Okay, Ray Mundo has a big announcement about our crews coming up in March. What? Is this drum roll? No, no, no. You guys need to check your passports because apparently if they're going to expire within six months of you going, they can just show you down to the port. You don't even get to go. Oh, that's an annal. Oh, that's a warning. A PSA. It's not the exact date on your passport. They do have the ability to be like, I don't know if they're going to come back within six months. Maybe we should question this passport. Oh, really? That's why? I would think so. Oh, you're making that up. Yeah, I mean, then people would just leave right around the expiration and stay in another country and they'd be good to go. I don't think it works like that.
Like you're not just good to go if you stay there. Right, I know. Because you would need like a visa. But you'd be able to board and do all that stuff with a passport that by date says it's okay. Hold on. So is this real? No, no, this is legit. I watched it. Brittany Aldin one time. Her kids almost weren't able to go on one of their tropical vacations because their passport's expired within six months. And my Eric Dodds, best friends, they couldn't go on their honeymoon. No, this is a bunch of kids. No, they couldn't go on their honeymoon. My cousin's buddies, mailman. Wow. They were unable to go and consummate the marriage because on their honeymoon, because their passport's expired within six months. So definitely something to look into. Did you know our baby has to have a passport? No. Baby's not going on the cruise, but we have to get it a passport. Get her a passport. Really? Yeah. What's it going to do out there? But to leave the country is still a document. Yeah. Okay, I guess so. It seems like the transport and babies back and forth with no documents. Yeah, I guess that would be the living thing.
I thought it was odd that you have to get one as a baby baby because they're good for 10 years. You're a nine-year-old. How do you know that baby matches? I know. That's what I mean, when Steven's in first scott here, he's seven in his passport and when he travels now, he's 16. He looks very different. And the baby has a passport picture? Like, we haven't taken it yet. Yeah, but it would just have a little like, we just hold it up, I guess. Right. Yeah, I know I thought it was weird, but it makes sense because you can't just be taking babies everywhere. So the cruise is going to be on us before we know it. I know I can't wait. Well, that's not rush things. What do you mean? Because we've got Christmas. Now, you got to look forward to this. I know, I'm going to be more today. It's also not going to make it move faster or slower because we're talking about it. Okay. I think it does. Like, sometimes I'll just, if I'm going to- You think it moves faster because we're talking about it. Yeah, I think so. I want to be in the net. Like, I want to look forward to it to your point, Eddie. Absolutely. I'm looking forward to it. It's just like, yeah, I don't like to think about that it's going to be here in the blink of an eye.
Because it will be. Yeah. But I don't- March 7th. Wow, I can't wait. Like, that cigar I got in Key West. Basically tomorrow. Oh my gosh. So am I going to be turning 46 at sea? How long will we out there? A week. Is that during your birthday? Celebration? I guess we'll be back. Oh. What do you think we're saying? They're the whole month? I was thinking 7 plus 7 is 18, but it's- No, 7 plus 7. Oh, okay, I got it. Yeah. I know. Okay.
I never saw them. Who is talking about dudes? I was like, dude, dude. But you know what? You're not to blame here. There's no- I want to hear the story first. So they said that they were walking right kind of where the garage exit is. And they said they saw you coming and they had to jump out of the way because you almost hit them. That just wouldn't have been true. Co-worker. Because I would have seen them if they had to jump out of the way. Also, you have to stop there. You have to stop there. You do have to stop, but there's heavy foot traffic. And there's another exit to the right of us. Two cars coming out at the same time. From another garage. Yeah, yeah. And then there's construction. Yeah. There's a lot going on down there. So much so that I stop very early to make sure I don't hit somebody. I think these people just want- they're just clickbait. I mean, they just kind of said like, oh, you know Bobby almost hit me. I would have seen someone have almost hit them. And- I almost hit one of our salespeople. Like walking. No, he was jogging. I guess he lives in the building too. And so like literally had to like slam on the brakes.
And he looked at me like, dude. At that same point, you should always stop right there. That's one of your months ago that Eddie comes flying down that ramp. I told you Eddie is an unsafe driver coming down that ramp. And boom. Guys, that's important. That's not it. There are five blind spots there. But you should always stop before we cross for Bartlett. Yeah. That's why I think there's no way I almost hit somebody. Because if I almost hit somebody, I would have seen them. Well, there was no mistake in it was you because they knew what you were driving. Okay, they probably just saw me driving. That's bull crap. They just want to be associated with Bobby. That's bull crap. I didn't almost get hit by a car. I didn't almost hit anybody. I didn't know it. Yeah, they're hoping you're going to say the same thing. Who was it, Griboy? No, no, no. It's a salesperson. Okay, no idea. I didn't almost hit anybody. Pissed me on. They just just be careful. No, I am careful. I am careful. Sometimes I- So how does it feel? Uh-oh. How does it feel? It's fake news. It didn't happen. I know. Well, to have a story exaggerated about it. Not even exaggerated. It did not happen. I don't know. Oh, fabricated.
Why would they make that up? I mean, people, you all mixed up up all the time. Because they probably just wanted something to talk about with you. I'm telling you, I am so aware of that ramp because there's another car coming out of the side and all the construction and the people walking through. I am so aware that just didn't happen. Oh gosh, I forgot to tell you guys. The other day, we were- I was driving on the highway and guess what? They were slow cars up ahead and I started getting closer to all of them. Guess who's slowing the traffic down. Bobby. Again, Bobby! That's not true. It was you! Maybe that I could believe. Really? We were going to Franklin. See? And we were going to the same thing and I was like, wow, I wonder if Bobby's going to get there on time or get there early or what? And then I happened to just see you on the road. Yeah, but I wasn't driving unsafe. I was driving probably speed limit. Well, but if you're going slow and causing all the other cars to slow down- I'm not going slow. I'm driving the speed limit. They say that's unsafe sometimes. No, they don't. They do. No, they don't. If you drive the speed limit and I want- you're exaggerating. And I also, I never saw you. You never passed me. No, because I stayed behind you. Because when I got there, you were already there.
