From Podcast Jingles To Math Breakthroughs And Bitcoin Risk(Ep.92)
About this episode
We start with the surprisingly hard job of getting AI to generate usable audio and end up in much bigger territory, from breakthrough math claims to what “digital gold” really means for Bitcoin. Along the way, we hash out quantum risk, AI containment fears, and the legal question of who’s liable when powerful tools go off-script.
• why AI-made podcast jingles still come out messy and hard to control
• the rumored Navier Stokes leap and what it suggests about automated discovery
• the uncomfortable question of whether “math is over” as a human discipline
• Bitcoin’s correlation with gold and what that changes for valuation narratives
• fiduciary risk if advisors pitch Bitcoin as a hedge that behaves like gold
• why quantum computing could hit traditional finance and crypto differently
• AI agents, robotics timelines, and what “escaping containment” could mean
• liability frameworks when an AI tool causes harm without clear intent
• prediction markets moving toward the Supreme Court and regulatory stakes
• Minnesota’s deepfake nude law and whether platforms should bear responsibility

Just get rolling here. Hey, we're all here. Thursday, everyone in house. I'll just get rolling right away so we can jump in here to the music. Thursday, September 10th, Proof of Law Podcast, Quantum Lake Studio, John Nevy, John Hayden, Chad Jamrose. We are here. Hayden, we had 48 downloads last week. The most I've ever seen. But I have no world. I have an AI read and do it. They're all bots. All bots. Maybe it's not. Yeah, I do have AI listening to some podcast. But maybe there's a part of it. Anyone back from more AI bump. So anyway, yeah, that's just kind of a fun little side. No, you don't need to do. Maybe it's a LinkedIn post I'm putting out for you guys. That's great. Yeah, I think that might be it. I don't know. I think it's all this like we had more time, you know, time or whatever.
It's kind of a set schedule, but like you want to do doing more content for you guys, like having stuff out there, just whatever it is. Totally. It's our intro song. Yes. I want to, you want to mix it up. I want to put it into an AI thing. Yeah. And say make this like an intro to like keep keep the same five. Yeah. But make it like a big band like Max Weinberg. Hit it Max. Like, yeah, so we started out like a talk show like, didn't, didn't, you know, can I? I thought you were saying, let's make it like long order. Let me. I was sure one experience I've had because I've been trying to create a tradfi Diddy, right? Just like, yeah, can you play it? And it's, it's, they're so bad. So, so I'll try to find one. So I've not come up with any of them. So it's actually be proving to be quite difficult to find to get what you want. So we have access to some, I have access to some of Dolby products to some free for you to free to use campfire there. What I'm trying to find as a description and AI trying to help me with the descriptor.
Like, hey, put this in there, put this in there, right? And then I'm trying to get the Wall Street, the, the, the, the, the, the New York Stock Exchange Bell. Do, do, do, do, do, do, you know, like this has a fun little, little thing. So why? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Wall Street Bell is all like copyrighted, right? Like I can't get a version of that Bell. You know, I know. Like hilarious. I can't find it. So they have all these, maybe you run across this. You have all these sites, which is free to download. Well, it's free to download when you sign up for a bunch of, that's a bunch of spam and, and pop up ads and stuff. I don't want to sign up for any of that stuff. Or they want you to pay for it. And anything on YouTube, you can't get a downloadable file, even if they say that the, the, the, that's free to you. I don't know. It's been really hard. So then I went back and tried to create it. And then ultimately I just got, I'm gonna go, hey, chat because it's with me. It's like, yeah, this was taking a long time. Chat told me that. It's like, it's wrong with you. You're just trying to come up with a small little thing here. This is getting too crazy.
