Sl: Mateja je stal ob robu Blejskega jezera, ostrmel v prelepo pokrajino.
En: Mateja stood at the edge of Blejsko jezero, gazing at the beautiful landscape.
Sl: Voda je bila smaragdno zelena, v sredini pa jezera majhen otok z znano cerkvico.
En: The water was emerald green, with a small island in the center featuring a well-known church.
Sl: Julijske Alpe so se dvigale v ozadju, kot naravna kulisa.
En: The Julijske Alpe rose in the background like a natural backdrop.
Sl: Poletje je bilo tu v polnem zamahu, toplo sonce je sijalo in otroci so se veselo smejali.
En: Summer was in full swing here, the warm sun was shining, and children were laughing joyfully.
Sl: Mateja je bil na šolskem izletu.
En: Mateja was on a school trip.
Sl: Zraven njega je bil Tadej, njegov najboljši prijatelj.

En: He looked towards Nina, who was shyly smiling at a nearby duck.

En: He made a decision.
Sl: "Pridi kasneje," je Mateja zaklical Tadeju in se odmaknil od skupine.
En: "Come later," Mateja called to Tadej and moved away from the group.
Sl: Zbral je pogum in se odpravil proti Nini.
En: He gathered his courage and headed towards Nina.
Sl: "Živjo, Nina," je rekel, njegov glas je bil nekoliko negotov.
En: "Hi, Nina," he said, his voice somewhat uncertain.
Sl: "Želiš iti skupaj na sprehod ob jezeru?
En: "Would you like to take a walk by the lake together?"
Sl: "Nina ga je pogledala in njene oči so en trenutek zadržale dvom, nato pa se je nežno nasmehnila.
En: Nina looked at him, and her eyes held doubt for a moment, then she gently smiled.
Sl: "Seveda, zakaj pa ne.
En: "Sure, why not."
Sl: "Skupaj sta začela hoditi ob jezeru, ko so se oblaki začeli zbirati nad hribi.
En: They started walking together by the lake as clouds began to gather over the hills.
Sl: Nenadoma so se začele pojavljati prve kaplje dežja in otroci so začeli teči proti paviljonu ob jezeru.
En: Suddenly, the first raindrops began to fall, and children started running towards the pavilion by the lake.
Sl: Mateja in Nina sta se skrila pod streho paviljona, medtem ko je dež padal vse močneje.
En: Mateja and Nina hid under the pavilion's roof while the rain poured down harder.
Sl: Strehe so poklepetavale pod nalivom, a paviljon je bil varen.
En: The roofs chattered under the deluge, but the pavilion was safe.
Sl: Ob dežju sta začela klepetati.
En: As the rain fell, they began to chat.
Sl: "Rad berem," je Mateja rekel.
En: "I like reading," Mateja said.
Sl: "Moja najljubša knjiga je o avanturah.

Sl: "Pogovor je stekel gladko, njuni strahovi so izginjali z vsakim nasmehom in besedo, ki sta si jo izmenjala.
En: The conversation flowed smoothly, their fears dissipating with each smile and word exchanged.
Sl: Med njuno razpravo je dež počasi ponehal in sonce je spet zasijalo.
En: As they talked, the rain slowly subsided, and the sun shone once more.
Sl: Ko se je izlet končal in avtobus jih je peljal nazaj domov, sta Mateja in Nina sedela skupaj, smeje se in delila zgodbe.
En: When the trip ended and the bus took them back home, Mateja and Nina sat together, laughing and sharing stories.
Sl: Mateja je bil hvaležen za priložnost.
En: Mateja was grateful for the opportunity.
Sl: Naučil se je, da je včasih vredno zapustiti cono udobja.
