He: בשעת צהריים חמה של יוני, על חצר רחבה של תיכון ציבורי ווטסונוויל, התרוצצו תלמידים בכל פינה.
En: On a hot June afternoon, in the wide courtyard of Watsonville public high school, students were bustling in every corner.

He: אווירת הקיץ כבר השתלטה על כולם, אבל לא על אבנר.
En: The summer atmosphere had already taken over everyone, but not Avner.

He: אבנר ישב בקצה אחד של הכיתה, מבטו מרוכז בחלון.
En: Avner sat at one end of the classroom, his gaze focused on the window.