No, no, that's not true. That's not true. Oh. I stayed behind you the whole time because I was like, oh, this is perfect. We're going to get there together now. Was I going the speed limit? You were- Since I pulled up behind you, I looked at my speedometer and we were going under. Whatever. I- I- what speed limit's there? What also we were following to you about how safe I am? There's no way I almost hit somebody. I'll take going slightly under the speed limit but there's no way I almost hit somebody. What if they came up on your blind side? Right, maybe you never saw them. That happens. You have a bad eye. Right, what happened to you? But if I never saw them, it means they weren't in front of me at all. They were just way to the side is on them. I could've been driving slopes, they do drive slopes. If I'm not in a hurry, I'm not in a hurry. Why am I rushing? Yeah, no, no. I know you were for sure driving slope because I saw that with my own eyes. The other one is just here, say. Just word on the street. There's somebody who drives a van down in our parking garage, and it's a really long van. They park right at the curve. Uh-huh. Saw it. And you go around the curve, and you have to go around the van around the curve, and then you can actually hit some thing
everybody. Yeah, there's the white van, and then a black Ford, like F-150, that parks it up on the next level in the similar in spot. And I'm like, these big things can't park on the in spot, because yes, it's scary. And I've got the same thing too, so I did some observations there. They parked right up on the pillar. So like, they couldn't go up anymore, but it's just a bad spot. They can't be on the end, though. They need to go right up on the pillar on the inside. That's bad spot. Also, you leave a misticky note? No. No, no, no, no. You can. I didn't almost hit somebody. Just telling you what they said. I might have been driving slow. No, I probably didn't speed limit. But then when I heard that, I was like, oh, thank goodness, because lunchbox, it took me straight to when lunchbox said that I was flying down that ramp. And I'm conscious of when I go down that ramp. You're reckless in the parking garage a little bit. I fly around the corner sometimes. It depends if I'm late or not. Yeah. Well, I wasn't late to where we were going, so why would I be going fast?
No, you're just chilling, dude. And I have a fast car, so it's probably weird that I don't go fast. That is so weird to me. Like, I would be flying in that car. No, you wouldn't. Yes, I would. You get one speeding ticket and go, this sucks. Insurance sucks. Yeah, but you haven't even gotten one speeding ticket. Try to get that one first. No. You think cops look at you and be like, like, you're a target because you do have a fast car? I don't think so, no. That's what I think. I don't think so, but I don't try fast. So, all right. You want to do top sandwiches? What do you think is the number one sandwich? Peanut butter and jelly. Yeah, or grilled cheese. Oh, that's pretty good. That's number one for me. Bologna and cheese. Ooh, it's a lot of classic. Okay, so what's number one? America's number one sandwich. Peanut butter and jelly. Peanut PB and J. They sell the most of those. They eat the most of those. Kids devour them. Number eight, meatball.
What? Oh, so it wasn't PB and J? Number one. You're starting at eight? Yeah, because he's not going to tell you what. I didn't do one through seven. I said eight first. Did you think you fell asleep for one through seven? I was too fast to pick eight. No, no, no. Oh my god. When you asked me to pick one. Yes. I thought you'd tell us the answer. I'm going to at number eight. Hey, listen, just because the salesperson said you almost hit someone. No, you didn't almost hit it. Hey, okay, you didn't almost hit him. Take a break. I think you're a safe driver. I'm sorry that happened to you. But what happened with Eddie is, Eddie, you don't deserve Eddie. I was being safe and that counters the argument of that I was being safe. That is true. Wow, it's two different instances. But it's not. Yeah, it may specifically be two different instances, but it's the same person that drives the same way. Is that why you're upset? Are you upset? No, we often go through this backward. Okay, BLT. Number eight, me ball. Me ball too, which is so good. Fantastic.
I'm stopping there. No, no, no, no. You're only going to know the number eight. This is stupid. We never get to know number one. We're all just intergoing, man. I wonder what it was. Number seven, peanut butter and jelly. Oh, no. We were way down there. It must just be kids. They're PBJ in it. I love it. I like it. And what are adult seating? It's our G and G. BLT. No. Number six, X sandwich. Yum. That's pretty good. Mm-hmm. Mm. X salad. No, not the same as X sandwich. Oh, what? Like scrambled X sandwich. Is this X sandwich? Oh, like a Friday. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I love it. I love it. Number four ham sandwich. Okay. Number three turkey sandwich. Oh, thank you. Number two chicken sandwich. All right, grilled cheese. Number one grilled cheese. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Cool. Well, now you changed yours to peanut butter and jelly. What? You changed yours to peanut butter and jelly. I win with grilled cheese. Now, you know, then you said number one is peanut butter and jelly. We literally heard you. Yeah. I was first one to our grilled cheese. You want to bet your flight to Vegas on it? No, no. I'm saying I was the first one to throw grilled cheese on it. No, then you said no. It's peanut butter and jelly.
Hey, whatever, man. I'm sorry that happened to me. Thank you. I'm sorry that happened to you, too. Okay. Everybody good? Are you good? No, I'm pissed, actually. That didn't almost hit somebody on the ramp. I just... Now, if I hit somebody today, that's going to suck. That really would be fun. I tried to fight it, and then I hit somebody. Go. On the Bobby Bones show now. Came Brown. How's it going, buddy? Going good. Ray wants to ask you something. Now's your time, Ray. Now's your time. You want it? You want it here? Big shot. Go ahead. I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it. You want it? You want it here? Big shot. Go ahead. Okay. Hey, can you hear me? Yeah. So we were wondering if you wanted it. No, no, no, no, we. I have nothing to do with this. So I was wondering. There's this like basketball hoop that's really popular around the country. It's called pop a shot. And if you were willing to have it in your bar, then I would get a finer's fee. So that's kind of why I'm curious about it. But would you be willing to have a huge basketball hoop type thing in your bar? Of course. Yeah. Just a pen. I don't know. It's kind of small.