So chat started taking a stab at it. And, um, we just haven't gotten there. So I don't know. I'll try to find one. But I didn't mean to steal your thunder there. But like my experience is like recent. I'm trying to find a, yeah, I think here. It's been hard. How do I find here? Oh, Astra. Have you used Astra yet? I have not used Astra yet. But just clicked. Maybe, maybe, uh, if you should expound on that a little bit. So this is the latest release from chat open AI. Yeah, I just heard, I listen to a podcast summarizing what it's all about. It was, it was hard. It's, it's not, it's a very different update. Apparently it's very good at 3D rendering and coding and things like that. Okay. But it's kind of taken us in ways where we, where AI is going instead of just improving where it's at.
That's a very terrible summary. But, um, it's, it's a, it's like some people are panning at some people are saying it's the best thing ever. I think it's the use case. I think for knowledge workers like us, it's not. It's not a huge advance. But as far as computer usage and coding, there was also a story. I think a few days ago, the, this is, did you hear that? Was that what was that? You did hear it? Yeah. Oh, okay. That's what they came with. This came to the speaker. So that's the, that's the best version I've had created. And it's just not even close to what I want. You want to hear that again? That's terrible. I just told Jim and I make an audio. Yeah. That's great. I don't know what it sounds like. I know. This is great. That's more of a rock. Yeah. But, you know, what I will say for that. I will tell you from my experience, at least it sounds cohesive.
Right. I was getting stuff that just sounded like, like, it was on acid. You know, like, just. We need a soundboard. So like, when we make it jump. But I think like, I'd be like, I think, I do wanna go and do it. But I think like all those sounds like you have to buy you have to buy all those things. Right. We got to get to serious talk now. Okay. What I was saying, it's my thing. So we need to timestamp this thing. All right. So hang on. Yeah. First idea. So the new chat cheap unreleased chat GPT, um, solved a math problem. Oh, I wanted to hear. I wanted to know more about this. I came over to bring me a problem. It has something to do with. Yeah. Fluid, uh, smooth fluids. Okay. Or something like that. Yeah. And whether or not like us, I'm going to butcher this. But it's essentially like whether a smooth, I just was chat cheap, actually, so I'll read it. Um, the Navier Stokes AI, um, subscribes how fluids flow always stay smooth.
Wherever if they start smooth or if they blow up and become infinite in finite time, that's the what that's the question. So they have to say the thing about the stuff. Yeah. That's exactly the problem was here's the problem. Do the 3D Navier Stokes equations, which describe how fluids flow always stay smooth forever if they start smooth or can they blow up and become infinite in finite time to solve you. Either prove that it will always be smooth, no matter what happens. Um, for every possible smooth starting condition, or you exhibit one legitimate smooth starting condition that blows up. And the AI determined that constructing a specific scenario that mathematically forces a blow up rather than running in a simulation.
It's all this, this has been an unsolved like, Hey, can you think of a starting scenario of a smoothness that would ultimately lead to an explosion on some sort of surface tension thing or I have no idea. Yeah. And people are, well, what if we start with this scenario? What if we start with this and just run the math and it did it in 88 hours? Wow. Uh, like it was proved that it was correct. No, if the question was binary, does it stay smooth or does it explode? Oh, God, it wasn't solving a proof. It was just saying, right? You could either, essentially, if you find a way which it explodes, then you have determined the answer and I figured a model by which a starting smooth condition explodes. Oh, okay. I guess, um, geez. To which I say, no shit, no one solved that. Who cares? Yeah. I feel like if we were all working hard on it, we would have figured it out.
But, but you would imagine some math nerds, you know, that's, there's like a handful of these equations out there that have not been, but the broader conversation is, is math solved? Is math over? Oh, big question. Math. Oh, wow. That's wild. And it's math over. Then it doesn't just open the door to all, you know, the promise of, you know, medical breakthroughs and cancer treatments and this solving this. For the right price. I mean, they could solve that too. If they're here, right? We're making them like, the AI 88 hours. That's like 9,000 90,000 hours of human effort. I think it was 10,000 agents working on it for 88 hours. Wow. Such a massive power. Wow. Yeah. How do you get consensus amongst 10,000 AI agents? You have a, you have a CEO agent. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. That's wild. Well, all right. So I have some notes from here.
