusting fat slob I mean it kind of did happen like that but it was it wasn't meant like that it was it was more of a stream of conscious thought and you know yeah that's my fault but you did say when I said maybe he put on a few pounds of play safety you said hey Tubby Tubby but that wasn't what I meant

I meant just bulky I'm not I don't I don't I just was it was just a thought it was a stream of conscious thought that when you when you were getting ready to talk about the Phillies it just kind of just I just buried it out but you can't just stream a conscious someone's fat or stinks and not except you want to react I didn't say he was fat you think you could bury it's like a Friday news dump that you could bury Cooper D'Agin's everywhere don't don't you worry we're on the trail that you think DeGito's in the quill yeah we're gonna we're gonna fuck with this for a while we're gonna hide on that uh you know you should publish his own dictionary uh yeah I can do that yeah good speaking the published whose book is out today he didn't know this well I don't have it I know but like you should know the date no it's funny Mark Ross caught man he was like hey man I got your book and I was like it's out so all right just I believe this morning what it does I will be shamelessly plugging it quick update my my book comes out one month from today October 15th huge book I know the date huge book is literally out today today I'm