I don't know where you put it. Yeah. Exactly. And not only that, Ray just wants to find his fee. And I said if Kane was going to get a pop a shot, he'd probably buy one and then just collect the money from it himself. What is the pop a shot? Is it like the normal arcade game? Yeah. It's got a, it's really cool, but it's got the digital back screen. So fun fact, Ray made top eight nationally on ESPN. Oh, thank. When him played on ESPN pop a shot, it's the, this, that thing. Yeah. And he's like, well, Kane, will you call Kane? This way he said, call Kane and ask him if I can put one of those machines in his bar. I'm like, no, I'm not calling Kane to ask him that. Was that just today? It was a week or so ago. Oh, I appreciate it. Out of every bar in Nashville, you thought about mine. No, he knows I know you. He's like, well, you call Kane and at, so I'm just cool with it being floated towards him. And so maybe we start leaning in that direction. And then I think we're closer to the $500 Finder's fee. This discussion helped with that, I believe. Cause I think they said, pop a shot will contact you and they'll do the rest. But as long as I just put it past him, I believe that's how I get my Finder's fee.
He's dying for a Finder's fee. And he's the owner of the $500. You're just sitting on a couch, why not? There you go. So we asked him, okay, we can follow up at some point. Yeah. I'm down though. No, no, no. He likes basketball. Yeah, I'd be fun. Yeah. But there, it doesn't matter. That'd be a good conversation after. I just wanted to rate it. I just wanted to rate it. Ray would be there every Saturday, which I'm so far open, 11. What happens to your boyfriend? No idea. Yeah. Yeah. Well, whenever the opening time is, Ray will be there. He's on Broadway every Saturday for brunch. Can you show us up on the towel, our shoulder, 11 a.m. Open on his shoulders. I would say the food is far though. Are they, where'd you get the recipes? So the guy that I'm in business with, he also owns Zuzu right there. And he's out of Detroit. He has a lot of other restaurants. So like his main focus of everything was the food. And it's delicious. So you guys take pride in your food.
It's not just you go to a bar. There's also food. You guys have good food. Yeah, you got to try the lamb. Like you would go to a bar. You would, yeah, it's you wouldn't expect the lamb. But I never had lamb. And when I tried it, it was like, that was my new favorite meat. It was great. Well, it'd be cool if you had live lambs in there. So I got to pick it out. Like read a lot of stuff. Like read a lot of stuff. Like read a lot of stuff. Read a lot of stuff. Yeah, when they had that thing up front. I went to that lamb. And then they take it up. And maybe, maybe here a cane song. I said, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh. They eat the lamb. You can have that one for free. All right. That one deserves a fine food. I was watching a video of you playing new music. And you were playing it over the top. And you were singing along with it. Do you have to strategically plan when you do stuff like that when you put out? Because you didn't put that song out. But you're like, you'll hear it. Now, that song to me, after we recorded that day, felt like old school, like me back in 2016. And I was just happy and excited with it. So... Did you ever put out one of those songs where you put the work tape out or the demo and then you never put it out? Because...
Oh, yeah. Oh, you do? Yeah, probably done. At least 30 of those videos. Oh, I thought that's always... We're going to put this out. So let me put it out so people feel like they're involved. No, sometimes you just get excited with the song. And then a lot of times you forget about the song. It just kind of... You write something better. You write something similar to it. That you like better. I just... That song is for sure going on my album. And we recorded it that day. And it was just... I was just in love with it. Do you ever get in a meet and greet though? And someone goes, hey, you know what song I like? I like that song called Wednesday Willboro that you did. And you're like, oh, I posted that and never recorded it. Yeah, I have a lot of them that they're still. I'll post a video like that. Like we did the other day. And I want you to release this song Dead In. I released a teaser in 2016 or something like that. So you teased but then don't follow through? Yeah. I've thought about doing a record for all the old school fans where I did teased the music and never released and just put it out.
It'd be trash. That could be the title. How's your ear? It's good. It's good as I hit it. There's a little cartilage in there. I'll let you fill it out too if you want to. What happened? Like what happened happened? So I was golfing my buddy. It was kind of like my stepdad. And I was... So think of like a... I was in the middle. I had one guy over here and I had one guy over here. So... But we're at least 40 yards from each other. I'm a little... Hey, you know, because my drive went further. But so, Dio hit it. I'm standing on my caddy. Man, my caddy right in the middle. So Dio hit this way and my caddy ducked. And I was like, oh, did he almost hit us? And he's like, no, that just scares me. So that made me turn around and actually face the guy that hit me. I'm still not going to say his name. But face it made me watch him or would it probably just smack me in the back of the head? And I wouldn't be here.
But he hit a three wood and it just like was going straight and then just sliced what was more like going this way. Because he was supposed to be hitting this way but it came directly at me. And so all I had time to do was just go like this. And it hit me directly in the side of the head. And so I just went down and then all of a sudden I was like somebody was dumping water on my hand. Did you hear the ball coming? Oh, yeah, you know how it just says yeah. And it just hit and it was like a grenade went off. It was just rings. There was no pain, no nothing. It was just there was so much blood that I was in shock. And my friend just went to a coma a year before from getting in the head and the head of the softball. So I thought my brain was bleeding. And after like two minutes I was like, okay, I'm still functioning. So I was like, it was still ringing. So I was like, please don't let me be deaf. And then after five minutes I started being able to hear. And we walked the blood off and they're like, no, your ears just split in half.
So I was like, okay, cool. So then I stood up and then I was woozy. You stayed on the ground though for a while. Yeah, for about four or five minutes. So do you go to the hospital immediately? Yeah, but it was carts on. I mean, it was no carts was walking only. So I had to wait for a cart to come all the way down to get me. Which I don't know if you played Bounty Club yet. You know you're cooler than I am. Well, you were going to go out and play Bounty Club. I had, yeah. And I hear the hit people with the balls there. I played yesterday for the first time. I was nervous. Low PTSD. I don't know what happened. I remember when that happened. I didn't know it was that close, but I didn't maintenance on a golf course for a long time. And that's that pissing me off when people hit on to people. The years was different because it was you guys were cl... But I would see people and I ever only got hit like a leg or a back. But I would see people getting hit neck and head from people hitting on to us workers. Those balls sliced cut like do a lot of damage. Did you think when you went to the hospital, what was worst case scenario for you when you got there? Well, I felt great.
