Guaranteed Human.
You're blowing my mind, Uber driver. It's one more thing.
I'm strong and getty. One more thing.
Before we get to that.
So I mentioned a video on the radio show right away. I had seen this video.
It's a store of some sort. A little robot dude comes out to help somebody.
He's a droid.
Short. And for whatever reason the guy, the customer at the store gives the droid a little shove in the chest.
Well he extends his hand to shake hands with the robot.
Oh no, after that.
Leave some hanging.
No after that he shoved him.
Well that's what I'm saying.
But that's why he shoved him. I didn't pick up on that.
That's the way I read it.
Why he shoved him is kind of incidental to the story.
But don't leave someone hanging like that. It's rude.
Wow. Okay. So Joe's on the side of the robot.
Somebody you'd go to shake your hand.
You don't shake the robot. Has the ability to just pull your head off.
Okay. I see.
Marshall arts ass kicker. That's what I do.
So anyway, Joe's totally right by the way.
He he goes he extends his hand for a hand shake.
The hand of friendship.
Yeah. I really believe we're bearing the lead here.
So the guy gives the droid a little shove and the droid goes into Bruce Lee Kung Fu mode for some reason.
And starts whirling his hands around and it's kicking its leg in the air.
And a bunch of other employees run in to try to tackle the thing.
And I didn't know if it was AI or if it was real.
Katie did a little research and thinks it's real.
No it is real. I plugged it into like three different.
I plugged it into Claude, chat GPT and GROC.
And they all say it's legitimate.
But I've known plenty of people that if you do it's if you gave him a little shove they'd be ready to go full on fight.
But I think most people be like, hey, what's that all about as opposed to I'm going to give you my Bruce Lee kick in the face.
So I feel like the droid overreacted. What is going on here?
What I love is that it wasn't an immediate reaction.
The the droid drops into this like, what the fuck?
Stacks. Yes.
Jack like to let everybody know they're about to get their ass kicked.
Goes into full chop socky mode.
All right. Who's ready for a robot asking?
And he kicked so hard his leg got stuck on the counter.
The the great radio personality Jim Rome used to talk about likes to fight guy.
He may still for all I know.
Evidently likes to fight guy program this robot because his robot was ready to go.
Little shop boom. Let's get it on.
It's like a bad bar fight though because there's like two people trying to hold the robot back and it's like, no, let me out of.
Yeah. Yeah.
You're right. The robot was like, let me add him like he couldn't let go of his grudge.
You're a robot.
The guy shoved him out of nowhere.
First he snubbed him with the handshake. Then he came with shove. He deserves an ass kickin.
That's really interesting.
This video is on loop on my computer. It's just funnier every time you watch.
It does really is funny.
The robot afterward say, I'm I lost my cool. I'm sorry.
I anger management has always been a problem.
Yeah.
This particular poster said it wasn't a cute glitch or a stumble.
The staff literally had to grab the robot and drag it down while I kept trying to fight.
Yeah.
So what what in its programming went into at any cost?
Well, you must fight this guy in wind.
It's drag down time.
That's the pebble from my hand, Grasshopper bot.
I suspect in this is a guess what the hell do I know?
But you've heard the stories of the pizza chains or whoever tries to deploy delivery bots
and people like hit him with bats and vandalize him and stuff like that.
And so evidently, and I suspect this was China.
So the guys look Chinese, but I suspect that they programmed it.
If somebody messes with your starts the vandalize, you're going to chop stock.
I'll bring it off.
But I don't believe enough room for my fist because I'm going to ram it into your stomach.
The broid said, but here's the deal.
Again, watching this and like this quote says, this clip was funny.
Now it's not and it's not because I'm noticing he doesn't have a direct conflict with one person.
Like I'm saying he like it's a effort.
He decides to fight everyone.
Yeah, I mean anything that comes within, I don't know radar of this thing.
It'd be interesting if there had been a vacuum cleaner there.
What do you punch the vacuum cleaner?
Only humans.
But like two people are trying to stop it from fighting the dude that snubbed his handshake
and then he just starts it starts going after them.
That's a good point.
It turned against humanity.
Yeah.
Not just the dude who shoved him.
That's a problem.
That's why the Mandalorian would say I hate grotesque.
Well, you know, it's really interesting.
The guy shoves it, then it hesitates for a long moment.
And his minder who I think runs the store says something to the bot and then it goes A-PASS.
Yeah, and it goes into that.
What he said to it.
I don't know.
Your mother's a vacuum cleaner.
