A new video has surfaced, showing Diamond Robinson, also known as Mike King, who ran security for Congresswoman Jasmine Crocket and her team roughing. Up to brothers at her public swearing, in ceremony back in January 2025 at Dallas' Fair Park. Dallas police were right there, but stood by without stepping in, even as the guards choked and dragged the men out. The brothers, J.J. Jefferson and his brother Lamar, say they were just trying to serve Crocket with lawsuit papers over Jefferson getting booted from. The 2024 ballot, Jefferson's a long-time political rival of hers. Robinson barged orders at the cops and told the brothers to get out, then they got handcuffed in front of everyone. Jefferson filed assault charges, but Dallas police basically shrugged it off. The chief back then said no investigation needed, and they pointed him to a fake security firm that turned out to be Crocket's DC office. For over a year, nothing happened while Robinson kept working her events, including her center run.
Turns out Robinson was a wanted fugitive, faking federal agent status. Last month after a chase, Dallas swat cornered him in a garage, he pulled a gun, and they shot him dead. The brothers now question of earlier action on the assault could have stopped that. Jefferson's pushing for a department of justice probe into Crocket's other guards, suspecting they might all be bogus too. With this video out, it's raising big questions about who was really protecting her, and why police let it slide. This has been Dallas News Today, powered by AI. I'm Corey with The Story.