But the doctor was like, man, if this was an inch forward or backwards, he's like, it's going to be... It would have been a little different. He said the only thing that I'm worried about now is that you might have a broken bone in your ear. I didn't even know we had bones in our ear. It might be a broken bone, so we had it going to get a cat skin and some other stuff. And he was like, you're good. And it's like the air drum looks great, everything. Okay, I'm trying to picture. You said your catty made a move that then made you move. For the first guy. Yeah, but that... But you turning your body repositioning because then when you were telling the story, you said, how did it hit me in the back of the head? I wouldn't be here. Yeah, I mean, think of it. It's like a hundred and fifty mile an hour ball from me to Martha behind you. Yeah. It's not a bullet. It's not a bullet, but... That's pretty. If I told anybody in this room, go stand right there and let me put a three wood ball down and hit it as hard as I can, I heard nobody's going to do it. Well, that's beyond what you'd miss. But... But you still would do it. Yeah, yeah. I agree.
Yeah, okay. I was just trying to understand because yeah, I didn't have that perspective and I don't know much about golf, but now that helps me have a better idea of just how fortunate you were in that you said you only turned because the catty was reacting to the other guy. Yeah. That's pretty good. I know. And also... Like Kane said, he outdrove them. What should we do? We should wait back behind them and let them hit. We don't... Because I do it too. We just go to our ball. Yeah. We shouldn't really be up ahead. But we outdrove them. So we want to go make sure everybody knows where... Yeah, I mean... So outside that happened yesterday. I did it and then I was playing with my buddy David. I don't know if he met him. I was still waiting after the other guy already hit his shot. David walked 40 yards to his ball because I was still behind the other guy. I was like, I'm not getting in front. It's sore. It is if you like my son will like do this and just kind of get rough on me and he'll hit it every now and then. But that's really a long time. My feelings were heard a little bit with something you said recently.
Okay. Do you know what it is? It's so good. It's just a little, not fully, but just a little. You said you didn't have any friends in the industry? Well, no. So it came off weird. I said friends that we hang and we drink beers with and hit the golf. When have you ever been like, hey bro, what are you doing? I ain't doing anything. You're gonna come to? Oh yeah, never. I don't do any. Exactly. That's more fair because I would think if someone's up, you could call me for sure. Yeah, a million percent. Okay. Yeah, yeah. I was a little bit, I thought he says he's gonna have any friends. That, the articles that were gone around made me, made me seem like sad. I was sad for you. I was mad for me. I was like, no, I had learned it me. She's like, you're a little. I was thinking because you had learned a lot of friends in middle school. And you're like, I have nobody. I didn't mean it like that. I gotta give you an organ if you need a wine. Okay, he's like, no man, nobody will talk to me.
That's what I felt. Yeah, no, those articles made it seem like that too, the little headline pictures that they do. I just meant like somebody that we just, I feel like Morgan and Hardy, they're real close. I just want that. Because in the industry, we're the only ones that can really relate to each other. But also, it's tough in the industry if you travel. So that's why you don't get a lot of people that are front facing that can be together a lot, unless they're touring together because of promotion schedules, touring schedules, all of that. I'm just letting you know, 18% I was 18% hurt. But now you have clarity. But now I have clarity because I'm just like, what does he need? Is he ever got hurt? I was like, I don't know, I was just hurt, but now I feel good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How you doing physically? You working out still? You hitting it as hard? Yes, sir. You're still as dedicated? Because you were really fired up for a while. Yeah, that was during the bodybuilding phase. And I've actually kind of tried to get back to it.
And it's, I'm struggling. Is it the food part? Yeah, it's not the working out. It's just the, I don't know. I have like a really strict goal of what I see. And I've been on it for three years now, and I still haven't seen it. And so that's what gets frustrating. You haven't seen what? Like what? Like what? Like what I want. The results that you want. Yeah, which I think the results that I have, that I see that I want to look like I think I'll have to do something. I think I'll have to do steroids. What's the problem? It's crazy. What are you guys doing? You guys doing it? No, he's too big. You guys doing it? Yeah, he's too big. He's too big. Yeah, he's too big. Okay. Yeah, not bad. Don't be ridiculous. That's not what's great. So how much protein do you have to eat? I eat like around 200 or 200 kilograms of protein a day. Do you have it where in the breakfast you eat a certain amount of protein, do you wake up and you have to put meat down? So normally like when I was doing the bodybuilding thing, I had to do a little bit of the bodybuilding. It was like three scrambled eggs, which that was all of a cut. But then I get, I'm naturally the skinny guy. So I got too skinny.
And so I was like, I want to see my abs, but then I lost, I didn't have any muscle really. So it's like, I don't know. I feel really weird talking about this. But it's just, I have to eat to look how I want to eat. But then I don't look as ripped and then it just really pisses me off. Hey, man, same. Hey. This is two guys relating. Yeah, I'm glad we can be together just relate. Can't text me like, hey, man, I want you to get involved. I want you to do this. I'm like, no. You're dead of what? Like he was like, how's your fitness? In the, oh, in the world. No, this was one that, no, this was, it wasn't about fitness. This was just the, I wanted Bobby to just come in. It was just an eight pack. He got shocked to work. Well, he said, and I said, well, because I had just had ankle surgery. And I said, well, I just lost like 14 pounds, you know, because I didn't get to work out. Well, my bad, I didn't even notice. It's, when guys lose 14 pounds, it's completely different. I wanted you to be, but that means I'm not then. All I hear from you is you're not.
I'm not, no, I'm not talking bad about you. I'm just saying, we, everybody could improve. I could improve. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. I survived. And I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart. And these are the survivor files. I just remember this low taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything. Every week, I'm with survivors who lived through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. They're stories about what it takes to make it out alive.

On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus, or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I choose option B. I'm Julie Binierro, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes, without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people, and they were like, you smiled at us, not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is, and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip,
I hope you listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. In February of 2024, celebrated illustrator and children's book author, Patre Mathers, and her husband Michael, nailed letters to dozens of friends and family members to let them know that they had died by suicide. By the time you get the shalliter both Petra and I will be dead. Next stop, Wonderland. Patre and Michael were by all accounts healthy, happy, and in love. Why did they do it? And what did it do to the people they left behind? I would have given a million reasons to not leave this world had I known. I keep coming back to a truly hope that Patre was a thousand percent on board with the plan. Do you think of him as having killed her? Yes, I do. I hold Michael responsible for my mother's death. I'm Leon Nayfak. And I'm Alice Gregory.
