On March 11th, Gareth Ellis, better known as Bippo the Clown, spent nearly 30 years living the circus life after a childhood obsession pulled his, whole family into it. The 36-year-old from Rams Bottom started as a kid hooked on clowns, performing in school assemblies and driving a tiny clown car around his. Neighborhood. His parents supported the dream, buying costumes, and even joining a circus troupe during his school holidays when he was nine. That passion turned into a full-family adventure when his dad lost his job and they all ran away to the circus together. Gareth did his schooling on the road, passing his GCEs across eight different schools in London while working shows. He became one of Britain's top clowns, traveling the world and performing for King Charles and Queen Camilla with the close-knit circus community, feeling like an extended family right next door.