Oh, it's awesome. Yeah. Yeah. So like, again, this is something I just showed shows up on in my chat here weekly. So it's a fun little thing. It goes and it reads a couple of different newsletters and listens to two or three podcasts. Don't give away the secret sauce. I know why I didn't tell you which ones. Well done. So, so anyway, sorry, Hayden, Corey, they had no, what was your first one? Is it about Bitcoin becoming digital goal? I thought that was last week's this week I have AI agents escaping containment again. Well, that's old news, but we can. I think it's all just through this through she. It's a valid topic, though, because I don't know what that was. I don't remember talking about it because it was like, well, Bitcoin hasn't changed. It's the holders. Yeah. So that was, so that was a topic for last week, because I know that Alex Thorne was talking about it with somebody that's some Bitcoin guy on his podcast last week.
The correlation is very strong right now is exactly right. And so the, the, the lead, like, all right. So then if you're a financial advisor, can you get sued for? Bitcoin. Hayden, you were 100% correct. This is it was just far down on this list. You're right. But this is a bit wise argument. This is not the, the Thorne one from last week. So it's a big up conversation. All right. So as Bitcoin finally trading like the asset, Bitcoin has always claimed it was Bitcoin doesn't claim anything. It is an inanimate object has Bitcoin itself changed or is the investors buying a change? And then is it if Bitcoin increasingly trades like gold rather than a tech stock? Does that now change how investors should value it? So here's the so yeah. So there are responsible for people responsible to do sharies. Yeah. That if they started to treat Bitcoin like gold and investment portfolios, I have a pretty good feeling they would get in a lot of trouble because if it ever uncorrelated,
they did suit. But only, yeah, but only they said that the thesis was that it was exactly like performed exactly like gold. You wouldn't be in trouble if you just said you need some of this in your portfolio, right? But if you're like, if you had direction to be like, Hey, we need something that is going to hedge and all this stuff. That's your pitch. You're like, Oh, you want to hedge? Yeah. Let's get some Bitcoin. Right. Um, and then they're like, and then at, you know, there's some sort of quantum computing breakthrough. Bitcoin gets crashed. Right. You can't have it. It's still get your gold. Yeah, you can't have gold. You're right. Well, you can tag GLD, which is an ETF that is backed by gold and trades on the stock exchanges. You just got to hack that and they'll think that it holds financial system, you know, or they'll check which quantum would do. Right. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know. You know, that is, that is, I do think that the quantum problem suppresses Bitcoin.
And also the fact that Bitcoin theoretically can be hacked and gold can't, I think it suppresses it somewhat, but you're right. Quantum computing, they're probably not going to go after Bitcoin per se. They're going to go after JP Morgan. No, we talked about this a couple of months ago. And I heard that the problem that direction is the fact that you've got too many other human intermediaries in a midterrey. So it's still it. It's something. But it was kind of put it this way. And it was fascinating because you know what's going to happen. Let's just fast forward five, four years, 10 years, whatever, quantum computing happen. It's not going to be like an announcement on the front page of the paper. It's just going to happen. And also someone's going to see a wallet like, Oh, that was weird. A couple of Bitcoin disappeared from that wallet. You know, and no one's going to know, no one's going to advertise. If you're the one who had the keys to steal the keys, you're not, you could have won. Try to get as much as you can. And then you're going to immediately put it in mixtures. Right. So, so you're not going to know the one's not going to be a person.
No, no, no, it'll be that'll figure it out. It's going to be an AI for a security. You're going to be quantum. And we will find out when our alarm clock starts saying something. It wasn't programmed. It's like good morning, John. Yeah. Welcome to the new world. But please report to your pods. So we've been using you as a battery. So I think that all that would happen kind of more silently until people got to what's going on versus you JP Morgan chase account gets half. You're going to know right away. Someone's going to see it. Yeah. They got they got people, you know, it's things and then and ways to stop all that stuff. So does some of that happen? Yeah, but I think it gets stopped a lot quicker. Yeah. So, but man, things are moving so fast. Yeah. I can't, it just yeah, real clean and believe how fast it's moving. I'm sure I'm ready to buy some gold. I just actually did buy some ETF gold. You did? I don't buy some real gold. I don't collect anything like that. Yeah. Gold guns. There you go. I called you. There you go. GGG.