Together we set out to interview everyone who got one of Patre and Michael's letters. As one married couple, trying to understand another. Listen to death of an artist on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's the nicest hotel you've ever been in? Oh man. Do you have a favorite hotel ever? Favorite hotel ever? Like the coolest hotel you've ever been in? All right, motos six. I can't think. I'll talk in my head. I really can't think. Some country, some weird hotel. It was like that one in Kenya where the giraffes come to the window. Or that. And you feed them? Yeah, you ever done that one? I've been in one in the United States for they did that. Wait, what? With giraffes? Yeah, it's a zoo. Oh, is that Disney? No, it ain't Disney. But it's a hotel? Yeah, it's a hotel. I want to say it's in Montana. Wait, why were we trying to travel to Kenya when we could go do it in Montana? Yeah, there's like two giraffes. A couple other stuff. You sure it was just like a guy with a giraffe in neck? I'm not sure. No, I'm fine. Okay, we need to know. We need to know about this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have to ask, am I a bit in Disney?
Because I know there's a place in Disney where it's like Safari World. Am I a bit in Orlando? Am I a bit in Orlando? Obviously. Montana, Orlando. But it's still Kenya. You know what I'm saying? It's closer than Kenya. How about the giraffe in in Safari in Texas? Maybe. Luxury burns and glamping decks that allow you to hand feed giraffes directly from your room. There's also some art Disney. It's good, but just said. I got to see what it looks like. It's like we stayed in a, it's like a, it's all wood, like almost a cabin, but it was massive. That sounds like Disney. No, how much are tires for your car? I don't know. I just asked for new tires. You don't even have to check the price. I just, I will say this. Just in the industry, we're in, we're very privileged. And recently, I've had to live a normal day in life.
And let's just say this, I had a clean toilet the other day. And we have, we have like 13 toilets. And then clean sheets that like just aren't your sheets, like just doing your normal bed. Like having to do like pull-house sheets. What, why are you doing all that? It's just that let's just say you. Time's tough. It's been tiring. I ain't gonna lie to you. You need to know. You're good. I guess I, I keep looking at you over here. Well, pay me. Yeah, it's been, it's been rough. I asked because my, my SUV, because my tires were 1200 bucks a piece. I don't know if yours were that expensive. I have no idea. I usually have a, I have a tire guy though. I haven't had to replace my tires on my. Mine only go 8,000 miles and they're dead. I have no idea. Yeah, you keep saying that. But no, I have. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. All right. It's been a good 10 years or so. Yeah, I hear them. I hear them.
Right. When did you first like stop knowing what things cost? Which would be, I totally understand for you. I'd say 20, 16. Yeah. About 10 years. That's cool, man. You really made it good for you. We're proud of you. I don't know. I, I ain't gonna lie. I came in, I came into the industry. I'm just being, I'll see y'all. When I came into the industry and I got my, my business manager, which everybody has. I hope everybody has. I didn't realize, because I never paid my taxes. I mean, I, I paid my taxes, but it was like my mom paid my taxes. I didn't realize how much taxes were. And I thought I got robbed when I got here for the first time. That's like, I was so bad. I'm just, I'm just talking. That's real. But yeah, like when you don't, you got it, you really got to, for all the new artists coming in, like, because you go from, and this is real talk, you go from, I was working
on a target in FedEx to struggling to, you know, getting a McChicken sandwich from McDonald's and going in debt over McChicken's like $3 and then it would turn into 40, because you, you didn't have money in there, you know what I'm saying? So they would just keep charging you until you paid it. Yeah, they overdraft fees. Yeah. Yeah, drove me nuts, bro. So I was going to get $200 loan fees out just to pay that and then I owed them. So it was bad. So I got, you know, they went out and got a business manager. It was, you didn't have to worry about anything anymore. You got to keep up though. You got to keep looking at the bills, make sure nothing's crazy. Take, take anything out. Do you look at the bills? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I was looking at the station. It's just not tires. So do you just, you, you're saying you don't have to look at the bill for the tires or they gift them to you because it's like, oh, came new to your tires here. Yeah, you get a lot of, yeah. You get a lot of, yeah. You get a tire again? It's, it's that whole thing like the, the richer you get, the more you get for free. I'm familiar with it. Yeah. You're talking about land, you're talking about Lamborghini tires. Yeah. But, yeah. Yeah, you do like car shows and, yeah, nobody asked me to do cars.
Come to mind, bro. I don't have any friends. I don't, I don't have any friends. What's up with new music? I know we don't have any right this second, but can you talk about it? There's something on the way. New music? Yeah. Yeah, I'm excited for it. It was supposed to be out in October. Mm-hmm. I think it's gonna be a march now. Why would happen? Just, wasn't really filling the music. I don't know. I was really, I really want to focus on this album and just kind of do, I've been all over the place with it wanting to write songs that are stories. Wanted to sound old school, like, not just country, but like different sounds, like 50s type music. And then I was been talking to people and they're like, bro, your album doesn't have to sound cohesive. You haven't had one album sound cohesive. Why do it now? And I was like, you're right. I'm gonna put a rap song on, I'm just kidding. But, you know, just, I don't know, but I'm in love with it now and we got a lot of outside
songs. I don't have a lot of outside songs. I think we got three or four now. They're actually, smashes. One of them is the one that I put up the other day. So yeah, I'm really excited. I think it's this one. I know I say this a lot, but this one is my favorite album. Yeah, I make fun of people when they say that. I think I've said it every album. I don't know how to make fun of you specific, but you should feel that way. One, you should feel that way. And two, that and the other thing that I make fun of people for saying is it's my most personal album yet. Oh, that's the same person. Oh, you're the first person to ever say that. No, no, no. This is just, this is just, I'm only going for hits. Yeah. That's the most honest thing anyone's ever said about their music. Yeah, this is just straight. I just want, I mean, the one, I mean, I'm releasing, I think next month is Chennai Twain, who's bad, who's been under the guys version. Yeah. I mean, the only thing personal with that with me is just I grew up to that song, but. I just want all bangers. Is this one after the other? Yeah.
