Story Transcript:
Sl: Tivoli Park je bil živahen in poln poletne energije.
En: Tivoli Park was lively and full of summer energy.
En: Sun rays shone through the tree canopies, while the notes of dance music mixed with the aroma of grilled sausages and cotton candy.
Sl: Mateja je stala ob stojnici z ročnimi izdelki, njene roke so nemirno prepletale rob njene poletne obleke.
En: Mateja stood by a stall with handmade crafts, her hands nervously intertwining the hem of her summer dress.
Sl: Globoko je vdihnila in se ozrla okoli, iščoč znan obraz.
En: She took a deep breath and looked around, searching for a familiar face.
En: Anja insisted that Mateja meet Zoran.
Sl: "Boš videla, všeč ti bo," je dejala, ko je Mateja izrazila svoje dvome.
En: "You'll see, you'll like him," she said when Mateja expressed her doubts.
En: Mateja was always the one to cautiously choose secluded spots and quieter corners for drawing, away from the crowds.
Sl: A tokrat je želela poskusiti nekaj novega.
En: But this time, she wanted to try something new.
Sl: In tam je bil Zoran.
En: And there was Zoran.
Sl: S svojim širokim nasmehom in kitaro čez ramo pristopil je k Mateji, oči so mu žarele od energije.
En: With his broad smile and a guitar slung over his shoulder, he approached Mateja, his eyes radiating energy.
Sl: "Mateja? Jaz sem Zoran. Veseli me," je rekel, in ona je sramežljivo pokimala.
En: "Are you Mateja? I'm Zoran. Nice to meet you," he said, and she shyly nodded.
Sl: "Hoj, res je lepo tukaj," je začel Zoran, njegov glas je preglasil okoliški hrup.
En: "Hey, it's really nice here," Zoran began, his voice overpowering the surrounding noise.
En: "But if there are too many people, we can go for a walk in the park."
En: It seemed to Mateja that he was speaking directly to her thoughts.
En: "I'd like that," she admitted, her face blushing slightly from shyness.
En: Zoran smiled, and together they walked along the cobblestone path, away from the crowd.
En: A cooler breeze blew through the trees as they talked.
Sl: Začela sta z osnovnimi stvarmi, o tem, kako je Mateja prišla v Ljubljano in Zoranovo ljubezen do glasbe.
En: They began with the basics, about how Mateja came to Ljubljana and Zoran's love for music.
En: Their steps became increasingly in sync, just like their conversation.
Sl: Ko sta prišla do mirnejšega predela parka, se je Mateja počutila bolj sproščeno.
En: When they reached a quieter part of the park, Mateja felt more relaxed.
En: "I can't believe it's so hard for me to adapt," she admitted, a bit more at ease after the long conversation.
En: Zoran listened, not interrupting her, which gave Mateja the courage to continue.
En: "What advice would you give?" Zoran asked, his voice soft like the melody of his guitar.
Sl: "Poskusi malce večkrat.
En: "Try a bit more often.
En: You might be surprised at what you can discover about yourself," Zoran said, his smile warm and encouraging.
En: After the time they spent together, Mateja felt different.
Sl: Bolj samozavestno, bolj odprto.
En: More confident, more open.
En: When they returned to the festival hustle, one of the stallholders played a melody on the accordion.
En: Mateja smiled, her face now brighter.
En: As the sun slowly set and the crowds thinned, Mateja said goodbye to Zoran, promising they would see each other again.
Sl: Ko se je vračala domov, ni čutila več strahu, temveč vznemirjenje pred naslednjim druženjem.
En: As she headed home, she no longer felt fear, but excitement for their next gathering.
En: Zoran had helped her step out of the shadows.
En: And Mateja knew that this evening had given her something much more precious—a reassurance that making friends with the world around her was truly possible.