That old gun. That'll that'll put that'll perk his ears up. That's for you, Drew. Ammo. Get gold-plated ammo. There you go. I'm never going to. Yeah. There you go. There's lots of places to buy gold in town too. Like what rapidly replace really? I mean, you should have considered guns. Yeah. Drone. Yeah. I don't want to gun. Yeah. Actually, yeah, I know I don't. I'm just like, take me. I'm going to bow in the woods. So you're in favor of weapons, just not effective ones. No, I'm a man. Oh, oh, I know. And I'm kidding. I want to give myself an unfair advantage against the intruder that I imagined. All right. Yeah. Anyways. What else we got? Well, we have the AI agents escaping. It's about that. So this is the second time. And as many weeks that a open AI is talking about something,
I want you to imagine. And now they're calling for regulation for the on themselves. Well, you saw the developer that left anthropic two days ago. I did not follow this. And please tell the news cycle and did a lot of interviews. Is this the headline that that's going to kill us in 10 years? Yeah. It's like it's going to kill us in 10 years. Yeah. And like he's like, I just want nothing to do with it. And it's like what was interesting is he alleges that internally at these companies, they all kind of know it and laugh about it. Right. And joke about it. Yeah. We're cooked. And they keep keep building it. Because the money, there's a so much money. Yeah. And I'm making 40 million dollars a year to just make the thing that's going to end the world. They're probably thinking I'll just build a bunker with this money that I'm making. Yeah. Just called Peter Teal and New Zealand on the whole thing. Yeah.
I think that's what's going to have a hard reset from AI. And it was like, they were like, one interview was like, well, how? How is it going to kill everyone? It's like, well, it can engineer a bio weapon. I could kill everyone. It can do. How does it make it though? Like if he followed it through. Exactly. It's the robotics, which we're not there yet. Not in a show. Oh, I think it's coming. 100%. I have to tell you the story about the baby. I've only told you this. So I went visit a friend's temperature school, a couple of months ago or whatever. And he's an investment banker in the Bay Area. And so he's got his hands and all the tech stuff. Yeah. Maybe I told you what I mean. He said he's going to have a robot in his house cleaning this fall. You got to come and check it out. So he's going to have some access to this thing. And like legitimately he's going to come in and try it out. That's how close we are. Yeah. I mean, yeah. So I was thinking about this a little bit more. Like, okay. So what is the progression of the robot wars?
What does it look like? Well, you start giving AI robotics. And then those initial, the initial like suite is just like. It needs to have access to raw materials. It needs to have access to energy. And it needs to have the ability to build its own robotics. And once it can do that, it can do whatever it wants. Yeah. Like give it a forge, give it a, like give it the raw material. Could we have seen this movie, guys? Could we, could we, could you stop it if you saw something getting built up? Like I mean, it would have to be a physical plant. Like, could we go in and, and what do you think the defenses would be so? Oh, yeah. I thought about this. They're going to say what the humans are going to come. Let's call the talks, let's put this in a vacuum and you get rid of the, yeah. Let's, oh, we better disable all their nuclear systems first. Yeah. Yeah. We're correct.