So are you okay, the guy version of that would be where who's bad have you rolled on a journey? Yeah, figured out reverse engineer that reverse engineer. Okay, she's saying who is she singing that to a guy though? Mm-hmm. Yeah, she's saying who's bad. Yeah, who's been looking up with this and you're saying only your bed? Yeah. Or you saying, I know just about five. This is her asking me now. I'm like, you're crazy for asking me this. Right. Because they have it. My view is happening in the middle. It's not only women love it when you call them crazy to like it's one thing I've learned to do. Yes. Yeah, they love it. That's how it works. Yeah, but he didn't mean it's when you say you're acting crazy versus like, oh, don't be crazy. I got it. There is a difference in the usage there. Yeah. It just never worked well for me if I've referred to any woman crazy ever. Yeah, that's cool. You like it? Love it. Yeah, and I think Shana is doing some backup vocals and all that. That's cool.
What about woman, about to be number one? I love it. Most personal song yet. That one really is personal. Um, but yeah, and that one, that one I had a lot of fun creating that one. That one was the one that like hit me in the gut from like when I first started that I was really excited about why? I don't know. Some of those songs just do that, you know. And it was like I it was like I saw everything happening. It was like it was just a gift from above that song. I just kind of fell in my lap and I envisioned everything. It was like it was already written out for me whenever it popped into my head. So it was one of those that came out just quickly too. Like yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, because it was literally is my boys asking me, do you want to go out and not know, you know, not a look then. Kates in there cleaning. I'm like, I got a perfectly amazing woman right here. Yeah, it's for what it's of. Well, congratulations man. Great to see you. Great to see you're healthy. Great to see that we are still friends and I didn't know.
Yeah, you never know when people talk about you. You're talking bad about you in the press. That's how I took that. Him talking bad about me in the press saying we're not friends. You never know. Um, super excited. Let us know when the new music's ready. Is there? Let's play it up. That song is going to be fun. I can already tell it's just just a fun radio, right? Radio friendly song. I'm assuming the melody, it's going to be very similar. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's not. It is different. I will say it is more, it's more modern, but it's still like very, it's country. But is the melody of this song? Yeah, it's not a copy at all, but there's parts of the melodies in the song. So there are parts that where you do here, you know, you're singing the song. Yeah. Yeah, that's what we want. Yeah. All right, that's cool. Anything else? Amy from Kane. I just love his videos with, um, I'll say to you, I love your videos with Lauren Elena lately. Like I, because you all been, you know, I guess doing stuff because you've been hanging out together as your friends, but also y'all have your song together.
And they're so cute. Like y'all, I don't know. We got you the other day and I watched it like three times because I was trying to figure out what's going on, but she was explaining to Kane like everything she was going to go do, like simple things. Oh my god. And Kane was not catching on at all. And it kind of took me a second too. But then I was like, I bet y'all hanging out was like a couple, like your wife or husband and it just seems like you'll have a lot of fun together. Yeah, cam's cool too. I really like cam and they're sweet daughter Benny. Mm-hmm. And your kids. She was just asking me, or she was saying she was like, I'm going to go fix my hair in the bathroom. I was like, okay. And then she was like, I'm going to go use the bathroom like 30 minutes later. And I was like, go use the bathroom. I don't know what that was. It's like secretly filming the interaction. Yeah, yeah. And Kane had no idea. And she was doing it all day. So there's different scenes. And then finally he caught on and he was like, what? Why are you telling me every little thing that you're going to do? Anyway, that along with other videos that y'all been putting up have just been really cute.
That's the word. That's the cool thing. And Deering. Well, there he is. The wonderful, the talented Kane Brown everybody. Nice job. Who's the Uber driver? Do anything in Houston and two cops jumped in the back of his car and they said go chase that suspect. Uh-oh. I feel like that's not allowed. That's putting that guy in danger. That's not allowed. Like that guy doesn't have any protection. And what if the suspect pulls out of gun pop pop? But if they got in my car, I would have done it. I would have driven them. I'm sure. You have to chase with your children in the car. I mean, just for the lunch box is dream. I do chase the sudden. He's Mr. Moral. I would not do it. No one will. I would do it. I'm just saying, man, that seems pretty dangerous when you think about it. But in the moment, I'd be like, a new driver in Houston got the surprise of his life from click to Houston. When two police officers chasing a suspect on foot jumped into his car and said follow that person. The suspect was one of threatening a woman and her two children and dashcam video captured one of the officers and go, go, go is the driver followed the guy. I feel like those cops are going to be in trouble.
Huh. Yeah, I think you got to take him out of the car. But hey, I need your car police. I think that's movies. They do that. They do that. They put it on. They punch you. Then they take it. And then they go back and they're like, yeah, I had to punch them. There's a guy who's going to jail for shooting a bald eagle in his backyard. Oh, my gosh. Why did he do that? Right in his crops. That's America's bird. Interesting. He's the eagle, which they don't associate with America. It's just like a, what you're saying, a bad bird. Like one that eats, who said crops? You were on trucks. One truck. Yeah, one who's like the birds are trouble. Like a, like we consider like a, like a crow or something. Wow. Yeah, like a pest. A vulture. Mm-hmm. But why did he do that? A vulture a crow. No, dude. They're much bigger. Yeah, I'm gonna say a bigger crow. They're huge and their faces are like red and they're gross looking. But their nature's garbage can. Like really? Like anything that dies, they eat it. I saw him eating an armadillo yesterday.
