Frontier Gentleman presents “Gambling Lady,” originally broadcast June 29, 1958. In episode 21, London Times correspondent J. B. Kendall arrives in Wyoming Territory and encounters Madame Verde, the formidable proprietor of a gambling parlor drawing business from the town’s established houses.

As rival operators move to drive Madame Verde out, Kendall finds himself increasingly involved in her struggle—and intrigued by the Civil War shadow behind her story. John Dehner stars as Kendall, with Jeanne Bates as Madame Verde, in a CBS production written and directed by Antony Ellis.