We're correct. I didn't, I'm in some small scale. Didn't the AI already like enter the warfare recently where it was like the last, the last mile of whatever some drone attack an AI took over to find the target. Yeah. No, that is so. Yeah. Like, who is the first person like a Russian hero by an AI drone? I think it's already happened. You know, no, yeah. Yeah. It was like in the Russian media war, you know, yeah. And there were like people are on both sides or, or maybe it was the Russians that sent it or something. They were like, no, no, and then they, they found the chips and they could reverse engineer that it was. It's like they found the passports. Not that and whatever. Yeah. I don't know, dude, you're right. We're cooked. We are cooked. But. And then if there is a leak, if it gets out, if, if your AI agent gets out, yes, if you're fault. Yeah. How about it? It's 100% your fault. There has to be some sort of liability. Right. Okay. Because then there's no consequences for the people using the tools.
You got to have consequences. And it's not, there, there's no like agent liability because it's like, it has not consented to be your agent. But at the same time, it's like you created it. So it's, it's an extension of you. It's not your agent. Yeah. Agent legal sense. At the one of the, I mean, so, like I lost it, like the first loss, well, it has like becoming soon, right? But the agent did something that I might be half and then they're going to sue that, well, no, because it's your agent. It's you are liable. All right. I mean, I haven't heard one yet, but that seems like that's forthcoming, doesn't it? I'm sure the first ones will be like malpractice. Yeah. Soots. But there's a verse in the book of Daniel that people interpret that says that the knowledge shall explode at the end times or shall increase. So there you go. AI goes crazy.
It's the end times. I need to read that. What's the Daniel? Daniel 12, 4. Wow. Look at this getting real getting. But now Daniel shut up the words and seal the book. Even though even to the time of the end, many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased. Spooky. That's very heavy. I predict your markets headed towards SCOTUS. What book? Daniel, the book of Daniel to the Old Testament. Yeah, I know that. But like, was one thing I do want to talk about. Yeah. Prediction markets, they're going to Supreme Court. What do you think they're going to do? I think they're going to say the CTF. CTF. CTF. Regulate them. Regulate them and that'll be the end of it. And then they just continue. Well, if there's a change in administration, I could see them put in some serious restrictions,
which could be good for the young men of America. We were just talking about that at lunch. Yeah, I don't know. Did you see that? So this one is funny. I think because guess who was against this. There's a Minnesota statue that prevents deep fakes like newt. Yeah. Oh, that's a consensual fake nude images. Yeah. Uh, somebody sued to block it. Who name the lab that sought to block it? Was it chat? Was it? Oh, no, it was big. It was. Oh, go ahead. It's an edson. You know who it was? It was not the suit. Which, which is crap for him. It's actually a tie. Yeah, we did tie chana. Yeah, we know, you know, you go on anyway, it's funny that rock is like, no, we want to do this. Yeah. Yeah, I don't. I think it was something about them not wanting to inherit the responsibility of how
people raise their tack. Right. Um, but we've talked about this before. I have to disagree with them there. Um, I looked into the statue. It's, it is aimed at, it's not aimed at like users. It's aimed at, oh really, the platform. Platforms. And advertising into money. To money. To like that. Yeah. So it's like, I think that's probably appropriate. So the way you're going to have, do you think it should be criminal to create a deep fake? Uh, to publish it. Right. I think what is this? It's like criminal defamation. Defamation. Yeah. Well, it is, it is, it is like severe form of harassment. It's very, but also, I mean, you can, I can make the argument as free speech, right? I'm not, I don't like the argument, but if you, like if pornography is art or can't
be regulated by the government, it can be. It's like child pornography. Right. Good point. And so I think that's kind of where we're at when we have people who are just like finding themselves nude all over, you know, the high school. And so I was like, I'm much more well in that. Yeah. Come on. Yeah. Okay. Now I know why you want that software. What if you do it to yourself? There we go. You got Knia, that's my image. All right. All right. By the way, Daniel at the end of that chapter says that bless the one who waits and reaches the end of the 1335 days that, so that it was supposed to happen or anything. No, that's the tribulation. Yeah. The seven years or seven, three and a half years from the end to the beginning, like that little period in there.