And you're sure a vulture and a crow aren't same thing? I don't know that I'm certain. Are they the same family? I mean, we're bird people. Yeah, I do go to the experts here. I believe they are different. They look different to me. They look smaller. Got it. Uh, guys going to a prison for shooting and killing a bald eagle in his backyard. He was sentenced Friday to 14 days behind bars in order to pay $5,000. They say shot the eagle as it sat in a tree, then hid the wounded bird under a tarp in his garage. Dude, what are you, this bird wasn't doing anything wrong. It's so sad. Because like, what if the bird was attacking like a small dog? Then he got a shoot. Then he got a shoot. Then he got a shoot. Yeah, you don't wave the flag. I was eating your chihuahua. Okay, I get that. But yes, if this is all the bird was just there and he shot it. Okay, what if he didn't know it was an eagle though? Oh, you know it's a bald eagle. Yes, they have the white head and everything and the yellow beak. They're very unique. Well, they are federally protected. Yeah, so where's your going to put what's this punishment? 14 days. 14 days in jail.
And that's not even counting what they're going to do to him in there. Yeah. You think they're going to do bad stuff to him because he killed the eagle. That's what you do. He's like, that's what a kid. Right. Do it for the eagle. Okay, let's see. Voice mail. Ray Mundo. In the video, they're putting 500 billion investment in chat G.P. team. Why don't you guys give us an update on how y'all stocks are doing because y'all invested in the video a long time ago and we get an update. We can. We can. And I'll go to mine too. He's getting his phone out of his bag. So it's about what it was last time. Hasn't changed. It's still up. And I got my money back from lunchbox and I just put it back in over here. Yeah. Just so I'd have access to it. Mark. Amy, how's your Nvidia doing? I have no idea. Oh, yeah, because you don't have any. You're out. I know I got it out, but I have other investments. But not in the video. No, I do. I just don't. I should compare investments as you as is the most. Oh, please. Okay. I need the dollar amount.
I hate to tell you. This account I've been doing. I've got a lot of money in here. How much? Big dog. So you don't need a flight to Vegas? I do. Ooh, you can pay your own way. You got a lot of money. Yeah. What do you got in there? What's your Nvidia? Total return is $4,841. What's your percentage, though? Because total return is just money in. What do you mean? Oh. Um. Five years. Here we go. I'm trying to figure that out. This every time. What app are you using? Robin Hood. Okay. You see the green or it says it says that number on green? Yeah. If you touch that green, it'll bring up a little screen. It gives you all the options on what to hit. You'll see a last price, percent change, your equity, today's return, total return, total percent change at the bottom. Ah, man, I'm... Total percent change is 113%. Yeah. Mine's at 111%. So... Yeah, not bad. There you go. Pretty dang good, fools. Pretty dang good. Are we gonna compare stocks over here?
I don't think my business got more. No, no, no, no. Hey, me. Oh, no, I mean, I'd have to email my... Oh. ...someone that helps me. Oh, you don't have just Robin Hood right? How I do it on my own and read my own stuff. I... You didn't even want to work your screen. Bobby just had to tell you how to do it. Yeah. I still am not... I'm not sure I did it right, but ay, I'm not doing all right. With that answer, you're doing it right. Oh good. Because that was basically the answer I had. Let's see. Oh yeah, that one... Man. That's not doing that great. See, that one is... I anyway. Oh, my TKO, it's up 14%. Nice. My sphere is up 33.4%. Sphere, that's the venue in Vegas? Yep. Did you buy Bitcoin when I told you to? I did. It should be up a little bit. Let's see, on that, I am negative $28. Oh dang. Yeah, so that's not good. But yeah, sphere, I bought three shares of that sucker. Wow, you and three shares of the venue? Yeah.
That's cool. He owns three of those. Not bad, the pixels. 33%. Not bad. I wonder if you can get free tickets. Since you're a shop owner. Just show that. Just go up to the ticket counter and be like, I own this place. Yeah. I mean, so hey, I'm doing all right. What was that one Ray told us to get from the guy in the bar? I have it. What was it called? C-E-L-N. C-E-L-C. It is C-E-L-C and I'm up $18 on that one. I am minus 2% on that one. $3.92. What's your total amount, lunchbox? Like if you cashed out today. It should tell on the very top. Oh, I see it, man. Yeah, show him. What is it? It's big money. Can I just see it? Let me see it. Nah. I'll show Eddie mine if you show it. Of course you, you want to know. No, it's just Robin Hitch. I just mess around with this. This is not for me at all. Eddie, I want me to show you but you can't say the number. I won't say it. I'd love to see it. Ready? Oh, man.
Because this for me is just, this is a nacre count. I count. I can't get by the microphone. I'll show you live on the mic. Live on the mic, man. No more. You ready? Yep. Wow. Really? Dude. He's put a lot in there. I'm shocked. Okay, wait. Let me see. I'm shot no-a-nd. You can't. No one's here. He probably has more than I have in mind then. I just used this for like a show. Okay, you come over here. I just used this for show bids. I know. Not Bobby's bigger. I told you. I know way bigger but it doesn't, I mean, I'm surprised how much money lunchbox has. Yeah, mine is not, it's not that because you guys are ballin'. Do you know how much you up overall on your whole account? And Eddie, you can look at this to make sure I'm not lying. Gosh, that's crazy. So what do you mean to do? So if you scroll the bottom here and you can show us on him. You just go to your toe? Yeah, all time. I'm up. Oh, that's a lot of green. I'm up.
How? How's that more than? How much is it? Oh, that, that, got it. How much is the up, Eddie? I'm up. How much are you up? How much is the up, man? Show out of yours. What are you gonna say? Bobby's is green. Show out of yours. Good re. All right. We can do, if you don't feel comfortable with what you're up, my money wise we can do percentages. Okay, that's what I'm up. Yeah, it's cute. It's cute. That's cute. Dude, you know what though? I mean, don't even 401k get out of here. That's your money. That's your retirement. No. Over the time, I'm up. Did you do all? Did you do all? All time. The bottom, you scroll all the way to the right. But you know how to do that, but you didn't know the other thing? Yeah. Okay. I'm up 40.3%. I'm up 52.55%. Yeah, yeah, that's why I said cute. Oh. Well, percentage though, you don't have to be relative. Oh, but the... I mean, technically, I mean, our 401k is invested in the market too. Are they making 40%? Woohoo! Yeah.
