Pt: Matilde olhou para o relógio pela terceira vez em cinco minutos.
En: Matilde looked at the clock for the third time in five minutes.

Pt: Estava na Portela, o aeroporto de Lisboa.
En: She was at Portela, the airport in Lisbon.

Pt: As filas eram longas, e o som de vozes ansiosas enchia o ar.
En: The lines were long, and the sound of anxious voices filled the air.

Pt: Era Páscoa, e viajar nesta época era sempre um desafio.

Pt: "A decisão está tomada," disse Matilde com segurança renovada.
En: "The decision is made," Matilde said with renewed confidence.

Pt: E assim, usou o último cartão no seu nome para reservar um voo particular.
En: And so, she used the last card in her name to book a private flight.