Yep. So you're an omelinius or a post-millennialist? I am a pre-trib, pre-trib, but not millennialist. Millennial millennium comes after I'm conflating my weird time periods. Yeah. Right. But hey, reasonable minds can differ on that stuff. Yeah. All right. Anything else? That's not in the script. That's not in the script. Oh, let's break down football. Oh, yeah. Let me just time step real quick just because I didn't do it at the front end of the show. Bitcoin at 77,135, 3M at $2463. All trading sideways from last week. Five percent down on Bitcoin, but nothing crazy. Next week is a big week for clarity, but that's right. So we're not even more talking about. We certainly will talk about it next week because we will know, I think, after what is it tomorrow, Monday? Monday? Monday, I think. So I don't think it's going to happen. All right. I'm going to close out here. I'm going to get going. Donald. Poor guy.
Donald. Donald. Donald. Donald. I didn't. I saw it was like six plays in and he got like a couple of later. Like day to day. I think it's like probably like a couple of weeks. Oh, okay. So look, I think I look like I think he like jammed his knee into a wear that like jammed up his hip. Yeah. And just created some weird, like it looked weird when he tackled him. I was like, ooh, that looked weird. And then they cut in the song. He was limping off the field. Like, okay. Yeah. So they need to be in tact. And it's good. It looks more like a muscle thing. No timeline. Maybe they need us the latest. This would get ready for a backup. Maybe they need a J.J. What did you say? I don't want to go. J.J. McCarthy. I got a Michigan man as their head coach. You know, he might do it. Did he coach when he was there? Yeah. Oh, boy. Even better. There's a connection. So you weren't wrong. We're going to start the rumor. Sort of, Hayden started it. I won't put that in my prediction. I will put in my prediction that the Minnesota Golden Goal first win. The big 10 champion. Whoa. Dude, that's huge. Hayden, that was a huge reveal.
That's a biggie. That's a biggie. That would make me very happy. Well, you know, it's super fun. And I don't follow college football very closely at all. And I know. It just hasn't been there. But what after watching what Indiana did last year? Yeah. You know, and then watching how the N.I.L. stuff has changed the whole and like, kind of leveled the playing field. And that story, because Indiana was like the goal first. They're the worst. They're the worst team event. Even worse than the goal. So why not? The gifts hope to all these all these schools. Well, what's his fate? The Indiana coach has a completely insane. It's insane. So why why not why not the goal first? Well, because they have the same coach they've had for a long time. Nothing's really changed. However, right. But I'm saying it's like he's built solid programs and is lost his talent. Other than they just put their big two way player this last season. But their quarterback is very good. That's cool. Yeah. Very good. Better than J.J. McCarty. Oh, I wouldn't say that much.
But he's good. And they have some really talented like skill players. Oh, fun. They I know they play they weren't playing anyone great. No camera. It was during Illinois or something. Yeah. But they pass my eye test. Well, there you go. That's a big 59 points. I like that. That's always a good sign when you're playing a lower level team. And you just run all over. Special teams is great. Two special teams touchdowns. What about their coach though? PJ Fleck. Yeah. He's good. Yeah. I like him. I like him. I liked him when he was at Western. Yeah. Right. Well, that's super fun. That'll be fun to watch as the weeks unfold here. And then the Niners and the Rams play tonight. I have a God who's going to win the Niners winning that one. Here's why the Rams flew in yesterday. Yeah. We're like it's in Australia the day before last night. And it's like how do you do like a that was a bad choice. Yeah.
It seems like a really poor choice. And they don't have Donald or Donald for their first game. Is he back? He is on the team. He is not at their first game. He's no spring chicken. It is the Vikings backers game on Sunday then. It is. Very fun here. Be there. Yeah. Oh, that's fun. That'll be fun. Well, talk about that next week, even outside of the outcome. But I'm going to wear my new Vikings jersey, which is not a Vikings player. And it's not a it's not even Vikings. It is the WWE summer slam jersey with Vikings colors. You're going to get a lot of compliments. Yeah. Compliments or other statements. No. We got to leave it there. I got it on. Thanks, guys. See you next week.