I wouldn't hold on to that. What do you mean? 40% is hard to maintain. Oh, wow. Because I'm up 52%. And I don't think that'll mean it. So what do you recommend? He catches out today. I don't recommend him to do anything. I'm pretty good at... I'm staying out of the record. I'm pretty good at picking these stocks, man. Lunchbox. I'm impressed, dude. I wouldn't even mess around with 401k. You're rolling right now. What if he does both? I don't know. No, this is more fun, man. Yeah, it's not supposed to be fine. If it's fine, it's not saving. It's not safe. It's not security. Yeah, I can't believe I had this much fun. I know. I can't believe you had that much fun either. That Bobby, I mean, I got that. Yeah. But mine's not a lot. It's good. But I'm saying, this is just an account I mess with. That's you messing around. I don't want to see what you're doing. You're serious. Like, I don't know, man. Amy, let me see yours. I don't think I'm gonna drop it. Amy, no, no. I don't want to get it. No, I do have Robinhood. But my... Whenever lunchbox gaming... This is not a commercial, by the way, to all of our listeners. We have no deal with Robinhood. I have Acorn downloaded, too. But I would take one if they want to come on board.
No, I have someone that is... I'm doing something different. Is it Chase? Yeah, mine is... No. No. We brought it up. No, I don't know. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. No, we brought them on the show. No, he didn't. No, he didn't. Mine is... Mine is almost like just show. They saws robbers show bits. That thing that Amy told me to buy... It's up... Almost $4,000. Like... What is that? What is that? I never said. Oh, you never said it. I never said it. That was a masked man. But Amy, oh yeah. So you don't want to take your future into your own hands. You want to leave it to someone else. But that's her own hands. I am taking my future into my own hands. I give him money every single month. Every month. Well, every paycheck. Yeah. Oh man, I do it myself. So you're doing your own 401k? No, I have 401k too. And you do that? Oh man, some of these are negative. I need to get rid of that. They're red. No, no, like a lifetime over. Like today, they're up $9, but they're negative on the... I never look at the day.
Like I almost was going to buy some of these... I saw a video. Maybe I've been said to do you bought a... Bobby that we should be buying. I bought that one. The magnets one? Mm-hmm. I bought it. How's that doing? Hey, what the... I bought MP Materials. Stop. So which is a... MP Materials is... Production and marketing, a rare earth, especially materials. The magnets. And it is up for me. Overall, like, 60 bucks. Amy. Magnets, like, sharper image. Like, what do you mean? Like, I got a little toys on the desk. How... how many times we can go over this? Why only Bobby? Hello. I'm a Mr. Investor over here. Okay, I'll start sending them to you too. Thank you. Just get with her or count and do it. It had a chase. You already know him. Well, he's not in a... Count and he's like a... Oh, yeah. Financial planner. Person. Eddie's neighbor has offered Eddie her house. Yeah. What do you mean? She... we were just sitting outside and... And we were talking about her deck and how to cool the deck looks. And there's all this...
There's a fire pit back there and everything. And she goes, well, anytime you want to come back here, you're more than welcome. Even if I'm not in town. Oh, dude. Excuse me? She's got a grill, dude. She's got one of those grills that's built in. If she came home and you did not communicate with her, that you were going to use her grill and fire pit. Uh-huh. She just drove up. Like, say, a Sunday evening. Yeah. And you and the whole family are back there. How do you feel she would react? I think she would be surprised, but then I would hit her back with... You said anytime. Even if you weren't here. Right? Like, that's what I'm asking you guys. Does she mean that? Because she said anytime you guys want, even if I'm not here. I mean, anytime you want, you can go back there and use the fire pit. I would say that means anytime you want to use it, just let her know. Oh, not just walking. And even if she's not there, she's probably going to say, yeah, you can use it. No problem. But I would always let her know. But then she also said, like, I don't know, she's kind of laughing a little bit, but she said, even my house.
Like, the living room? The kitchen? That's crazy. And she's a single woman. So she's flirting with you? No, my wife was out there. She's next to me. Unless she's flirting with us. Yeah. I just wouldn't use anybody's anything without communicating with them ahead of time. And also if they say that, I feel like that's almost... Hey, we should get together sometime. But she volunteered it. I know. I didn't say... I'm just telling you how. I'd love to sit back there and use the fire pit. Mm-hmm. I think you could probably could do that. I would feel weird using it, though. Because I don't want to clean it up even better than it was before it started. And I put in so much... Now I've spent the evening one being so neurotic, just about the process of having to make sure that the kids are there, the kids aren't breaking anything. They're not getting anything dirty. So I got to clean it. I got... That neurosis would own me. The fire pit's nice, though, man. She has like 10 chairs around it. Oh, it's very nice. You got to use it. If you invest, follow lunch boxes. Through. Investing tips, you can buy you one of those. He's got cash in there.
Cash. Well, it's not cash. Could make it into cash and one click. And so what happens? If I hit sell, it goes... How do I... I should know this, but it goes to your checking account. Oh, okay. Yeah, your checking account's probably linked through that. Is it... I don't know how it is. It should. I don't think you'd be able to open it. Yeah, you can't really get money into it otherwise. I think I'll do a debit card. Okay. Then that debit card would go into your checking account. Okay. Yeah. Cool, man. Congratulations. Hey, man, that's what I do. I'm just an investor. Businessman making business deals trying to get that money. Honey. That's why I pays to read those financial reports. Are you jealous? A little bit. I just... Fomo. Just from all you guys looking at your number. I mean, yours, you're just messing around. But, man, that number... It's life-changing. It... You want it? For me, dude? Life-changing... That number? Yes. Yes. I mean, you know what heart is when it goes? That's cute.
Well, because I had just seen a bigger number. Way bigger number. Ugh. You know what I mean? And then it's like, it's like if someone is like, oh, you want my new card, dude, I just saw Lamborghini. Like... Why would I think this is cool? Yeah. You don't have to do that to the guy. Just say it. You don't have to do that to the guy. And that'll do it. Thank you guys for listening to the show. Hope you have a great weekend. There's a bunch of bobby casts up on Netflix, the Leon Morgan one. I thought it was super fun. So, just appreciate you guys being here. Hope you have a good one.
