Fox News Corrects Report on GOP Senators, SAVE America Act

Fox News aired a report this weekend naming six Republican Senators skeptical, or opposed to a talking filibuster for the Save America Act. That list included Senate leader John Thune of South Dakota, John Corden of Texas, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, John Curtis of Utah, Kevin Kramer of North Dakota, Tom Tillis of North Carolina, and Katie Britt of Alabama. The report spread fast on social media, prompting quick backlash from Britt, who called it blatantly false, and noted her work with Senator Mike Lee, too, built support using that filibuster approach. Fox News soon corrected the record that same day, with Lee thanking them publicly for highlighting Britt's efforts on the bill. The Save America Act aims to mandate photo ID for voting, proof of citizenship for registration, and removal of non-citizens from voter rolls.
