And I, it's rich, and greetings from my senior citizen apartment. It is great being with you. It's great being alive. I'm 73. I've been feeling pretty good lately, and I've been enjoying walking with God. It's wonderful to know the Lord, and I'd like to share something with you here that caught my eye as I was reading in the Gospel of Luke. And it says here in Luke 5, 27, and 28, after this Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office and he said to him, follow me, and leaving everything behind, he got up and began to follow him. Boy, here's the perfect example of what Jesus is asking us to do to forsake all and follow him. And then listen to what it says here in Luke 5, 29-32. Then Levi hosted a grand banquet for him at his house. Now there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others who were guests with them.
But the Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his disciples, why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners? And Jesus replied to them, the healthy don't need a doctor, but the sick too. I've not come to call the righteous, but sinners too repentance. Isn't that beautiful? Thank God he loves sinners like you and me. Jesus is calling sinners to himself. Do you hear him? Then seek him out in prayer. Have you known the Lord, but you've walked away for one reason or another? Well, he's here, he loves you. He loves sinners like you and me. So go to him in prayer. Well, that's what I wanted to share with you and I shall visit with you next time.