Sheesh.
You gonna take off your handshake?
You're just gonna get shoved by your customers like that, you baby.
Yeah.
Alright, alright.
I'll take off his head.
You're still your bastard.
Well, I wouldn't have guessed that every robot is trained to fight.
Don't they have to be programmed to be able to fight?
Or does that just come naturally with the robot AI package?
Yeah.
This is the AI takeover, dude.
Yeah, clearly it's the first volley.
No, I think it was a program, so if somebody messes with you, you go into chopsocky mode,
so it won't vandalize you.
That's my best kitchen.
You can't have that.
We must have that.
You don't get to damage my property?
I'm training my property to defend itself.
We can't have robots who are like guys I've known, or if you're like, you know, you're walking past them and you bump into a bunch of...
Hey!
What a fight!
I'm gonna have robot chopsocky in my driveway.
Wow, stage fights.
Yeah.
I would totally hang around for that.
Oh yeah.
I wonder if that's a future.
I have one stationed outside my front door at night.
Sure, patrolling your grounds, yeah.
Oh, you know what?
Chopsocky doesn't like to be approached from behind where his little sensors are.
That's why he's hitting so much.
If you watch the video, he's protecting his brain.
Yeah?
Well, same robot.
Same way.
Me too, robot.
Yeah.
Wow.
Could I have jumped into that fight as I have, unfortunately, and dumbly a few times in my life?
I'm on your side, robot.
Let's take these guys out.
Or what is it gonna fight me no matter what?
Do we know how much robot weighs?
Because that...
He's short.
Well, yeah, he's a little guy, but I mean, he's clearly made of metal.
All right.
It's a real advantage.
Are we going to talk about your Uber driver who taught you time management skills?
No.
That's too bad, because I had a lift driver really helped me with my landscaping, so I was kind of anxious to hear what?
To hear what you had to say.
I'll have to get to that on a future podcast.
I feel ashamed.
I'll spend enough time talking about the robot fight.
I sent you guys a video, by the way, of a martial arts demonstration using a robot,
and it kicks a child in the stomach.
Yeah, that was...
So, I'm gonna spend a little time on this today.
I'd actually like to know more about that.
Was it like Joe's theory actually trained to fight if anybody messes with it?
And is that what robots are?
I don't know if I want that.
I'm gonna ask the world's worst AI system rock.
If this robot was actually trained to fight Earth.
Were those employees that ran over to try to stop it or just other customers?
No, those are employees.
Okay, if they're employees, they seem to react like,
whoever afraid this was gonna happen.
That's kind of what it seemed like to me, not what they were.
Really shocked and surprised that this thing went apex.
Well, yeah, the second the dude shoved it, three of them came out of the back like,
whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, because then what'd you call it, Joe?
Robot chop.
Yeah, chop, yeah, chop, sucky got into his fight stance and then all hell breaks loose.
I have a feeling in the not too distance future when Elon says,
you know, 80% of Americans will have a home row.
We're gonna see lots of robot fights.
Oh, yeah, your your your battle bots is fun.
Robot fights that'd be even more fun.
Well, there's the staged kind, yeah, but I just think the, you know,
my robot gets in a fight with my neighbor's robot over something.
Or China's 50,000 robots getting a fight with our 50,000 robots.
Yeah, well, if you haven't seen the video yet, it's at Armstrong and Getty.com.
Judge for yourself whether the robot was in the right or not.
You go to shake a man's hand.
So according to Grock, this thing's name is,
Simon, Simon S.Y.O.M.A.
So I'm yeah.
It's a retail tech consultant, humanoid robot,
at an a Russian electronic store.
It is not their combat model.
And somebody paid extra for the Bruce Lee mode in case somebody gives it a show.
The kicks after the shove look like a balanced glitch.
Now that's that's BS.
Staff shut it down. No injuries reported.
I was trying to whoops a mask.
Yeah, balance glitch.
So this is a retake.
This is a retail tech consultant, humanoid robot at a Russian store
and was not a combat robot.
So that's just a somebody trying to help me at the store.
Yeah.
Who has the Chuck Norris mode deep in its brain if it needs it.
Right.
I'm going to a different store.
I don't I don't want to get my ass kicked by your robot.
Are there any stores in this mall where I don't have to fight a robot?
I'd like to shop.
I'd like to shop there.
Is there a foot locker nearby?
I'd like to go there.
Goodbye.
You know, Sears never had killer robots.
I'm just saying.
Good craftsman tools.
Well, I guess that's it.
