FSU Basketball Skips NIT, Focuses on Offseason

Sources say they turned down what was likely an invitation to the 32 team field, set to be revealed Sunday evening around 9 p.m. In their first season with head coach Luke Luxe, the Seminoles finished 18 wins and 15 losses overall, going 10-8 in Atlantic, coast conference play. They ended strong too, winning 10 of their final 13 games. Some momentum carried them to the ACC Tournament quarterfinals in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they fell by just one point to top seeded Duke. Duke dominated the conference, taking both the regular season and tournament titles, and earned the number one overall seed in the 2026. NCAA Tournament field announced tonight. For Florida State, passing on the NIT means focusing elsewhere after a promising finish. The team now faces changes with 16 years heading out, including point guard Robert McCray the 5th, and others like Kobe McGee and Sinnersha, Muhammad.
