Fox Creek Advances to State Finals, Keenan's Run Ends

The Predators punched their ticket to the state title game against Christ Church on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. This marks Fox Creek's second trip to the state finals, after falling to Burke back in 2015. For Keenan, the defeat stalls their push for an 11-state championship, which would have tied great falls for the most in South Carolina history. And followed up their title from last year, the Raiders navigated a tough season without head coach Zach Norris on the bench, due to high school league sanctions from a summer rules issue. Norris served a 13-game suspension and couldn't coach playoffs, so assistant Harper led them to three row play-off victories to reach this point. Foul trouble her Keenan in the second half, with four players fouling out, including top score Antoine Kovman with 22 points.

Fox Creek had five players and double figures, led by Justin Vining's 20 points, as they head into the finals with momentum.
